"Well if any of our classmates have pro quirks, it's probably Todoroki, Yukimura, and Bakugou," Todoroki Shoto doesn't deign to open his eyes at that, though he is unable to block out the somewhat interesting conversation before him.

"Sure but Bakugou's always angry, so he'll never be that popular," Asui Tsuyu states matter of factly. Shoto doesn't disagree, though if a man like his father can become a hero who knows?

"What did you say?! I'll kick your ass!" Bakugou shouts, standing if the way the seat in front of Shoto's is jostled.

"See?" Asui says.

"You know we basically just met you, so it's kinda telling that we know your personality is flaming crap mixed with garbage," Says what's probably Kaminari Denki. Shoto shifts slightly in his seat, getting into a more comfortable position.

"With heroes like Endeavor making second I don't think that'll be a problem." Now, Shoto opens an eye and looks to the side, across the row at Yukimura Kenzo.

Her face is one of perfect calm, cape wrapped around herself and the invisible Hagakure Toru like a blanket to be burrowed in. Her invisible companion gives him easy access to her facial expression, a calm half smile with alert eyes.

She calls her father by his first name.

"Shut your mouth and mind your business, Raccoon Eyes!" Bakugou shouts. Shoto's eyes stay on Yukimura.

"I'm shaking in fear," She says in complete seriousness. Serious enough for Shoto to practically see the sarcasm wafting off her.

Yukimura Kaito, minor villain Metalhead known for robbery and more early on henchmenry. Shoto looked it up using his father's database, the look in her eyes made him recognize something he's only seen in his siblings and the mirror.

She couldn't know what many news sources haven't caught onto, likely she'd been speaking of Endeavor's well known attitude towards fans.

She makes eye contact with Shoto. Suddenly he isn't so sure.

"I'll kill you, Raccoon Eyes!" Bakugou shouts, and Yukimura's half smile widens to a full one, looking away from a suspicious Shoto and to the blonde haired boy.

"Please try, that suit is covered in metal and I'll never pass up some practice," Yukimura says amicably enough to only feed Bakugou's rage.

"Hey hey, we're here. Stop messing around and get ready," Aizawa-sensei states, pulling a yes sir from any who'd been talking.

Shoto keeps both eyes on Yukimura now. He wonders how effective her metal would be against his ice.

Shoto hadn't minded the fact that they'd be doing rescue. As combat oriented as his quirk is he knows that rescue is a just as important factor of heroism.

Maybe he took extra joy in the idea of excelling just because Endeavor was notoriously known to have a terrible manner in rescue situations.

Now he's just angry.

Yukimura and Hagakure had appeared beside him through the vortex, Yukimura breaking their fall by clutching the too exposed other girl above her and forcing her cape rigid enough to absorb the impact.

"You need a new costume, Toru," Yukimura states, voice and features still unmoved from the chaos. But the way she gently helps the girl to stand and checks Shoto over shows her anxiety enough. This is dangerous and the villains, adults who come forward with the intention of killing them fills him with an adrenaline filled sort of rage.

"I would've been fine, Kenzo," Hagakure argues weakly, gloves clutching what should be her upper arms.

"There's sharp rocks and debris. Now stay close." Yukimura turns to him, eyes never moving from the men taunting them in front.

Shoto makes sure to get them with ice just a dozen degrees above what would've been dry ice, and the horror and hate and fear in their eyes might be something he'll remember for a long time.

"Are you embarrassed to lose to a child? For god's sake you're adults, put up a real fight," The words drop like venom out of his mouth and his eyes are wide.

Did they think heroes in training would be so easily killed? Did they think it was acceptable to raise their fists to them?

Shoto defrosts the villains once it's clear they're about to enter hypothermia. They're unlikely to do much for at least a day, let alone interfere with them.

"We need to find the others, or at least meet up with the teachers. Any preferences?" Yukimura asks.

"We should find the others. You two are the class's biggest powerhouses, they might need help," Hagakure says coming forward to stand beside Yukimura rather than behind.

"That's sound. We help those in the nearby mountain area, then?" Shoto asks. Yukimura nods.

"Sound like a plan, once we've helped them then we loop back to the main entrance. That blue haired fucker had metal hands on him, it would be very easy to tighten them," Yukimura states, then starts walking. Her cape flares behind her.

Shoto and Hagakure follow at the same pace, climbing quickly towards the sound of fighting nearby.

"I'm sorry that I don't have much use here," Hagakure says, gloves clasped on her arms in what must be her tell for anxiety or fear.

"The moment we have a need for recon, trust me, we will. Just because you can't do destruction at Will doesn't mean you aren't dangerous," Yukimura says quieter than she usually speaks, reaching over and laying a gentle gloved hand on Hagakure's shoulder.

Hagakure must nod by the way Yukimura's hand moves.

"You can't fight us off forever, kids!" A woman shouts very close by. Shoto exhales frost.

Yukimura walks upon the scene first though, raising her hands upwards and with them all the villain but one.

"I could crush each and every one of you with a clench of my fist," Is murmured in a quiet voice but projected regardless. Yaoyorozu Momo, Jiro Kyoka, and Kaminari Denki's heads snap to Yukimura's form, all filled with relief.

With a shift of her hand a metal weapon wraps around the last villain and lifts her into the air with her shouting and struggling.

