Hop, Sonia and even Dynamax Wooloo were surprised by this, the sight of the statues being two Pokémon and people in which Sonia comments "so there are two people and Pokémon", Hop also recognises one of them too "that's the Pokémon that…" he was then interrupted by the agent and his Gigantamaxed Garbodor "hey you if you like talking so much we'll have plenty of time later", Garbodor then attacked with Max Steel Spike which almost knocked Wooloo off balance but he stood his ground and counter attacked with Max Lighting and dropped a lightning bolt right on top of Garbodor making it fall off balance. The agent becomes angry and makes it get up again in which Garbodor used its special move G-Max Malodor but Wooloo was faster and attacked with Max Strike knocking Garbodor unconscious and reverting back to normal size. The agent feared now since his Pokémon couldn't battle anymore in which Hop proudly said "well do you want some more" Wooloo then stomped his foot to be intimidating in which the agent angrily replied "you're gonna be sorry" as he returns Garbodor back into its poke ball he makes a run for it.
Sonia then commends Hop on getting rid of the guy "wow Hop that was great" in which he replied, "well for my first Dynamax battle it could've gone worse", Wooloo then turned back to normal size so Hop praises him "you were great Wooloo although I expect no less" Wooloo nods his head. They look back at the statues and Sonia comments "of course the statues" they take a proper look at it to see the two brothers and their Pokémon possessing what seems to be the legendary sword and shield in their mouths.
Meanwhile at the foot of Rose Tower Ash was getting ready to meet up with Hop again so he climbs onto Charizard's back ready to fly out "alright Hop is in Stow-on-side so let's head on over there so let's get moving there quick", Pikachu was excited to get going and Charizard nods and then takes off into the air. As Charizard took flight Ash started remembering the words Chairman Rose had said to him "from humble beginnings to the position I now occupy, I want this gorgeous nighttime view to be here a thousand years from now and I intend to do everything I possibly can do to see that it is" Ash didn't quite understand what Chairman Rose exactly meant and said "a thousand years from now, I can't even wrap my head around that" this also confused Pikachu.
Back in Stow-on-side as Hop and Sonia continue to look at the statues Hop then tells her about the Pokémon he saw in the forest "you know I saw a Pokémon in the Slumbering Weald that looks like one of the statues here, it didn't have a sword or shield but the Pokedex didn't have any date on it and when I tried to catch it my poke ball passed right through it then the fog got really thick and all of a sudden I fell asleep so maybe that's why they call it the Slumbering Weald". Hop then climbed the rumble to get a better look but Sonia seemed interested in this story "but then what" Hop replies, "when I finally woke up the Pokémon was gone" Sonia then remarks "that must've been so strange" Hop then notices a metal plaque embedded into the foot of the statue and Sonia reads it "looks like their names, the one with the sword is Zacian and the one with the shield is Zamazenta". Hop takes a picture of the statues and the plaque and says "it makes sense the legendary hero is really two heroes" Sonia then adds on "and each of them had a Pokémon helping them" and Hop states "and they were Zacian and Zamazenta, long ago when the black vortex was seen in the sky it was called the Darkest Day and it's influence was what brought Galar to the brink of destruction but the two heroes partnered with Zacian and Zamazenta were able to avert disaster" Sonia then explains "that pretty much sums it up…".
An angry voice is then heard behind them "good they're still here this time we're taking you in" they turn around to see the agent had returned but with three more agents and they were running head forward towards them. Sonia becomes annoyed by this "not them again" and Hop says, "they really don't give up" Sonia then asks, "now what" in response Hop says, "only one choice" he grabs Sonia's hand and starts running towards them "charge them straight on and break through their lines", Wooloo barges through first knocking them down allowing Hop and Sonia to get through.
They make it back to town and make a run for the car and quickly get in and Sonia asks, "where to now" and Hops tells the "the Slumbering Wield" however she questions "but what do we do from there" and Hop proudly says "the legend says the heroes averted the Darkest Day so it's possible Zamazenta or Zacian will help us now", Sonia liked that idea "sounds good". She revved up the engine put when she put in gear the car didn't start and to make things worse the agents arrived and Hop sarcastically says "perfect just what we needed" but Sonia informs him "we'll see you'd better gang on tight" she puts it in gear again and begins to start driving towards the agents while sounding her horn making them get out the way and for her and Hop to escape. The agents become furious in one of them says "AFTER THEM" and the others agreed "right".
