Right before Dragons Rising Part 2, I finished writing this. That ain't funny. The amount of things (especially leaks) that just prevented me from liking my drafts is insane. It isn't helping with the amount of schoolwork I have. Anyway, this will be super long so I'm just going to give a quick rundown of things to know. Love giving you guys homework.
Pretend everyone lost their Dragon cores to Imperiums since that's eventually going to happen. Let's just say they all go back to the monastery(w/ Cole and Jay) to prepare for battle except for Kai and Wyldfire because that would be way too chaotic. Jay still has amnesia. That's the whole point.
And I wouldn't be surprised if you skip through just to get to Jaya you're gonna have to get through around 3,000 words of drama.
Oh and super mega thanks to Piggy 8832. You're the main reason this one-shot is out! Well the only reason but still thanks for your support.

After a crazy adventure in the realm of Administration, instead of coming back with the dragon core, Arin, Zane, and Lloyd came back with bruises, headaches, and an amnesiac Jay!
"So how do you propose we tell Nya about Jay's…predicament?" Zane walked over to Lloyd who was flying the bounty.
"Um, that is a good question, Zane!" Lloyd said confidently. "I have absolutely no idea!" Lloyd looked around his surroundings and spoke quietly. "Nya is going to freak out and not in a good way! We absolutely cannot let her see Jay!"
"I think Nya will be fine if we tell her the truth?"
"Jay has amnesia! Imagine how we felt when we discovered it, how do you think NYA is going to react?" Lloyd said.
"Fair point, so what do we do with Jay?"
"The responsible thing! Hide him from Nya until we can get his memories back!" Lloyd said confidently
"Lloyd, that is a terrible idea."Zane sighed at his friend.
"Well, we don't have any other choice!" "The truth." "It's a white lie."
Lloyd didn't want to have to tell Nya the truth. They've all faced way too much already, and there was no need to add much more stress. He prayed that everything would all work out.

A blank wall. That's what blocked Jay's memories. He couldn't describe it but something was blocking his memories. Every time this kid tells him about his previous adventures, he feels like he's on the verge of remembering then something blocks him. Did he not want to remember his past? Why? He seemed to have a good time. Good friends, funny parents, and a lover. Jay's thoughts seemed to trail off until Arin seemed to finish his very long monologue of the ninja adventures.
"And during the merge, you and the other ninja were saving the people, and you were in a super cool mech while doing it," Arin concluded his ninja fan speech which snapped Jay back to reality.
"That was the mech I woke up in." Jay got up from his lying position to look at the boy. "And when I discovered I had no memories."
"Then it must have been right after the merge. What did you do after waking up?" Arin sat in the bed near him.
"I just kept walking until I found the Administration, and that's where I've been until you found me." Jay sighed. "So to recap I fought snakes, ghosts, a video game came to life, and many others."
"Yeah if you like the short version," Arin grumbled. "This stuff feels familiar, but nothing's coming back."
"Maybe your room back in the monastery will have stuff that'll jog your memory."
"I doubt it," Jay said depressed. "Have some hope," "Kinda hard to have hope when you have amnesia."
Arin tried to come up with something to say but he just stayed quiet.
"Monastery ahead!" Lloyd yelled across the bounty.
The group jumped from the bounty and walked towards the monastery when Lloyd stopped them.
"Okay here's what we're going to do. Me and Arin will go in first and scan the area. If Nya isn't there Zane and Jay make a break for Jay's room. Okay!" Lloyd said as if this was a full-on stealth mission.
"I still think this is unnecessary," Zane spoke up.
"Zane please!" Lloyd pleaded. "Mph"
Arin and Lloyd carefully and quietly made their way through the monastery, scouring for any signs of Nya.
Jay and Zane were just walking normally, not caring about the whole stealth mission.
Somehow, in some way, Nya was nowhere to be found so they arrived in Jay's room with no problem.
"Jay, you stay here while we go check for the girls," Lloyd told him.
