Jiraiya and Hiruzen sat across from each other, Hiruzen slowly writing down the details of his dream. "I thought I had gone crazy; such a bizarre dream. Thankfully, my worries were laid to rest when my assistant told me about the same dream," Hiruzen said as he slid the paper across the table. Jiraiya nodded. "Hmm, I was astonished when I heard a few locals talking about it as well. But with the change in the prophecy and the sudden retreat of Iwa from Suna, it seems like the world is stepping into a new era."
The night before, as if connected by one mind, the world experienced a singular dream, the dream of the chosen child, or as some called him, the star child. News of this had spread across the world at a speed that could only be considered supernatural. One day, when all war and fighting have reached their apex, a great shadow will cover the land. Blocking the sun and plunging the world into darkness, but the boy will come, casting a light so great that the shadow will be struck down. Morning would come, and the shepherd boy would rise, ushering in a new dawn.
One thousand miles away, at the border of Konoha, a young red-headed woman was giving birth. Her husband was waiting just outside and pacing nervously. The child did not cry; instead, he let out a small cough and slowly moved its arms around. The baby couldn't see, hear, or speak, but it was aware. He was aware of the midwives, aware of his father, and aware of who he was. Kushina flashed a thin smile. "Ah, Naruto, I finally get to see you," she said as she brought the child up. One of the midwives, Mikoto, stepped out of the room and into the courtyard, walking through the melting snow and towards Minato, who stood underneath the family fig tree. It was so damp and foggy that she almost couldn't make the man out.
"He's here; he's a quiet one, but he seems okay." She said, Minato's blue eyes grew bright, and he quickly ran past Mikoto and into the house. He couldn't help but laugh, a single tear falling from his eye. "Hello," he said as he stared at Naruto.
Here in the Lily Pad Valley, in the country of Konoha, on October 10th, Naruto would be born to Kushina and Minato.
