To the Victor Goes the Spoils

Above the skies of the Tanzawa mountains, the four figures continue their battle…

"Haaaaah!" Both Mayucchi and I go in to attack Momoyo from both sides. Both of us slashing at insane speeds.

"I can see you both!" Momoyo blocks both of us, stopping our blades dead.

"You saw through both of us?!" Mayucchi was stunned.

Ageha took the chance not wanting Momoyo to counter, "But I won't let you counterattack! Ryaaa!" Her attack threw off Momoyo.

"Hah! Ageha-san, that was tasteless interference!" But without that interference both Mayucchi and I would've been in trouble without our weapons.

"Thanks for the save Ageha-san!" I thanked her.

"You saved me as well." Mayucchi returns the favor.

Ageha chuckles, "I remember you losing to that once before. Both of you fight to your fullest with all your might! It'll be even close but it's the only slimmest chance we have!"

"Okay!" Both me and Mayucchi respond in unison. Just in that little exchange I can feel my blood boiling, my heart thumping…

And once again the four shadows about Tanzawa clash at lightning speed as we all trade blow for blow with Momoyo. We climb higher and higher.

"Seyaaaa!/Toryah!" Both Mayucchi and I attack again at the same time and for a moment Momoyo dodges them by a hair's breadth.

"…!? Those attacks were so close…" Momoyo commented. She never knew Yukie could be this strong… and to see her little protégé now trading blows evenly with her… and even though she didn't show it in the heat of battle…

She was proud of the man she loved…

"You're both getting me excited, Mayumayu, Naga!" Momoyo said excitedly.

Ageha once again used the chance to counterattack, "Kuki Family Finishing Ultimate: Heaven Blast of the Dragon!"

"Whoa! Your skills haven't dulled one bit at all Ageha-san!" Momoyo said as she blocked the fierce strike.

"It's because I haven't stopped training!" Ageha replied.

"But I see your move now! Naga, get out of the way!" And just like that she replied kicking me at a near godlike speed of her own, barely able to didge it but it forced me to disengage from the battle.

And with that same demon-like ability, she then instantly grabbed both Ageha and Yukie seeing through their attacks, "Hahaha! Got you two!"

"Gwah!"

"Fwah!"

Both of them are shocked, as Ageha is grabbed by Momoyo's right and Yukie with her left, "Right arm- Kawakami Style: Roast Meat!" She twisted her right as her aura spewed crimson flames at Ageha.

"Left arm- Kawakami Style: Snowman!" And with her left her aura as a sheet of freezing cold was sent at Yukie.

"Ngh… such power…" Ageha struggled.

"Nhh… so strong…" Yukie did the same.

"Hahaha! Time to fall both of you!" But then… "?!..."

Just then she recognized two signatures; one of them was Nagamasa, but the other was a extraordinary presence she let go of her targets and reassumed her fighting stance. But in the process both Yukie and Ageha fell.

"I heard one of you kids was getting full of herself! Kid, help me out!" Otome Kurogane, one of the Big Four that Momoyo had not fought, a girl well-known at her own school. But she had been the second presence that had leapt from that helicopter at the beginning.

"Hahahaha! I'd been waiting for something like this!" A new challenge only got Momoyo's blood boiling more.

"Here I come Momoyo! Azai-Style Ultimate: Triple-Step Obliteration!" As she carried a broad grin on her lips as she met both of us with a cascade of punches I returned the favor with my own cascade of slashes. As all our attacks clashed in mid-air all with the power to kill…

"Geh! Such power… but let me show you the weight of my techniques borne of experience!" Otome returned the favor as well, but those were just a feint. "Now, kid!"

"Azai Style: Wind Slasher!" With three direct hits, as well as a series of charged punches from Otome we drilled at Momoyo. This time it was Momoyo's turn to be blasted to the earth.

"Haaaaah!" The both of us cascaded down towards her. Otome as if wrapped in an aura of hellfire, and my own body coated in lightning as my sword was pointed at the sky.

"Kawakami Style: Starkiller!" Hearing of that ultimate attack's name I used my speed and grabbed Otome getting her out of the way sending both of us into the Earth with me cushioning our fall.

