Nico had a mission, find Tom Marvolo Riddle's Horcruxes. Riddle was a wizard that had been cheating death for more than enough times, that Thanatos and Hades had issue a quest, as he was the only demigod with powers related to death he was the one elected to do so. But that wasn't the only thing that was tasked to do, he had to find the so-called deathly hallows, Thanatos gifts to three wizards brothers that were able to cross the Styx river. And to top it all, he had to look after a teen wizard and make sure he wasn't kill, by the mad-man who had cheat death.
After the group of demigods and entourage had dissolved for lunch, he had shadow travel back to Hogwarts. He had been feeling a soul in the castle, that wasn't one of the ghosts. He was sure it was one of those Horcruxes, he just had to found out where it is hidden.
It was almost near the time the students would come back from the village when he found the Grey Lady, the elusive Helena Ravenclaw's ghost.
- Helena Ravenclaw, I, as the son of Hades, command you to tell me everything you know about Tom Riddle and his Horcrux -He ordered the ghost.
She tried to resist his powers, like every other ghost in the castle had done, and he had asked most of them by know. The only one with some information was the Bloody Baron, and it was to find the ghost in front of him.
- He was a nice boy, so charming and powerful. - she answered- At first I didn't want to tell him, but he knew how to convince people with words. My mother's diadem, that's what you are looking for. I told him where it was hidden, and he tainted with dark magic. It's here in the school, in the Room of Requirements, where everyone left the things they don't use or want anymore. Good luck in your mission son of Hades.
With that, she hovered through a wall and he couldn't follow her. But that didn't matter, he had the answer he was looking for, a step closer to finish one mission. The other would soon come back and they won't leave him alone, he will have to look for the thing at night, when the others were sleeping.
It was past midnight when Nico Di Angelo slipped out of bed, still wearing his daily clothes and shadow travelled to the seventh-floor corridor, in front of the tapestry showing Barnabas the Barmy trying to teach trolls to dance the ballet. He asked for the room where people abandoned things, a door appeared and when he opened it, he found a room bigger than the Great Hall. Luckily he could fell death and he found the diadem quicky, he decided to send his father the thing as soon as he found it. The diadem was emanating dark death magic, so he made a fire and throw the thing into it. The fire lighted black for a second and then turned off without leaving a mark behind. He knew he had succeeded, and that the horrocrux was in Hades and Thanatos hands, they would destroy everyone of them, with the one that he had sent them. One mission done, another two to go.
He was in his bed, with the curtains closed and was about to fall asleep when an incoming IM started him. Hades, God of death and riches, appeared in from of him.
- You have found an Horcrux, as you were tasked, sadly Riddle had already created a body and we are unable to kill him. -Hades said- Thanatos had told me to remind you that you had another mission to fulfil, don't forget about it. You know what is at stake.
The image disappeared, no other words were said to him. No well done son, no good work, nothing. No matter what he did, Hades didn't treat him as a loving or caring father would. His only motivation to do what he was told was because of what it was promised to him. It was wishful thinking that the Gods would keep their words, but he had hope that for once they would.
Next day he was dragged out of bed by Percy, he didn't want to get up. He had very good reasons:
1. He hated morning. He prefered darkness and nights
2. He wasn't obligated to go to any classes, he would prefer to stay on his bed all day.
3. He had been up until late at night, while everyone else was sleeping, not that he was going to tell anyone about it.
So no, he didn't want to get up, he even invoked some death warrior to get rid of whoever wanted to get him out of bed. Sadly, Percy had been in so many quest and battles that the skeletons were soon turned into dust, and him out of bed.
He was dragged through the corridors to the Great Hall by Percy. Said boy was hoping for blue pancakes for breakfast with something blue to drink. Percy Jackson was obsessed with the colour blue, he couldn't appreciate the beauty of black, or anything that wasn't blue. They arrived at the doors of the Great Hall, he was planning to take a nap in the desk during breakfast, but he couldn't. The doors were closed, and a note was stick onto in.
Dear students,
Classes had been cancelled for the day, meals will be served at the common rooms. Please stay in your common room until a new announced.
