The Dragon Riders were having fun in the Lair.

Tom and Jun were battling it in the air on their dragons with sword against shield and James as referee. Tom flew towards Jun, swinging his silver sword, which she could block with his shield.

"You'll have to do better than that, Kullersen," said Jun.

"Ho-ho! I'm about to unleash my inner Viking on you!" said Tom.

"Just try not to kill each other," said James.

They didn't appear to be listening as Tom began chasing Jun around the Lair.

While this was happening, Alex was playing with her tablet, which was rather tricky as Feathers kept nuzzling her.

"Feathers… Wait! Wait!" said Alex, pushing her away. Sadly, it was too late that she had lost her game. "No! Oh…"

"You'll never catch me, Wong!" Tom yelled as he flew overhead.

The two of them then clashed once more.

D'Angelo was busy giving a medical examination to Plowhorn while she was sleeping on her side, using his stethoscope to listen to her heartbeat.

"Wow! You've got a big heart, girl!" he said.

Tom and Jun clash again, but Jun knocked Tom off of Thunder this time. Fortunately for him, they weren't too high up, but hitting the ground was still painful.

"And the winner is Jun Wong!" James announced.

"Well, that didn't quite work, did it," said Tom, looking at Thunder as he landed beside him.

"Face it, Kullersen," said Jun as she landed. "You never stood a chance against Jun Wong the Unconquerable!"

Jun stood up proud and straight on Wu's head, but as the two-headed dragon walked over, her face got tangled up in a spider's web, making her scream.

"I got webbed!" she panicked, dropping her shield. "Get it off me! Get it off!"

"Okay, okay, okay. Hold still," said Tom calmly.

He made his way over to Jun, grabbed the spider on her shoulder and handed it over to D'Angelo.

"Come on, little dude," he said as he walked away with the spider. "Let's get you somewhere safe."

"Is it off of me?" Jun asked.

"Yeah. Yeah, you're good," Tom assured her.

"Jun the Unconquerable?" said Alex, raising an eyebrow.

"In fairness, that spider was two centimetres wide," Tom pointed out.

"It doesn't matter how big it is!" Jun snapped. "If they had eight legs, I don't like it."

Alex snickered.

"Just be happy it wasn't on your head!" Tom joked.

"Ha-ha! Very funny, Kullersen!" said Jun.

"Take it easy; I'm afraid of wasps myself," said James.

While talking, Thunder smelled something and looked around the Lair suspiciously.

"What's up, Pal?" Tom asked, noticing him sniffing around.

The other dragons then began sniffing around.

"I think something's in the Lair," said Tom.

"Something? Or someone?" said Alex nervously.

"Everybody, fan out," Tom ordered.

They spread out as they began searching the Lair for any sign of an intruder. It was then that Feathers picked up a scent coming from the stalagmites.

"Psst!" Alex whispered to the others. "Feathers has something!"

Feathers disappeared, and someone in the shadows poked their head from behind the stalagmites. Feathers then reappeared in front of them, roaring and making them jump.

"No, no, no, no!" a voice cried. "Please, don't eat me! Please, don't eat me!"

That someone turned out to be none other than Eugene, much to Jun's shock.

"Eugene?!" Jun gasped horrorstruck.

"Pretty sweet hangout!" he said, picking himself up and quickly backed away from Feathers as she sniffed him. He then joined the other Riders, whom their dragons now surround. "So, this is Dragon Club, huh? You guys are so busted!"

"Oh, just get out of here, Eugene!" Jun snapped.

"Pfft! No way!" Eugene scoffed. "Look how cool these things are! That one sparks! Oh, and that one's got two heads! Check out this horn!"

He reached out to touch Plowhorn's horn, but she grounded him, making him back off.

"Friendly. Not," he said.

"Good girl," D'Angelo smiled, patting Plowhorn.

Eugene then looked at Jun. "When you said they were dragons, Jun, I didn't think you meant you all, like, have your own!"

"The dragons don't belong to us, Eugene," said Tom as he and Alex patted their dragons. "They're our friends."

"Totally get it, Tommy," said Eugene without any sincerity, then leaned towards him. "Oh, and by the way, yours is super cool."

He went out to touch Thunder but then immediately sparked, forcing him to pull his hand away.

"Okay, you saw the dragons! Time to go home!" said Jun, attempting to drag him away.

"Erm, not even!" he said. "I'm in the club now, right? I want a dragon."