That energy blast piercing the atmosphere. Later on a NASA satellite would pick up the disturbance but after a quick study they quickly shrugged it off as: "Oh, it was just Momoyo.'

"You okay, senpai!?" I asked Otome.

"Yeah, thanks for the quick sve kid! That much raw power… it's absurd!" She groaned out. Despite out quick attempt to escape, I had to admit the attack couldn't be escaped fully and so we'd been singed by it slightly.

But we couldn't rest on our laurels, as our close-quarters melee with Momoyo resumed as she came charging at us, "Ohhhhh!" But this time sadly she blocked or dodged every slash or punch we threw at her.

"Got you both!" And so Momoyo struck in-between our guard almost as if vengeance for our earlier assault blowing both of us away, but we were caught by Ageha this time.

"I will rejoin the fight!" Yukie rebounded and launched herself at Momoyo. She attacked her with yet another quick slash when she was forced to recover from her previous attack.

But once more, Momoyo dodged by a hair, "Oh! Mayumayu, you really can fight!"

Yukie readied herself again, "I will fight you with all my strength!"

"Yeah, bring it! This is fun!" Momoyo for the first time was facing opponents that didn't end in seconds, she finally felt alive. But now on the back foot, Momoyo was forced to give ground to Yukie's new offensive.

Ageha checked on both us during that, "Are you both alright?"

"Yeah, thanks Ageha-san." I replied.

"Gh… I found what I must teach her." Otome groaned out as she recovered.

"Indeed. It seems all of us are of the same mind. Momoyo is strong. Which is precisely why…" I finished Ageha's thought.

"She needs to learn the sting of defeat, right?" I reply with a smile.

"I believe that's the one last gift we can impart onto her, and besides… young Azai here has his own mission after all." Ageha smiles at me.

"Can we not do this right now?" I reply bashfully.

"Hoho? You have feelings for that beast of a woman? I wish you luck kid." Otome catches on as she sees my blushing face. I shake my head clearing my thoughts.

With that the three of us charge back in to help Yukie. Five of the strongest people once again battle it out in the sky.

All of the Big Four were here, but to see a man like Nagamasa holding his own among the best of the best? This was breaking barriers in it's own way as news cameras caught what they could of the epic duel.

For the longest time, Japan had been dominated by the ideal of 'Samurai Girls' and so this young man and his one mission drove him to break that barrier and show that once and for all. Both women AND men had what it took to be strong samurai!

As the battle raged on, energy blasts that would streak were dissipated by Tesshin or Lu-sensei in order to lessen the damage and to ensure no one was hurt.

"Goodness, I never would've thought all four of them would assemble in one place like this. And for young Nagamasa to be among them… Hehe, I knew he had the potential." Tesshin chuckled to himself seeing the progress of the boy he'd taken in only months ago.

"This is truly quite the sight indeed. And for young Azai to have come this far as you say is an astonishment." Lu admitted as well.

"It is a duel most befitting of a Kawakami War's climax." Tesshin said.

"However, it seems Momoyo is enjoying herself and if I could say it seems before this battle she had something on her mind. But now she seems almost at peace." Lu voiced.

"Yes." Tesshin agreed.

"Like a young girl at play." Lu said.

"A rival can be a blessing, yes. But a maiden in love is just as strong. I cannot cheer for you my boy but go forth and teach my granddaughter defeat!" Tesshin silently cheered on his pupil.

Below, some observed the fight seeing things as if they were passing fireworks and silhouettes passing them by.

"I knew ladies these days could be terrifyingly strong, to be sure… but to see Nagamasa-san up there equally as strong. It is a striking battle indeed." Touma commented as he and Koyuki watched from the 2-S HQ.

Five champions continue their clash in the sky above—

"Haah! Kuki Raijin Adamatine Fist!"

"Forbidden Strike: Fuji Smasher!" Both Momoyo and Ageha's fists collide in a power struggle, but Momoyo overpowers her.

"Seyaaah!/Haaah!" But mine and Yukie's attack cancelled out some of Momoyo's power from the shockwave of them. Now both of them were equal.

