Also, this short story will have many plot holes and inconsistencies; ignore them and enjoy the chaos I created purely on a whim. Like seriously, This whole thing was like a movie in my head as I listened to music that would fit a scenario like this story, so I ended up making this.
Parings, honestly, none. You'll see why if you read the story ;)
Like I do with most stories, I do them because I can't find any others. I make my own for others and for myself to enjoy,
So, as always, thanks for reading!
Blake had always been an avid reader of fairytales and legends. She had read countless stories, each one capturing her imagination and transporting her to a different world. However, among all these tales, she held one story above the rest - the Tale of the Eternal Brothers.
The story was about two brothers who were born with a unique energy called chakra. The older brother was a natural talent, while the younger one had to work hard to hone his skills. Despite their differences, they were always true to each other and fought for what they believed in.
However, their peaceful existence was short-lived. A war broke out between the two brothers and their allies, causing a rift between the family. The older brother joined the opposing side, feeling betrayed by his former comrades, while the younger brother stayed true to his beliefs.
The two brothers engaged in a fierce battle, causing the world to tremble beneath them. Their fight was so intense that it ended with both of them dying at each other's hands. But this was not the end of the story. The brothers were different from any other human beings. Their will to continue fighting and prove their point was so strong that even the heavens themselves feared them. As a result, they were not granted the privilege of eternal rest.
According to the legend, the two brothers had been locked in an eternal cycle of reincarnation, destined to fight each other until the end of time or until one of them was killed for good. Their feud was said to be so intense that it brought destruction and chaos wherever they went.
…
Until the Golden Child of Profacy was born.
Blake was lost in the Tale of the Eternal Brothers, a fairy tale she was currently reading. She sat alone at her desk in the team room, engrossed in the story and scribbling notes as she read. Time slipped by unnoticed, and she didn't even hear her teammate, a raven-haired girl, enter the room. Startled, Blake jumped when she felt something cold touch the back of her neck. Before she could react, she saw her team leader holding a can of soda and a small stack of papers.
Ruby flashed Blake a sheepish smile and waved. "Sorry about that," she said.
Blake took a moment to compose herself before letting out a sigh. "It's fine... I just didn't expect it."
"You know what they say, 'expect the unexpected'," Ruby quipped as she picked up the fallen chair and set the soda and papers down on the desk.
Blake rolled her eyes playfully but still picked up her notes and placed them back in her book before walking toward the bed. "So what did you need?"
"I was looking for you and Weiss, and I was wondering if you had time to look over these notes. They're about our upcoming project, and I just wanted a second opinion."
Blake's mind raced with the possibilities of what the project could be. "What kind of project is it? Is it for Professor Port or Doctor Oobleck?"
"Neither, it's for Ms. Goodwitch," Ruby replied.
Blake raised an eyebrow. "The one that's worth twenty-five percent of our grade and is due next week?"
Ruby nodded. "Yup, I've been working on it all day."
Blake was about to respond when their other teammate, Weiss Schnee, entered the room. The heiress was wearing her usual blue jacket and had her rapier strapped to her hip. "Hey Blake, Hey Ruby," Weiss greeted with a smile.
Ruby smiled and waved at her. "Hey."
Blake smiled and said, "Hey."
Weiss set her bags down on her desk and walked to her bed. As she was about to speak, she noticed the stack of papers on the desk. "Oh, what's that?"
"These are Ruby's notes for our project. She wants us to look them over," Blake said, her voice a little less enthusiastic than before.
Weiss raised an eyebrow. "Notes?"
Ruby spoke up, her tone friendly. "Yeah, I spent all day working on them, and I was wondering if the two of you would help me out with it."
"We've told you before that you don't have to do everything alone. We're a team," Blake chimed in.
Weiss added, "And if you need help, we'll help you."
