"Happy birthday izuku!" yelled out two voices to the small child.
Izuku Midoriya was a now 4 year old boy, celebrating his birthday with his parents inko and hissashi midoriya. They were a normal family and izuku loved his parents. He also is excited to see what quirk he gets now that he is four. Because it is normally around this time that kids started to get their quirks, and now izuku was the only kid left in his class to not get a quirk yet.
To celebrate his son's birthday hissashi got tickets to go to an amusement park. So they did, they went and all had a great time. Seeing their child smiling so brightly always made the two parents smile as well. They spent the whole day at the amusement park until they had to leave because it was getting late.
Hissashi was driving his car with his wife in the seat next to him with their son asleep in the backseat. Their drive back home was quiet and peaceful on an old back road. As they were rounding a turn hissashi slammed on the brakes, scaring his wife and waking his son.
In front of the family was a weird looking rift of light. "Hissashi, what is that?" asked inko.
"I dont know." replied hissashi, as the rift glowed bright for a second revealing a person laying on the ground trying to get up.
Hissashi quietly got out of the car to help the guy, telling his wife to call the police and the heroes. " Sir, are you ok?" asked hissashi.
The guy got to his feet with the help of hissashi and that's when the family learned something. One being that the guy was not Japanese, two that the wounds that were on his body were gone, and three that the portal was glowing again.
Seeing this the guy pushed hissashi out of the way as a wave of energy hit the man sending him into a guard rail, With a person walking through the rift. "Delsin rowe, you are weak and here i thought you were the strongest conduit there was, but i guess that was wrong to think. Now time to die." said a man in a suit aimed his arm at the now named delsin.
Before he could hurt Delsin anymore a large wall of fire forced him away. Looking over, the man saw hissashi standing there with smoke coming from his mouth. In a rage the man fired a blast of energy at hissashi hitting him. " dad!" yelled young izuku as he ran to his injured father with his mother right behind him.
Izuku was crying as his father was not responding to him and there was a cold feel to his body. The man slowly walked to the kid and aimed his hand at the kid. In a bout of fear inko used her quirk on the man's hand to get it away from her son but ended up having the blast hit near her sending her away with the man being set off course due to the change in his aim.
Izuku made his way quickly to his mother crying the whole way. " izuku you have to… get away from here…. Hide, don't let the bad man find you…. Know this we love you….. Now and forever." said inko as she passed to the next life, as izuku cries over his mothers body.
"She was smart but not smart enough. Time has come to an end for you young one. Say your goodbyes." said the man ready to kill the boy.
" You will do nothing to him, I am the one you're fighting and now I am going to end this." said delsin. As the man turned along with izuku they saw delsin standing there in the middle of the fire and smoke, but what was interesting was that the smoke was being drawn to him.
The man saw this and his eyes widened in fear. As the smoke around delsin grew, so did the power that was radiating off him. With all the smoke being compressed into delsin's hands he released a massive blast of smoke and embers that extremely injured the man.
Walking over to the crying child, Delsin kneeled down to the kid and tried his best to consult the kid. " I'm sorry for your loss. I know the feeling of losing family, I would never wish the feeling on even my worst enemies." said delsin as he put a hand on the kid's shoulder. But as he did this he had a strange feeling and everything went black. Opening his eyes, Delsin saw that he and the kid had blacked out, but he was more surprised to see the kid having smoke surrounding him just like himself. ' did he just get my powers but that's impossible.' thought delsin, moving over to the kid to see if he was alright or not.
Before he could get to the kid, delsin could hear the sound of rushing air, the sound of something flapping. Looking around, Delsin couldn't see anything till a massive white and red beast landed next to the kid. As the dust from the landing cleared delsin had one thought. ' Is that a dragon?!' asked delsin to no one.
Seeing that the dragon was standing close to the kid, he didn't know if it was an enemy or a friend. That question was answered when the dragon transformed into a tall blonde haired woman in a red dress with claw-like markings on the front of the dress with a set of claws covering half her face. " villain, stop your rampage here before i am forced to use force." said the dragon lady.
" villain. Rampage. Lady, I don't know what you think happened but I am not the one that did this damage and killed the boy's parents. That would be the work of the jackass on the ground over there." said delsin pointing to the still body of the man that attacked him and the midoriya's.
" Wait, the boy's parents are?" the dragon lady stopped, not wanting to hear the answer that she already knew. Looking at the boy who still had a smokey mist around him. walking over to him the dragon lady kneeled down to check the boy.
" he should be fine. None of the attacks hit the kid." said delsin.
"YOU!" hearing an angry voice and looking to the origin of it the two still conscious people say the man getting up starting to glow a dangerous red hew.
" Oh no. get down!" yelled delsin to the dragon lady hitting the ground as the man's red glow grew more and more till he yelled out and exploded. Covering the boy at her feet the dragon lady grew her wings and covered herself and the boy from the explosion. Uncovering herself the dragon lady could see that the man that exploded was completely gone. Looking over to the other man she saw him walking through the weird looking portal before he turned around to face him.