"Absolutely not," said Jun firmly.

"Come on! There's nothing else to do around here! And I always let you join me in cool things."

"You never let me play with you!" Jun reminded him.

"Okay, fine," he admitted. "But, still…"

"Eugene, you can't just go and get a dragon. It's not a car," said Jun, looking at the others. "Guys, back me up here! He can't have one, right?"

The Riders looked at one another, sure whether they wanted to get hold of this family dispute.

"Erm, how can I be Dragon Club if I don't have a dragon?" Eugene asked.

"Easy. You're not in Dragon Club."

"Hmm. I am now. Or else."

"Or else what?"

"I'll blow your little secret, tell the whole world about dragons. Check and mate, little sis," he said, patting her on the head and making a clicking noise as he pointed his finger at her like a gun.

"See! He's always…! Argh!" Jun yelled at the others, looking as if she wanted to strangle Eugene with her own two hands.

Tom quickly intervened and looked at Eugene. "Erm, can you excuse us for one sec?"

"Yes, please. Talk amongst yourselves," said Eugene as Tom pushed Jun over to the others.

Wu and Wei then growled at him, making him slightly nervous.

The Dragon Riders then immediately huddled up as they began discussing their options.

"We're all thinking it, so I'm just going to say it," said Alex. "Our dragons could eat him."

"Alex!" said Jun.

"What?"

"We have to do something else. He's gonna spill the secret," said James.

"Okay, okay. I can't believe I'm saying this," said Tom, looking as if he was about to be sick. "But, hypothetically, what if we just…?"

"Tom, no!" said Jun strictly.

"We can't risk him spilling the secret, Jun!"

"No, nuh-uh! Not happening!"

"I don't know, man," said D'Angelo. "Look at that guy."

They turned to look at Eugene, who was just about to sit on a rock. Sadly, Feathers was already there cloaked, and when she showed herself, he immediately jumped, glaring at her.

"Hey!" he said, and Feathers disappeared again.

"You want him on the team?" said D'Angelo, looking at Tom.

"I'm telling you, he's a menace!" said Jun.

"And he's hardly a team player," James added.

"I know, I know!" said Tom. "But imagine how much damage he could do running around, blabbing about the dragons. At least if he has one of his own, he might want to protect it."

They all looked back at Eugene with dubious faces.

"I still don't think we should take eating him off the table," said Alex.

"Honestly, what dragon would even bond with him?" Jun asked out loud.

Tom's eyes lit up. "That's it!"

"What's it?" Jun asked worriedly as Tom approached Eugene with a smile on his face.

"Uh-oh! I smell a Tom idea!" said Alex.

"Eugene, okay, here's the deal," said Tom. "Hear me out."

"I'm listening," said Eugene.

"It's not really up to us whether you get a dragon," said Tom.

"Uh, then who's it up to?" Eugene asked.

"The dragon," said Tom and the other Riders got the idea. "It has to accept you."

"Right," Jun nodded. "So if you can bond with one, you can join the club. Good luck."

"And if you can't, then you go home and keep your mouth shut," D'Angelo added.

"Or we'll feed you to the dra…" D'Angelo then covered Alex's mouth.

"We'll give you 24 hours to bond with a dragon, but you have to do with this little help from us as possible," said James.

"What do you think?" Tom asked.

"I think… you're on!" said Eugene confidently. "Ha! This is going to be a piece of cake! Not cheesecake, though. I'm lactose intolerant."

Moments later, they were on their dragons in the Crystal Realm, with Eugene riding on Wei and trying to stay on.

"Ah! Hold still, dragon!" Eugene ordered. "What me to fall off? Jun, make this thing chill out!"

Jun smiled and looked down at Wu. "Chill him out, Wu."

Wu then blasted Eugene with his ice breath.

"Okay, I walked into that one," he admitted as his teeth chatted.

"Just relax, Eugene," said D'Angelo. "Let Wu and Wei do the flying. You should be looking for a dragon."

"Uh, I am looking," said Eugene. "I just don't see anything sporty enough for a guy like me."

"What about that one?" Tom asked.

Eugene shook his head. "Nah, too small. That one's too long. And that one's… eurgh! What am I even looking at?"

Jun followed his gaze and then rolled her eyes. "That's a crystal."

"Yeah, too crystally," he said after a long silence.

