Authors Notes- Once again I return with yet another chapter to Victims Of Fate. As you can gather by now I don't own Transformers that belongs to Hasbro. I do, however own Joyride, Vortex, Killshot, Lunatic, and last but not least Max. As well as the plot. Now that we got that out of the way here is Chapter Seven to Victims Of Fate. I hope you enjoy.

Chapter Seven: The Autobots.

Killshot's spark fluttered behind his chestplate as he and Lunatic followed behind Bumblebee and his fleshy pet into the heart of the Autobot occupied base. They were going to meet the one and only Lord Prime. Most Autobots had never in all their lives laid optics on the Autobot leader, or any who worked directly under him, and yet Killshot and Lunatic were being given that very honor. The mute Autobot glancing at Lunatic from the corner of his optic. Seeing that his long time partner seemed just as eager as him.

The trio soon came to a stop at a large door, their faces impassive. The last thing they wanted was Lord Prime thinking they were nothing more than a couple of braindead morons if he saw them grinning and starry eyed in his presence. Killshot and Lunatic were skilled professionals, and they would like the Autobot leader to see that. And if their luck played out they would find a place here among Lord Prime's most loyal men. Both of them stood their silently as the doors slid open, and the yellow scout looked over his shoulder at them, as they stepped into the darkened room.

Lunatic was silent as he and Killshot continued to keep their gazes forward, they didn't dare look away. Lord Prime was known for his short temper and lack of patience. They had all heard the stories of what happened to those to dared failed him. Both of them suppressing a shiver as a pair of cold, blue optics staring out at them from the darkness, optics narrowing.

"These are the Autobot hunters I encountered while scouting the area." Bumblebee turned fully to them. "This is Killshot and Lunatic." He said gesturing to each of them.

Lord Prime looked from Bumblebee to the two Autobots. The two of them tensing as the Autobot leader moved towards them. Cold, blue optics looking them up and down, a scowl etched on the larger mechs faceplate.

"I've heard of you two." Lord Prime said after a long while, his voice as cold as his optics. It sent shivers down both of their spinal struts as he said this.

The two of them watching him as he circled them, hands clasped behind his back as he looked them up and down once more. "You two are responsible for countless Neutrals and Autobot deserters joining the Autobot cause. As well as extinguishing the sparks of many Decepticons." Lord Prime continued. Now there was a faint smile on his faceplate, as he moved to stand before them once more. "And now you have arrived on Earth."

Silence permeated the darkened room.

"You may speak." Lord Prime said. "How did you arrive here? Tell me everything."

Lunatic tensed slightly as he said this. "We were pursuing a Neutral that managed to slip our grasp when the Decepticons interfered. And now we're trapped here on this planet. Ready to serve your every wish, Lord Prime." Lunatic said, dropping to one knee, Killshot following suit.

Optics glued on the Autobot leader looming before them. Lord Prime then turned his cold gaze to Killshot.

"Have you nothing to say?" Lord Prime growled.

"My Lord, Killshot is..." Lunatic trailed off, looking to the yellow and grey mech briefly. "Mute."

Lord Prime's optics narrowed as he looked to Killshot. Then without another word he turned his back to him, optics fixed on Bumblebee, before looking over his shoulder at them. "An Autobot that cannot speak. Well, no matter I'm pleased to have you among us. And now that you are you will do well to serve under me and help exterminate the Decepticon resistance."

"As you wish my Lord." Lunatic said bowing once more.

Lord Prime hummed seemingly satisfied with his new troops as he turned to Bumblebee again. "Take them to their quarters." He ordered the scout.

Bowing Bumblebee turned to the other two Autobots, walking past them he looked over his shoulder, before gesturing that they should follow him. Wasting to time they got to their feet and followed after him. Silene falling over the three of them as they walked down the darkened halls. Neither Lunatic or Killshot saw anyone else as they walked. Obviously the rest of the Autobots were out on various missions.