Meanwhile at Hammerlock Stadium a worker places his hand on a scanner which opens an elevator door and as he's about to enter Leon shows up and is about to enter but the worker tries to stop him "stop Leon you need Chairman Rose's permission to enter" but Leon lies and says "Chairman Rose called for me" he then enters the elevator and though the worker believes him he grabs his phone to verify it "then I'll just make sure if you don't mind wait outside please" but Leon says "I'm sorry but there isn't time" he immediately presses a button which closes the elevator on the worker and begins to descend. Leon had a look in his eyes as if he knew something big was about to go down.
Meanwhile in the skies Ash was on his way to meet up with Hop and Sonia in at Stow-on-side but then got a call from Hop and answered, "hey Hop" and Hop question "hey Ash where are you now" and he answered, "I'm on my way to Stow-on-side I should be there soon" however Hop informs him "sorry about that we're not there anymore" Ash then halts Charizard and Hop asks again "Ash think back to the Slumbering Wield did you remember seeing a mysterious Pokémon there" and Ash replies "whoa I sure did how did you know" and Hop answers "I saw one of them too but did it look like this" Hop sends Ash a picture of the statue and Ash becomes surprised seeing this "that looks just like it" and Hop tells him "their names are Zacian and Zamazenta, it seems those Pokémon have something to do with the hero legend" Ash then becomes confused "wait the hero legend" and Hop explains "yeah the black vortex was from a Pokémon called the Darkest Day but Zacian, Zamazenta and the two heroes were able to avert Galar's destruction, anyway that's what Sonia and I are thinking" hearing all this Ash and even Pikachu were still trying to process all of this "Darkest Day and two legendary heroes" Hop then continues "and you already know about the Pokémon are suddenly starting to Dynamax and rampaging, if our theory is correct then it's all because of the Darkest Day which means it's probably been restored and is somewhere around here, but if nothing is done then Galar will come to the brink of disaster again".
Back at Hammerlock Leon enters a metal corridor and enters into the hanger he then sees a female worker alert someone "emergency halt the Galar particles injection" but another worker states "we'll never make it in time", Leon then questions "what on earth is this" he witnesses the large sphere emitting red lighting around it and then the worker states "IT'S OVERLOADED". Inside the Pokémon grows frustrated and emits a beacon which breaks straight through the roof and into the sky creating a huge vortex and scattering Galar particles in all directions.
Ash witnesses the this and becomes overwhelmed but Hop wonders what's wrong "what's up" and Ash tells him "it's a red light" and Hop asks, "where's it coming from" but Ash pulls out his phone "uh hold on, Rotom where is that" and the phone states "it's Hammerlock". Hop overheard his and figured "that might be the location of the Darkest Day" and Ash says, "if they get hit with that light more Pokémon may start rampaging, hey Hop I've gotta move" and Hop understands "got it, all right I'll look around for Zacian and Zamazenta we'll talk afterwards" Ash then agrees "okay". Ash hangs up the phone and gets ready "okay Charizard let's go" Charizard growls ready for excitement and flies towards the beacon.
Back in the hanger everyone was in shock and terror as the sphere started glowing and reacting and Leon overwhelmingly stated in his head "this must be the same light that made those Pokémon go on a rampage" the female worker mentions "if this keeps up Eternatus could escape from the hangar" Leon is then surprised to hear the name as if they knew what's inside there but the other worker gives an order "contact Chairman Rose now" and another worker obliges to that order and attempts to call him. Leon's new he was right that whatever was inside was responsible for the rampaging giant Pokémon, Eternatus grows more frustrated and begins violently attacking the chamber a lets off a powerful amount of energy breaking the whole thing apart and the shockwave was so powerful it forced everyone to shield their eyes and everything glass to shatter into pieces. As it was free Leon stood in shock as he witnessed the giant Pokémon, it was big with purple spikes forming a shell around what appears to be red energy "so that's really Eternatus".
One of the workers is in panic as he tries calling someone but they nothing good for him "haven't you gotten a hold of Chairman Rose yet" Leon then grabs his shoulder and demands to know what they are going to do "what are you doing it'll escape into the city" however the worker was just surprised to see Leon there and questioned why "what are you doing here", but Leon was more focused on how to stop Eternatus "that doesn't matter now isn't there any way to stop it" although the worker denied to practically do anything about this unless ordered to "Leon we can't do anything to Eternatus without Chairman Rose's approval" however if no one was going to stop it then Leon would have to do things himself "I don't care, Charizard go" he releases Charizard who is ready to fight Eternatus however the Pokémon just flies out of the hanger and makes it's way up to the stadium.
Outside the stadium Ash and Pikachu arrive on Charizard a witness a huge red laser blast out of the side of the wall braking it clear off Ash then thinks it must be coming from the stadium "it must be in there".
