"Alright, Dracovish is recovering perfectly fine and Charizard has calmed down just fine." Ash sighed, as he sat back in his main area as Pikachu ran up to him.

"Pi?" Pikachu asked.

"Yeah, I know it's just us now, I guess this is just a bit different to get used to." Ash said. "How about we take on a frontier challenge to get us out of here, plenty of trainers from around the world, might be fun to challenge one of them."

"Pika Pika!" Pikachu cheered, hopping onto Ash's shoulder as they headed for the elevator.

Back at the Ferris Wheel

"Alright, it looks like our number is 32 today." Ash said, looking at his ticket. "I'll be curious to see who our opponent is today."

"Pi." Pikachu said, seeing Ash's ticket, before looking down at the Pokeballs containing his friends.

A short wait later

"Alright, time to see who todays challenger is… Casey?" Ash asked in surprise. "It's been, wow it has been a long time since we last saw each other, around Mount Silver when I was prepping for the Silver League I think. What are you even doing here?"

"Hey, you may be tied for world champion but that doesn't mean we're backing down just like the Electabuzz Team!" Casey argued.

"I-I'm not saying that, I'm honestly just confused why you're here, but as long as you're my opponent, so be it." Ash said.

"Alright challengers I can see both of you have participated in this arena at least one prior time but just in case you forgot, here are the rules. Here on the Ferris Wheel, we have double battles with a maximum of four Pokemon, you each must keep at least one Pokemon on the floor of the battle field at a time, and whoever loses three pokemon is declared the loser. Now lets see some exciting battling!" The Scott recording exclaimed.

"Meganium! Electabuzz! Come on out!" Casey called out.

"Rowlet! Melmetal! I choose you!" Ash called out.

Meganium and Electabuzz slammed onto the battlefield, raring for battle, as Melmetal dropped onto the platform with Rowlet flying around above him. Rowlet flew over to Meganium proudly showing his Decidueye costume as she showed off her Electabuzz sweat band.

"Rowlet, now is not the time to show off your costume!" Ash groaned.

Rowlet cooed, before flying back over to Melmetal who was flexing noticing the cameras on him.

"Right, I really need to think about who I send into battle here." Ash groaned.

"Your poor choice is our open chance! Meganium give them a fast ball with Energy Ball! Electabuzz hit them out of the park with Fire Punch!"

"Melmetal use Double Iron Bash! Rowlet use Seed Bomb!"

Rowlet fired off his Everstone, breaking apart Meganium's Energy Ball as Melmetal knocked Electabuzz around a couple of times the electric type never even landing a hit.

"Meganium use Body Slam! Electabuzz use Uproar!"

"Melmetal use Flash Cannon! Rowlet use Brave Bird!"

Rowlet dove forward, striking Meganium before being knocked back from the larger grass types attack as Melmetal and Electabuzz traded ranged attacks.

"Meganium use Body Slam! Electabuzz use Thunderbolt!"

"Rowlet use Shadow Claw! Melmetal use Double Iron Bash!"

Rowlet sped forward, striking Electabuzz from behind as Melmetal rung Meganium like a gong.

"Ouch, and that is going to leave a mark, looks like a double knockout for one side. Don't worry though, you can still turn it around, send out your other two Pokemon and hope to throw your opponents off their game." The Scott recording said as Casey returned her Pokemon.

"Don't worry, I plan on it." Casey said, spinning her bat to show a keystone inside of it.

"No. Way." Ash said excitedly.

"Beedrill, Jolteon come on out!" Casey called out, before activating her keystone. "Beedrill I know Ash was originally the one who caught you, but we're not going down without a fight, its time to hit Mega Hard!"

"Rowlet switch out! Melmetal give us cover with Flash Cannon!"

"Beedrill use Twin Needle! Jolteon use Shock Wave!"

Melmetal sent out a burst of light as the attacks closed in, Ash's third Pokemon launching out of the smoke coming from the colliding attacks.

"Ha!Lu!Cha!" Hawlucha declared, spinning out of the smoke with his usual flair.

"Hawlucha use Flying Press! Melmetal use Thunderbolt!"

"Beedrill use Sludge Bomb! Jolteon use Double Kick!"

Hawlucha leapt forward, taking Beedrill's sludge bomb before slamming the mega evolved Pokemon back down onto the arena as Melmetal kept Jolteon occupied.

"Hawlucha use Flying Press! Melmetal use Thunder Punch!"

"Beedrill use Outrage! Jolteon use Thunder Fang!"

Beedrill and Jolteon focused their attacks on Hawlucha as the fighting type flew about, giving Melmetal the opening to strike Beedrill with a powerful punch, dispersing the mega energy around them.

"And that is three Pokemon knocked out, thanks for participating and I hope to see both of you back soon." Scott said.

"Good match Casey, you've come a long way since our time in Johto." Ash said, shaking his old friends hand.

"You too, I mean that much is known, but still hard to believe you're that same trainer who sent out a Charizard against me as a beginner." Casey remarked.

"Yeah Charizard is taking some time to cool off." Ash admitted. "He had a problematic opponent yesterday."

"Anything to worry about?" Casey asked.

"No, I think he got it out of his system by now." Ash admitted, knowing Charizard was going much better.

"Well either way this was fun, hopefully I can get back in the running for that full battle against you." Casey said, as the two parted ways.

Authors Notes

Todays character was Casey, a new trainer introduced at the start of Johto and originally thought to be a new major rival. She is a huge fan of the Electabuzz Baseball team and has a dream of owning an entire team of yellow and black Pokémon. And yes Ash did actually give her a Beedrill, he caught it in the bug catching contest, WON, and then gave her the Beedrill.

Fun fact, so when I title the chapters before exporting them it's a version of the title followed by the chapter number so for Seer Ash in Johto it was Seer Johto 17, this one is the first to use hyphens as each chapter mostly is self included so it's TANF 1-2. Not really important just kind of interesting.
