To the Grand Line

Maha had put on her hood again, while she started running. Her falcon flew somewhere in the direction of the harbor, she knew how Zaki hated the rain and he would just wait for her somewhere around. In the distance Maha could hear Buggy the Clown scream "BLAST THAT CURSED, NO-GOOD RUBBER BOY!" she smiled and continued her way on the roofs of the city. She always liked to run on top of cities, as it's most of the time faster, but it will also give her the best overview of the city's structure.

A sudden "WHITE OUT!" made her stop on the spot. That marine captain! She had heard rumors about him, but never saw him. She swirled around and jumped with a few quick leaps on the corner of a bigger building, where she could see on the streets where the shout had come from. It was an amazing view. That Marine had caught the whole bunch of pirates on his own. His arms were mere smoke that had wrapped around the pirates. Fast enough they were all tied up by the other marines and he jumped onto his bike. Maha turned again and ran in the direction that the rubber boy and the other two were heading before. She had lost sight of them, but they had to go to the harbor if they wanted to get out of here. Soon she found them again - mostly thanks to the green hair of that swordsman - and she saw that half of the marines stationed here followed the three pirates. In the distance she could see a small figure standing in the streets. "Oh, look it's that swordswoman again…" Maha mumbled. The swordswoman directly addresses the other sword wielder "Rorona Zoro! You were making fun of me! I'm going to take Wado Ichimonji away from you!" Maha had no clue what that was, but the echo of two swords clashing on each other made her stop. The other two continued running, with the blonde one angrily huffing "He's attacking a girl!" Well.. Maha thought, first the girl seemed to have been attacking him first so basically he just defended himself, and second, welcome to the modern world!

The weather started to get wetter and rougher, Maha doubted that they could leave in this storm. While the two swords wielder fought, Maha threw a couple of her throwing knives at the marines, every one of them finding its target, before jumping back to hide from their sight. "There is someone!" - "Where did those come from?" she could hear the confusion of the marines. Maha ran a bit back to get behind the marines, and jumped from the roof. Mid air she threw some more of her knives in the back of the unlucky marines standing in the last row, and landed between two others assassinating them directly with her swords hidden on both sides of her bracelets. The next ones realized her presence but it was too late. They turned around but Maha had already drawn her short sword and slit two of them open. The next one was faster and started to run to her with his sword ready. Maha blocked the hit with her bracelet and redirected it to the ground. The marine lost its balance, stumbled more as Maha rolled over him, poked him with one of her specialties - a poisoned metallic finger tip with a poison that was known as the 3 step death. Once injected the body can only do 3 more steps before the poison kicks in and the person would die. Maha used the impact she got from rolling to attack and wound the next one directly with her sword, dodged another sword by turning and hit a vital point of the attacker from behind. She fought herself a way through the marines that were mostly standing in awe of the fighting of the green haired swordsman and the marine swordswoman. Due to the thunder and strong wind they barely realized the danger that was coming from behind. Dodging incoming sword strikes and with a lot of rolling, stabbing and shielding herself with the body of the fellow marines, Maha also got to the first row. She could not believe what she saw. The woman apparently lost, but the two were shouting at each other. Maha also stopped her fighting and stared at that ridiculous scene together with the marines.

Eventually she woke up when she felt a sword whizzing down on her. She jumped, avoided that blade and threw some of her small daggers that she picked up again while fighting her way to the front row. "What have you done?" one marine basically screamed at her while rushing towards her. Again she blocked and poked him, while fighting off the next one. She always needed to be quite close to her opponents, because her sword is shorter than usual and her hidden swords are not much longer than her hands, so when they would find out, they could just keep her with those longer swords of them at a good distance… she'd be screwed. Luckily they were too surprised to think. With a last poke she ran towards the two still fighting swordsmen. "Come on! No time to chat!" she ran past the green haired man, who looked puzzled towards the hooded figure, back to the marines, where the last one collapsed due to the poison, and started to run for good. "Who are you?" - "Let's call me a friend for now." Maha replied. "Did you knock out all those marines by yourself?" by the sound of his voice he was astonished. "Yes, but I got lucky. This way!" she ran where she could tell the other might have been running as the quickest way to the harbor.

Zoro was not sure what to think about that guy. He sure helped, but appeared out of nowhere? Sounds fishy. He seems to be strong but definitely not working with the marines. He could tell that the marines lying back there in the streets were not faking their defeat. But what's the profit for this guy helping them? Does he want to get Luffys bounty? by the thought of that Zoro gritted his teeth. Like he would ever let that happen. "Why do you help us?" he asked bluntly. The hood chuckled. "Honestly? I don't know. I just had the urge to help you guys." While running Zoro could get a glimpse of a small honest smile, so either that guy was really just helping out of a feeling - or a very talented actor. Maybe they could get to know that later. For now, they need to get off this damn island.

They saw Luffy pinned down by Smoker, but another hooded figure stood right behind him holding Smokers weapon. The wind got stronger. "A friend of yours?" Zoro asked. "Nope." His gray hooded companion answered with a tense tone in his voice. "Windblast!" They suddenly got caught in a wind channel and flew by Luffy and Sanji. "Luffy, run!" Zoro called impatiently "We're gonna be trapped on the island!" The four of them ran. "Who's this?" Sanji asked with a critical glance to the gray hooded Maha. "... something like a friend." she answered as Zoro did not respond.

They arrived at the harbor by ship. Maha had been looking around for Zaki but could not see him. "Hurry! Hurry! The rope won't hold much longer!" someone on deck screamed against the strong wind. All jumped on board. The ship was shaking heavily as the rope was thrown aboard to get free from the island. "There is a light" someone screamed. "That's the guiding light! Beyond that light is the entrance to the Grand Line!" a girl voice screamed back. Maha held onto the boat wondering herself what exactly had happened that she now was on board of a pirate ship with people she did not know. All because she had the feeling to help them. A small black shadow shot out of the sky directly towards her. "Zaki!" she caught the falcon that was completely wet, exhausted, and cried out his displeasure. "Oh I'm so so glad you're safe and sound" She cuddled the small bird of prey and wrapped him inside her hood. Down on the deck, the crew mates declared their dreams and hopes to each other while putting one foot on a barrel. They looked cheerful and happy despite the storm around them. "I'm really looking forward to that but...but who did you bring with you now?"