" ha, take care of the kid, he's going to need someone to help him along his path. Because I got a feeling he is going to be a great hero one day." said delsin waving to the woman before passing through the portal that closed behind him.
Checking around her the dragon lady couldn't see any more people around other than herself and the boy at her feet. Picking the boy up she could feel that he was burning up. Not knowing where the closest hospital is, the dragon lady was a little worried until she heard the sounds of sirens and the flashing of lights.
Once the police and fire department arrived followed by a ambulance and a couple other heroes, the dragon lady let out a breath she didn't know she was holding making her way to a ambulance were the paramedics took the kid from her and started to check him for injuries and to see if they could bring his body temperature back down to normal.
" Crazy first day as a hero, young ryukyu. Bet you weren't expecting this." said a deep voice behind the now named ryukyu.
Turning around to see who was talking to her, Ryukyu saw a tall armored man in old traditional samurai armor with a large nodachi on his back. " Oh Kensei, you scared me there," said ryukyu.
" oh. A little old man scared the big bad dragon?" asked Kensei.
" you are definitely not little and just because you're old doesn't mean you're not a very strong hero." said ryukyu.
" yes, yes. But in other news, how is the boy?" asked Kensei with a serious face.
" well before you guys got here there was another guy and he said the kid wasn't hit by any of the attacks but he will have some mental wounds given that he just watched his parents die right in front of him." said Ryukyu with a sad face.
" And how about you? How are you holding up?" asked Kensei, looking at ryukyu.
" I don't know. I knew that one day I would see someone die but to see two parents die right in front of their child. It's something else." said ryukyu looking at the still unconscious izuku laying in the ambulance .
" Unfortunately I can't say it gets easier, but I can say that the best way to overcome it is not to look at what you couldn't do. But to look at what you have done and who you have saved." said Kensei.
As the two heroes were talking a paramedic made their way over to them and told them that they were taking the boy to the hospital to deal with the high body temperature that he has. " Wait, why are you taking him to the hospital for that? Wouldn't it just be his quirk or an effect of it?" asked Kensei to the medic.
" That's why we are taking him to the hospital. We checked his quirk registry and he is quirkless." said the medic.
" That can't be right. I saw smoke coming off around him a little while ago." replied ryukyu.
" Well if he has a quirk and it just wasn't updated we still need to take him to see if it is his quirk or if it is something else." said the medic.
" go with them. When the kid wakes up he is going to need someone, and you're probably better with kids then I would be." said Kensei.
Agreeing with the older hero, Ryukyu followed the medic to the ambulance and got in the back with izuku and the other medic. As they were making their way to the hospital ryukyu was paying extra attention to the unconscious izuku in front of her feeling that it was her fault that he lost his parents and is now an orphan.
Arriving at the hospital the medics took izuku to a room to run some tests. Will izuku was in the room and Ryukyu was forced to wait outside the room so that the doctors had their space to work. After a couple of minutes the doctors came out from izukus room and looked at ryukyu. " the boy is ok. He has no injuries we could find and the temperature of his body seems to be part of his quirk." said the doctor.
" That's what I thought. I remember seeing smoke surrounding him." said ryukyu.
" ya but his quirk is a bit weird. On his registry he is quirkless. But when we tested him, his quirk genes were a little different then what we normally see, kinda like it is in a constant state of change but overall it could just be his quirk factor settling in his body." said the doctor, walking off to attend to other patients.
Looking back into the room where izuku was asleep, Ryukyu couldn't help but feel bad for the boy. Walking into the room she made her way to the bedside of izuku. Looking down and seeing the stain marks on his face where the kid had cried. ' most have been devastating for him to see his parents die right in front of him.' thought ryukyu. As she was waiting in izukus room a doctor came in and told her that there was a waiting room next door for heroes that would stay and be guards for guess and that she could use it if she liked. Looking to the kid she declined the offer and went back to reading a book she had gotten.
After some time had passed ryukyu woke up from her sleep, not realizing that she fell asleep in the chair next to izukus bed. Looking up at the boy, Ryukyu saw the boy looking confused at his tattoos. ' Wait, did he always have those tattoos? I don't remember seeing them.' thought ryukyu to herself.
Looking at the tattoos, Ryukyu could see that he had a pair of flame like tattoos on his forearms, along with others on his body. Like the one on his chest that looked like a massive spider web of crack like tattoos. Then there were his legs around his cafs with purple and pink light stream tattoos on them. The one that drew most of her attention though was the massive pair of angel wings tattooed on his back.
Getting out of the chair she made her way over to izuku who looked up at her with confusion on his face before it was replaced by joy. " Are you a hero?" asked izuku.
Ryukyu smiled seeing the boy's happy face. " Yes I am. I'm the dragon hero: ryukyu." said ryukyu with a sharp tooth grin on her face.
" wow. A real hero, I can't believe it. Its a real hero. Mom, dad! There's a real hero here. Mom! Dad! Where are they?" asked izuku not getting a response from his yelling.
Looking at Ryukyu, Izuku had a questioning look on his face. " ms. hero. Where are my parents and where am i?" asked izuku.