"Mayumayu, Naga! You really know how to get in the way!" With that Momoyo turned her attention to both of us. "I'll blow you both away! Kawakami Style: Killer Fireflies!"

"I can cut through you ki bullets!"

"Azai-Style: Lighting Rod!" My sword Kuki Masamune was coated in lighting as both me and Yukie cut Momoyo's energy bullets.

"Not bad! But those were just fakes!" How could we…!?

"Behind you Mayuzumi!" Ageha tried to warm Yukie, but it was too late as Momoyo slammed into her.

"I don't believe it! Aaah!" Momoyo knocked Yukie hard to the ground.

"Mngh… just as I feared now Mayuzumi's too slow now! Nagamasa, you might be the only one who can keep up with her!" Ageha's thoughts quickly assess the situation.

"Okay then, time to take out your general first!" Momoyo now seems keen on ending things.

"I won't let you! You have to beat us first!"

"She's right senpai! So long as I'm here you won't lay a finger on Rep!" Ageha and I confront Momoyo.

"Then I'll just make you both leave! Ohhhhh!" Once more, Momoyo unleashes a harsh barrage onto both of us, and even though she has two opponents she's unrelenting.

"Guh…! I can't block the barrage!" Ageha struggles.

"So much power!" I'm in the same boat.

"I said I would guard her and I cannot let you make me a liar!" As we fought, Otome cut in from the side.

"Tch! There's just one… wall… left… But it's thick!" And ow with Otome on defense, Momoyo knows she can't break through the rest of us.

"Everyone we have to attack her all at once! Do not hold back!" Ageha tries to rally us.

"I've figured out all your attacking patterns! Are you saying this knowing that, Kuki Ageha!?" Momoyo said defiantly.

Even so the four of us assault Momoyo relentlessly. But even with our coordinated assault she was able to defend and counter all of us.

"Kh… ugh…" Yukie seemed to be struggling due to the tackle she'd faced before.

"That's nothing! I see through you attacks now too! Nagamasa, with me!"

"Tch… I'm off-balance…!" But despite her strength, the only person so far she's been able to be effective against is Yukie due to her slower speed.

"If we're all equal when it's four on one, then…" Momoyo then decides to focus her attacks on Yukie now. "I merely need to take down one of you first!"

With Otome protecting Mayo from any of Momoyo's attacks she can't help Yukie, and even together with Ageha, me and her aren't enough to stop Momoyo.

"Let's play again, Mayumayu! Bye!" Momoyo circles around Yukie's guard and smashes her with a roundhouse kick.

"Uwaaaa!" Yukie screams as she plummets to the Earth.

"You all right, Mayucchi!?" Matsukaze, the ever faithful companion checks on her.

Back I the air, "Fufufu… There's the first one." Momoyo chuckles eliminating one fighter from the competition.

Damn it! Any wounds or fatigue she has is healed with that damn restoration technique of hers! This'll get us nowhere. And with only me and Ageha we can't stop her forever. Yamato, Chris, Capt… it really is all up to you.

But even so… I need to get in one good hit. One good hit to send her reeling! I might've promised the sky, but I'll at least go down swinging!

Down below Tesshin looks after Mayuzumi after her fall which she was able to break safely and is alright.

And as the three of us continue our battle in the sky…

Eventually as our battle rages on, Momoyo's fist lands on Ageha but she twists her body to ward off the impact.

"Another one!" Momoyo attacks with a stronger punch.

"I've been waiting for a big swing!" Ageha lands the counter she's been waiting for.

"Guh…!" Her fist lands into Momoyo's stomach, but then finds her fist stuck. "Eh… it's stuck?!"

"I got you Ageha-san…" Momoyo finally catches her former rival. Wait this technique!

"Nagamasa! Get out of here!" She warns me and I take her warning seriously heading for the ground even though I hate having to abandon her like this.

"Kawakami Style: Human Bomb!" Momoyo gathers spiritual energy and then "explodes" like a bomb of concentrated Ki energy. And of course despite the damage, her instant recovery undid all of what her suicide move would do.

