Chapter 6

The Precinct, 6:30am the next day

Detective Inez Analdo was an early riser. It seems so were Detectives Ryan and Esposito when seeing them coming from the breakroom.

"Coffee," Ryan enquired when spotting her. "Let me get it," Espo said doing a U-turn back to the breakroom, returning minutes later and setting a steaming cup down on her desk.

"You know I can get my own coffee," Analdo stated.

"We know but this is from Castle's special stash," Ryan replied, "that's why we come in early. To make a pot of it before him and Beckett arrive."

Analdo raise her cup and took a sip. "Wow," she clamoured, "that is good."

"Castle says it's made in France, has it shipped in special for him, that you can't buy it anywhere in the U.S."

The Loft

Kate flopped down on Rick's chest having just experienced her second orgasm of the morning. "Are we going for a three-peat this morning, Mr. Castle," she whispered into his ear before pulling on his earlobe.

"Yes we are Mrs. Castle, but I think we'll do round three in the shower while I soap down that magnificently gorgeous body of yours," he replied as he nibbled on her neck.

"Then let's get started," she squealed pushing herself off him and sprinting to the ensuite, Rick hot on her dazzlingly beautiful butt.

The Precinct

At precisely 8am Beckett exited the elevator onto the homicide floor carrying with her a cup of her favorite coffee but no bearclaw. She hated cold pastries. It was the one secret Rick has kept from her. How he kept them warm. She could hear babbling coming from the bullpen so headed there where she saw Ryan writing on a new murder board while Analdo and Esposito discussed aspects of their current cases. "What you guys up to?" she asked.

"Updating," Espo answered.

"We brought in a second board in order to separate the two cases, then adding everything we know or suspect," Analdo told her.

"We'll update it again when Fuller and Rhymer get back from Atlantic City," added Ryan.

"Hoping to find a link," Beckett stated.

"Correct," the three detectives spouted in unison.

Just then a huge growl erupted from Espo's stomach. "Hungry there partner," Ryan chuckled.

"I know I could go for something to eat," Analdo said.

"Come on, Beatrice's is just across the street," Espo said.

"Tell her to put in Castle's tab," Beckett told them.

"You're not coming, Cap," Ryan stated.

"No. I've got a video conference with 1PP at nine I have to get ready for. You guys enjoy yourselves." She then turned and proceeded to her office.

Following a free (thanks to Castle) and fabulous breakfast the three detectives returned to the task of updating their cases, when Analdo's phone rang. "Analdo," she said in answering.

"It's Rhymer," the caller said. Analdo immediately put the phone on speaker. "Thought I'd call and give you a brief report on what we've learned here."

"Great," Analdo replied opening up her folder in order to take notes. "I have you on speaker, so Ryan and Espo can listen in," she continue."

"Not much new on Sullivan except he made trips to Manhattan every couple weeks to check on how the security work is progressing. He had a girlfriend, a Nadine Espinosa. She worked in the hotel at the front desk. Fuller is there talking to her now. Sullivan took trips to the City every couple weeks to see how the surveillance system was progressing. Cosetti is a different story though. According to Charlie Turner she owes the casino seventy-five hundred dollars in gambling debt…"

"How…" Espo started to say before Rhymer interrupted.

"Turner granted her ten grand in credit after she signed a promissory note to repay it when she received her annual distribution from her father's will. Also according to Turner Cosetti was friends with his ex-wife, Rebecca Siegal. He would usually see them together whenever Cosetti was at the casino."

"That's excellent, gives us something to work with. When you two headed back?"

"As soon as Fuller, wait here comes now. Guess we'll be headed your way shortly. See you soon." He then hung up.

"Okay guys, let's get to work. Ryan start digging into the ex-wife. Espo your with me."

"Where we going?"

"The Pennybaker Club."

The Pennybaker Club

Immediately upon entering Analdo asked a worker who was in charge, and where she could find him. The worker gave her the name Jim Timberlake, and directed her to an office on the second floor.

"Jim Timberlake," Analdo inquired walking in.

"That's me," a burly of a man replied.

"Detectives Analdo and Esposito. We'd like to ask you a few questions"

"About?"

"Daniel Sullivan."

"What about him?"

"When was the last time he was here?"

"Couple of months ago when he ordered an additional four cameras be installed. Didn't make the men happy since they had to undo some of their previous work so new wiring could be run."

"We were told he came over every couple weeks," Esposito said.

"If he did, he didn't come here."

"How about the other locations, Could he have visited one of them," Analdo asked.

"Doubtful. The one in Queens is still being gutted, and the Bronx location hasn't been started yet."

"Did he have anyone with him," Espo asked?

"Come to think of it there was some chick with him."

"Was this her?" Analdo pulling a photo from her folder of Laura Cosetti, showing it to him.

"Can't be sure but it kind of looks like it could have been."

"Well thank you Mr. Timberlake, you've been quite helpful. We'll let you get back to work. Come on, Espo.

The Precinct

Analdo pulled her cruiser into the precinct underground parking garage just a Rhymer and Feller exited theirs. "Great timing guys. Let's get upstairs and start up-dating."