Ryukyu looked at the boy and a pain in her heart hit her. She didn't want to tell the boy but she knew she had to tell him. " Hey kid, what's the last thing you remember?" asked the dragon hero to the boy.
" i remember celebrating my birthday, and being in the car with mom and dad. Then there was that man and…" izuku stopped and froze for a second before starting to tear up and looked at the dragon hero. " That was just a nightmare right? It didn't happen right? Mom and dad there here right? Right?" asked izuku with tears rolling down his face and shaking.
" I'm sorry but it wasn't a nightmare." said Ryukyu with sadness in her voice. The moment izuku heard those words he broke, and the tears flowed out of him will he screamed in sadness. Seeing the boy crying, Ryukyu didn't know why but she pulled the crying boy into a hug and squeezed him tight. He held onto Ryukyu with his small hands. They stayed like that for a while, with some of the nurses and doctors checking on them given they heard crying.
Once the young izuku was done crying but still holding ryukyu, the doctor walked in to check the boy. " Ha young one, how are you feeling?" asked the doctor, walking over to izuku and checking his temperature.
" I feel better sir." replied izuku.
" thats good to hear. Your temperature hasn't gone down from yesterday, but you seem to be in perfect health. Would it be ok if we did a quirk evaluation test? It would let us know what your quirk is and we can update your quirk registry." asked the doctor.
" uuum i don't know." said izuku looking up at ryukyu.
" dont worry its not going to hurt, and you get to see what your quirk is and don't worry i will be here when your done." said ryukyu.
" Ok I will go," said izuku smiling.
As izuku and the doctor walked to the quirk testing room, Ryukyu went to follow but was stopped by a hand on her shoulder. Turning around, Ryukyu saw Kensei standing there. " aw Kensei what are you doing here?" asked ryukyu.
" wanted to see how the kid was doing," said Kensei.
" ah. Well he is doing well, he still has a high temperature but it is most likely his quirk. He didn't take the news about his parents well but that's to be expected." said ryukyu.
" Yes, that is about how I would think he would react. I see he is going for his quirk test, shall we wait and see what his quirk is?" asked Kensei.
Agreeing, both heroes waited for the boy to be done with his test. After a little bit of time izuku ran into the room and hugged ryukyu's leg and was yelling that he got a quirk over and over again. Smiling at the boy, Ryukyu bent down and patted his head. As she was doing this the doctor came in and asked to talk to the heroes in a different area for a second.
Going to a different room while a nurse took care of izuku both heroes were ready to hear what the doctor had to say. " well what did you need to tell us doc?" asked kensei.
" Well, we tested the boy's quirk and the good news is that he does have a quirk and it does cause the increased base body temperature that he has," said the doctor.
"Well that's good, but what's the bad news?" asked kensei.
" Well that's the thing when we tested him his quirk gene was changing, like it couldn't stay in one form or another. When we tested different things around him we realized that he would have different things drawn towards his body. The ones we could find were smoke, neon light, concrete, and pixel-like energy from video screens." said the doctor.
" Wait, are you saying that he has more than one quirk?" asked ryukyu.
" No, it's definitely one quirk but it seems to let him absorb energies and use them to give himself different powers. In a sense it's a very strong quirk." said the doctor looking at the two shocked heroes.
" So this kid can absorb energy and other things to give himself more power and can alter himself to get different abilities with each absorbed energy?" asked kensei.
" that seems to be the case. We will be doing some more tests later but it looks like he has one of the most powerful quirks I have ever seen." said the doctor leaving the room with the two heroes. Kensei went to get some food and Ryukyu went back to izuku who was talking to the nurse before turning and running over to ryukyu.
After some time had passed and the day turned to night, ryukyu was sitting and playing with izuku and he messed around with some smoke in his hands. As the two were playing, Ryukyu heard a knock on the door. Opening the door was kensei with a nurse that had a cat-like quirk giving her cat ears and a tail. " ha ryukyu the doctor just told me that izuku here is all cleared to leave the hospital, the nurse here just needs to do one more check and we just need to notify the desk that we are taking him to the orphanage." said kensei with the nurse coming over to izuku and started checking him.
" ah that's good to hear but, i feel bad having to take him to a orphanage." said ryukyu a little sad.
" I agree but we can't just take him. I know you have gotten close to the boy. I will break the news to him. Can you notify the desk?" asked kensei.
Ryukyu agreed and made her way to the desk and asked one of the workers over to notify them. " pardon me, i am here to notify you that me and pro hero kensei are taking izuku midoriya to the orphanage." said ryukyu.
" ah thank you let me pull up his file and i can sign him out… uhm that's weird." said the nurse.
" What is it?" asked ryukyu.
" Well on his file it said that he is supposed to stay one more night," said the nurse.
" That's weird, kensei just said that the doctor said he was ok to leave," said ryukyu.
" Here we can go ask the doctor, he should be in his office." said the nurse walking over to the doctor's office with Ryukyu right behind her.
