It was now the new year and the beginning of the new school year at Knowhere Elementary which made RJ excited as he got ready for school unaware his grandpa was feeling sad knowing that before summer break, his pre-school class would be graduating meaning next year in Fall, they'd be in kindergarten seeing him wiping tears away making the male-kit wonder why his grandpa was sad not understanding as he was a lil kit seeing his sibs were still asleep which relieved him as they were rambunctious even though his parents were teaching them to behave, wondering if they'd be in pre-school one day.
"It's grown up stuff kiddo, don't worry about it." Rocket said to him putting pancakes in front of hij seeing him digging in and drinking juice seeing Nebula hug him entering the kitchen hearing energetic giggles as the younger kits ran into the kitche making RJ grin as he was eating knowing his parents were lettingthe younger kits try daycare as their friends from playgroup were starting it, and because of this, Nebula and Rocket were encouraging their younger kits to learn life skills just like RJ at their age like getting dressed by themselves which Rocket Senior was impressed by knowing one day, they'd be in his pre-school class which made him feel better about RJ and his friends graduating from pre-school.
"Yep, they"re growing up poppa marshmallow, we should het going, we have things to do, you have a class to teach." Rocket told him making Nebula grin as they were leaving for the day but Nebula was herding the younger kits into the jeep which was their family's vehicke which Rocket had embiggened so everybody in the fami,y could fit and had space leaving the house hearing them excited, making her laugh that they were happy about going to daycare.
"Yes we know you're excited but let's calm down." she told them arriving at the daycare centre unbuckling them from their car seats as they followed her out of the jeep holding paws, because Rocket and Rocket Senior had taught them the buddy system which was how grocery shopping with them went well now, seeing them happy to see their friends from playgroup after Nebula nuzzled their snouts just like Rocket, telling them she and their dad would pick them up later seeing them hugging her legs before scampering off to play, wiping proud tears from her eyes getting back in the jeep driving back to the house, seeing Rocket back from the meeting asking how dropping the kits off at daycare went.
"Really good, they were fine with being dropped off and were playing with their friends." she told him.
Meanwhile, RJ was having fun at school playing with his friends thinking about why his grandpa marshmallow had been sad this morning and they understood as Rockai had heard his dad talking about graduation for their class hearing Floor asking the male tenuki-cub what that meant.
"It means we move to kindergarteb next year mate." Rockai told RJ stunning him and his friends but Rocket Senior had overheard what they'd been saying, knowing he had to explain to them stunning them but RJ was quiet as he had many questions decidihg to wait until they were at home which Rocket Senior noticed, guessing his grand-kit was sad but they could talk about it later.
"RJ you alright why sad." Floor asked him.
"Yeah, just sad that my grandpa marshmallow won't be ourteacher next year." he told her.
"Yeah we get it, plus he's fun but he's probabky sad too." Devil Junior told him.
