Alexander and Jessica leave after ten minutes . Tomorrow is the visiting day and my grandma's funeral. I take out the iPad which David gives me . I forget some of the thing that he told me but I still remember that I have to be inserted to another city after a year and half from now on.

I will become abnegation born instead of dauntless but I will still be ending up in dauntless . I love dauntless and that will be no problem for me to choose dauntless

I open the iPad and a journal comes right up ahead .

"Dear David :

I am sorry that I can't come back as you want so I will give my first daughter Delia birth in Detroit where I was born . Please tell her that I and her father are both dead so she will not come out and looking for us . I truly love Chicago and I love my husband . I also love Delia but she is better staying away from us as long as she can . Please protect her .

She is my mom? She can't come back? Come back to where? So I am really left here by her . My parent are in other city called Chicago?

I put the iPad down. I don't need to read anymore . Maybe it is the best choice for me to go and see them and to know why I have to do my mission.

I lay down and close my eyes to sleep. I wake up the second day, I go into washroom to wash up .

My head is extremely dizzy from yesterday but I know that is from the memory serum. Memory serum is for abnegation. They give to those people who go past the fringe .

I only know that is the way our city founder has to protect us against from what is outside the city but now I know that outside city isn't dangerous .

I finished washing and dressed up in my black cloth . This is the uniform for when we attend a funeral. We don't celebrate death here but we have small ceremony where people can cry and sob for those of people who are dead .

I sneak out the room. I have to go to the dormitory to inform something to those initiates who are waiting for their parent to come . Even I know that my parent are still alive but my grandma is the only family who left behind for me .

I feel heavy from the sleep but I try to wake myself up. Finally I walk to the dorm , I feel that it takes me longer than usual walking time .

"So today is your visiting day. I suspect that any of your parent will come . If by any surprised that they come , I suggest don't be to attach to them. It will get easy for you and easy for them as well." I say coldly. "So now you guys may go."

Initiates are passing me . Jessica and Jennifer look at me a long time . Alex and Jason are now good friends.

"Mind coming with us together? I know that you don't have any family members remained now ." Jason invites me

"Where are you guys going ." I ask

"Go get something to eat. They have chocolate cake today." Alex eyeing me

I nod at them. Three of us walk beside each other . Alex wraps his arm around Jason's shoulder and both of them laugh.

"Did you ever saw your parent before ?" Alex says

"No , they are all dead before I knew anything. That's what my grandma told me ." I bite my lips . I can't be Candor because I just lied too easily.

"Alex , stop being rude ." Josh stands beside the rock wall. "Don't make our instructor sad."

Alex gives me a sour look. Josh is very likely to be friend with Joshua .

"It's fine Josh . Just go and check out your parent ." I wave at him

"They may not come ." Josh shakes his head

"What if they do come at all, just go check." I am annoyed

We walk to the cafeteria . Dauntless initiates and parent are sitting together eating cake

"Morning Delia ." Joshua waves at me . He is sitting with Alexander and Jessica . "Mom made scramble eggs."

"You are calling her mom now ? I thought you never call her that." Alexander is surprise

"If you didn't revenge on her because she made you jealous, then you will never adopted me . I bet dad ." Joshua rolls his eyes . "Anyway, mom is pretty. Who doesn't want to have a pretty mom."

Jessica looks at me . When joshua mentioned mom, I shiver . I don't even know how my mom looks like

"Joshua stops ." Jessica shakes her head

"I am sorry Delia ." Joshua lowers her head

"Whoopy ." Edward jumps next to me . "Instructor alert."

Edward is always very naughty. I laugh a little

"Stop Edward ." I smack his arm

"It's hurt." Edward screams . "I just punch something ."

"You were training?" I narrow my eyes. "Much more muscle."

Edward is blushing. I know that he is shy.

"Yeah I am training my self because I have a crushed ." Edward winks at me

"Wa a crushed . On who? Delia?" William laughs

"Shut up erudite ." Edward snorts. "I hate erudite for this reason."

William is stunned . I punch Edward's arm.

"Hey he is dauntless . He is with us . No insult of my initiates ." I say.

"Fine I am sorry." Edward sits between me and Jason. "I have a crushed on Jennifer that girl ."

Jennifer is from Candor . She is Bobby's daughter

"You want to go after Bobby's daughter ?" I cover my mouth

"Yeah she is pretty. Isn't she ?" Edward smiles

"Yeah , I will help you but don't go to forcibly okay?" I say

He nods at me . I start to eat my cake . I don't taste the cake and I just swallow it hard . Hard enough that in early choke on it.

"Are you okay!" Jessica comes near me . "I may need to go to hospital again. I feel sick."

I accompany her to hospital and doctor said that she is fine with it but the gender of the babies are sure :one girl and one boy. Nice shot Alexander . Well, I guess that he has good genes .

David told me about genetic pure and damaged but I don't really believe in those. Afternoon is my grandma's funeral and I should be there with them.

Grandma's body is in a cavern and everyone are silent. No one are drinking and that is the way dauntless paying their full respect.

My tears are coming from my eyes . I see my mom's journal . She never mention my grandma . What kind of relationship do they have ? Will I have chance to ask her not. I don't know .

"I love you grandma ." I cry

"Your grandma will always love you." Jessica hugs me . "I am sure she will."

"Thank you Jessica ." I hug her back . "You are my best friends from dauntless"

Linda and Elizabeth are standing pretty far behind . They are spotting me . Then in the end , they slowly put my grandma's tomb into the chasm to bury with the roar of the water .

We believe the god exist there somewhere so grandma can Rest In Peace . I sit above the chasm. Basically now I am orphan for everyone . People come to comfort me and I let them. After everyone are gone , Jason is the only one who is left.

"Are you okay Delia?" Jason sits beside me .

He is throwing a stone into the chasm. The chasm is so deep that we can't even hear the sound .

"I am fine Jason." I clear my throat. "Can I have your shoulder for a minute?"

"Sure , come on. My shoulder is always for you." Jason nods at me

I lean on his shoulder . He wraps his arm around me

"I saw my instructor yesterday. He wasn't dead ." I close my eyes . "He left because he wanted to protect me."

"Why ? Why does he thinks that you want to be protected ." Jason is wandering.

"The first day when you asked what is that word mean? Why do you think that I know it is dangerous ?" I sit straight. "Two conditions : either I am that or my relative was one of them."

Jason is silent. He holds my hand . He is thinking

"I know that Delia . Can you promise me . Don't leave me or fake your death like him even you think that is to protect me ? I will be devastated ." Jason is crying. "I have no one for me ."

"You have your friends ." I hug him. "I promised ."

I am sorry Jason. I will have to do this . I can't risk your life . I will be too selfish to do that.

"Really? You promised me ?" Jason grabs my face

"Yes I promise you . You are my initiate and I will never leave you alone ." I smile at him

Someone is coughing behind us . I turn around and see Joshua is standing behind me.

"Mike's secretary calls that he wants to see you after two weeks from today." Joshua says . "Basically the middle of the second stage training. He will come to dauntless to discuss something with you."

"Okay , let him come . Just give me a specific time ." I say coldly. I wander why he wants to see me .

"It is about one of your initiate." Joshua says

Did Mike finds out that Jason is divergent? It can't be because I delete all his footage .

"Okay." I say

Joshua leaves and I shiver . Please don't be Jason. It can be anyone but not him.

"You are sweating." Jason touches my forehead . "It is quiet cool here."

"I am just nervous . I wasn't on any of official mission yet as an ambassador ." I say

"You will be the best ambassador that we have here ." Jason encourages me

"Thank you for believing me . Now you should go back to the dorm ."
