The redhead man is wearing this brown chestnut denim jacket which features a button-front design, complete with a classic collared neckline for a timeless look. Inside, it boasts a cozy Sherpa lining to keep him warm during the chilly days. The jacket includes dual chest patch pockets and welt hand pockets, providing ample space for his essentials. The long sleeves come with button cuffs, allowing him to adjust them to his liking. On the bottom, a pair of black denim pants with a pair of brown timberland boots. Inside was an white plain regular shirt in a soft cotton jersey that featured a crew neckline and long sleeves with a ribbed crew neck and straight-cut hem, simple silver wristwatch with a darker brown leather strap on his right wrist, an black knitted beanie sat on his head and his hair was smooth and comb.
The redhead man continues to walk down the stone sidewalk with his hands tucked inside of his pocket until he finds the house that he is going to.
The grand two-story country-style home in victorian style features a double-gabled roof, wraparound porch, a Palladian window, and an intricately detailed red brick chimney. Festive autumn wreath hung from the door, adorned with dried flowers, pinecones, and ribbons in warm, earthy tones. Garlands of colorful leaves and autumn berries cascade down the front porch stair railings, and some garlands drape just above the railing with the sweeping look and more wreaths were placed above the pillar that hide the garland end. There are even more garlands draped on the fence of their front home.
He smirked as began to walk down the path that led him to the steps of their front porch that he climbed up to reach the door. He took a deep breath before knocking on one of the front doors. The sound of the dog can be heard barking inside of the house, alerting that they have received an unexpected visit.
Soon, someone answered the door.
Standing was a 61 years old Paula, her medium to deep skin with cool sand undertones developed some fine lines and wrinkles, particularly around her eyes and mouth. Her facial features have matured, and her long dark brown hair, which never shows any gray streaks (which she actually hides it from the hair dye), in a wavy style. Paula's body shape, characterized by wider hips and bottom compared to her shoulders and bust, has likely persisted with age, complemented by a graceful and poised posture. She wore this long-sleeve T-shirt in a solid color featuring a square neck and a ribbed design for textured flair, dusty pink jean pants, a pair of matching flats and her wedding ring with a small diamond.
Paula greeted Anthony with a warm surprise smile as she opened the door. "Hola, Anthony!" she exclaimed, her eyes crinkling at the corners with affection. "It's so nice to see you. Come on in. Buster, it's okay, it's just Anthony," she called out to the barking English bulldog, assuring him that the visitor was a friend they knew.
Anthony returned Paula's smile and stepped inside, nerves and determination were coursing through him. He had come here with a serious question in mind, one that he hoped Silver's parents would understand and support. But first, he needed to find the right moment to broach the subject.
The redhead followed the mother into the cozy living room, which was adorned with autumn-themed decorations. The fireplace crackled with a warm fire, casting a comforting glow throughout the room.
In the living room he could see Roberto sat on the couch, engrossed in watching his soccer game on the wall tv. Same age as his wife, Roberto's deep skin with bronze undertones now carries the imprints of a life well-lived, with fine lines and wrinkles subtly tracing the contours of his face, particularly around his eyes and mouth. His facial features have matured, and a distinguished salt-and-pepper beard adds to his countenance. His once-black wavy hair now boasts prominent gray streaks, and his physique, though heavy-set, has softened slightly with age, yet his wide shoulders, bloated stomach, and thick arms remain prominent features and some hints of white hair have emerged on his chest and arms.
He put on this dark brown linen bomber jacket that's made from woven fabric. It features a stand-up collar, a zipper at the front, and ribbon cuffs and hem. It's linen and has side pockets with hidden snap fasteners and an inner pocket. Inside his jacket was a regular-fit t-shirt in a soft cotton jersey with a ribbed crew neck and straight-cut hem in the color vanilla. He paired his look with fitted darker brown jeans held up with a brown leather belt and a casual cognac sneaker as well as his golden wedding ring and a silver watch on his right wrist.
At 11 years old, Amelia and Valentina have continued to develop their unique physical characteristics. Amelia, with her deep tan skin tone, has retained her sun-kissed complexion, while Valentina's neutral skin tone has also matured beautifully. Both have grown slightly taller in the same height and now share a slightly rectangular body type.
Amelia is dressed in this long-sleeve mock turtleneck tee is crafted from heavyweight microfleece fabric for cozy comfort in honey orange, to pair up her shirt was this bright brown chestnut denim pant with black leather belt, like her younger twin, she, too, wore an converse shoes that match the color of her top and her shoulder length hair was style into an 60s flipped hair with a headband that matched her pant.
Valentina wore this soft baby pink sweatshirt with a contrasting white classic collar, dropped shoulders, and three quarters wide sleeves length and shirt with the banded hems. A pair of creamy pants that her sweatshirt was tucked in, and converse shoes that match the color of her sweatshirt and her long black hair was styled into a smooth half up half down with the curls end.
The five years old kid with deep tan skin named Ethan is wearing this regular fit, it features a classic polo design in dark forest green with a white collared neckline and a two-button button placket for classic style. On the bottom was a pair of dark blue denim jeans and easy dark brown slip-on shoes.