Killshot looked around at the grungy halls, noting claw marks and dried stains that looked like dried energon stained the walls. A sure sign that there had been a fight or several that occurred here. Whether against the Decepticons or against fellow Autobots Killshot didn't know. But he knew that Autobots often fought amongst themselves for various reasons.

Unlike those bleeding sparks, the Decepticons the Autobots weren't known for their for their kindness even amongst themselves. Killshot knew that more than one fellow Autobot had their sparks extinguished by one of their own. Tempers sometimes flared it would seem, and sometimes there needed to be no motivation behind fights, sometimes Autobots just didn't get along. Giving his head a shake Killshot continued on, until they rounded a corner. One of the many the mute Autobot noted as he glanced over his shoulder before glancing at Lunatic.

The red and black Autobot looked lot in thought as he often did during these quiet times. But now Killshot's long time companion looked a little...apprehensive. Though if Killshot really thought about it he really couldn't blame him. For as long as Killshot had known him Lunatic had always dreamed of fighting along side his lord and master, Optimus Prime. And now it seem his dream was coming true. And because of that Killshot could also understand why he seemed so nervous. The last thing anyone wanted was to mess up before their leader. Lord Prime wasn't known for his mercy or his patience. And Primus have mercy on anyone who dare fail him. Killshot had once heard a rumor that anyone who failed him were never seen or heard from again.

He had no idea what had happened to them but Killshot wasn't too keen on failing their leader anyways. The mech was soon jerked from his thoughts when they came to a stop in front of a door. Bumblebee typed something into the pinpad by the door. A loud beep sounding accompanied by the door sliding open. Bumblebee look to them. "These will be your quarters during your stay." The scout said, gesturing to the room.

Killshot nodded his thanks to the younger Autobot as he stepped past him. Lunatic following after him.

"Oh, and first thing tomorrow you two will be assigned an energon scouting mission. So, try not to sleep in, Lord Prime will be less than pleased if you do." And with that bit of information the door slid closed, obscuring the yellow Autobot from their view.

An energon scouting mission!? Killshot thought, blinking as he looked up at Lunatic.

Lunatic looked to Killshot as if reading his mind, a look of understanding etched on his faceplate. To them energon scouting missions were a bore, and a complete waste of their talents. But neither of them would dare question their orders. If they had been ordered to go energon scouting then they would do just that. If they were ordered to hunt down Decepticons and rogue Autobots alike then they would do just that. If Lord Prime ordered Killshot to extinguish Lunatic's or any other Autobots spark he would do that without any hesitation. And he knew Lunatic would do the very same. They would live and die so that Lord Prime could accomplish his goal, and wipe the Decepticon threat once and for all.

Giving his head a shake Killshot looked around their shared room, noting that the only thing it seemed to have was two recharge berths, and a small chipped and dented desk. It would seem that they didn't give their troops much in the way of furniture. Not like they needed much anyways. They had left Cybertron with nothing but their trusty weapons and a few meagre energon cubes with them. And then when this war was finally won...Killshot plopped down on the edge of his berth. They would leave this mudball the same way.

"Today has certainly been interesting, huh?" Lunatic asked, killing the silence, making Killshot frown slightly.

As much as he respected Lunatic there were times when he wished the other mech would just leave him to his thoughts. Nodding Killshot watched as his partner took a seat across from him. One of his cherished blades clutched in his hands, the energy weapon glowing faintly in the dark room.

"Though I will admit I never thought chasing down one little Neutral would land us here. Talk about luck, huh partner?" Lunatic smirked as he looked to Killshot.

In all the excitement Killshot had almost forgot about about the lone Neutral they had been hunting. Images of the mech in question flashing through Killshot's exhausted. And as he lay down, and slowly drifted off to recharge he sincerely hoped he would run into the Neutral again. Killshot so hated to leave things unfinished...