"This is a waste of time!" said Jun. "I'm sorry it didn't work out, bro. We'll take you home."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, Jun-bug! Slow your roll! I'm just warming up," said Eugene. He then leaned over towards Thunder and whispered. "Hey, why don't you trade in this dude for a much cooler rider, huh? The places we can go together!"

Thunder growled at him.

"It's not about finding a cool-looking dragon," said D'Angelo.

"And it's way different than going to a pet store and buying a dog," James added. "Dragons, do you have intelligence and their own personalities."

"It's a real connection and trust, showing the dragon who you really are," said Alex. "And in return, it does the same."

"Like I said, waste of time," said Jun.

Eugene remained silent, thinking about what they were saying.

They soon made their way into the Dark Realm, making their way through the canyon, when D'Angelo spotted a dragon.

"Oh! Down there!" he pointed at a sleeping tornado dragon. "Oh, that one's got Eugene written all over it!"

They soon landed, and Eugene looked pretty pleased with himself.

"Ho-ho-ho! Now, that's a dragon!" he said and began to approach it.

"Uh, wait a sec, Eugene," said Jun. "you've got to be careful around those types of dragons."

"Pfft! You just don't want me to have a cooler dragon than you," Eugene scoffed.

"This should be good," said Alex, eating a bag of cheesy loops as if watching a movie.

"Jun's not lying, Eugene!" said Tom. "Watch yourself!"

Sadly, Eugene didn't appear to be listening as he approached the sleeping dragons with boundless confidence.

"S'up, drago!" he said. "Ho-ho! I'm going to look so awesome riding on your back!"

He then tried to mount the dragon and failed, but he eventually got properly mounted on it. Sadly, this annoyed the dragon and just as he got settled in, it threw him off and struck him with its tail, sending him flying straight into the canyon wall.

The Dragon Riders winced at the site.

"That's got to hurt," said Alex.

"Maybe I'll keep shopping," Eugene groaned.

They then relocated to the Crystal Realm and went to the large lake. While the Dragon Riders sat down, Eugene approached the water but saw no sign of any dragon.

"Well? I don't see anything!" he said.

Ten seconds later, emerging from the water was a Floodfang, and Eugene looked as if he was about to wet himself.

"Eugene, stay still!" Tom instructed. "Reach out your hand calmly and…"

Eugene slowly outstretched his hand, but then the Floodfang roared at him loudly, and he fainted.

They flew through the Crystal realm as Eugene recovered from his sudden shock.

"You were so close, Eugene," said Alex.

"Right up until the point you fainted and face-planted!" said Jun.

Eugene merely glared at them.

They soon landed, and Eugene was now looking down at the small, choppy dragon, looking straight at him with its large eyes.

"Oh, come on!" he said, looking at the others. "Is this thing even a dragon? Do I ride it, or does it ride me?"

Jun merely laughed.

"Hello?" he said to the little dragon, waving his hand before its face. "Hello?" He snapped his fingers before it, trying to get his attention, but it stared into space. "Hey, over here!"

When the dragon didn't respond, he looked at the others. "He doesn't even know where he is!"

Suddenly, he felt something on his left leg, and when he looked down, he saw that the little dragon was chewing his leg, making him scream.

"Stop! Stop! Get back!" he said, grabbing the dragon and lifting it to his face.

Then, as he looked at the little dragon, some of its saliva landed on his right boot and then ignited. He immediately tossed the little dragon in the end and began dancing around, trying to put out the flames.

Jun caught the dragon in her arms and looked at it sweetly. "Aw! You okay? Did that mean Eugene scared you?"

"Him?!" Eugene explained as he finally put out the flames. "What about me?"

"Face it, you obviously aren't cut out for this," said Jun as he put the dragon down, and it scampered off.

"I can do anything you can do," said Eugene. "I want to go again. And this time, you're going to tell me your secret dragon whisperer magic."

"There is no magic to this, Eugene," said Tom.

"They can tell when someone is being a jerk. You're not Dragon Rider material," said Jun bluntly.

"Oh-ho-ho! That does it!" said Eugene. "Kiss your dragon secret goodbye! Losers!"

He then stormed off on the other Riders and looked at Jun.

"I'm going to need a ride back," said Eugene.

Jun groaned.

Then suddenly, they heard a roar in the distance; judging from how the dragons reacted, it wasn't native.

"Uh, yeah, so maybe we should come back later?" Eugene suggested.