Knocking on the door the nurse called out for the doctor but got no response. Trying again and getting no response again, the two had a bad feeling. Getting tired of waiting, Ryukyu went to try and open the door only to find it unlocked. Opening the door, Ryukyu walked into the dark room with her eyes turning to reptilian eyes to see in the dark. Looking towards the desk, Ryukyu could see the doctor sitting in the chair facing away from the door. One thing the dragon hero noticed was the nasty smell in the room. The smell was familiar but she couldn't place it. Walking over to the doctor, Ryukyu had to do her best to stop herself from gagging at the site of the doctor's dead body. The nurse screamed seeing the doctor's body with a stab wound to his chest and his throat slit.
Seeing the doctor and connecting the pieces together ryukyu's eye widened and she ran out of the room and sprinted to izukus room hoping it's not what she was thinking. Charging through the door, Ryukyu saw an empty room. Growing rage built up inside her at the thought of the boy being taken. Growing scales and claws ryukyu used her enhanced senses to track the boys smell following it to the stair case were she sprinted up the stairs slowly changing into her dragon form till she bursted out of the ceiling to the roof were she could see kensei walking towards a helicopter with the cat nurse behind him carrying an unconscious izuku.
" KENSEI!" yelled Ryukyu in her deep dragon voice, getting the attention of kensei and the nurse.
" ah ryukyu i expected you to be distracted by the doctor but i guess for a rookie you're pretty good." said kensei signaling the nurse to take izuku on to the helicopter.
" why? Why are you doing this?" asked Ryukyu, ready to charge the samurai style hero.
" Why do you ask? Well that would be because my master wants the boy." said kensei.
" your master. What are you talking about?" asked ryukyu.
" you wouldnt understand. But when the master wants something he gets it, and if I bring him the boy he will reward me greatly." said kensei.
" i don't care who this master of your is, you are not taking that boy." said ryukyu.
" Then try and stop me." said kensei pulling his nodachi out and activating his quirk unblockable, giving him the ability to cut through almost anything.
Flying towards the former hero ryukyu did her best to avoid his nodachi while also trying to hit him but every time she went to hit him he would try and cut one of her limbs off, most of the time missing but sometimes he would gray's her scales and it would leave a cut on her, even tho her scales are extremely durable.
Realizing that the samurai hero was just stalling when the helicopter started to take off, Ryukyu used her tail to hit kensei away while charging towards the helicopter. making it to the pad, Ryukyu used her powerful claws to grab the helicopter and force it back down on the helipad. Once she had it back on the ground, Ryukyu used her claws to break the propellers on the helicopter. Ryukyu was about to rip the tail of the helicopter off when she felt something on her tail and then the next thing she knew, she was being thrown on to the other side of the roof. Changing back to her human form, ryukyu looked to see who threw her and to say she was surprised would be an understatement. Standing where Ryukyu used to be was kensei but he had a golden aura around him. " What is that? That's not your quirk." said Ryukyu, getting back onto her feet.
" of course it's not, this is a different quirk gifted to me by my master." said kensei walking toward ryukyu grabbing his nodachi with the golden aura moving to cover the blade as soon as he grabbed it.
" a gifted quirk? That's not possible, you can't just be given a quirk." said ryukyu confused.
" Oh but I can and once I hand over the boy I will be gifted even more power." said kensei dashing towards Ryukyu ready to cut her in two.
Moving out of the way from the blade, Ryukyu watched as the blade cut straight through the roof and shattered the area around the impact. Taking the chance ryukyu tried to grab kensei's arm to disarm him but even with her increased strength she couldn't get his hands off the blade. Missing the chance to disarm the man, ryukyu wasn't ready for kensei to easily lift her up with one hand and throw her to the other side of the roof. Looking where kensei grabbed her, Ryukyu saw that her left arm had almost been crushed. Her scales had saved her arm but the scales had cracks and breaks all over.
" do you not see how pointless this is?" yelled kensei walking to the still downed ryukyu.
" You can't stop me. You can't save the boy. You can't even stand. What will you do? Run away, keep fighting and die, or will you give up and let the boy go?" asked kensei letting the tip of his blade touch the ground causing a long gash on the roof to appear.
Trying to think of a way to beat kensei, ryukyu was running out of time as with every step the man made the closer she got to her death. Ryukyu looked back at kensei and she didn't know if it was just her or not but she could have sworn that the golden aura around kensei had gotten smaller. ' Is it time based or possible energy? Either way if I can make it run out I might have a chance.' thought ryukyu.
Getting to her feet ryukyu looked to kensei who had stopped his walk towards her interested in seeing what she did. " Sorry if this is not what you want to hear, but I still have to do my job and stop you. Along with saving that boy." said Ryukyu, transforming into her full dragon form.
Flapping her wings, Ryukyu flew into the air out of the reach of kensei before turning around and diving down towards him. Picking up speed as she rocketed towards the former hero, ryukyu pulled up at the last moment while striking at kensei who tried to hit her but missed because of the impact from the high speed claws on the dragon hero. It didn't cause any damage to him but it did force him back. Trying to Turn around to attack the dragon hero again, kensei was hit again before he could turn around.