Weiss walked over to the desk, and the three of them looked at the pages. The more they read, the more their faces dropped. Blake couldn't believe what she was reading. Not a single note on the page had any information about the project or their grade. She had no idea what they were even supposed to be doing. The page was just a bunch of random things; some were words, others were shapes, and a few were drawings of the girls. There was a picture of Weiss sleeping with a big drool bubble and a picture of Blake's cat ears. She had to admit that the drawing was pretty accurate.
She turned to Weiss, who was also reading the notes and, judging by the expression on her face, was just as confused as Blake. The heiress was silent for a while, and then she spoke. "What the hell is this?"
Ruby smiled brightly. "It's my notes."
"Notes? More like a bunch of scribbles. I can't even read a single word on this page," Weiss complained.
"But that's why I want your help, so we can go over everything and make sure that the project is perfect," Ruby countered.
Weiss and Blake exchanged looks, their expressions showing their shared concern. "Ruby, this is just a bunch of random things," Blake said.
Ruby frowned. "Well, yeah, but that's just because I wrote them down quickly. I know that the information is there."
"How do you know that the info is there?" Weiss asked, her tone gentle, but the question still had a hint of skepticism.
"Because I know what we're going to be doing for the project."
"And what is that?"
"I can't tell you."
Blake, a seasoned individual, was familiar with Ruby's peculiarities and unusual behavior. However, even he was taken aback by what was happening before her eyes. Ruby was up to her usual antics, but this time, it felt like she had crossed a line. Just as Blake was about to ask her to clarify what she meant, a faint rumbling noise caught her attention.
Before Blake could say anything, Ruby finished her sentence, and the door suddenly swung open, revealing Yang Xiao Long. Yang, a confident and athletic fighter, was wearing her usual yellow tank top and black shorts and holding a large paper bag. "Hey girls, what are we talking about?" she asked casually.
Blake handed the paper to Yang, who looked at it curiously before her expression quickly turned to confusion. "Is this supposed to be something?" she asked. "They're my notes," Ruby said, her annoyance evident in her voice. Yang looked at her younger sister and then back at the paper. "You know, you really need to stop spending so much time with Jaune," Yang said.
"I don't spend that much time with him. We're just friends," Ruby replied with a hint of irritation in her voice.
"Well, whatever the reason, you've gotten a lot worse. I don't think I can even read half of these words," Yang said, examining the paper carefully.
"What are we even supposed to be doing?" Weiss asked.
"Like I said, I can't tell you. It's a secret," Ruby replied.
"Ruby, you can't do this to us. We have to work together, and we can't do that if we don't know what we're supposed to be doing," Blake said sternly.
Ruby was quiet for a moment before finally relenting. "Fine, I'll tell you, but you have to promise me that you won't tell anyone and that you'll keep your cool," she said.
"Okay, okay, just tell us," Weiss said.
"We're supposed to build a model of the four kingdoms," Ruby said.
Blake and Weiss were silent for a moment, then they spoke. "Really?" they asked in unison.
"I can't believe it," Weiss said with a hint of disbelief in her voice.
"I know, I agree," Blake added, nodding in agreement.
"I don't know, I think it sounds fun," Yang said, taking a seat at her desk and biting into an apple.
"That's because you're a dolt. We're supposed to be learning about the world and becoming huntresses, not wasting our time on stupid projects," Weiss said, clearly irritated.
"Oh, come on, Weiss, lighten up. I'm sure the model won't..." Yang was cut off mid-sentence as the ground beneath them began to shake violently.
Blake was not expecting the shaking, and it made him feel a bit dizzy. "Woah, what was that?" she asked, trying to regain his balance.
"An earthquake, I think," Yang said, her voice trembling slightly.
"Why is it happening?" Weiss asked, her voice filled with fear.
"I'm not sure. I didn't know Vale had earthquakes," Blake replied, her voice calm despite the situation.
The ground continued to shake, and the lights in the room flickered on and off. The girls held onto the bed frame, hoping that it would stop soon.