I hope we meet again. He thought as his optics offlined. And when we do I hope you keep things interesting for me as I extinguish your spark. As he thought that he drifted off into a deep recharge. Dreams of Cybertron and the future filling his head.

He needed to get out of here. Starscream thought, hissing through his denta as his shoulders ached. The Decepticon SIC against the restraints that kept him trapped here. His hands bound above his head by energy restraints. And pain radiated from his ruined wings. But to poor Starscream that had been nothing new. He was certain that if he ever got out of here he would probably never fly again. Even with the help of the ever talented Knock Out. A pang of sorrow gripping the seeker as he thought about Megatron and his fellow Decepticons. Oh how, he wished he had never volunteered to go on this mission for Megatron.

Starscream sighed as he looked up at the cracked ceiling. Remembering Soundwave telling him and Megatron of the Decepticon distress beacon. And how Dreadwing had voiced his concerns, to the overly eager Vortex, that it might be a trap as the youngster called out that he wanted to volunteer. And now that he thought back to it Starscream wished he had taken Dreadwing's concerns to heart. But, at the time the thought of more Decepticons falling victim to those Autobots was too much. Sure, Starscream had been cautious when Megatron had finally ordered him and his armada out to the location. But, apparently that wasn't enough.

As before Starscream knew it his armada had been blown to scrap, and Starscream had soon found himself cornered by Arcee and Cliffjumper. Days soon melted into months since Starscream found himself here, alone. With no idea of whether Megatron or any of his Decepticon friends still lived. Or how their fight with the Autobots was fairing. He knew that Optimus still lived, the Autobot leader coming by every once in a while to speak with the seeker. Other times he was visited by Ratchet or Ultra Magnus. These encounters often left him worst for wear. And Starscream couldn't take much more of this, cracks were forming in his mind, it wouldn't be long before he finally snapped...and Primus only knew what would happen then. Shaking his head Starscream couldn't bring himself to think like that.

So, here he was alone once more. The darkness his only friend. And as he sat here he vowed that he would not break, that he would make his escape. And as he thought this the door to his prison slid open. Bright light spilling in as a couple of Vehicon soldiers stepped in.

"Rise and shine, Screamy." The first one spoke. As it moved towards Starscream. Undoing the restraints on his wrists. "The good doctor would like to see you."

A chill ran down Starscream's spinal strut at those words. Ratchet. One of the few Autobots no sane Decepticon ever wanted to be around. And for a very good reason, Ratchet was insane. And Decepticon her or on Cybertron hadn't heard of the horrific experiments the old Autobot had conducted on Decepticon prisoners during the war. And now, here on Earth? That was no different, however this time Ratchet had added humans to his list of things to torture. However, when Ratchet wasn't conducting sick experiments he also assisted in extracting information from prisoners in horrifying ways.

And now, Starscream seemed to be his next victim. But despite that, and the various injuries he had suffered at the hands on the Autobots he refused to break. Staring straight ahead he paid no attention to the Vehicons as he stepped out of his prison, and followed after them quietly to Ratchet's med lab.

"I hear you're giving the good doctor quite the challenge, Screamy." The second Vehicon said, jabbing his blaster into Starscream's back, making him stumble. "Most 'Cons would have either cracked or have died by now. Hell, I've heard of some Autobots giving in long before you. I guess this is why ol' Megs chose you as his SIC."

Starscream said nothing as he walked down the darkened corridors. A plan already forming on his mind. Today he would escape the nightmare, and find away to reunite with his fellow Decepticons. No longer would he suffer at the hands on the Autobots. Nodding to himself he continued on. All he had to do was bide his time...

Authors Notes- And thus concludes Chapter Seven of Victims Of Fate. I figured I'd have this chapter revolving around the Autobots Killshot and Lunatic, since I haven't really given them much screen time. But never less I hope you enjoyed. And I'll try and get the next chapter up soon...hopefully. And this is The Exhausted Writer signing off. Have a good day!