Ageha fell to the ground having taken the epicenter of the blast, "Guh… You used a suicide move like nothing." And so she plummeted down to the Earth leaving only me and Momoyo as the only combatants as Otome was still watching Mayo.

"Now Naga… it's just you and me left!" Momoyo set her sights on me. "I'll admit you held your own against one of the strongest, but this is where it ends!"

"Not until I've dropped out cold!" I wasn't going to stop here… just one hit!

"Haaaah!" Momoyo charged in at me, her usual cascade of strong punches and kicks, still worn out from our previous bouts I retreated, but then I lost my footing.

"Damn…!"

"Your mine!" She came in to finish me off with a straight punch. When suddenly…

BOOM!

A "cannonball" landed in between us and stopped Momoyo dead in her tracks. Thanks Homura!

A ways away, Homura had been watching the battle unfold, "You got to beat her Naga, you can do it!"

I can't let it end like this!

"Haah!" I threw my sword directly at Momoyo, I suppose the surprise from the explosion before rattled her as she brought up a barrier reflecting my sword as it flew and stabbed itself into the ground.

Just as I ran for it, a hooded figure emerged.

"What?! Where did he…!?" Momoyo hadn't expected another interloper. It was Oomura, he flew through the air and came right down upon Momoyo with one great kick.

"Haaaaagh!" With all his might he rammed into Momoyo's barrier and using the last of what strength he'd been able to concentrate he cracked it!

"Kuk… Huh!?" Then just as Oomura disappeared after that a white 'fog' descended upon Momoyo, but it wasn't just a fog, she then saw her barrier brittle away as even more cracks started to show.

"Tch… it's acid…" Momoyo deduced the attack.

Thanks Hachiya, Oomura! Now then to finish this! I had finally retrieved by sword and unable to move, Momoyo continued to use her barrier, but now with its defenses so weakened…

"Haaaaaah!" I pushed more and more, and even with her reserves of spiritual energy, the damage done to the barrier was extensive, and with every last bit of Ki I could I pushed little by little.

"Kuh… Naga… I can see that look in your eyes, that same look I always had in battle. It reminds me of when I last fought Ageha, she gave me everything she had right to the very end… I'm glad I meet you… I'm glad we could fight… and I'm glad…" But just as she was about to finish her thoughts.

"Seyaaaaa!" With one last push, her barrier shattered! And almost like as if fate and the heavens aligned at the same time on the central front…

Just as Kazama landed the final blow on Hideo and ended the War…

"This is over!" My fist connected with Momoyo's face once more as she reeled back from the attack, and unlike just any punch; this time Momoyo went flying as rocks were kicked up and a trail of her flying back was left just as Momoyo crashed into the side of the mountain.

CRASH!

On the central front, just as Kuki Hideo fell… everyone could feel the shockwaves just as the victory firework had been fired.

Most people still standing were in a clamor wondering what that was.

"Was that Nagamasa!?" Chris asked in suspense.

"Nagamasa… you did it?" Yamato said.

But getting out of the confusion, Kazama announces their victory, "I've beaten Kuki Hideo! 2-F wins!"

Everyone in Class F still up cheers as Kazama announces their victory, but everyone runs over to the sight of where that massive crashed happened.

As they reach the sight, they see a small crater where Momoyo is kneeling the damage she sustained having already healed.

Nagamasa approaches her slowly, he then points his sword at her.

"Kawakami Momoyo, do you concede?" Everyone watches as they now look to their senior.

She looks up at him and merely smiles as she sits down crossing her legs, "Yeah… this is… my loss… You win, Nagamasa."

And with that Nagamasa having sensed everyone arrive turned and raised his sword in the air, "Everyone we've beaten Kuki Hideo, but we've won a greater prize in the end! Everyone, we've beaten the Goddess of Martial Arts! Three cheers!"

Everyone cheers in order, "Ei, ei, oh! Ei, ei, oh! Ei, ei, oh!"

As they let out that cheer, Momoyo can't help but look at the man she loves as he stands proudly and boldly. His future as a warrior now can only rise…

Everyone runs up to Nagamasa as they celebrate alongside him, Momoyo joined them just as the others recovered.

