Moonlight

As Damon sat on Bonnie's couch waiting for the witch to show up all he could think about was where Stefan was at and if he was okay.
'You better be okay, Stef. Don't you dare make a move against Cade until I find you.' Damon thought to himself.
Damon was extremely worried about the fact that Stefan had said that he would find a way to deal with Cade himself. He didn't even want to think about the possibility that Stefan could easily get himself killed. Bonnie looked at Damon frowning slightly as she wondered why Damon was so worried.
"Damon, what's going on?" Bonnie asked.
"Nothing." Damon immediately replied not looking at her.
"Nothing huh. Then why do you constantly have that worried look on your face ever since you got here?" Bonnie asked.
"I just need to know that Stefan is okay." Damon replied.
Bonnie raised an eyebrow immediately noticing that he was avoiding her gaze.
"What aren't you telling me? You've never been this worried about your brother before." Bonnie said.
Damon sighed before looking at her.
"Before he left he said that he was going to find a way to deal with Cade himself." Damon said.
Bonnie looked at him in shock.
"Why didn't you tell me this when you first got here?" Bonnie asked.
"Because I didn't think that you would help me if you knew." Damon replied looking at her seriously.
Bonnie looked at him unsure of how to answer him. After a few seconds she sighed.
"Look, Damon I'll admit I still hate Stefan for killing Enzo…but that doesn't mean that I want him dead. He is still your brother and Caroline's boyfriend after all." Bonnie replied.
"Thanks, Bonnie." Damon said looking relieved.
Bonnie just nodded before turning her attention back to the TV show that she had been watching. After awhile there was a knock on the door making Bonnie get up to go open it. Damon watched as an older woman walked into the living room.
"So I take it that you're the witch that's going to help me find my brother." Damon said.
The woman just looked at him slightly annoyed.
"That's right. My name is Elizabeth." Elizabeth said.
"Thanks for coming, Elizabeth." Bonnie said as she stood next to her.
Elizabeth smiled at her.
"Of course. Your mother has helped me out in the past so it's only fitting that I return the favor." Elizabeth said, "So what is it exactly that you need?"
"We just need you to do a locator spell on his brother." Bonnie said looking at Damon.
Damon didn't say anything as he could already tell that Elizabeth didn't like him. For a few seconds he thought for sure that she wasn't going to help him as she was clearly hesitant in responding to Bonnie. Elizabeth just looked at Damon for a few seconds before sighing and took a seat next to him.
"Okay I'll help you out." Elizabeth said making Damon sigh in relief.
"Thank you." Damon said.
As Caroline yelled out for Alaric she wondered why Stefan needed to talk to him.
"He'll be here in a second." Caroline told him, "What's this about, Stefan?"
Stefan didn't know how to answer her as he didn't want her to know that he was planning on finding a way to kill Cade. After a few seconds of thinking he realized what he could say to her.
"I just need his help to help me find a spell that would prevent any locator spell from finding me." Stefan said.
"Oh okay." Caroline said frowning slightly wondering why he hesitated for a few seconds before answering her.
As she turned around to call for Alaric again he suddenly appeared next to her.
"I'm here." Alaric said.
"Okay. Stefan, Alaric is here." Caroline said before handing the phone over to Alaric.
"Stefan?" Alaric asked.
"Hey, Alaric I need your help." Stefan said.
"Okay with what exactly?" Alaric asked as he watched Caroline start to make her way towards their daughters' room.
"First you can't tell Caroline or Damon about what we're doing and second don't tell Damon that we talked." Stefan said.
Alaric frowned wondering what was going on.
"Okay why?" Alaric asked.
"I don't want them to know that I'm trying to kill Cade." Stefan said.
"Stefan, that's a really bad idea. I mean can he even be killed?" Alaric asked.
"That's what we need to find out." Stefan said, "Listen, Ric it's my fault that he's out so it's my responsibility to do something about him."
"…So I'm assuming that all you need from me is to do some research." Alaric said.
"For right now yeah. I'll be looking too so…"
Alaric frowned wondering why Stefan went quiet all of a sudden.
"You okay?" Alaric asked.
Stefan waited a few seconds before answering.
"Yeah I just feel guilty about releasing him that's all." Stefan replied.
Alaric didn't say anything for a few seconds as he still wondered why Stefan didn't want Caroline or Damon to know that he was trying to kill Cade.
"Stefan, why don't you want me to tell Caroline or Damon about what we're doing?" Alaric asked.
"I don't want them to worry about me and somehow get involved. This could end very badly, Ric and I just don't want to put them in danger." Stefan said.
"They need to know, Stefan. I mean you could die trying to kill Cade." Alaric said.
"I don't care if I die, Ric. Caroline needs to stay alive for your daughters and Damon…after everything that I put him through he needs to stay alive and live his life with Elena." Stefan said.
Alaric could hear the sadness and guilt coming from Stefan as he brought up Damon.
"…Is everything okay between you and Damon?" Alaric asked.
Stefan didn't say anything for a few seconds as he didn't want to respond to him.
"…Just let me know if you find something, Ric." Stefan said before hanging up.