Sadly for him, the Dragon Riders mounted their dragons and took off. Wu then grabbed him and tossed him onto his saddle.

"Come on," said Jun, riding on Wei.

"Wait!" Eugene yelled as they took off. "What was that noise? Where are we going?"

They followed the source of the sound and discovered three Flamethrowers attacking a couple of tiny dragons. The little dragons tried fending them off with their flames, but the Flamethrowers circled like vultures.

"What are those things?" Eugene asked.

"Flamethrowers," said Tom.

"What are they doing this far in the Crystal Realm?" D'Angelo asked.

"I don't know. This is way outside of their territory."

"You that out later, right now those little dragons need help," said James.

"Yeah, so let us score these troublemakers back to where they belong," said Jun.

"Wait, wait, wait," said Eugene. "We're getting closer to them?"

"Those little dragons need help," said D'Angelo.

"This is kind of our thing," said Alex.

"This is what it means to be a Dragon Rider," said James.

"Let's go, Dragon Riders!" said Jun.

They flew down towards the Flamethrowers, and Eugene screamed the entire way. The Flamethrower spotted them and quickly flew away from the little dragons.

"D, left! Alex, right! James, above!" Tom ordered. "Jun!"

"On it!" said Jun.

They quickly swooped in towards the Flamethrowers, causing them to scatter as they took up their positions. Jun hung back with Wu and Wei to intercept the Flamethrowers in case they broke off with the other Riders as they engaged.

"You can just let me off any time," said Eugene.

"Too late!" said Jun.

"Why did you drag me along on this stupid mission."

"Drag you along?! You blackmailed us into bringing you down here!"

The Flamethrowers about point disengaged with the other Riders and tried to escape. Sadly, Jun was too busy arguing with Eugene to notice this and failed to see the Flamethrowers flying towards them.

"Jun, heads up!" Tom yelled.

Jun turned and barely had time to duck as the Flamethrowers flew overhead, and they escaped.

"Urgh! Eugene!" Jun groaned, glaring at her brother.

"What?" he said. "I didn't do anything! I'm literally just sitting here!"

"Guys, we're supposed to be fighting the Flamethrowers, not each other," Tom reminded them. "Focus up!"

Alex's tablet began to beep, and she immediately looked at it. "It's my sensors. Looks like there's another disturbance north of here."

"It could be more Flamethrowers," said D'Angelo.

"The Fire Realm is in the opposite direction. How do they get so far deep into the Crystal Realm?" James asked.

"I don't know, but we have to check it out," said Tom. "All right, let's go."

Eugene groaned as they flew off to the north. "Can't you just take me home?"

It turned out to be the Flamethrowers, now pestering the chubby little dragon from earlier.

"Come on! We've got them this time!" said Tom as they swooped in.

Alex then flew in front of the Flamethrowers. "Feathers, grita!"

Feathers immediately unleashed a sonic blast upon the Flamethrowers, getting their attention. They then began chasing after the riders instead of pestering the little dragon. Jun, this opportunity to retrieve the little dragon.

"Come here, little guy!" she said, and the dragon jumped into her arms.

"Urgh! Those flaming ones are bad enough!" said Eugene. "Get that little devil away from me!"

It then tried to bite his hand off, surprising and causing him to fall off Wu.

Unfortunately, this got one of the Flamethrowers' attention, and when it saw Eugene, it saw easy prey. It pulled away from Tom and swooped towards Eugene, who began running for his life.

"Eugene, get back here!" Jun yelled.

Jun hot off Wei plays little dragon next to the two-headed dragon. "What's this little guy."

She then grabbed the shield and chased after Eugene just as one of the Flamethrowers flew at him.

"Eugene, look out!" Jun yelled.

The Flamethrowers landed in front of Eugene, blocking his path and attacking him with a fire blast. He would have been roasted alive if Jun hadn't secured it with a shield. It ran right past him and headed straight towards the little choppy dragon. Wu and Wei were too busy fending off another Flamethrower to notice this.

"No!" Jun cried.

The Flamethrower then jumped at the little dragon, knocking it back. Before the Flamethrower could do more damage, Thunder landed in front of it and roared. Realising they were outnumbered, the Flamethrowers flew away for a second time.

D'Angelo sighed. "There they go again."

Eugene looked at Jun, amazed. "Whoa, Jun! That was pretty awesome!"

