Adrien Agreste, or Chat Noir as he was now disguised as, stared blankly at the screen before him.

He had been visiting Korea with his father for a business trip. But it was getting stuffy in the hotel room so he had decided to go out and jump across roofs as Chat Noir.

He was near some bridge when the screen appeared. When the skies turned red. When the structures around him had fallen to ruin. When the giant fish and mantises rose from the depths of the Earth and Sea.

When the world ended.

He had acted immediately once he left his stupor. Jumping in to rescue as many civilians as possible, ignoring the screen before him.

Using his baton, enhanced strength, speed, endurance, and durability instead of his cataclysm, he moved Civilians out of the way of crashing rubble, or incoming Monster attacks.

Saving people who fell off the collapsed bridge.

His Korean was still rudimentary but he at least understood the thanks being thrown his way as he moved to save person after person, one after another, again and again. Before he knew it, the timer on the screen he had been ignoring had shown:

Chat didn't care. He wasn't about to kill anyone. His motif may have been destruction but he was still a Hero!

Or... at least he was the sidekick. That thought always ruined his mood. But he shoved it away as he always tries to do.

Angrily he swiped the screen with his claws. It didn't break. He growled. Which totally was't just a dog thing, cats growled too! Especially big cats.

He glared at the counting down seconds and a black glow encased his claws.

He swiped once more.

The screen angrily flashed red.

Dozens of flashing red screens filled his vision all around him. His Cataclysm followed through, corroding through each connected screen that appeared.

All of them dissolving into his cataclysm's signature black rust and disappearing.

With that his screen was no more.

The 30 Seconds pass and all Adrien could witness around him was carnage.

He wanted to vomit. His stomach queasy. Corpses were everywhere. Lifeless bodies littered the world. Those he saved no longer with him. Those that were, standing horrified over other bodies.

He lost any semblance of his usual triumphal attitude. This was serious.

Any gloating feeling he felt from beating whatever that screen was, completely disappeared as he swiveled his head and body.

Was it the same everywhere?

Was Paris in danger as well? Was his lady alright? What about Nino? Alya? His Classmates?

What about his father?! What about Natalie and Gorilla?! They were all here in Korea with him! He prays they're alright.

He would never forgive himself if they weren't.

But. That screen.

It said to live they would have to kill.

He didn't but that didn't mean others could do what he could.

He needed answers.

"Plagg Claws In."

Before him appeared an equally shocked/surprised Kwami.

Plagg, the Black Cat Kwami of Destruction, someone whose lifespan far exceeded humanity's time on this world, who was basically some kind of divinity on Earth or something.

"Plagg. Do you know what's going on? Please tell me you do?"

"I- I'm sorry Adrien but I think The Star Stream has targeted your world next."

"What's the Star Stream?"

"You won't like the answer if I tell you. You just need to know this. This isn't the first world to be destroyed by it. Right now, it should only be the major cities trapped behind domes. But eventually it will be more than that."

Adrien was already running towards where he last knew his Father would be before this all happened while talking to Plagg. Getting some Camembert ready so he'll be able to transform and move faster.

"Listen, Adrien. With my powers, I can destroy this dome, but that would release these Monsters unto the world. But as Chat Noir, the destruction is diminished enough that you'll be able to just make a hole and escape if you want to."

"Not until I get my Father... I need to get to M'lady, she'll be able to do something about this. She'll fix all this somehow."

Plagg winced.

"That...Might not be a good idea."

"Why?"

"Ladybug won't be able to do anything about this. She's just a mortal kid like you. Tikki and me might be able to with our full power, but that would broadcast where and who we are to the Dokkabi, Constellations, and Star Stream. And we're not actually the most free beings out there."

"So what?! Aren't you guys supposed to protect Earth no matter what?! What am I supposed to do?"

"I'm not saying we won't do it. I'm saying that as our holders you will absolutely be targeted for our Miraculous so they can gain control of us or destroy us. You have to get stronger to protect us when we do. I'm saying as a human your potential will be able to eventually make use of our powers even beyond what we can do on our own. But you're not there yet."

"How am I supposed to get that strong! Last I checked I can only use Cataclysm once!"

"That will disappear when the threshold is met as well. But more than that, you can take advantage of this situation to get stronger too. If you attract the attention of the Constellations watching this channel, the Star Stream may deem it fit to reestablish the connection you broke. You can then earn coins to improve your body beyond human limits."

"Okay, I get it. But first eat this camembert and transform me. I have to make sure my dad's okay!"

"Just one more thing Adrien. I'm sorry. I would love it if you could escape, but you'll need to go through a lot to get to where I need you to be."

"It's okay buddy, let's do this. Plagg, Claws Out!"

So far, just a Oneshot I decided to write. It may expand into a full story, but I've got a bunch of other stories I want to make progress in first that I haven't touched in awhile. I'm not exactly the best at keeping to a schedule or having responsibility. If I do go through with turning this into a full thing, I may rewrite this Chapter so that Plagg doesn't know about the Star System because they all come from the same level of existence as Kim Dokja where all this was just a webnovel.

Anyone is free to take the idea and run with it if they desire. They can even consult with me if they want.

I do also want to write a Danny Phantom x Omniscient Reader fanfiction as well, but I'm still figuring out details on that one, like if I'll have him be a threat to the system in the same way too. Or if I'll go the route of making the Infinite Realms a Pantheon of its own and Sponsoring him.

As of writing this I have only read the Manhua up to Chapter 180 (Caught up) and have no plans to go to the novel any time soon. So Novel Readers, please avoid any spoilers in the comments, and excuse any inaccuracies due to only having my limited knowledge of what's been shown in the Manhua. If they get bad enough, feel free to also just consider this an AU, for your own sanity.

Also, for those not interested in an open-ended oneshot, slight spoiler ahead: Gabriel Agreste is in fact alive, and so are Natalie and Gorilla. I will describe how so in the next chapter or the one after if that does happen. So not spoilers beyond that. (I do have an idea though, so it's not just me buying time to think of something.)