Suddenly the shaking stopped, the lights stayed on, and the girls could finally breathe again. "What the hell was that?" Yang said, her voice filled with shock and confusion. The sound of the intercom coming to life drew the girls' attention, and they looked at the speaker above the door. The voice of their headmaster, Ozpin, echoed through the room. "Attention all students. Due to an unknown earthquake, classes have been canceled for the day. All students are to report to their rooms and stay there until further notice. Please, remain calm."
The sound of the intercom fizzed out, and the room was silent. The girls exchanged worried looks, and Yang spoke. "Well, that's weird. An earthquake in Vale? I didn't know it was possible." Blake shook her head. "I didn't either. Something doesn't feel right," she said. Weiss stood up, her voice shaky. "Let's just get some rest. We can talk about this later." The girls nodded and started getting ready for bed. Blake couldn't shake the feeling of dread that was growing inside her. Whatever had happened, she knew that things were about to get a lot worse.
The earthquake had struck hours ago, but Blake was still wide awake, her mind racing with thoughts of the day's events. She felt a sense of unease, a creeping feeling that something terrible was about to happen. Unable to shake off the feeling, Blake got out of bed and walked over to the window. She opened the curtains and peered outside. The night was dark and cold, but she could see a few distant lights flickering in the distance. She closed her eyes and listened to the wind as it whistled through the trees. The sound was soothing, and she felt her body relax a little.
Suddenly, Blake's eyes snapped open. She saw a flash of golden light far in the distance. She rubbed her eyes and looked again, and sure enough, there was another flash, followed by a loud boom. Blake watched as the light danced across the sky, transfixed and unable to look away. It was both beautiful and terrifying as if the sky was being torn apart. Blake stood there, watching as the lights flickered and flashed, losing track of time. Never before had she seen anything like it. It made the world seem so fragile, so vulnerable.
When Blake woke up the next morning, the sun had barely risen when she was startled awake by the sound of screaming. She jumped out of bed and ran to the window. She could see people running and shouting. The streets were filled with panic and chaos. Her heart was pounding in her chest, and she knew that something terrible was happening. She ran to the door and pulled it open.
As soon as she stepped outside, Blake was nearly trampled by a group of terrified students. She pushed her way through the crowd and headed towards the center of the commotion. When she arrived, she found herself in the middle of a panicked mob. Everyone was screaming and shouting, creating a chaotic cacophony of voices.
Blake looked around and saw several people pointing towards the sky. She followed their gaze and saw the source of their terror. Two titans were in the sky, facing each other. They were colossal beings, and the word 'titans' was the only one that seemed to fit. They stood motionless as if locked in a staring contest with each other. The sight was both surreal and terrifying, and Blake felt her heart race even faster.
"Ozpin, is that what I think it is?" questioned Glynda as she stared out the headmaster's office window.
Ozpin turned his attention from the coffee he was brewing to the two figures standing in the sky. He took a sip and looked up at the figures. "No. It is not the Brother Gods; they are something different. The question is, who are they, and what are they doing here?"
As I gazed upon the scene before me, my eyes widened in awe at the sheer magnitude of what I was witnessing. On the left stood a colossal figure, towering over the landscape at a height of over five hundred meters. Its humanoid shape was apparent, but what was most striking was its skin, which shimmered with a blue hue.
The lightning that crackled over its surface illuminated its form, with bolts shooting upwards toward nine miniature moons positioned behind it. The figure's only other discernible feature was the purple armor it wore and the long blade it held in its left hand, which glowed with the same blue energy as its skin.
On the right, I beheld a creature, unlike anything I had ever seen before. It was also of gargantuan proportions, stretching out to a length similar to its counterpart on the left. However, it was not of a humanoid shape. Instead, it resembled a nine-tailed golden fox, radiating with a brilliance that seemed to rival that of the sun.