Ageha appeared as she said, "Fuh… So we won. That was close… but that final blow of Nagamasa's was quite something…"

Tesshin and Lu also appear as well.

"Momoyo, it seems you lose completely this time." Lu comments. "Nagamasa and his compatriots were able to keep you busy as the enemy general was defeated, but even with that he defeated you in his own way as well."

"Hah… I lost." Momoyo said it clearly.

"This is what happens when you rely on brute force alone." Ageha said.

"Ageha-san…"

"You're strong, but you were too conceited. You're strong, but fragile." Otome added on.

"Hm…"

"Hehe, you should take time to train that conceited mind. If anything you should take a page from your protégé; Nagamasa was not just focused on the fighting, but on a clear goal of his own and he had those who he was counting on to guide him." Ageha explained. "But that might be enough from me, I need to scold my brother for losing."

"Train my mind huh? And with Nagamasa…" Her face grew warm at the thought as she stared at the young samurai talking with everyone.

And with that Otome and Ageha take their leave.

"Nagamasa, when we heard big crash that we thought the worst!" Kazama congratulated me.

"You got guts kid. I knew there was something about you." Lisa had recovered from her bout with Margit earlier.

"Thank you Lisa-san, if not for you defeat Maru-san would've been a challenge." Chris thanked the German ninja.

"All in a day's work, besides now I can head back and tell the others I kind of beat her." Lisa smiled proudly.

"Nagamasa, you were amazing!" Mayo came up and patted me on the back.

Everyone was treating me like a hero…

"Besides we need you to help make the victory speech with Yamato, you should've seen him." Kazama tells me.

"If not for him we wouldn't have made the breakthrough we did." Chris tells me.

"I'm glad I put my trust in all of you then, and even though I couldn't live up to my own word…" I say a bit disappointed in myself, but everyone's smiles lifted my spirits.

"Besides we both you and Yamato in command, it was you two that really carried the battle." Mayo insisted. "So please I insist."

I merely smile as I slap my cheeks, and take Yamato by the shoulder, "Everyone, the embodiment of 2-S has fallen." I started us off. "And we couldn't have done it without the bravery and acuity shown by everyone who took up our cause! Now again, raise a cry!"

And in that everyone cheered as they raised their fist or weapon in the air. Our cheers echoed throughout the battlefield, and so ended the Kawakami War…

And for the rest of the day everyone rested as the monks of Kawakami temple looked after those who had been hurt and for 2-F we were having a victory barbeque.

With a bulletin board showing everyone's performance in the Kawakami war. Gakuto eventually was able to recover and his leg was better but he was now upset that no one wanted to acknowledge his brave feat of holding off Fushikawa's troops.

And just as before many of the girls in the group were admiring Kazama for his heroic and brave actions.

"Mayucchi, I had no idea you were so powerful." Kazuko praised the freshman.

"Stronger than I, even. That is incredible." Chris praised Yukie too.

"Oh no, no, no. It took everything I had to keep up with the others, besides if anything Nagamasa-san should be the one you should be impressed by." Mayucchi said.

"She's right you know, seeing you fighting Onee-sama evenly up there was amazing!" Kazuko said as she turned to me.

"You're a crazy man for going at her like that, you've got my respect as a man!" Kazam joined in.

"N-no… it wasn't anything. Like with Mayucchi, I was really running off of adrenaline." I saw with a blush embarrassed.

"When you had your sword out Nagamasa, you're almost like Mayucchi, a completely different person." Mayo said.

"Yeah, and if anyone's to be praised the most, I think we ought to give it to Nagamasa. Your actions in the east really cleared up everyone to do their jobs properly for the rest of the battle." Yamato praised me now.

"Guys really it's nothing that impressive." But even so our fun little victory feast continued on. But I slipped away as everyone continued to party.

There was still something I had to do today. Heading a bit further down I found the person, or rather woman I had been looking for.

"Hah…" I heard Momoyo sigh as she was sitting in a forest clearing all by herself.

"So this is where you were?" I said to her as I joined her.