Amelia and Valentina were sitting on the floor, working on their school assignments. Little five years old Ethan played with his toys on the rug.
"Hi, Roberto, Amelia, Valentina, Ethan!" Anthony greeted them warmly, Amelia and Valentina looked up from their schoolwork and flashed him bright smiles, while Ethan waved enthusiastically.
Roberto stood up from the couch, offering a welcoming handshake. "Ah! Anthony, good to see you. What brings you here today?" he inquired with curiosity as he didn't expect Anthony to come to their house without them knowing.
"Paula, Roberto," Anthony began addressing to the both of them, determination and nervousness can be heard in his tone when he speaks. "I do apologize for coming here unexpectedly. But I came here today because there's something important I'd like to discuss with both of you. It's a matter that requires privacy, but it's something I hope you'll understand and support."
Roberto and Paula exchanged a confused and slightly surprised look before turning to their children. "Ah… kids," Paula said to them before all eyes were on their mother, "why don't you go upstairs for a little while? We'll call you down when we're ready." She said with a warm but firm and serious attitude that she meant business.
Amelia and Valentina exchanged glances but complied, pausing their school work and taking young Ethan along with his toys with them while Buster, the English bulldog, followed the children as they made their way upstairs.
"What do you think they will talk about that's so important?" Valentina asks her older twin.
"Beat me." Amelia just shrugged at her. Then, an mischievous look on her face began to appear, she leaned in closer to Valentina. "Hey, you know what we should do?" she whispered.
Valentina's curiosity piqued, and she lowered her voice as well. "What?"
"We should eavesdrop on them," Amelia suggested with a grin. "They seem really serious about whatever Anthony came to talk about. Maybe it's something big!"
Valentina hesitated for a moment, then nodded in agreement. "Okay, but we have to be super quiet and careful. Let's go up to the floor and hide behind the stair railing."
The twins, along with Ethan and Buster the dog, crept up the stairs, their small feet making minimal noise on the carpeted steps. They reached the second floor of their house, where the ornate wooden white railing offered a perfect hiding spot. From there, they could see the archway of the cozy living room below, obscured by the wooden slats.
Ethan, too young to fully grasp the situation, played contentedly with his toys, unaware of their secret mission. Buster lay down nearby, his droopy eyes watching the children with mild curiosity.
Back in the living room, and once the children had left the room, Paula disappeared briefly into the kitchen, returning with three cups of warm chocolate on the wooden tray. She handed one to Anthony, to her husband, and to herself.
Paula and Roberto exchanged another look before the wife gestured for Anthony to sit on the couch. She took a seat next to her husband, while Anthony settled into an armchair, their expressions were curiosity and concern of what had brought Anthony today to wish to have a word with them without their three children in the room with them?
Anthony took a deep breath, his heart pounding in his chest as he prepared to broach the subject that had brought him here. "Paula, Roberto," he began, his voice steady but filled with emotion. "I know this is unexpected, but there's something I need to discuss with you both."
Paula and Roberto nodded, urging him to continue with their supportive expressions before they sip their cups.
"It's about Silver," Anthony said, his gaze focused on his cup. "I love your son more than anything, and I can't imagine my life without him. We've been through so much together, and we've always supported each other for the past five years of our relationship."
Anthony continued, his cornflower blue eyes lifting to meet Paula's and Roberto's with a sincerity that couldn't be doubted. "You both know that Silver means the world to me. He's not just the person I love; he's my partner, my confidant, and my best friend. We've grown together, faced challenges, and celebrated triumphs as a couple. And it's with that love and commitment in mind that I come here today."
Paula's gaze softened as she listened, and Roberto placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. They could sense the gravity of Anthony's words and were eager to hear what he had to say.
Anthony took another sip of the warm chocolate, finding comfort in its familiar taste. "I've been thinking about our future, about my future with Silver, and what it means for all of us. You see, I want to spend the rest of my life with him. I want to build a life together, a family, and create a home filled with love and happiness. Just like how you create a home filled with love and happiness."
A tender smile formed on Paula's lips, and she reached for her husband's hand, intertwining their fingers. "Anthony, that's a beautiful sentiment," she said warmly.
Roberto nodded in agreement. "We can see how much you love our son, and it brings us joy to know that he's found someone as caring and genuine as you."
Encouraged by their understanding, Anthony continued, his words flowing more freely. "Thank you, Paula, Roberto. That means the world to me. But there's something more I want to ask. The reason why I came here to your home unexpectedly and unannounced is that I want to ask for your blessing. I want to ask for your permission to marry Silver, your son. For his hand in marriage."
The room was filled with a heavy silence, and Paula and Roberto exchanged another meaningful glance. Up on the landing, the twins strained to hear their parents' response with their mouths wide open in shock, their hearts racing as they waited in suspense.
Anthony wants to marry their older brother!?
In the living room, Roberto and Paula looked at Anthony in stunned silence, their eyes wide with shock, and their expressions frozen in disbelief. For what felt like an eternity, the room was filled with tension, as if time itself had come to a standstill.
