Oliver Queen smiled to his workers as he walked through his office floor. He shook hands, asked about families and took time to interact with those who depended on him for their families survival in life. Oliver had spent more of his life than he cared to remember not caring for those around him, he was determined to live the test of it making up for that terrible fact.

As Oliver came within sight of his glass-walled office he saw a beautiful, brunette woman sitting inside. She was calm and collected, with a stone face that did not give off any semblance of emotion. There was only one woman he knew of that had a pokerface like that. As he opened the door his heart began to race. It raced for the days when he knew her, it raced for the love he had felt, and it raced for the love he felt when he locked eyes with her.

"Hello, mahbubi".

"Hello Talia".

Al-Ajnabiu's heart beat fast as she entered CC Jitters coffee shop. She was nervous enough at the idea of meeting a strange man, but to be in a strange place just about terrified her. As she looked around she saw many people milling about, none of whom struck her as being parents. She saw men, women, many of whom were couples, but no parents, not even a child. She took the stairs to the second floor. She found a blonde haired man by himself, looking down at the people below.

"look at them", he said, maybe to her, maybe to noone in particular, "so blissfully unaware of what goes on around them".

"What goes on around them"?

"War, war for the mind and spirit. Maybe some of them know, but most do not".

"I'm sorry, are you who I'm..."

Before she could ask, the man stood, placed a five dollar bill on the table and downed the last of his drink. He smiled a knowing smile as he walked past, and out the door.

She jumped internally when her phone rang, her nerves having been put on edge by the man she just met.

"Hello"?

"Hi, this is Barry Allen, I'm sorry for running late. Do you still have time to meet today"?

"Of course Mr. Allen. I actually just arrived at CC Jitters".

"Great, I'll be there in five minutes".

Five minutes later Barry Allen arrived, and Al-Ajnabiu was once again on edge as she looked at the face of the blonde man eho had made her so nervous.

"Mr. Allen"?

"Yes, you must be Kara".

"Yes", she said, acting as if nothing was wrong, "Kara Staunton".

"Sorry for being late, something came up at work that i had to take care of".

"What kind of work do you do, if you don't mind me asking"?

"Naw, it's fine. I'm a C.S.I. for the CCPD, been working a case for months now, haven't been able to find anything though".

"I hope you solve it".

"That's where my brother Eddie comes in, he's the detective, i just investigate the crime scene and pass off what i find out".

"That sounds fascinating".

"It can be. So, Kara, tell me about yourself, what made you interested in being a nanny"?

"Well, my sisters and I recently moved to Star City and..."

"I'm sorry, Star City? that's six hundred miles away".

"Well, I'm moving here to Central City because I'm going to be taking classes at the university".

"What about your sisters"?

"My eldest is working at Queen Consolidated and the other is an ethical hacker".

"That's quite the family".

"Yes, they are very special to me".

"And I'm sure your parents are proud".

Kara swallowed the sadness that threatened to rise at the mention of parents. This Mr. Allen, she hoped he was not the same man, that man had scared her, but the eyes of this man were kind and genuine, had meant nothing except praise, but she missed her parents deeply.

"They are".

"So, i got the results of your background check and i am more than pleased with you as a person, but I'm not sure how Nora will react, since we lost her mother she hasn't taken to anyone".

"I understand. If you feel that she is not ready I am more than happy to wait".

"It's not that, I have so much on my plate and my friend Iris can only do so much. Nora needs someone on a permanent basis, i guess I'm just worried about you getting overwhelmed, especially since you have school".

"Mr. Allen, i am more than capable of taking courses online, I believe i am called here for a reason".

"Okay then, are you willing to come over this Saturday to spend the day with Nora? Iris will be over so it won't just be us alone".

"Of course Mr. Allen".

Barry sighed with relief and ran his fingers through his blonde hair. For so long he had worried about what he would do about Nora, but there was something about this woman that made him assured. Noone since Caitlin had made him feel like that. As they stood to leave Kara asked, "by the way Mr. Allen"...

"Barry, please ".

"Barry, do you by chance have an identical twin"?

It was not lost on Kara that Barry's shoulders tensed.

"No, why do you ask"?

"Well, before you called me i came up here and this man that looks like you was sitting here", she said, pointing to where she had been sitting, "and he speaking of war and the mind and...it was very unnerving, to say the least".

Kara didn't know Barry Allen well, ut the look on his face made Kara think that he was familiar with the twin, and not in a fond way.

Barry slowly sat down, his mind becoming burdened.

"Barry, is..is everything alright"?

"Kara, would you mind coming with me to my office"?