Jun wasn't listening, and she quickly dashed over to the injured little dragon, whom D'Angelo was now examining.

"Is he okay?" she asked.

"Yeah, he'll be all right," D'Angelo assured her as he rubbed some ointment on its wing. "Just got a minor singed wing."

Jun then turned to D'Angelo angrily. "Look what you did!"

"Me?" Eugene exclaimed. "I was trying to escape with my life!"

Tom quickly placed himself between the two siblings before they came to blows. "All right, enough! We're Dragon Riders. We watch out for each other. That way, nobody gets hurt."

Alex's tablet then beeped again. "We've got another one!"

"Flamethrowers again?" Tom frowned.

"I'd say it's likely," said Alex. "With this location seems way too deep in the Crystal Realm for them."

"That doesn't make sense," said Tom.

"Um, newsflash, none of this makes sense!" said Eugene.

"Maybe there's another entrance of the Fire Realm we don't know about," said James.

"Possibly, but the way they're being aggressive shows that they're trying to expand their territory," said D'Angelo.

"Okay, whatever's going on, let's figure it out," said Tom.

They all quickly mounted their dragons, with Eugene again sharing with Jun.

"There you go, little guy," said D'Angelo, just finishing by implying the ointment to the little dragon. "Eat to fish and call me in the morning."

He then quickly mounted Plowhorn and chased after the others.

The new signal was transmitted in the Crystal Towers, where they encountered the Featherhides.

"Oh, that's not ominous at all," said Alex.

They saw several large crystal spires nestled together with Flamethrowers flying around them, and they could see lava spewing out from the cave from the central spire.

"The flamethrowers are circling those spires," said D'Angelo. "They shouldn't even be here!"

"Maybe that's the clue to what they doing in the Crystal Realm!" said Tom. "We need to get close. There, They'll see it coming from the sky. Let's go on foot."

They began coming close to the spires, but Eugene was hanging back.

"Yeah, that's cool," said Eugene. "I'll stay back here, thanks."

"Fine, take your chances alone," said Jun as she followed the others.

"Fine, I will. And my chances are awesome," said Eugene, but then he heard dragon roars nearby. "They could probably use my help. Yeah, let's go."

He then ran off to join the others.

"Stay low," said Tom as they approached the spires.

"So, I do this, I get in the club, right?" Eugene asked, looking at Jun.

"What?" said Jun, turning to face him. "You've been begging to go home the whole time. You don't even like me. Why do you even want to join us?"

"Maybe I just want to be a part of something. Is that so hard to understand?"

"Everything you're a part of, Eugene, crashes and burns. This is too important." She then turned her back to him. "Bond with a dragon or go home and keep your mouth shut. That was the deal."

"Maybe I would've bonded with one already if you weren't working against me."

Jun turned around and looked at him furiously. "Maybe I wouldn't work against you if you weren't always working against me!"

"Well, maybe I'll just tell Mom anyway!"

"Why are you always like this?"

"Sh!" Tom hissed, gaining their attention. "Are you guys trying to blow our cover?"

"Do I have to separate you two?" D'Angelo asked, looking at them strictly.

"No," they said together.

"I am thankful I don't have the sort of problems with my sister," said James, rolling his eyes.

D'Angelo looked at him. "You have a sister?"

"Can we focus on the task at hand?" Tom asked.

Jun looked at Eugene firmly. "Just be quiet, and we'll get through this and go home."

Eugene gasped when he saw something flying towards them directly behind Jun. "What is that?"

Jun sighed. "I'm not six any more, Eugene. I'm not falling for that one."

"Seriously, Jun!" Eugene yelled.

Jun turned and saw the dragons heading straight towards them. The dragon that the Flamethrowers were chasing had eight legs with two front ones resembling hands.

Jun screamed upon seeing it.

"Incoming!" Tom yelled.

"Look out!" Eugene yelled.

"Hide!" Alex yelled.

"Get down!" James yelled.

They quickly scattered, and Wu and Wei flipped Jun and Eugene onto their saddles. They quickly took off, but the dragons began chasing after them, and the two siblings screamed the entire way.

They had to land near one of the spires to get away from them, and Jun was seriously freaking out, mostly over the multi-limbed dragon.

"Whoa!" said Eugene as he watched the Flamethrowers chasing the multi-limbed dragon. "What was that thing?"

"It's a spider dragon!" Jun yelled. "Where did it go? Where did it go?"