Getting Back up kensei looked at where Ryukyu was coming from. seeing the dragon hero coming for another dive attack, the former pro hero focused his golden aura on to his nodachi even more then before and fully activated his quirk, and as ryukyu impacted with him he went flying back and had a small cut on his chest seeing that his golden aura was very thin and almost looked like it was but a faint mist. But he was happy when he heard the impact of the dragon hero on to the roof.
Looking Over to the now downed hero, Kensei could see his strike was true given that the dragon hero was now missing one of her wings. Getting up and making his way to ryukyu, kensei knew his body was at its limit and that his second quirk was about to run out. Making it to the now grounded dragon kensei raised his nodachi to strike the hero but was stopped when ryukyu did something he didn't know she could do. Turning her head towards kensei, ryukyu blasted a large ball of fire from her mouth towards him forcing him to block and send him sliding back.
As the flames died down kensei was revealed with some burns on his body and some of his armor destroyed along with his golden aura gone. " Can you breathe fire? But I have never seen you use that before." said kensei in a rage.
" a good hero keeps some secrets to surprise their enemies." said ryukyu with a grin on her face after changing back to her human form.
Kensei was overflowing with rage but he had a smirk on his face looking at the heroine who was barely standing and had a large amount of blood coming from her back. " It doesn't matter. You are barely standing up right and even if i dont have my other quirk i have barely taken eny damage." said kensei laughing as he dashed towards ryukyu with his blade raised and ready to slash her.
As the blade made contact with Ryukyu's arm that she put up to block with the blade shattered. Stepping back from the hero, kensei looked at what was left of his nodachi. " For a swordsman you don't pay much attention to your weapon do you. The constant hits on my scales and the powerful strike with that aura of yours put a lot of strain on that sword. But my fireball was the last straw that it took to break. Now that you are in range, sorry to say this but you're going to jail." said Ryukyu, growing her tail and spinning causing the tail to act like a wip and slam the kensei in the side of the head, knocking him out.
Taking a deep breath and putting her tail away, Ryukyu was calming herself down after having to fight the former hero. But her relaxed state didn't last long when a yell sounded out, turning her head ryukyu saw the cat nurse holding a now awake izuku with her claws at his neck. " put the boy down. Do it now and the police will go easy on you." said ryukyu looking towards the nurse, and hearing the sounds of police cars and officers making their way up to them.
" ah and then what go to jail. Hell no. I'm getting out of here, taking this stupid boy, and getting the reward I was promised. But if i can't get out of her then the boy is going to have his neck cut open." said the nurse.
Moving towards the nurse trying to think of an idea to get izuku out of the woman's arms. But she could only get so close because if she got any closer then the villain could hurt izuku who was trying to get out of the woman's arms and was making her more and more annoyed with every passing second. The cat villain yelled at the boy to stop or he would die but he didn't listen struggling more and more till he activated something and caused the cat woman to scream in pain as she let go of izuku and grabbed her arm which now had a bad burn on it. Being pissed at the boy the woman slashed at the boy cutting his throat and sending him to the ground on the other side of the helipad.
Seeing the boy that she had been watching after and getting to know, Ryukyu was pissed. Turning to the villain, Ryukyu saw red and before the villain knew there was a clawed hand implanted in her chest and blood spilling from the wound and her mouth. Pulling her hand from the now dead villain, Ryukyu ran over to izuku who was holding his neck trying to breathe. Making it to him she pulled him into her lap trying to help the boy stop the bleeding but the wound was too big.
Seeing the tears in his eyes, Ryukyu started to cry herself seeing the boy trying to hold on to his life the best he could. To izuku he was feeling the worst pain he had ever felt, feeling the red liquid running down his hands and feeling the hands of the hero that had been watching after him ever since he lost his parents. He didn't want to die, he wanted to live, to be a hero, to help people. But as he was starting to feel cold and feel the tears run down his face, one of the last things he saw was the face of ryukyu crying over him, as the word started to fade out izuku saw a memory in his head of that man from the portal absorbing smoke and his wounds were healed.
Looking at the smoke that was coming from the fireball that Ryukyu blasted, izuku moved his hand from his throat and towards the smoke like he was trying to reach out and grab it. Feeling the last of his strength left him, Izuku pulled on the smoke the best he could, willing it to come to him. To his and ryukyu's surprise all the smoke on the roof rushed to izuku surrounding him and ryukyu till all of it was absorbed into izuku. Who after taking a second to let the smoke settle took a deep breath feeling the wound on his neck disappear like it was never there.
Ryukyu was filled with so much happiness at seeing the boy alive and ok that she didn't care about her wounds that had also disappeared and hugged the boy tight to her chest with izuku hugging her back and staying there till the police had already cleared the roof of the villainesses body and cuffed kensei who was still out cold.