"Why can't I come?" "Because we can't let Nya see you!"
"Who's Nya? Why can't she see me?"
"We'll explain everything later, just stay here quietly and we'll be right back!" Lloyd and others leave Jay in the room to figure out how to keep Nya away.

Nya and Sora were working on a few things downstairs to prepare for an inevitable battle with Imperium. Nya knew they would be quickly destroyed like all other vehicles and mechs in the past but she didn't tell Sora that.
Sora was focused on her mech because Riyu kept distracting her with something earlier. However, what got her attention was a light shining in her eye.
She saw Arin and Lloyd using her Zane as a mirror to reflect light, but why all the effort?
She saw them motion for her to come over but clearly didn't want Nya to come over as well. Weird right?
"Hey, Nya, I'm going to go to the bathroom! I'll be right back!" Sora quickly hustled away. Nya just shrugged it off and went back to work.
"Zane go help Nya and make sure she stays downstairs."
"I'm starting to feel the scapegoat of the group." Zane sighed yet again.
In the elevator.
"Why are you guys acting so weird?" Sora asked.
"Hello to you Sora! And please this is an emergency!" Arin said dramatically."What's the emergency?"
"We found Jay in Administration but he has amnesia so until we can find a way to get his memories back we're trying to keep him away from
Nya!" Lloyd explained the plan again, acting confident but Sora wasn't having it.
She took a minute to process what she had just told and when they finally reached the top she finally responded.
"Tell me why can't just tell Nya has amnesia?" Sora asked unamused. "Because it would break her heart if she knew Jay didn't remember!" Lloyd began.
"Imagine how terrible it feels Sora!" Arin finished.
The group finally arrived in front of Jay's room.
"I get it, so we're just going to keep Jay locked away for however long."
"Nope just until his memories come back!"
"That could never happen!" Sora remarked.
"Well, it has to happen!"

"Hey Zane, when did you get back?" Nya asked the clearly fidgety nindroid.
"Hello, Nya! I just returned with others right now." His voice was much more cold and monotone than it normally was.
"Are you doing okay Zane? You sound a bit weird."
"Not at all. I am completely Zane! I mean sane!" he clearly wasn't. "Zane! It's you!" yelled a voice.
Zane looked over to see the black ninja Cole, staring right at him. "Cole!" the two ran to each other and hugged each other. "It's good to see you, tin can!" "It is my friend."
"Lovely to see this reunion but I still need those materials, Cole," Nya said. "Yes, water lily." Cole sighed tired from hauling material back and forth for Nya's little project. "I shall help you!" Zane said eagerly.
"It's fine Zane, I can-" Cole was interrupted by Zane. "I insist, let's go!" and Zane dragged him off, away from Nya.
Nya was now even more confused. "If I didn't know any better I feel like everyone is trying to ditch me today." she eventually just shrugged it off and went back to work. She remembered she forgot to ask Cole and Zane to get her some extra tools, so she went off to get them herself, in the same direction Zane and Cole were going.
With Zane and Cole~
"Zane! Zane! ZANE!" Cole used his lava arm to stop Zane from dragging him. "Yes, Cole?" Zane was acting calmly. "Why are you dragging me?" "Ah well, ready to hear a story," Zane said like a teacher ready for storytime. "Fine."
Cole sat down on the floor, and Zane began telling him the tale of amnesia Jay and Lloyd's stupid plan.
Cole just groaned and reluctantly agreed to help. "How did we get roped in this?" Cole sighed. "I doubt Lloyd and the others can get Ja-AAAAAAAH!" Zane shrieked like no other. Nya had walked towards them which startled Zane in turn startled Cole who jumped from his place on the ground.
"Oh hi, Nya!" Cole said as calmly as he could. Inside he was a volcano ready to explode with fear. "You didn't hear anything we said, did you?" "No, but I am curious as to why you couldn't ask to take a break." "Oh um yeah totally taking a break, right Zane!" "Yes, indeed."
