Authors Note - This chapter will be a bit different. Occasionally I'll be adding chapters like this every five to six normal chapters. This will mainly either be Naruto or Ino's point of view. Since their relationship with Sakura is a bit closer than others.

Current Time - Konohagakure

2 Hours after Sakura's disappearance

Ino sighed, glancing at the empty seat in front of her. Sakura and her had planned a little get together after her shift today. Yet the pinkette still wasn't here. Of course, that wasn't unusual. Sakura tended to work herself overtime. But Ino's stomach felt off, the longer she stared.

Standing up, she placed down a few coins to pay for the three drinks she had ordered while waiting. Before turning around and leaving the small establishment.

It was already dark. So not many people busied the streets. Leaving Ino to walk in silence towards the hospital. The Yamanaka's mind drifted, Sakura had promised to be on time today. Even going as far as to schedule her patients and surgeries on other dates. Seeing as Ino and her barely got to hang out as it is.

Frowning, Ino comes up to the front doors of the hospital, peeking her head inside. Her eyes catch the front receptionist, whose eyes light up in recognition.

"You're here for Dr. Haruno? She should be in her office." The woman says, and Ino nods her head in thanks. Smiling at the woman as she makes her way down the hallway.

Luckily, Sakura was given an easy assessable office. Which meant less walking for Ino. Knocking once, than twice, the blonde still receives no answer. "Sakura?" Ino calls out, chewing on the inside of her check.

Even then, she receives yet another no answer. Just complete and utter silence. Rolling her eyes, she grabs the knob of the door and turns. Watching it open with ease, unlocked.

What Ino finds is quite unusual. Sakura is not at her desk. But her to-go bag is packed, the lamp onher filing cabinet on as well. Her papers and reports are even neatly stacked and signed. Like she was about to leave. Ino walks around the small room, noting that her white coat is hanged neatly on the back of her chair.

"Where could you be?" Ino grumbles, pausing in her steps.

Coming up with nothing, Ino turns and exits Sakura's office. Walking back down to where the receptionist was stationed. The woman raises a brow at her appearance.

"Did Sakura leave at all? She wasn't in her office." Ino asks.

The receptionist tilts her head at the question, before shaking her head no. "She hasn't passed by yet all day. Perhaps she is working with a patient?" The woman supplies.

Ino's brow furries. "She said she moved all her patients today. Mentioned that she only had paperwork." Ino mumbles, loud enough for the woman to hear.

"oh well, I'll go check somewhere else. Thanks though." Ino dismisses herself, waving at the confused woman before turning and leaving the hospital.

Ino leaves with one more problem, the blonde can already feel the headache coming. Perhaps Naruto, or the Hokage would be able to help. Hadn't Kakashi been Sakura's Sensei? Ino thought, making her way towards the Hokage tower.

Eventually she arrives, nodding her head at the Shinobi stationed around the building. Already known within the ranks- seeing as she worked higher up in the podium.

"I'm surprised your here, Ino." A voice drawled from her side. The blonde turned, coming face-to-face with her lazy teammate and friend Shikamaru.

"Shika, what are you doing here? And what do you mean surprised you idiot!?" Ino exclaimed, eye twitching.

Shikamaru sighed, which seemed to further irritate Ino. Was the Nara saying she couldn't be here for an important reason? She could be serious! Urgh! The nerve of that boy. Ino fumed inside her head.

"Woman." Shikamaru grumble, hands pulling out of his pants pockets.

"I thought you were with Sakura. Girls night, is what you screamed at me and Choji." Shika offered, one of his brows raised in question.

His words calmed the raging storm within Ino, who seemed to remember the reason she was here to begin with. Sakura.

"Oh. Yeah. She didn't show up, and she's not at her office." Ino replied, frowning.

"Could she be home? Maybe she was tired." Shikamaru offered. Of course his question seemed valid, but her gut instinct screamed something was off.

"Her bag was still in the office, and the receptionist even said she hadn't seen her leave. I'm just worried. I was hoping the Hokage might have an idea seeing as he was her Sensei." Ino supplies, shrugging hopelessly.

Shikamaru paused, before coming up to walk beside her. Ino chewed on the inside of her cheek, thankful despite how annoying she found Shika. He was always willing to be there.