The nine tails behind it were made of pure light, and they swayed with the creature's every movement. Black lines trailed its body, adding a striking contrast to its golden hue. Although it was not armored or armed, there was an unmistakable sense of power emanating from it, as if it could effortlessly vanquish any foe that dared to challenge it. Looking at this magnificent being, I couldn't help but feel as if someone had captured the very essence of the sun and condensed it into this creature.
A moment passed before Ozpin and Glynda could speak again. "It appears that a great power has descended onto Remnant."
In the sky...
The two towering figures locked eyes, their gazes intense and unyielding. Their bodies were tense, muscles coiled and ready to spring into action at a moment's notice. A deafening silence fell upon the area as the two giants stood in a tense stalemate, each one waiting for the other to make the first move. Suddenly, the figure on the right began to shift its weight, its movements slow and deliberate. It moved into a defensive posture, readying itself for a potential attack.
The figure on the left mirrored the movement, its own body shifting in response to the one on the right. Every detail of their body language was scrutinized, every twitch or movement analyzed for any sign of weakness or intent. The tension was palpable, and it was clear that any sudden movement could tip the scales and lead to an explosive confrontation.
Amidst the chaos of the battle, the two combatants stood facing each other with fierce determination. Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha, two powerful warriors, stared at each other as if the fate of the world rested on this fight. The sky above them was torn apart, and the earth beneath their feet was no longer solid, crumbling and falling apart with each impact of their attacks.
Naruto's voice was calm and measured as he spoke to Sasuke, "Something has changed. Did you feel it, too?"
Sasuke nodded gravely, his eyes scanning the sky, "I have a bad feeling about this, Naruto. I don't know what's happening."
The two warriors stood in silence, observing the chaos below. The only sounds were the distant cries of the people, who were terrified by the sheer power of the two combatants.
After a few moments, Naruto spoke again, his voice filled with uncertainty, "Do you think it's worth trying to talk to them, or should we just go ahead and fight?"
Sasuke shook his head, his expression grim, "I don't think they'll listen to us, Naruto. Look at them; they're weak and terrified."
Naruto sighed, his shoulders slumping, "I guess you're right. I just wish there was some way to avoid this."
The two continued to stare at each other, their eyes locking in a fierce stare-down. The air was heavy with anticipation as if a storm were brewing. Suddenly, Naruto's eyes flashed with a bright golden light, signaling Sasuke to step back.
The two warriors prepared for battle, their weapons glowing with energy. Naruto lunged forward with blinding speed, and Sasuke responded with equal ferocity, meeting Naruto's attack with his own. The clash of weapons and claws created a shockwave that sent out a massive burst of wind, causing the people below to scramble in terror.
Sasuke's eyes blazed with crimson as he activated his Sharingan, while Naruto's eyes were the color of the sun. Their attacks collided, creating a blast of energy that ripped apart the clouds and sent ripples across the landscape. The two figures remained locked in a stalemate, each trying to gain the upper hand.
Suddenly, the stalemate broke, and the two figures flew at each other, their weapons clashing. Sparks flew as their attacks met, and the ground beneath them began to crack. A massive explosion of energy erupted from the point of contact, sending out a shockwave that obliterated everything within a mile radius.
The two figures continued to fight, their movements a blur. As their attacks connected, the sky itself began to tear apart. Huge chunks of earth and stone were ripped from the ground and flung into the air, forming a ring of destruction around the two combatants.
The earth beneath their feet was no longer solid, and it began to collapse beneath them. The two figures leaped into the air, their attacks following suit. Each impact created another shockwave, which caused the earth to crumble and fall apart.
Finally, Naruto and Sasuke broke apart, both breathing heavily. They glared at each other, neither willing to concede defeat. Naruto spoke with conviction, "I don't think you understand what we're facing, Sasuke."
Sasuke responded with equal conviction, his eyes glowing with a fierce intensity, "I know exactly what we're facing. This isn't our world; I will be the only one leaving here alive while you. You will be a corpse!"
Naruto knew that there was no turning back now, "So, you want to do this the hard way. I can respect that. I'll just have to break every bone in your body then."