Nya just walked over to get her extra set of tools. She left quietly not wanting to know whatever they were plotting. "That was close." Cole just fell onto the floor.

"Nothing's coming back," Jay said this time lying in his bed in the monastery. "See I told you! This is ridiculous." Sora said. "Okay, I'm starting to lose hope as well," Lloyd said. "We've tried everything! Photos, video games, and even Mister Cuddlystomp!"
"It's Cuddlywomp. That I can remember." Jay said not looking at them. "And the only thing he remembers is a stuffed toy!" Lloyd was losing his temper if you couldn't tell. "You know it may be best to get Nya here." Arin finally said. Lloyd motioned for them to come outside.
Outside in the hallway~
"I think I'm starting to see your point." Lloyd finally admitted. "However I still have one last idea before we give up also because if we tell the truth to Nya we're all as good as dead." "What?!" Sora shrieked.
"Yeah, this is Nya we're talking about if we tell her we found Jay with amnesia and didn't tell her we're as good as dead so we. So let's have one last gambit. We get Zane up here, and let him talk to JaAAAA!" Lloyd shrieked so loud, which startled everyone. "Would everyone stop yelling today? And why is everyone acting so weird today!'' Nya finally blew up. Zane and Cole finally came running after her looking quite disheveled. Lloyd gave them a look asking why Nya was here. From the looks of it, they couldn't keep her downstairs.
"Well, I'm waiting." Nya crossed her arms. "It's nothing Nya, you just keep managing to creep up on us. You know ninja skills." Lloyd said, begging the FSM to get him out of there. "I've been walking normally, and you're all ninja, and two trainees you should be able to hear me normally."
"That is a good point. "
Inside Jay's room minutes earlier.
"It's Cuddlywomp. That I can remember." That was seriously all Jay remembered. He must have really loved that plushie. He even laughed at the thought. "You know it may be best to get Nya here." It's Nya again. Who was she? The others say she was the love of his life, but they haven't let him see her. Wouldn't it be best to see her as she was "the love of his life." It must have been nice having someone like her. Wasn't it? Did this have something to do with his memories? Did something bad happen before the merge?
The possibilities filled Jay's mind as the other left the room. What was Jay supposed to do now? Run away? Hide? Change his name to Yaj Reklaw! Jay calmed down for a moment and thought this was stupid. He would simply ask his friends to tell him about the Nya problem. Suddenly Jay heard a loud shriek which startled him. What the heck was going on? Jay slowly opened a tiny part of the door and looked outside.
" Would everyone stop yelling today? And why is everyone acting so weird today!" That voice?! It was the first thing that made Jay seem comfortable and safe, for the first time in a while. Who was it? "It's nothing Nya, you just keep managing to creep up on us. You know ninja skills." Oh, so that's Nya! No wonder she seemed familiar. She looks so cool and adorable when she's angry…. Was Jay falling in love at first sight? It seemed more painful than he imagined. Wait painful?
Present time~
Lloyd was still trying to convince Nya that everything was fine when he noticed a certain curly brown hair sticking out. When he made sure Nya wasn't looking at him. He kicked the top of Jay's head and closed the door. "What was that?" Nya looked at Lloyd. "It was nothing! Anyways Nya I need you to..help fix the gears in the training course! Yeah, those need to be checked." Lloyd prayed even harder this time.
"The gears under the training course? Are you serious?"
"Yes, now Arin and Sora take Nya and show her the training course!" he motioned for the two of them to get going.
The two students led Nya away as quickly as they could. "I'll be back Lloyd and I expect a better answer!" Nya's last words filled everyone with terror.
"And she's gone," Cole said.
"Cole! You're back!"
"Hi Lloyd! I would be really happy to see you if we weren't dealing with an amnesiac Jay!"
"Yeah well since you're here I'm hoping you can try something to jog Jay's memories. Since he's your best friend and all."