"It doesn't look like a spider," said Eugene.

"It has eight legs! That is a spider in my book," she said, hugging herself. "Urgh! I hate them!"

Tom and the others were observing the spires and could see more Flamethrowers arriving.

"More of them?" said Tom, and then noticed that they were flying through the cave where the lava was coming. "This must be how they're getting into the Crystal Realm! They're taking the shortcut somewhere. They could overrun this place."

Jun was still terrified, and Eugene knew they couldn't stay put, not with so many Flamethrowers flying around.

"Jun, I'm not good at this, okay?" he said. "There, I said it. Look, I need you to keep it together!"

"I can't!" she snapped. "That spider thing is still out there somewhere! In the dark…"

"Don't forget the Flame-eaters!"

"Throwers! And you're not helping!"

Eugene looked at his sister and knew she was unfit to lead. "Jun, come on! Let's go! Really freaked out! Get up! Please!"

"I… I can't."

Wu and Wei moved in closer to her to reassure her, and then suddenly, they saw Flamethrowers looking down at them.

"We've got to leave! Now!" said Eugene and picked Jun up. "Come on!"

They then quickly mounted Wu and Wei and took to the air. The Flamethrower quickly followed them and began firing their fire blast at them.

Tom and the others saw even more Flamethrowers flying out of the cave.

"We have to say that lava flow before more of these Flamethrowers get through!" said Tom.

"Me and P on it. Right, girl?" said D'Angelo, looking at Plowhorn.

Plowhorn then fired a loopy blast at the cave, and the lava stopped flowing, but seconds later, it was flowing again. More Flamethrowers were flying out of the cave if that wasn't bad enough.

"Fall back!" Tom yelled.

Jun and Eugene had landed and were now scaling the crystal spires.

"Come on! This way!" said Eugene as he climbed.

Jun was still terrified to climb, so Wei grabbed her hand. He and Wu flew to the top of the cliff. Sadly, when they arrived, they found it was a dead end and were completely strapped.

"This is a dead end!" Jun pointed out.

"Oh, I'm sorry!" said Eugene. "Should I have not saved us from being barbecued? Someone needed to make a decision!"

"Yeah, instead, we get eaten! Big improvement!"

The argument was cut short when the multi-limbed dragon appeared over the cliff.

"Look out!" D'Angelo yelled.

Jun screamed, and the dragon landed on the crystal surface, clearly able to stick to walls like a spider. It then climbed upwards, and Jun curled herself next to Wu and Wei, shivering in fear. Two Flamethrowers then flew by, no doubt still chasing the multi-limbed dragon, but Wu and Wei were able to scare them off.

Eugene began looking around for someplace to go when he heard something behind him. He turned around and saw the multi-dragon had returned, looking down at them from the wall.

"No, no, no, no!" Jun whimpered when she saw the dragon.

The other Dragon Riders were now up in the air. They could see the entire crystal spires were swarming with Flamethrowers.

"Where are Jun and Eugene?" Alex asked.

"Don't know when the Flamethrowers dived down at us; we got separated," said James.

"The guide at the take care of themselves," said Tom and then looked towards the Flamethrowers. "We have our hands full!"

They then engaged the Flamethrowers, hoping we could scare them off back to the Fire Realm. Sadly, the Flamethrowers were not put off by the men, who immediately fired their fire blast at them.

Jun and Eugene were face-to-face with the multi-limbed dragon slowly approaching them.

Eugene looked at Jun, who was whimpering against Wu and Wei. He could tell she was in no fit state to fend off this dragon and then quickly placed himself between them.

"Back off, spidey!" said Eugene. "Snack times over!"

The dragon then growled, forcing him towards the corner.

"I take that back!" he said quickly. "Do whatever you want, just don't swallow me!"

The Flamethrowers arrived before the multi-limbed dragon could do anything against either of them. They quickly began to circle the multi-limb dragon, forcing it to move behind Eugene and got ready to unleash their fire blast.

Recognising the signs, Jun quickly grabbed her shield and threw it at him. "Eugene!"

Eugene caught the shield. "Whoa!"

The Flamethrowers then unleashed their fire blasts, but Eugene quickly raised the shield to protect him and the multi-limbed dragon. He then pushed back the flames, causing them to hit the Flamethrowers, knocking them to the ground.

"Yeah!" Eugene cheered. "Take that you, flame-eating throwing thing!"

