I, Eterna

My body quivers with pain and exhaustion. I barely have enough power to take another step. Each agonizing limp is one closer to my target, and my grave. My vision is blurry, and the searing burns all over my body do very little to cushion my pain. Even now I feel wrong, as I recover much of the blood that was siphoned and torn from my body by that "World guardian". It pains me in whatever part of my soul that was spared from being torn apart by the vile Zarosian curses the World Guardian used against me to admit that I failed my Lord Zamorak.

In Penance, I will do what I must before I die. Blood and soot soak the remnants of the robes I once wore, my ritual dagger shattered, and my staff split. Yet I must at least succeed in this final action so that when My Lord Zamorak returns, there will be no foolish World Guardian to stop him again.

My vision is blurring even more, and the pain is becoming unbearable. The fool left me for dead, eager to fight my Lord and use the powers of the dead god guthix to banish my Lord.

My breathing is getting harder to control, and my left leg is giving out on me. The tiny amount of magical power that i have left must not be wasted. I stumble through the portal and fall directly on my face inside the massive barrier. I don't even have the luxury of burying my allies that lay scattered across the wilderness volcano. Zamorak in all his mighty wisdom and glory tries to convince the foolish Zarosian that his fight is pointless, as even in one hundred years the mortal's life will be no more. A minor defeat here is naut but a stone in the road.

His patience is beyond mine.

The fight shakes the entire mountain, as magical power from the Siphon clashes with the power of a God. The World Guardian is fast and powerful, My death will be proof of that, but it is not enough to topple My Lord's power. However, the Edicts of guthix aid the guardian in his battle. I cannot allow this to go on further. I Eterna will serve Zamorak with my last breath.

Dropping to one knee as my legs give out on me, I target the World Guardian with my mind and begin the motions of my last ritual. The booms and cracks of power send shockwaves throughout the enclosed barrier, the wind threatening to send me flying like a feather in the wind.

I begin to fade out of consciousness, but I struggle to stay awake for five more seconds.

My arms feel heavy, and my ritual draws to an end.

In one flash of demonic power, the World Guardian has been removed from the universe and sent beyond all we know. In exchange, my life is forfeit. My body slumps to the ground as my soul is claimed by my Lord.

I, Eterna have served my purpose.