"I'll try but what are we telling Nya?"
"I assume Lloyd isn't too concerned about the consequences of upsetting Nya."
"Yes, I am Zane! Please don't let me deal with this alone!"
"Come on Zane be the brains and help me with Jay."
"Can I come out now!" Jay said, opening the door ever so slightly.
"Yeah sorry Jay for kicking you. I just couldn't let Nya see you."
"Yeah, sure."
"Hey Jay, nice to see you."
"And you are?"
"Your best friend."
"Oh, nice to you too I guess."
"Okay this is worse than I thought," he whispered to the others.
"Okay, you guys get to work while I find some ninja chips."
Outside~
"So what's wrong with the training course?" Nya asked in disbelief. "Um, the gears need to be checked again." Sora lied. "Didn't we already fix the gears?" Arin whispered to Sora. "Do you know the point of lie Arin!" Sora nudged him.
Nya went down to check the gears but everything seemed mostly fine except for some rust, so she jumped back up and decided to torture some kids.
"Hey kids, what is Lloyd hiding from me?" Nya asked. Arin and Sora panicked. "What do you mean?" Sora asked nervously. "I mean why is everyone so afraid of me?"
"Nah, that's ridiculous, no one's afraid of you." Arin laughed. "And we're teenagers, that should be obvious." Nya walked towards them, held both of them close, and whispered. "May I please go back into the monastery?" "NO!'' They both immediately regretted their decision.
In Jay's room~
"So we fought over Nya, and ended up fighting a big battle in a tournament ?" Jay is unsure.
"Well, I was more of an innocent victim, while you attacked me and called me names." Cole laughed
"I find that hard to believe."
"It's mostly true. I was there from start to finish and the only inaccurate thing is that Cole called you names as well." Zane said.
"I call it self-defense anyway, how are you feeling Jay?" Cole checked on his friend. A lot was just said and he hoped he was processing it well. He wasn't in the mood to lose his best friend.
"Let's see how I am feeling. I feel quite terrible."
"Hmm, that was unexpected?" Cole said.
"What's displeasing you, Jay?" Zane scanned just to be safe. His heart rate was increasing rapidly.
"Every time I try to remember something it hurts. I don't how and I don't know why but you're all keeping something from me!" Jay was losing it now.
"Jay I can assure you we are not keeping anything from you." Zane tried to convince him.
"Yeah, buddy we've told you everything we could think of!"
"That's it." Jay's hands began to spark. "Move out of my way!"
Zane and Cole didn't move, not wanting to accidentally attack Jay. "Jay please put away your lightning." Zane attempted to calm him down. "We don't want to h-Gaah '' Jay still shocked them anyway, and this was a very powerful one which caused them to be paralyzed.
"I just want to remember," Jay said quietly, as he teared up running away from the room.
Outside (you're almost there!)
"Seriously? You couldn't think of any other way to escape." Nya said innocently. "Says you! Can't you untie us!" Sora pleaded.
In a surprisingly short fight, Nya ended up tying up Arin and Sora to a pole. It was really cruel but she didn't want them running to Lloyd.
"Sorry but unless you tell me the truth, you're going to be stuck like that for a while."
"Nya!"
"Okay, I'm going into the monastery whether you like it or not.
Nya triumphantly walked to the door, hoping everyone had a good excuse for their antics, little did she know what was right behind the door. As she opened the door she bumped into someone.
"Scuse me," said a tearful Jay, nearly bumping into her. He ran past Sora and Arin who were just groaning in shame at this point.
"Um, Jay?" Nya asked quietly. Jay stopped and turned to look at her. She looked quite surprised.
"Oh hello." he cringed. "Jay!" Nya ran towards him and gave him a bone-crushing hug, which nearly caused him to fall. Nya was so happy. Was this what everyone was trying to keep from her? But why were they so adamant about keeping them apart? Wait, why wasn't Jay hugging her back?