She forces them into a wriggling but upright ball. "If you'd please, Todoroki?"

Shoto happily obliges, freezing them into place, metal and all.

"I'm glad to see you three unharmed," Yaoyorozu states, lowering her staff.

"Ditto, that shit was terrible ," Kaminari says, slumping and looking warily at the still shouting group of subdued villains.

Shoto is becoming more and more convinced that these criminals are mere distractions. They're untrained and unworthy of even them, first year UA students.

Shoto has been distracted before by having two others to worry about, but now?

Shoto steps up ominously to the thugs.

"If I leave you like this your cells will slowly succumb to hypothermia and death. Luckily for you, I'm becoming a hero. I'll defrost you if you tell me how you plan to kill All Might."

They don't argue.

"One of your poorly trained thugs told me you're here to kill All Might," Shoto says, staring the real villains in front of him down.

All Might frees himself, and Midoriya Izuku asks if he's alright.

"The Symbol of Peace will not be defeated by delinquents like you," Shoto says as he mentally notes their numbers.

All Might, Midoriya, Yukimura, Bakugou and Kirishima Eijiro. Those odds are unbeatable.

Yukimura stands close beside him, not making her move yet apparently. She's awake and alert though, her expression sharp with something he hasn't seen on her before.

"Kurogiri, how could you let this beat get the best of you? You've gotten us into a real jam, here," The blue haired villain states.

Bakugou scoffs at him, and Shoto hopes Yukimura is helping keep that metal down.

Bakugou explains and insults and Shoto keeps the information on the villain noted and ready should he need to handle him.

"They escaped uninjured and captured my two strongest men. Kids these days really are amazing, they make the League of Villains look like amateurs. Can't have that." The blue man turns.

"Nomu." The creature Shoto kept in place moves out of the portal and parts of his body break off. Midoriya says something over the rushing blood in Shoto's ears and he knows All Might said to stay back.

The displaced limbs regenerate before him and Shoto feels a cold sort of horror.

"Regeneration. Todoroki, do you have fire powers?" Yukimura hisses in Shoto's ear, the most emotional and panicked he's heard her.

No. He- he won't use that. Not his father's power.

"Don't you dare lie to me, our entire class could die right now. If you incinerate him he can't regenerate." Shoto feels his throat begin to close up and nausea in the pit of his stomach, staring at the monster before them.

"Go, Young Todoroki, Young Yukimura!" All Might shouts, but Yukimura has a vice grip on his arm and even without that Shoto can't move.

If he doesn't do this, could All Might die?

"If it's because of your father then we don't have time for that. I use my abusive piece of shit father's quirk every day, and every time I do something good with it I can feel his soul shrivel up. You can do this. I'll hold the other two back, just do it!" It's frantic whispering and it isn't exactly inspiring. Shoto realizes numbly that in life or death situations things rarely are the sort of speeches he's seen All Might give.

Blue man gives a sort of choked cry of confusion, hands scratching at the hands on his neck. In a sudden panic flame bursts to life on Shoto's right and smacks into the monster.

It's unfamiliar and uncontrolled after a month of not being used but it's oh so ready to consume and burn.

All Might shouts in surprise, but Shoto's focused on incinerating and not setting the girl beside him aflame. He's less concerned for the seemingly indestructible All Might and the 'League of Villains'.

The Nomu burns and burns and burns, but once Shoto is panting and the other two villains have already sent themselves away in a portal it's clear it's dead.

Shoto decides that he is not going to tell his father shit about this, and especially not even acknowledge his comments about his fire.

Kenzo Yukimura has never been more scared in both her lives, and she still remembers what dying feels like.

Will this ruin the plot? She can't remember. She doesn't think it will? At least she's kickstarted Todoroki's road to recovery.

Jesus Christ has she just ruined the Deku and Todoroki friendship? God she doesn't want this to end up creating a weird crush in Todoroki's head at some point. She's not dating children, let alone people so much less emotionally mature.

A big hand snaps in front of her face, so she looks up and out of her internal panic.

It's All Might. He's smiling but definitely concerned.

"That was both foolhardy and some very quick thinking, Young Yukimura," He says. Kenzo tries to figure out if she's being reprimanded or praised.

"I'd rather be foolhardy and have you alive than run away and have you not," She states, voice coming out composed and calm.

Her Ma is not going to like her story about what happened at school today, she's not gonna like it at all.

' Dear Kaito, you piece of garbage.

Just sending my monthly letter and pictures of metal things you can't have. I even propped up your bat to look real nice next to the house's knife drawer!

Ever sad that you can't send replies, not allowed to touch pens after the incident. I do enjoy the updates the warden gives me though. He finds me endearing. Very sad that you don't, though. I'll have to tell my court mandated therapist about it the moment the court finally gives me that therapist.

I sent the yakuza man you hate so much some more cookies, if you see them being eaten.

One final thing. I heard you got to see me on the news the other day. I'm glad you got to see, imagining your internal rage has fueled me.

You're daughter who you find a disappointment,

Yukimura Kenzo. '

Kaito finds it almost humorous how similar they are. Kenzo would never admit it, never admit how close she is to becoming him if her morals relaxed.

Kaito spots the cookies at breakfast that morning.