Paula was the first to break the silence, she let out a shock and amazement shriek that seemed to defy the laws of physics, a sound that could only be described as a combination of joy, astonishment, and sheer disbelief. It started as a high-pitched gasp and then transitioned into a series of exclamations that seemed to have no end.
"Ay dios mio!" she exclaimed, her hands flying to her chest in astonishment. "Anthony, ay, aaayyyyy! You—you want to marry our Silver? You're serious are you? Oh my god, oh my ggggoooddddd!!!!!"
Anthony felt his heart race as he tried to process Paula's reaction. He turned to Roberto, his eyes seeking some kind of explanation or guidance.
Roberto, too, appeared to be utterly stunned by Paula's reaction. He glanced at Anthony, then back at his wife, and finally managed to respond to Anthony's silent question. "Well," he began, choosing his words carefully, "I think it's safe to say that the last time she made that sound was on our wedding night."
Paula's exuberant exclamations continued, punctuated by phrases like, "Dios mío", "Ay Jesu!," and "This is incredible!" She jumped up from the couch and began pacing around the room, her excitement uncontainable.
Meanwhile, on the landing, the twins couldn't believe their ears. They exchanged wide-eyed glances, and their shock mirrored that of their parents. It was clear that they had never witnessed their mama react in such a way.
Back in the living room, Paula's pacing had reached a frenetic pace, and she clasped her hands together as if in prayer, still letting out intermittent cries of joy. Roberto, on the other hand, simply shook his head with an amused smile.
Finally, Paula seemed to catch her breath, and she rushed over to Anthony, enveloping him in a sudden tight hug. "Oh Anthony," she exclaimed, "of course, you have our blessing! We couldn't be happier for you and Silver! You've made us the happiest parents in the world! We couldn't ask for a better partner for our Silver."
Roberto nodded in agreement, his face breaking into a wide grin. "Anthony, you have our blessing a thousand times over," he said, his voice filled with genuine warmth.
Relief washed over Anthony as he realized that his heartfelt request had been met with not just acceptance but overwhelming joy and support. He couldn't have asked for a better response from Silver's parents.
Down on the landing, the twins exchanged excited glances and gave each other a silent shriek. Their mission to eavesdrop on the conversation had yielded unexpected and heartwarming results. They knew this was a momentous occasion for their family.
Paula, still beaming, reached out and placed a hand on Anthony's. "You've brought so much happiness into our lives, Anthony," she said with gratitude. "We can't wait to officially welcome you into our family."
With Paula's joyful exclamations of support and Roberto's warm smile, Anthony knew that it was clear that the Willow family welcomed him into their hearts with open arms, and he couldn't have asked for a better response to his heartfelt request.
As Paula began hugging him tightly, Anthony reciprocated with genuine affection. "Thank you, Paula," he said with a smile on his face. "And thank you, Roberto. Your blessing means more to me than words can express. I promise to cherish Silver and to always strive to make him happy."
Paula stepped back, still beaming with joy. "We know you will, Anthony," she said with a lovely maternal warmth. "And remember, you're not just gaining a spouse; you're gaining a family who loves you dearly."
Roberto nodded, but his tone became more serious, though still infused with warmth. "Anthony, now that you have our blessing to marry our son, I want you to know how important Silver is to us. He's our firstborn, our pride and joy. He's brought immense happiness to our and others lives, and we've watched him grow into the incredible adult he is."
He continued on, "We've always known that Silver would find someone special to share his life with, and it's evident that you are that person. But with this blessing comes a responsibility, Anthony. We entrust you with our son's heart and happiness, and we expect nothing less than the utmost love, care, and respect from you." He then looked at his wife. "Just like I did with Paula."
Roberto's tone grew even more solemn as he emphasized his point. "You see, Silver is not just a part of our family; he's the heart of our family. He's kind, compassionate, and has a gentle spirit, but he's also strong and determined. He deserves a partner who will stand by his side through thick and thin, who will support his dreams, and who will cherish his uniqueness."
Anthony nodded earnestly, fully understanding the gravity of Roberto's words. "I promise you, Roberto, that I will do everything in my power to be that partner for Silver. I will love him unconditionally, support his dreams, and always respect and cherish who he is. I know how special he is, and I'm honored to be a part of your family."
Roberto's expression softened, and he placed a reassuring hand on Anthony's shoulder. "Anthony, we believe in your love for Silver, and we can see the happiness you bring him. We know that you both will build a beautiful life together."
Paula, who had been listening attentively, added her own heartfelt sentiments. "Anthony, always remember that we're here for you both. Our home is your home, and our hearts are always open to you. We'll support your journey together in any way we can."
Touched by their words, Anthony spoke back to them.. "Thank you, Paula, Roberto. Your love and support mean everything to me. I promise to be the best partner I can be for Silver and to always honor the trust you've placed in me."
With heartfelt conversations and emotional bonds strengthened, it was a moment of celebration, a milestone that marked the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, filled with happiness, love, and unity. And up on the second floor, the twins, Amelia and Valentina, couldn't help but share a triumphant high-five, knowing that they had played a part in this beautiful moment of family connection and acceptance by eavesdropping.