"Um, miss. I should probably tell you now that I have amnesia, and you're probably really upset right now, please don't take it out on me." Jay said quickly.
"What?" Nya said let him go.
"He has amnesia and doesn't remember anyone or anything, except his stuffed animal."
"Tmi Arin. We're innocent bystanders, Nya."
"You have amnesia Jay?" Nya took a step back and shook her head. "You don't remember me?"
"I...no I don't, but I do feel comfortable around you. You seem nice."
Breathe Nya. You can deal with this. Hopefully.
"Jay!" "Yes!" "Come with me!" "Yes!" and the two took off elsewhere.
"Aww, Jaya!" Arin
"What?"
"Come on, Jay plus Nya equals Jaya!"
"Arin, I would be happy if I wasn't tied up to the pole with you."
"Rude."
"Rawr Rawr" cried Riyu coming outside. "Ugh, Riyu, where have you been all this time!"
"He's been running errands with me er what happened to the two of you." Mr Frohicky said walking in.
"It's a long story!"

"Um, miss?" Jay nervously let go of Nya's hand as they stopped at one of the steps.
"It's Nya not Miss, or whatever you want to call me."
"You remind me of a flower. A blossom." "Well that's
a new one Sparky."
"Heh, I like that." Jay looked up at the stars in the sky. They looked much brighter than he was alone a while ago. "I still can't remember you." He looked back at Nya.
"What did the other tell you?" Nya asked, already knowing what he was going to say. "A lot of things. Snakes, ghosts, me trying to jumpstart an entire sub, and nearly drowning and electrocuting myself at the same time." Jay laughed at the last one but stopped when he saw Nya's face.
"LLOYD GARMADON!!!" so she didn't know everything they told him. "Did you not know?"
"No, I did not." She gave him a cold look." I am not letting you go near another battery for a long while."
"You seem a bit overprotective."
" I just don't like seeing you get hurt, Jay. We're ninjas so getting hurt is part of our job but…"
"Do I get hurt often?" " You have amnesia." "That could be from mental pain." "Perhaps"
"What have I-we gone through in the past?" He gave Nya an earnest look. Nya wanted to tell him everything but those painful memories were a lot to handle.
"I think the place to start would be Nadakhan." her voice trailed off. "Why there?" "Because it's the most painful and important memory we have together."
"Couldn't we start on a more positive note? Let's say I don't know what's your favorite color?" Jay tried to think of something but Nya ended up laughing. Jay thought her laugh was adorable but was wondering why that was so funny.
"You asked me that question the first time we met, technically Zane did. Cole hit you a bit too hard."
"See happy memories! Come on please." Jay pleaded with his infamous puppy dog eyes.
"Trust me, you need to know." Nya held his hand and squeezed it gently. He gave her a nod.
"Long story short we fought Nadakhan the djinn, he captured all our friends, tortured you, captured me, and married me, Nadakhan became all-powerful, then he got his by Tiger's Widow venom, which was supposed to temporarily stop him while you made your final wish, but I also got by the Tiger's widow venom which was fatal to me, and I ended up dying in your arms. So you used your wish to travel back into time, Nadakhan's teapot was never found, and we became a couple and again we lived happily ever after until our next battle. The End" Nya somehow managed to recap everything like it was no big, however that was very painful. 3..2..1.
"You died!" "Yes, among other things." "How are you so calm? Jay yelled. At least he felt something other than crippling depression. " "Because I have you comforting me." Nya smiled while Jay turned red.
"Who taught you to say one-liners like that? "You did." Jay continued." What else happened?"
"Did the others tell you about me turning into the sea?" "What?" " I became the living embodiment of the sea." "Women, how are you still alive?" "How I miss you spazzing out."
"Nya."
"You were drowning, and the city was flooded by a giant sea serpent, so I had no choice but to merge with the sea. After the battle, I left you for an entire year. Well because the sea was calling to me in a mystical way, it's hard to explain."