"Hey, Nagamasa…" She replied.

"You know we keep having moments like this. Just sitting somewhere enjoying nature, but…" I got up and looked down at her with a smirk.

"But for this once, I'm gonna enjoy looking down on you." That got her attention.

"Gh…!? No one like's a protégé who's full of himself you know!?" But instead of her usual tantrum, her blushing face only accentuated the stomping she did.

"I did this to prove to you that I am your equal and as a man." I told her.

"Yeah, I heard about what you did during the battle, fighting all those people by yourself. What do you think you are some kind of Yukimura Sanada?" She teased me.

"But you promised to beat me, and even though it wasn't in battle… you still did in the end. Seriously, you really are… full yourself. Not bad, Naga… you really are a man. That is… is what I would say." Huh?

"The truth is… I already thought of you as a man before this." She told me.

"W-what do you mean?" I asked her.

"During the trip to Okinawa… I finally realized after you told me so honestly how you felt about me, even though I'm a battle freak… that you loved me no matter what. Seeing you being so honest… I…" Wait, wait… where is this coming from?

"I couldn't help it and… Nah, even before that I felt something after our date in Nanahama, how it felt being with you, it felt… natural. For the first time… I wonder if that's what love felt like."

"…!" I was… shocked… No, if anything that was an understatement. I could feel my face getting redder, but despite my best efforts I could barely contain myself.

But I suppose at this point, this is the perfect time to do that given the mood, "Oh yeah, I guess I should tell you first."

"Hmm?" Momoyo looked confused for a second.

"My first gift was having a good fight with you and the others. Happy Birthday, Momoyo." I tell her.

"Naga…" She smiled softly.

"What with all the fighting all I got caught up in the moment, but I couldn't forget. After Kazuko reminded me, I wanted to make sure you had the time of your life. Of course, Yamato and the others helped along the way." I told her.

"Wow, you really thought it through huh?" Momoyo seemed genuinely surprised.

"Yeah, but now that you're brooding in defeat, I wanted to give you something else." I reached into my back pocket and pulled out a case.

"Hmm, let me see it." She took the box and opened it. It was a ring with four small green gems in the center.

"Whoa, a ring…" She was surprised to say the least.

"Back when we were at one of those shops in Nanahama again, I remembered what the clerk and you were talking about so I went back a few days later to have it custom ordered to fit you." I told her.

"But to custom-make it… that must've been expensive." Momoyo points out.

"Like I always said before, you're worth every bit of my heart Momoyo. Always… and forever." I confess.

"Mmm…. Mmmmmh… you can't get all mushy like that on me!" She stomped about, but the smile on her face said otherwise.

"I'd been setting aside money to pay for it from some of the odd jobs and trading I'd been doing." Meanwhile the others noticing my absence were coming to look for us.

Eventually they came upon the both of us, when Miyako and Yamato spotted us.

"Oh, they're over here everyone." Yamato said.

"Oh, don't they seem kind of…" Kazuko seemed to have noticed the mood we were in.

"Here, I'll put it on you…" Taking her left hand, I slowly slipped it onto her finger. "Yep, it fits perfectly."

"Wow… This is the first time anyone's gotten me something girly like this." She told me.

"Oh please, you're your own person. I fell in love with you Momoyo Kawakami, and I wouldn't have it any other way." I told her.

And for the first time, I saw her cute face as she smiled softly at me, "Mmm… why're you so good at this sweet talk?"

She then started to fidget a bit, "How do I saw this… I thought I was ready… but even still…"

"Thank you… Naga. I'll treasure it forever, and… I love you." She confessed to me as I felt her hug me tenderly, for the first time her arms feel so caring.

I returned the gesture and put my arms around her. Safe to say everyone was shocked.

"Yay! Yay! Congrats, Onee-sama!" Kazuko was happy to see her sister happy.

"Mmm… Momo-senpai deserves such happiness." Chris nodded as she smiled at the sight.

"Momo-senpai looks so calm with such a look… I'm quite surprised still really." Mayucchi said with a smile.

"Mmm… even though I've been defeated. I'll still celebrate their love." Miyako was content.