Hop and Sonia arrive at the Slumbering Wield and are currently searching for Zacian and Zamazenta, and all Hop could do was to try and call out their names "Zacian Zamazenta come out" and even Sonia pleaded for them to show themselves too "please come on out", they then stopped as they witnessed the fog forming meaning the two Pokémon were close by "the fog" Sonia released and Hop remembered "it's the same as the last time". Just then Sonia received a news alert on her phone and checked the news on what was going on, the reporter stated "here are reports from all over of Pokémon Dynamaxing against their will and then rampaging" showed footage of a Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon rampaging through the cities and towns but then showed footage of Hammerlocke stadium where Ash was seen riding Charizard then the reporter stated from her helicopter "It seems this behaviour is caused by the red light coming from Hammerlocke Stadium…" Eternatus tries blasting at Ash which causes a disturbance with the camera footage. Sonia then theorises that the events that happened all those years ago are repeating itself again "could it be the Darkest Day" and Hop comments "It looks like somebody restored it", Sonia states that were running out of time "we'd better find Zacian and Zamazenta now" and Hop pleaded from the top of his lungs "ZACIAN ZAMAZENTA COME OUT THE DARKEST DAY HAS BEEN RESTORED" Sonia also pleaded with them to show up "IF WE DON'T DO SOMETHING GALAR WILL BE DESTROYED PLEASE COME OUT" Hop continues "LIKE YOU DID ONCE BEFORE". Soon enough they then hear a sort've ghostly howl and then both Zacian and Zamazenta appeared from the shadows out of thin air, Sonia was so surprised seeing them for the first time "Zacian…Zamazenta" and Hop was just so happy to see them again "wow so you did come" the Pokémon blankly starred at them but then walked away "wait please" Hop said and Sonia added "we desperately need your help" however they both just simply disappeared into the fog without a trace but it seemed Wooloo noticed something up and went after it making Hop and Sonia go after him.
Wooloo then leads them too some sort've old monument or shrine and Sonia says, "I never knew there was a place like this here", as they walk up Hop notices something under a pile of leaves so when he brushes them away he sees that it's some sort of small tools and Hop says, "it's a sword and shield" Sonia figures out "they're the ones that appeared in the legend" and Hop agrees with her "right I'm sure of it"
Back at Hammerlocke Ash came face to face with Eternatus and realised it was the same Pokémon he saw in the plane awhile back "I remember you from when I first came to Galar" Eternatus then charged up another laser at them "QUICK DODGE IT" Charizard managed to avoid getting shot and landed onto the battlefield and ash checks if they're hurt "you guys all right" Pikachu and Charizard reassure him that they're fine. Just then Leon and his Charizard come flying out the hole in the ground and Ash was surprised to see him "Leon" and so was Leon "Ash it's you", Ash then questioned about the Pokémon "that was the Darkest Day, right…" he was then interrupted by a familiar voice "very good", they both look towards the scoreboard and was Chairman Rose standing on top of it proudly and continued to say "in the past people called it that though that was because of their fear" Leon was shocked to see him "Chairman Rose" Rose then continued explaining "but I renamed it Eternatus out of a deep and abiding reverence after all it is a vital Pokémon that generates unlimited power, but little did I realize just what unlimited power really meant". Eternatus tries escaping through a hole in the roof but is then stopped by the stadium's protection barrier and Rose continued to explain "that barrier is for protecting audiences but I didn't expect it to help me now, see Leon you and I have talked quite a lot about the future of Galar" Leon then grew frustrated by all this "THIS IS NO TIME FOR TALKING" however Rose continued to talk about his ideals "don't you see, this is all for the future of the Galar region" Leon then wanted an explanation "what does that mean" Rose then answered his question "we have learned that in the very near future Galar's energy will be depleted and I had been thinking long and hard about this problem when I came to the realization that Galar particles could be used as a new energy source" Leon became baffled by source of the power "Galar particles" and Rose explained "that's right I realized one more thing Eternatus generates limitless Galar particles, it's the Pokémon of my dreams" however Leon explains the problem "but at the end of each beam Pokémon Dynamax and then they start to rampage" Rose agrees but tells his solution "a very troubling occurrence and for that very reason I find talented Trainers like yourself and Ash then help you advance, Yes and now you will catch the revived Eternatus and then you will work hard to learn how to control it then it will do what I command" he gestures to Eternatus floating in the air who looked very unhappy with what's going on.
At the Slumbering Wield Hop takes the sword and shield then places them in his bag and Sonia asks "now what Hop" and he replies "if this sword and shield belonged to Zacian and Zamazenta they may contain hidden powers" Sonia then understands "I see and somehow that may help out with stopping the Darkest Day", Hop then suggests that they immediately take off "then let's get over to Hammerlocke" Sonia agrees "right".