"Okay, what have we learned? Feller what did you learn from the girlfriend?"

"We'll, to begin with she is bisexual, leans more toward the female side but does enjoy an occasional male partner. That's where our Mr. Sullivan comes in. She wasn't really his girlfriend but kept that persona up since Mr. Turner frowned upon same sexual relations."

"Did she ever have a tryst with Rebecca Siegal," Analdo asked?

"Oh yeah," Fuller replied, "and quite often I gathered from the way she talked about her."

"We know Corsetti may have been bisexual as well and has been seen with Sullivan. I'm getting an eerie feeling about all this," Analdo stated.

"Eerie about what?" Castle asked stepping into the bullpen, Beckett at his side.

"This Sullivan, Cosetti, Siegal and now Espinoza situation."

"And how's that," Beckett enquired.

"We have three bisexual women and one male who we don't know his true sexual orientation, but that he has had sex with at least one of the women, Nadine Espinoza. We can place him as being seen with Laura Cosetti but don't know if they ever had sex. If we can place him with Rebecca Siegal we'll have a sexual trifecta."

"Do we have an address for Siegal," Beckett asked.

"Yeap. And she lives right here in Manhattan," Ryan answered.

"We need to talk to her," Analdo declared. "Rhymer, Fuller, go get her. Ryan, get me everything you have on her. Espo, get me coffee."

"Wha-what," Espo stammered, and everyone burst laughing.

"I was kidding," Analdo said when the laughing died down, but I'll get you a cup. I could use one myself. The rest of you get to work."

Beckett and Castle followed Analdo into the breakroom. Castle instantly going to the espresso machine to make Beckett her vanilla latte, Analdo to the regular coffee maker, but finding it empty.

"My special coffee is in the upper cabinet on your right. Make a pot of it," Castle stated. "Espo takes his with cream and one sugar," he then added.

"When Ms. Siegal gets here put her in the conference room," expressed Beckett, "she'll feel more comfortable in there, maybe open up more. I'll go in with you she'll better if two women are in there with her as opposed to a male.

It was an hour later when Rhymer and Fuller brought Rebecca Siegal in. Analdo instantly got up to greet her while telling Fuller to go get the Captain, then began escorting Siegal to the conference room.

A few moments later Beckett appeared, introduced herself then took a seat in one of the comfortable arm chairs. "Thank you for coming in Ms. Siegal," she said.

"What is this about? Why did you want to see me?" Siegal asked.

"We just have a few questions concerning the case we are investigating," Analdo replied.

"Okay thing, ask away."

"How do you know Laura Corsetti?" Analdo asked.

"From the Sapphire Hotel and Casino. We met a few months ago and almost instantly became friends. We had so much in common it was almost scary," she answered.

"We heard she was bisexual. Are you?" commented Beckett.

"Yes," she declared without the least bit of embarrassment. "Although I prefer women, but do occasionally enjoy the pleasure of a man."

"Did you and Laura have a sexual relationship?" Analdo enquired.

"Oh no," Siegal said, "my and Laura's relationship was strictly cordial."

"So what then did you talk about, what did you two do together?" Beckett asked.

"We talked about everything, she was reporter, so she naturally asked a lot of questions. As to what we did for enjoyment, we went to dinner together or to a movie, or played tennis."

"What kind of questions did she ask?" enquired Analdo.

"Usually something about the casino, how did Charlie acquire it. How did security spot cheaters, that kind of thing.

"Very well, let's move on," Analdo said. "did you know Nadine Espinoza?"

"Oh sure. And if you want to know if I had a relationship with her, the answer is yes, and a sexual one, yes again."

"But didn't she have a boyfriend?" Beckett immediately asked.

"She did. Daniel Sullivan, he worked for the casino in security, he kept watch on the cameras looking for cheaters. He could spot a card counter in an instant, had other assets also."

"You had sex with him," Analdo said more like a statement than as a question.

"A couple of time when I was still married to Charlie. That's why Charlie divorced me. It didn't bother him that I had sex with women, but when he found out I had sex with other men, well, that was crossing the line. Anyway after we separated Daniel would come over and we'd have fun. I was devastated when I heard he was killed."

"Wait, when did you here that?" Beckett responded.

"Uh, last evening on one of the news stations."

"Well, thank you for your cooperation Ms. Siegal. That will be all. You can go," Analdo said.

"We got her," Analdo and Beckett must have been thinking at the same time. They didn't have the true identity of their statue victim until yesterday afternoon, and that information was never released to the media. But they knew that it wasn't enough. "Ryan," Analdo suddenly spouted. "Did we get the phone records and financials for Siegal?"

"Put in a request for them but haven't received them yet. Probably won't have them until tomorrow morning."

"Okay everyone, that looks like it for today," Beckett said. "Let's call it a day and hit it hot and heavy tomorrow."

"You got it… Whatever you say." Rang out from the assortment of team members in the room as they all began putting things away and shutting down their computers.

"Coffee, ladies," Castle asked as the bullpen cleared out. "Yeah," he heard in response.
