Tommy's eyes went wide, virals? What were virals? His mind was racing. There was so much to this he couldn't begin to understand. What had these kids gotten themselves into? Did this have anything to do with why Victoria was kidnapped?

Snap

Tommy could have died. He'd been so laser focused on the boy's conversation he'd forgotten to watch his step.

"Who's there?" It was the boy that had alerted to Tory's disappearance, Benjamin, if Tommy remembered right.

The boys were right about to duck into the bunker to formulate a plan when the sound of something being stepped on got their attention. Instantly three flares lit, their follower had zero chance. Silently the three moved as one. Hi and Sheldon took the flanks with Ben taking point. It would have been easier with Tory but they could manage as a trio easily.

Tommy swore, became visible, this would be easier if all the players knew each other. Easier if they were working together, not tripping over each other.

"How the hell did you do that?" the heavyset boy asked coming up behind him on the right just as he became visible.

"How were you three able to coordinate yourselves without talking?" he countered. "I know you three want to get your friend back, I want to get her back too, I can help you but it requires all four of us putting all of our cards on the table."

"First thanks for acknowledging Tory as our friend and making it sound like she matters" the spectacled boy said.

"She does matter, she's a parent's child and clearly a treasured friend to the three of you that makes her matter to me too." Tommy replied "Lets start with introductions. I'm Dr. Tommy Oliver, Dr. O if you prefer, my first high school class coined that nickname and half a decade and thousands of miles later it still followed me."

The boys looked among themselves, with Tory gone it was up to Ben. He sighed, torn. What would Tory do? Dr. O was clearly intelligent, muscle definition was clear even through his business casual attire. He was a formidable man, what could it hurt, he wanted to help. His stealth capabilities born of that nifty invisibility trick would be super helpful. Not to mention having an adult in on their secrets might be the biggest upside to his stumbling into their lives.

"I'm Benjamin Blue, everyone calls me Ben, this is Hyrum 'Hi' Stolowinski and Sheldon Deevers."

Tommy noticed Ben took lead but he had a feeling this was abnormal.

"Ben are you sure we can trust him?" Sheldon asked tugging at his ear. Tommy figured it was some sort of nervous tick.

"We're not exactly loaded with options." Hi replied.

"I understand your apprehension, I'd feel the same in your shoes, so I'll lay my secrets out first as a sign of good will." Tommy offered as the two came into view from behind him.

They showed him into the bunker and he laid it all on the line. Told them about being a Power Ranger and how he obtained the power to become invisible.

The boys were flabbergasted. They had heard of the power rangers, who hadn't, but it was different meeting one in the flesh.

"Man, if it weren't for that invisibility trick you did I'd have never believed you." Hi said in awe.

The other two agreed then laid their own proverbial cards on the table, from the disease to the genetic mutations to their powers.

Tommy sat on the bench trying to process it all.

"I… damn… I don't know where to start." He replied.

He stood paced the length of the room, then sat back down.

"Could this have anything to do with your friend, Victoria… Tory, and why someone would capture her?"

"We thought of that she is like us… but…" Hi sighed

"We've kept this pretty well our secret, the only other person we've told is Dr. Markus Karston and he's dead." Ben picked up where Hi left off.

"Okay so that doesn't fully rule that out completely, just makes it extremely unlikely."

POV Tory

I paced the room trying to understand why I had been captured.

Then the former senator Hollis Clayborn entered the room and I felt the panic rise. How had he gotten out of prison? What did he want with me?

"Victoria Brennan…" he said his voice cold steel. "You cost me everything… believe me… when we are finished you will beg for death." He said "You will not get the quick death Katherine did, you will suffer."

He left the room and I leaned on the wall looking again for a way out. No luck, I was doomed!