The guys all seemed happy, congratulating Nagamasa, but in that moment…

"Thump…" The heart of Kazama Shouichi beat differently.

"C-Capt!?" Moro was surprised by Kazama's reply.

"Huh? What did that mean? What did you say!?" Mayucchi was just as surprised.

"That was… the sound of my heart beating fast." Kazama replied.

"Mnn… Capt… it seems like you don't get the mood right now." Kazuko was now mad.

"Even so, it feels like my chest has been snapped open. I had no idea that Momo-senpai could look so cute like that." Kazama ignored Kazuko's threatening aura much to her shock.

"Wait… what are are you saying? Where is this is coming from?" Moro asked again.

But Kazam instead focused on looking at Momoyo, "She's so… cute. Mm, what is this feeling I have welling inside me?!"

"Has Capt… finally awoken sexually?!" Gakuto realized.

Despite the excitement of the Kawakami War, life went on. And today was the start of the new semester.

But even so… no one had the energy after the War to really do anything. Not to mention the tons of people in the hospital. So safe to say there were a ton of excused absences.

But after school some of us were at the secret base.

"Anyways, we'll be having shortened classes all week because of the war." Moro explained.

"Yep, apparently I heard all this week it's nothing but homeroom and study hall, of course with a lunch period and after that, school's out. Weird way to start another semester, but I don't blame them." I reply.

"Long live the Kawakami War. Now we the relatively uninjured and survivors have a week of heaven to ourselves." Gakuto seemed happy.

"Well seems everyone's good and healed up expect maybe you Yamato, I heard you took quite a beating leading a suicide attack getting to Kuki." I said.

"Yeah, I am hurting, but I'll be good by the end of the week." Yamato replied.

And to my eternal delight after our little intimate display in the forest yesterday, I haven't felt a threatening aura from Capt since then. I guess seeing the woman he liked kiss another man and confess was enough to dampen his spirits.

"Thanks guys… but to be honest. The one thing I was mostly scared of wasn't rejection, but… you Yamato." I told the Tactician.

"Me? Why?" He asked.

"Well like I said before, I thought of all people you'd be the one to have feelings for her. When I told you guys the first time at the Temple, I thought you'd freak out." I finally told him.

"Dude, do you think I'm that thin-skinned? It was obvious from how you were acting you truly loved her and the fact you'd already confessed all on your own, that proved to me in any case that I would've been beat." Yamato stated.

"So… no hard feelings?" I ask him.

"None at all." He answered. Well that was a load off my shoulders.

For the rest of the night it was things as usual, we all talked and played for the rest of the night. Eventually, Kazuko, Momoyo and I headed back for the Temple like always.

This time however with me and Momoyo holding hands all the way back.

"But still, when the monks found out all of them were in shock. To see the Goddess of Martial Arts like Onee-sama in love was something." Kazuko said.

"Yeah, I bet. For years all they saw was a girl who could only think of fighting. But now…" I playfully nuzzled at Momoyo.

Some things had finally returned back to normal as students returned to Kawakami Academy.

But to saw it was all normal would be an understatement, most of the student body was in shock—

The news had already spread far and wide – Momoyo, THE Momoyo Kawakami, the Goddess of Martial Arts – had a boyfriend!

And that boy of all people was the transfer student and her protégé Azai Nagamasa. Even while in the classroom, I could feel the stares of everyone outside who was checking me out.

"Hah… I knew this would be gossip news central, but still this is so dumb…" It was more annoying then anything else. I knew this would happen, but still…

And even though I'd defeated many of them during the Kawakami War many of her female groupies looked at me with even more scorn it felt like.

Then I heard Momo's ringtone, her message said; 'Sneak up to the rooftop.'

And I did so, with Momoyo up there waiting for me, "Man, I had no idea the whole school would be in an uproar over this. All this just because I feel in love? Sheesh, aren't I famous." She said it more like a factual statement.

"For me it's either jealousy, rage, respect or envy." I replied.

"Wait, why would they respect you?" She asked.

"Because to any outsider, you're a god." I told her.