The two come up to the tower, checking in and walking up the stairs until the two appeared before the door to the Hokages office. Ino knocked, and waited patiently until a loud 'enter' was heard from the other side.

Shikamaru opened the first first, walking in alongside Ino. She blinked when she noticed Naruto, Hinata, and Sai all geared up. The Hokage leaned back in his chair, raising a brow at the two.

"What's the matter, Ino, Shikamaru?" Kakashi asked.

Naruto tilted his head, peering behind Ino before furrowing his brows. "NeƩ, Ino? Where's Sakura?" Naruto asks, cutting Kakashi off.

"That's why I'm here. I can't find Sakura." Ino blurts out, stepping forward. Her words cause Naruto to burst aloud, talking a mile and minute until Kakashi shushes the loud boy.

"Hinata, stay. Shikamaru, Sai- if you two do not need anything else, please excuse us." Kakashi instructs, turning to the two boys.

Sai and Shikamaru both leave eventually, leaving Ino, Hinata, and Naruto alone in the room with Kakashi. Ino shuffles in her spot awkwardly, shoulders tense with worry for her friend.

Kakashi directs his attention back fully to Ino. "I want a full report. Don't leave out anything, this might be no big deal or it could be a potential missing persons report." He says.

Ino gulps at the implication, nodding her head. Thankfully Hinata is there, giving her shoulder a reassuring squeeze. And even Naruto keeps quiet, waiting.

"We planned to meet and have dinner and drinks. Tonight, at seven. Sakura had moved all her patients and surgeries for tomorrow, which left her with paperwork. Or atleast, that's what she told me when we were talking yesterday." Ino starts, choosing her words wisely.

"When she didn't arrive, I dismissed it thinking she was probably running late. A few drinks later, about two hours... she still wasn't there. And I was worried. So I went up to the hospital. The receptionist said she was probably in her office. So I went up to check." She breaths slowly, her voice a tad shakey.

"Her lamps were still on, like she had been in there. Her paperwork was stacked and completed off to the side as well. Even her white coat was folded and placed on the back of the chair." Ino said.

Before she could continue, Naruto cut her off.

"Could she be home?" The blonde asks, and Ino narrows her eyes.

"Look, her to-go bag was still there in the office. She never leaves without it. It has antidotes and is basically a large med kit. She... she wouldn't have gone home without it." Ino grits out, hand coming up to rub her eyes.

Why was she crying? Sakura was just missing. It couldn't be worse than that. Ino thought, shaking her head.

"Hinata, care to check?" Kakashi asked, turning his head to gaze at the Hyuga. Ino watched carefully, as Hinata's Byakugan came to life.

The purple-haired girl turned her head, peering past the walls of the Hokage tower. Seconds passed before her Byakugan disappeared, and the girl shook her head.

"I can't find her chakra. Not at her house either." The Hyuuga murmured. And Ino's heart dropped in her chest.

"I see, we might need to bring Senju Tsunande here for this as well. If it is indeed true, then Sakura Haruno is missing." Kakashi says, but Ino noticed with pinch in his brows as he speaks.

"That's stupid! Why would Sakura go missing?! Unless someone kidnapped her!" Naruto exclaimed, throwing his hands around frantically until Hinata touched his shoulder- grounding the Uzumaki.

Kakashi shook his head. "All we can do at the moment, is sleep and wait for tomorrow. Tsunande and Sakura both share the same summons, perhaps we can get a lead on her that way." Kakashi suggested.

Ino chews her lip. How would she be able to sleep knowing her best friend was probably missing or worse?

"I'll send out a raven. Until then-" Kakashi pauses, pointing to Naruto.

"No going off on your own. I need you to stay in the village. Got that?" Kakashi narrows his eyes as the blonde nods.

"yeah, yeah! Got it Sensei." Naruto grumbles in reply.

Ino makes eye contact with Hinata, who looks a tad exasperated, shaking her head at Naruto's obvious behavior.

"Now, you three are dismissed." Kakashi says, waving the three away. Ino is the first to turn around, walking out the room, trying her best to control her tears as she leaves the building.

Her mind wonders to Sakura, before she shakes her head and grounds herself back to reality. She needed some drinks, a lot of drinks before Ino could get any ounce of sleep tonight.