The multi-limbed dragon then snarled at him, making him jump and quickly backed away from it. Then, to his shock, it helped him, and he immediately began to panic, thinking it would eat him.

"Argh! Gross! Get away from my face!" Eugene yelled. "Watch the hair! You smell totally dank!"

Jun picked up the shield that Eugene dropped and stared. "Eugene, I think it likes you."

"I wish you would like me less," he said.

He then looked at the dragon, saw the affection in its eyes, and laughed. Sadly, they were interrupted by a fire blast overhead and saw the Flamethrowers had now recovered.

"Look out!" Jun yelled as he quickly used her shield to protect herself.

The multi-limb dragon immediately grabbed Eugene and hovered high into the air. It then fired a fire web, ensnaring the two Flamethrowers onto some crystals.

"Nice shot!" Eugene cheered. "This is the weirdest, wackiest, coolest day of my life!"

"We've got to help the others!" said Jun, quickly mounting Wei.

"Right behind you, sis," said Eugene as she took off, and he quickly followed. He then looked up at the multi-limbed dragon which was carrying him. "What's the claws."

The other Dragon Riders were now surrounded by the Flamethrowers and grounded.

"Tighten up! Tighten up!" Tom yelled. "Don't give them another inch."

"We've got to hold our ground!" said D'Angelo.

"We don't have much left to hold," James pointed out.

The Flamethrowers looked like they were about to attack them when Jun and Eugene, now correctly mounted on his new dragon, arrived.

"Oh, no, you don't!" said Eugene.

Wu and Wei swooped, chasing the Flamethrowers off with their ice and heat blasts, and Eugene tore through the middle, scattering them.

"Yeah! Web 'em up!" Eugene cried. His dragon began firing his fire webs, causing them to retreat. "Pwah, pwah, pwah! Ye-ah!"

Tom and the others just stared in confusion at what they just witnessed.

"Is it me, or is Eugene actually helping?" D'Angelo blinked.

"Looks like he found himself a dragon!" said Tom.

"Without any assistance," James added.

The Flamethrower then flew past them in a panic. They were now completely disorganised and were beginning to scatter.

"Let's kick these flaming butts back to the Fire Realm!" said Alex.

They then immediately took off and began chasing after the Flamethrowers. D'Angelo and Alex use their dragons' breath attacks to scare the Flamethrowers back into the cave while Tom and James chase after them, forcing them into the cave.

"Get back in there!" said Tom, forcing a flamethrower into the cave.

Once all the Flamethrowers were rounded up the cave, Eugene and his dragon hovered in front of the entrance.

"All right!" he said and looked down at his dragon. "Can you patch that up?"

His dragon then fired fire webs into the cave, plugging it up and stopping lava flow.

"You are truly the master of webs," said Eugene.

All the Dragon Riders cheered.

"We did it!" said Jun as they flew back to the ground.

"The Wongs win the day!" Eugene cried.

They immediately embraced one another when they landed and hopped off their dragons. However, they quickly separated when they realised what they were doing.

"Ahem. I mean, that was pretty cool," said Eugene. "Did anyone get it on video?"

"No video," said D'Angelo as he and the others landed. "I'll print you up a manual."

"Good job, Eugene," said Tom, then he looked at Jun with a raised eyebrow.

Jun sighed. "Yeah, good job."

"Yeah. You too," he said, and the two awkwardly bumped fists with one another.

They laughed awkwardly while patting each other on the shoulder.

"Awkward," Alex snorted.

They soon gathered up in the Lair to discuss Eugene meeting their challenge.

"Jun, he did meet our challenge," said Tom.

"And rescue you," said D'Angelo.

"And by proxy, us," Alex added.

"And we can't go back on our word," said James.

Jun still looked rather reluctant.

"What's fair is fair, right?" Tom pushed.

"Fine. Provisional status," she said.

Eugene gasped and looked at his dragon. "Hear that, Webmaster! We're in! And, ahem, look, if you stick with me, I'll take good care of you. Promise."

Webmaster then jumped him, and they rolled over the ground playfully, making Eugene laugh.

He then looked up at the others. "Okay, so I'm the leader, right? Oh, you guys are so lucky to have me."

Webmaster then grabbed him and tossed him up into the air with his legs, making him even more.

However, unbeknownst to the Dragon Riders, a large dragon claw burst out of the cave at the crystal spires, followed by a roar.