Time skip couple days later
After the big fight on the roof of the hospital ryukyu was brought into the hospital were her wounds were treated and fixed, luckly her wings can grow back like her tail but it would suck that she cant fly for a while. Through the whole process of him being in the hospital she was never truly bored given that one izuku midoriya would almost always come to her room and spend as much time as he could with her. That was until about two days before Ryukyu was scheduled to leave the hospital. " foster care?! You can't be serious?!" yelled Ryukyu at the agent from the hero safety commission.
" I'm sorry but we can't just keep him in a protection area just because of the words of a crazy man. Will the idea of someone wanting the kid is bad, our hands are tied on this." said the agent.
" So you will just put him in an orphanage where he will be easily taken and have to try and fit in with the kids," said ryukyu.
" Unfortunately yes, but we have some great places here and he will be fine." said the agent, getting a look from Ryukyu, which screamed bull shit.
" I have been in an orphanage and to say that he will be fine would be like saying all might never went to america. Is there really nothing you can do?" asked ryukyu.
" Sorry but no. This is the only option. The papers will be done and here by tomorrow. Now I have to go tell the young midoriya the news." said the agent getting up from his chair and about to walk out but was stopped.
" No, I will tell him. He will need someone to comfort him when the news breaks and he learns that he has to go there. He trusts me and I already know he will come by my room. So you can go and just come back tomorrow." said ryukyu.
" Thank you for this." said the agent walking out of the room leaving Ryukyu to think about how the boy could easily be taken from the orphanage and how the kids will treat him. Thinking about this caused flashbacks to when she was in an orphanage and how she was treated because of her quirk and what she liked.
After a couple of minutes of thinking about what she would say to izuku, ryukyu didn't know how she would break the news to him. Hearing a knock at her door, Ryukyu looked over to see the boy she was just thinking about. " ah izuku, here to visit me again?" asked Ryukyu with a smile on her face.
Seeing the hero that saved him, Izuku smiled and ran over to Ryukyu's bedside and sat in the chair next to her. " Yep, I enjoy talking with you." said izuku.
" I do as well. But Izuku, I have to tell you something important." said ryukyu.
Seeing that she had the boy's attention and knowing that there was no other way of putting it so she just told him. I had one of the agents from the hero safety commission come by and tell me that once you are cleared to leave the hospital tomorrow you will be put into an orphanage given that none of your relatives can take care of you. I'm so sorry to have to tell you this." said ryukyu looking at izuku who was shocked and heart broken at hearing that his family can't take care of him.
" So I have to leave my family and be alone?" asked izuku to no one, with tears in his eyes as he started to cry out in sadness.
Seeing the crying boy next to her, ryukyu reached over and picked up the crying boy and pulled him into a hug with izuku hugging her back as she ran her hand through his green hair to calm him down and to let him cry as much as he needed. ' no child his age should ever have to go through this. This world is just not fair. Wish i could do something for him, but I don't know what I could do.' thought ryukyu while holding and comforting the young boy.
After a while of comforting the boy and just sitting there ryukyu noticed that the boy had fallen asleep in her arms. Looking at the sleeping boy ryukyu had a happy smile on her face at the peaceful sleeping face of izuku. Hearing a little knock on the door, the hero looked over and saw izukus nurse standing there with a smile on her face. " i'm here to take mr. midoriya back to his room." said the nurse.
" absolutely, but try not to wake him. He deserves the rest." said Ryukyu, handing over izuku gently so as not to wake him.
Taking the boy from the dragon hero, the nurse made her way out of the room before stopping and turning to the hero. " I hope you don't mind me saying this but for a second there I thought you were this little boy's mother. It was so cute to see. Well sorry to interrupt your recovery have a good night." said the nurse walking away and shutting the door.
Hearing what the nurse said ryukyu had a blush on her face at the comments about her looking like izukus mother, after getting over the embarrassing part of the thought another thing crossed her mind. ' his mother. Could that be something i could do. I mean I have no idea on how to be a mother, but it could keep him out of the orphanage and away from whoever wants him.' thought ryukyu throughout the night.
Waking up the next morning, Ryukyu had a plan. When the agent walked in he wasn't expecting to see Ryukyu in her hero costume out of the bed with a determined look on her face. " So did you tell the boy about what's going to happen?" asked the agent.
" Yes I did." replied ryukyu.
" good then i can go and take him…." the agent was interrupted.
" but I have also come to a conclusion. That being, I will adopt the kid and take care of him as long as he is ok with it." said Ryukyu with full confidence.
" You can't be serious? You are a new pro hero and really young. You have your whole future ahead of you, for you to take care of a kid alone is not the smartest idea." said the agent with a concerned face.
" I have put some thought into it, and I know that it is a lot of responsibility but this is my choice. I will adopt the boy and take care of him." said ryukyu.
Not wanting to debate with the hero, the agent decided to just let the hero make her choice and made his way to izukus room with said hero right behind him. Making it to the boys room the two saw the boy sitting in his bed with a down cast look on his face. Hearing the two enter his room, izuku turned to look at them and had a small smile on his face seeing ryukyu but lost it seeing the agent. " Is it time to go to the orphanage?" asked izuku.
" Well actually izuku there is one more thing before that." said ryukyu.