"Hey, Nya?" "Mhm" "What am I to you?"
"You're my Yin."
"What?"
"And I'm your Yang!"
"My what?"
"It means we belong together!"'
"Oh, that's still confusing."
Nya takes out the medallion she was keeping in her pocket, just for this moment. "Here this belongs to you." She gives him his half of the medallion.
"This belongs to me?" Jay looked at it confused. "Yes, you gave me my half, the day you asked me to be you, Yang."
When Jay took his part of the medallion he remembered the time with Nadakhan.
"Wish it all to go away,"
He remembered the time Nya left for the sea.
"I am Nya, I am the sea. We are one,"
Then he finally remembered the time he asked Nya to his Yang.
"Nya, you make me so happy every day when we're not together I miss you so much it feels like part of me is missing. Will you be my Yang?" (I memorized it of course)
"I missed you, Jay," Nya said, giving him another hug, not as bone-crushing as the last.
"Nya, I'm so sorry. It seems like nothing we do will ever keep us together." Jay held Nya close.
"Jay, did you finally remember?" she looked up into his eyes. "Yeah, I guess I needed to remember the painful memories before I could remember all the good ones."
"That's slightly concerning."
Jay kissed the top of her head. "I was afraid of losing you again, and when the merge came I was in a panic. Not knowing if you were alive or not and not seeing you for so long, hurt, and I think the depression from earlier came back even stronger. I guess that's when I lost my memory."
"So what do we do now?"
"I guess we just keep going. I still think eloping is a good idea." Jay suggested.
"Jay," Nya sighed. "You're definitely thinking about it."
"Someday, Jay, someday." Nya lit up.
"That's not a no!" Jay smiled.
Someday she said. Nya may be stubborn, but Jay is still going to try to convince her when they aren't facing another end of the World situation. It's never going to happen, is it? They're going to be stuck as ninja for a long while.

"See I told you. We just needed Nya to take care of everything." Sora said quietly. All 4 of them were spying on Jaya.
"Hey guys we can't find Jay!" Lloyd yelled running outside.
"Shhhhh, we're watching Jaya." hushed Arin. Lloyd saw Jay and Nya talking and hid with the others. "I was right."
"Don't rub it in Sora."Lloyd groaned.
"Oh and Nya's upset with you so you better start running."
"Why?" "Because Nya's staring right at you and she looks upset." Sora pointed at Nya who was fuming.
"Lloyd!" yelled Nya. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Lloyd ran as fast as he could back into the monastery.
"Couldn't we keep the romantic mood going for at least 5 more minutes?" Jay joked.
"Your sense of humor is coming back."
"Never lost it." "You were depressed the entire ride, back to the monastery."
"Tell me why there are 2 kids, a cute baby dragon, and are you a frog man- hanging out in the monastery?"
"Hello there!" Mr Frohicky waived.
As usual, Jay and Nya's romantic time was interrupted yet again. Jay was seriously debating the eloping thing with Nya. The one time Ninja never Quit was biting them in the butt. As for now until the moments before their next battle with Imperium, Jay and Nya could enjoy some quality time. That is until Wyldifre and Kai come barging in. Just another day in Ninjago.
Oh right, Jay apologized to Cole and Zane for zapping them. They were stuck in the med bay for 2 days after that. It seems the thing Jay thought they were hiding was just his memories of Nadakhan which they obviously didn't know about so that was all Jay's paranoia.

It shouldn't haven't taken me two months but here we are. Plus Arin and Sora would definitely ship Jaya.

While writing I was wondering how did Zane got to the Administration realm when he was still in the monastery, that's when I remembered that he was tinkering with the portal under the monastery so assuming he got the portal working he somehow ended up what maybe could be an administration monastery or portal gate thing. Boom big brain moment! Imagine that happens, I'll be jumping up and down in joy. Heck I'll be jumping up and down in joy when I see Jaya.