The two warriors prepared to engage each other once again, their eyes locked in a fierce stare. The people below cowered in fear, knowing that their fate was now in the hands of these two gods.
The two veteran hunters, Glynda and Ozpin, stood silently on a building's rooftop, their eyes fixated on the raging battle before them. They were both anxious and worried about the outcome of the fight, wondering how long it had been going on and who would emerge victorious.
Glynda turned to Ozpin and asked him who he thought would win the battle, but he remained silent, his expression stoic and grim. The two continued to watch, their eyes glued to the spectacle before them. The two titans were locked in an epic struggle, their immense powers on full display. Their figures kept flashing across the sky, and neither seemed willing to back down.
Glynda's apprehension grew as she turned to Ozpin and said worriedly, "They're both incredibly powerful. Who knows how long they've been fighting for?"
Ozpin's face was unreadable, and his gaze remained fixed on the two figures. "We should get ready to evacuate the city. If the fight gets out of control, it will be too late."
"Do you think we have a chance?" Glynda asked, her voice filled with nervousness.
"There is always a chance," Ozpin replied, "but if these two decide to fight in a populated area, it will not end well."
Glynda then asked Ozpin who the two fighters were, but he didn't know. He had never seen anyone or anything like them before, and he felt they were not from their world. When Glynda asked how he knew that, Ozpin said, "I just do. Something deep within me tells me this is not how things should be."
Glynda was confused by Ozpin's words, and she asked him to explain. But Ozpin's sudden outburst filled the air before he could answer, "Enough questions! This is not a game. People's lives are at stake. We must focus on the task at hand."
Glynda fell silent, shocked by Ozpin's anger and frustration. She watched the two figures continue their battle, her mind racing with possible solutions. But when she suggested that they try to talk to the fighters and offer them a peace treaty, Ozpin said it would be pointless. They were set on destroying each other, and there was no way to stop them.
Despite the hopeless situation, Glynda still held out a glimmer of hope and asked Ozpin if there was anything they could do. Ozpin turned to look at her, his gaze intense, "I will do everything I can. Just do what I asked you and call James, and tell him to eva-"
Before Ozpin could finish his sentence, a deafening explosion rocked everything around them, sending out a shockwave that could be felt for miles. The sky above them was torn apart, and a mushroom cloud appeared on the horizon. They both looked in the distance, where once there was a beautiful forest known as emerald forest, but now there was only a vast crater where everything was gone, vaporized.
Ozpin's eyes widened, and he stared in horror at the destruction. The landscape was utterly decimated, with nothing left but a barren wasteland.
"No!" Ozpin screamed.
He rushed forward, trying to reach the spot where the explosion occurred, but he knew it was futile. Glynda was frozen in shock and horror, her eyes wide with disbelief. She could not believe what she was seeing.
"The Students..." she whispered.
Ozpin stopped in his tracks, his shoulders slumping. "They're all dead. All of them."
Glynda's knees buckled, and she fell to the ground, tears streaming down her face. The two of them had earlier told the students of Beacon Academy to move to the forest in case the school building collapsed, but none of them had expected a scene like this.
Ozpin felt a lump in his throat as he turned away from the destruction. "This is all my fault. I should have done something, anything! I failed them,...Again," he said, his voice choked with emotion.
Glynda looked up at him, her eyes filled with tears, "You couldn't have known."
Ozpin clenched his fists, his jaw clenched tight, "Yes, I could have! I should have listened to my gut, not a bunch of idiots! This was a trap. A trap set up by those bastards."
Glynda's voice was laced with concern as she asked Ozpin, "What do you mean?" However, Ozpin remained silent, his gaze distant and lost in thought. Just then, their conversation was interrupted by a familiar voice calling out to them. It was Blake, one of the students at Beacon Academy. Her clothes were covered in dirt and dust, but she seemed to be unharmed.
Glynda's relief was palpable as she said, "Blake, thank goodness you're safe." Blake's response was shaky as she informed them that she had managed to escape, but she was unsure about the fate of others.