Signed: A.P.W.B. Dumbledore
So he had been drag out of bed for nothing, he was going to kill someone, probably the blue addicted boy next to him. The walk back he had to suffer through his complains about the lack of blue food and his small chances to get some for the day. As the wizards were the ones to turn his food blue and none of them was, he was almost tented to shadow travel to the Hufflepuff common room to find Tonks to shut him up. Nymphadora don't-call-that Tonks was his distant cousin, a descendant of Hades, and even though she had a loving family she understood being alone and discriminated by its own heritage. The older girl had been worrying about him as soon as she knew who his father was, she had even invited him for the Tonks family Christmas celebrations. She had been treating him as if he was her younger brother, just as Bianca had done all those years ago... He shook his head, he didn't want to think about it.

Last day had been interesting. Some friends of Zeus had joined them in the task of getting Harry to survive the Triwizard tournament. Sadly it was impossible now to get him out, she was doing to kill Dumbledore and made him suffer because of it. But at least they were people that care about Harry, and wanted to make sure that he was alright. One of the other men, former DADA teacher Remus Lupin had been doing some research and had found that the tasks revolved around the elements of nature (air, fire, earth and water) and that there were dangerous magical creatures usually in all the tasks. The man was very knowledgeable about dark creatures, and had handed Harry some books about them. After lunch was over, Zeus returned to Olympus while Harry and she spend the rest of the morning in the Shaking Shake showing Moony and Padfoot their demigod abilities, so both men knew what they could do, and when they knew what creatures the tasks involved, they could help them create a strategy.
Monday morning dawn sunny and chilly, winter already showing in the northern part of Scotland. The Gryffindor contingent was having breakfast together, the rest of the demigods were sleeping or in their house tables. Ravenclaw students were missing, which wasn't a normal thing, as they usually were the first to get up so they could go to the library before classes. There were 30 minutes till the first class of the morning when professor Flitwick got up and left the Great Hall probably to check his on missing students. No more than 5 minutes said professor came running to the Hall, and whispered something to the Headmaster. The group had already finished breakfast and, they were there just out of curiosity about the missing Ravenclaws. Dumbledore rose from the High Chair.
- Attention, please. Students return to your common room, classes are cancelled and breakfast will resume in your house. There has been an incident that needs to be resolved by all the teachers. Until new notice please remain in your common room and don't leave. Prefects see that this is followed, and make a sure that no one is missing, your head house will be in there shortly to explain the situation -He said
Some of the students were cheering, happy that there wouldn't be classes for now, but others were worried, what could cause all the teachers to cancel their classes. Perfects started to order the students under their care to their common rooms, the group got up, and followed the rest of the Gryffindors to the tower.
The Gryffindor common room was chaos when they arrived, the news really travelled fast in this school. The Fat Lady hadn't let anyone get out of the tower, and everyone knew about the cancelled classes. As Gryffindors weren't characterized as good students, most of the people were celebrating the lack of class. But a small group, maybe the more studious or the more cautious, were worried.
Professor McGonagall appeared at the door and her presence was enough to put everyone in silence.
-As most of you would probably know classes had been cancelled. - A round of applause interrupted her- Students, please, silence. As I was saying before being interrupted, classes had been cancelled. This has been caused by a certain situation that requires all the teachers to resolve. -She paused, debating about to tell or not what was going on- I sure that most of you know about the Grey Lady, the ghost of the Ravenclaw tower, well it appears that she is missing. Some Ravenclaws noticed this morning that she wasn't in their common room, as she always was, and things started from there. So until it is known what has caused her disappeared no one, and I mean no one -she said looking over Fred and George Weasley- will leave the common room. Meals will be served here by the house elves.
So there was a missing ghost, and certain son of Hades spend the previous afternoon Gods know where. This couldn't be a coincidence, there was never a coincidence when demigods where involve. He had done something to the ghost, he was the King of ghosts after all.
But she had a thing more important to think, like how she was supposed to train Harry if there were so many people in here, and they couldn't leave the tower. Some people had gone back to their dormitories, running away from the packed common room, or going back to bed. She went to her dormitory too, there were too many people down, and she couldn't think. Once up, she realized that while the corridors were surely patrolled by teachers, ghost or paintings, no one will think about students going out of the tower through the windows.