Looking at the hero in confusion, izuku waited to hear what the hero had to say. " izuku before you go to the orphanage, I have a question for you. Would you like to come home with me?" asked ryukyu with a gentle smile.
Izuku had a wide eye look on his face with his mouth opening and closing like a fish. " do… do…. Do you mean? You're adopting me?" asked izuku with tears in his eyes.
" only if you want. It is your choice.'' said ryukyu, who didn't really get an answer but she did get a teary eyed boy hugging her with a massive smile on his face. ' i guess that's a yes.' thought ryukyu.
After signing out of the hospital and filling out the paperwork that was needed, the two made their way back home. Walking inside izuku saw it was a relatively normal house, nothing too big, but big enough for the two of them to be comfortable. Speaking of comfort, izuku saw ryukyu out of her hero costume, which she asked him to call her ryuko when she is not in her hero costume.
" welcome to your new home izuku. I hope it's not too small for the two of us." said ryuko walking with izuku around the house to show him where everything was.
" This place is bigger than my old house." said izuku getting a little sad at the reminder of his old family.
Seeing this ryuko crouched down to izuku and looked at him in the eyes." izuku i know it's still a lot for you and i don't expect you to forget your parents. I know that even though the paper says it, I'm not a replacement for your mother, that's why I don't expect you to call me mom. I just hope that i can help you get through this a little easier." said ryuko.
" thank you for this. But you are my mom now and that's my thanks to you." said izuku getting a super strong hug from ryuko who had a massive smile on her face and some tears of happiness.
After getting settled in ryuko had izuku sit down with her and she explained the plan of him going to school and how she would be helping him use his quirk. " train my quirk, but isn't quirk use without a license illegal?" asked izuku.
" yes but in your own home it is fine and I have a license so as long as you train with me it is not illegal," said ryuko.
" Oh I forgot about that." said izuku.
A couple years later
After some time had passed the great dragon hero ryukyu had climbed the ranks and became one of japan's best heroes, and to everyone of her fans she was a heroine that refused to go on dates with anyone. She portrayed a woman that refused to settle down with anyone and refused to have kids. But away from her fans and outside the eye of the public ryuko Tatsuma is a caring, kind mother who loves her adopted son with all the love a real mother can give.
As for izuku, he had grown a lot closer to ryuko and other heroes like his newly named auntie rumi, and uncle fat. Izuku also got a lot better at using his newly named quirk, conduit. Izuku now has a lot of control over his quirk using his ability to absorb certain things and use them to perform different powers. At the moment izuku is very good at using his smoke abilities, with neon light not too fair behind but his other two concrete and what izuku called video are a little harder for izuku to control.
izuku was writing down notes in his hero journal that he used to help give him ideas on how he can use his own powers in different ways. As he was doing this, izuku heard a knock at his room's door. " Come in," Izuku said to the person on the other side of the door.
Walking into the room was the boy's mother. " Ha izuku, are you almost ready to go to school?" asked ryuko.
" ya i just need to put my notebook in my bag. But you do know that it not like i am going to a brand new place it's only the start of the news school year." said izuku.
" It's not just another year. It's your final year of middle school before you go off to U A high." said ryuko.
" I know, but how do you know I am going to U A high?" asked izuku with a raised eyebrow.
" Please, you don't think i havent noticed you doing research on the high school, and the massive amount of times I have heard you talking about that school." said ryuko with a smirk on her face.
Seeing the defeated look on her son's face ryuko walked over to him and pulled on his cheeks making him complain about the embarrassing action. But ryuko didn't stop till it was time to leave for izukus school. Making it to the school izuku said his goodbyes to his mother giving her a kiss on the cheek with her doing the same.
Walking into his classroom izuku was approached by his only friend in the school given that in his school the other students stayed away from him given that they all see him as the strongest student in the whole school, and his friend just makes it even harder for people to approach him given that his friend is known as the most beautiful girl in the school. That being a girl named Momo Yaoyorozu.
To the whole school these two students were the top of the school. While izuku is a kind and caring person who would gladly talk with just about anyone but with the amount of power he has it scares people along with his choice in clothing that makes him look like a delinquent given he wears denim jeans with a green beanie covering his green hair, along with a denim vest over a green hoodie. A unique thing about his vest though is the spray painted design of two crows put together with a blank spot in the middle forming a star on the back of the vest.
Even though izuku is seen as the most powerful, he is also seen as the most attractive male in the school given his training with his mother and other heroes that people don't know about and his natural good looks. Izuku has many female admirers that would stop at nothing to date or even talk to izuku, but there is one obstacle that the other females can't get around. That obstacle being one momo yaoyorozu.
Ever since the first year of middle school when izuku and momo first met, the girl has been with izuku for everything and anytime another girl tried to get with izuku she would stop them by distracting izuku or taking him away from them. But izuku knew none of this, to him the females just didn't like him and were afraid of his power.