Back at the stadium Chairman Rose began explaining his reasons for all this "you see my father worked down in a mine and worked night and day to feed our family by digging in the ground to find energy from earlier times but then came the tragedy of an accident and he never returned, but that's in the past too great a loss for a young boy but with Eternatus we can have unlimited energy and no child will suffer that loss again, you see I'm truly looking ahead to Galar a thousand years from now and you know I discovered you as a child and mentored you all for this moment and at this point I refuse to take no for an answer to my request". At this point Leon was fed up and would take matters into his own hands "then I will catch Eternatus" Rose proudly said "spoken like a true hero of Galar…" however Leon interrupted him and revealed his true intentions "but I'll do it only to quiet its fury, THERE HAS ALREADY BEEN GREAT LOSS I DON'T WANT TO SEE ANYMORE TRAGEDY", Rose smugly giggled and commented "how naïve". Eternatus grew more agitated and fired a powerful laser at the barrier forcing it to weaken and break allowing Eternatus to break free.
Eternatus then reached the top of Hammerlocke Stadium and started absorbing Galar Particles, the others witnessed his on the scoreboard and Rose mad with power exclaimed "the full restoration of Eternatus is near and now Leon this is your shining moment" but Leon argued "Even if it generates Galar particles Eternatus is too dangerous, yes I will catch it…THEN SEAL IT AWAY Ash let's go, they began to make their move but Rose wouldn't allow it "one moment I'm very disappointed in you both" Rose threw out his poke ball and released an orange and turquoise elephant Pokémon that looked like it was made from Steel Ash then checked the Pokedex about it "Copperajah the Copperderm Pokémon: a steel type, they came over from another region long ago and worked together with humans and were considered useful with their green skin is resistant to water, these Pokémon live in herds and their trunks have incredible grip strength, strong enough to crush giant rocks into powder" Copperajah attacked with Power Whip but Pikachu defended with Iron Tail. Leon tried to stop Ash from battling Rose "wait but Ash…" but Ash argued "remember you've gotta go and catch Eternatus" and Leon agreed "yeah you're right", Leon and his Charizard took off after Eternatus in which Ash then also sent out Donphan and Hawlucha to aid him in stopping Rose.
Rose became frustrated by what they were doing "do you intend to destroy everything I've worked hard to accomplish" but Ash angrily ranted "YOU WON'T MAKE Pokémon RAMPAGE ANY MORE THAN YOU ALREADY HAVE" Ash's Pokémon got ready to fight and were waiting for his command, Rose was insulted by this after all the hard work he put in "you have some nerve, Ferrothorn I we need some assitnace" he then sent out a Ferrothorn. All the Pokémon got ready as they were about to fight.
On the ground Sonia and Hop arrive at Hammerlocke and were on their way to the stadium "we're almost at the stadium" Sonia said but then they were halted by four agents guarding the gate. Hop questioned what to do "now what" but Sonia confidently said "charge 'em straight on and break through their line" she charged the car straight towards them making them get out the way and passed them but then told Hop "you go on ahead I'll be just fine you need to go and help your brother and Ash right now" and Hop agreed "you're right Wooloo let's go".
Hop and Wooloo head instead while Sonia tries to fend off the agents "if you're looking for a fight, I'm game Corvinknight let's go" she sends out a giant blackish purple raven Pokémon who was itching for a battle, the agents bring out their poke balls and one says "you're asking for it" they send out a Durant, a Ferroseed, an Excadrill and a huge Steelix. Just before they were about to battle voice is heard "what's all the commotion" the agents became surprised and a little scared as they saw none other than Raihan the Hammerlocke Gymleader and he states "you shouldn't go around making trouble for a lady and whatever I say goes cause I'm the Hammerlocke Gym Leader Raihan" he then sends out his Duraludon.
As Hop makes his way through the gym he's haulted by Oleana "so it's you running around with Magnolia's granddaughter playing detective" Hop annoyedly replies "you've got a problem with that Oleana" and she says "actually I do because no one gets between Chairman Rose and his dreams" Hop then frustratingly says "all I'm trying to do is stop the Darkest Day from putting all of Galar in danger" and she angrily says "THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I MEAN" she sends out her Milotic to stop him. Oleana states "the Darkest Day…I mean Eternatus has been restored and do you have any idea how much time and money Chairman Rose spent on that project" and Hop realised she was the one behind his attacks "so then you're the one who sent them to kidnap us aren't you" and she replies, "because I'm Chairman Rose's secretary his dream is my dream AND NOBODY DARES TO INTERFERE", Hop and Wooloo prepare to fight if it means getting up to Leon and Ash.
Eternatus has been restored but can Ash and Hop save Galar from Destruction, the answer is as the journey continues.