After talking with momo in the morning and hearing the teacher ask the class to sit down, izuku was ready to start the day when the teacher had an announcement for the class. " Alright class it is good to see you all again and I hope your brakes were good, but now it is back to the books. But before we start today we have a new student. She will be joining us starting today, so please be kind to her. You may come in." said the teacher turning to the door were the student came in.
Walking into the room was a tall blonde haired girl whose hair was let down to her hips, with shiny purple eyes and a radiating smile on her face. " Hello everyone my name is Yu Takeyama, I look forward to learning alongside you all. So please take care of me." said yu with a bow at the end of the class.
After she introduced herself there was some silence in the class till all the guys started talking about the hot girl in front of them and some of the girls talked about another school beauty. Hearing the words of the students the teacher got their attention again. " Good now, I need someone to show Miss Takeyama around and help her get into the swing of things here. Midoriya, can you take that responsibility?" asked the teacher, causing some of the guys in the class to look jealous at izuku who answered the teacher with a yes, causing the guys to look at him with even more jealousy and a certain black haired beauty to stare daggers into yu.
" Great, for now miss takeyama you can sit at the desk behind midoriya." said the teacher causing even more jealousy to happen around the room.
After class was done and everyone was dismissed for there free period izuku packed his things and turned to yu to ask if she was ready to go see the school but was surprised when a hand wrapped around his arm and was pulled up and out of his seat, with his arm being pulled in between two very soft objects. Turning his head, Izuku saw that it was Yu holding his arm to her chest with her already developing breast being squished around his arm causing him to blush. " come on midoriya, I want to see around the school with you already." said Yu, pulling the blushing boy with her, missing the glare she was getting from momo.
Walking around the school both izuku and yu talked about the different locations and the fastest way to get to them, which soon changed to them talking about themselves and what they like to do and even their future goals. " So you also want to be a hero and go to U A?" asked yu.
" ya. I have always wanted to be a hero and sense i got my quirk i have been practicing to get better with it. I hope to be one of the best heroes in the world someday." said izuku.
" oh, and if you don't mind me asking, what is your quirk?" asked yu with a smile on her face.
" I don't mind at all. It's called conduit, it gives me the ability to absorb different energies and matter and can do different things depending on the energy and matter absorbed. Can i hear about your quirk?" asked izuku looking at yu.
" oh, your quirk sounds so cool. A lot better than what mine is. All I can do is increase my size with my quirk, which is called gigantification." said yu with a half smile on her face.
" I think your quirk sounds cool. If it increases your strength when you grow then you could clear roadways and move heavy obstacles to help in evacuation and you can take on people with strength quirks if you are strong enough. That and also when you are larger it increases your speed given your steps are longer." said izuku getting a surprised look from yu.
" I never thought of it like that before," said yu.
" It's all about how you can use your quirk. For some people they just need to think out of the box." said izuku.
" while talking about quirks. I overheard some of the other students refer to you as the strongest, and that people stay away from you. Why is that?" asked yu.
Before izuku could answer that question the two were stopped when they heard a yell coming from behind them. Turning around the two saw another boy making his way to them. The boy was in a torn up pair of jeans and a torn up hoodie with bags under his eyes. Stopping in front of the two izuku saw that the boy was looking at yu with a less noble look in his eyes. " ha green bean why you gotta take all the chicks for yourself." said the guy.
" ha, i can be with whoever i want, thank you very much." said yu hugging izukus arm to her chest, but izuku didn't even react, he just stood there with a angry look in his eyes.
" Oh you say that, but you haven't spent any time with me. How about you spending a little bit of time with me? I guarantee that you will not forget the time." said the guy with a lecherous look on his face.
" No thank you, now please leave us alone," said Yu, pulling izuku away.
They got about two steps before izuku felt something wrap around his body before being pulled away from yu and thrown into a wall. Once he got back up he felt himself held by something to the wall. Looking down, Izuku saw that they were chains holding him to the building.
Hearing a scream izuku looked up to see chains coming from the guy and one of them had hit yu causing a gash to appear on her arm. " Takeyama, run away," said izuku.
Listening to the boy she tried to run away but was stopped by a pair of chains wrapping around her legs and causing her to trip. Turning to look at the guy, yu saw him having a lecherous look in his eyes, as he pulled her in with his chains.
Seeing what was about to happen in front of him, Izuku knew he heeded to do something. ' im sorry mom. I need to do this.' thought izuku used his ability with smoke to heat up the chains around him till he broke the chains. Grabbing a long chain that had fallen to the ground, izuku wrapped it around his forearm and hand.
Looking at the guy, Izuku used his smoke ability to dash towards the guy changing into multiple streams of smoke before reforming next to the guy with his fist drawn back. Imbuing the chain with his smoke causing some embers to appear on it and for it to turn a little black with smoke coming off the chain.
To yu and the guy one second there was nothing the next second a massive amount of smoke appeared and the guy was sent flying into a wall with a burn mark on his cheek in the shape of chains. Looking to her saver, Yu saw izuku standing there with an orange glow to his eyes and smoke swirling around him making him look like some kind of monster. But to yu, all she saw was the person that saved her.
" Are you alright?" asked izuku with his hand out.