Ozpin's expression was grave as he ordered Blake to leave, "I'm glad you're alright, but you must leave. This is not a place for a student." Blake was visibly confused by Ozpin's sudden urgency, "But why? What's going on?" Ozpin's gaze was intense as he replied, "There is no time to explain. Just go." Despite her hesitation, Blake reluctantly turned away and started running towards the city.
As soon as Blake was out of sight, Ozpin ran after her, stopping her in her tracks. He handed her his cane, saying, "I want you to get as far away from here as possible." Blake was still concerned about the safety of the citizens in the city, but Ozpin was firm, "That is not your concern. Take my cane; it'll protect you. And lastly, don't stop running." Blake nodded and started running once again.
Watching her go, Ozpin's expression softened as he said, "She's a good kid." However, his resolve was far from broken as he turned to Glynda, "Glynda, you're a good teacher and one of the best Huntresses I've ever known." Glynda was worried as she asked, "What are we going to do, Ozpin?"
Ozpin was determined, "I'm going to find out who or what is responsible for this, and I'm going to make them pay." Glynda was concerned about Ozpin going alone, "I'm not going to let you do this alone." However, Ozpin reminded her of her duty, "You have a job to do, Glynda. I have a feeling this is just the beginning."
Glynda was curious, "Then, what do you suggest we do?" Ozpin's response was clear and concise, "First, we evacuate the city and find a safe place to shelter. Then, we prepare for hell." Glynda was shocked, "Hell?" Ozpin's expression was firm, "Yes, Glynda. Hell. There is no other way to describe it."
Glynda took a deep breath, preparing herself for the task ahead, "Very well, I will do my part. Good luck, Ozpin." Ozpin was grateful, "Thank you, Glynda. You as well." As Ozpin turned to leave, Glynda watched him walk away, her heart heavy with worry.
She couldn't help but wonder if they would be able to stop whatever was coming.
As Glynda went on her way, she noticed the sky had become strangely dark.
Back in the sky...
Naruto's voice reverberated through the vast expanse of the sky, filled with a sense of urgency and desperation. He frantically scanned the horizon, searching for any sign of life or movement, but there was nothing but silence. Sasuke's stray attack had hit a forest bustling with life signatures, and now everything was wiped out.
With a calm yet angry tone, Naruto demanded Sasuke, "Is this how it's supposed to be? Is this really what you want?"
Sasuke stood tall, arms crossed, and responded with an air of arrogance, "It's too late for talk now, Naruto. We're past the point of no return."
Naruto's fists clenched in frustration, "Why did it have to come to this, Sasuke?"
Sasuke's voice was cold and emotionless: "They were weak. They didn't deserve to live. I will purge the world of its imperfections and create a perfect world. A world without war, conflict, or pain.
Naruto could feel the rage rising within him, "That's not your choice to make, Sasuke. You're not a god."
Sasuke's expression was hard and unyielding, "I am the only one worthy of this power. You're a pathetic fool who will never understand my vision."
Naruto could no longer contain his emotions, "You arrogant bastard! I'm going to beat some sense into your thick skull!"
Their clashing blows echoed throughout the heavens, causing the ground beneath them to tremble with the force of their fight.
Far away from the planet Remnant...
A strange and eerie sight was unfolding in the vast expanse of space. The stars shone brilliantly, illuminating the night sky's darkness and offering a glimpse into the vastness of the universe. The beauty of the cosmic display was awe-inspiring, and one could sense the majesty of creation. However, the air was heavy with an ominous feeling, as if something dangerous and unknown lurked in the shadows.
As the stars flickered and dimmed, a dark cloud crept across the heavens, swallowing up everything in its path. It was as if an unknown force was consuming all the light in the universe. As the darkness enveloped the sky, a strange and terrifying sight appeared.
The two brother Gods, responsible for creation and destruction, were returning to Remnant. Their arrival signaled a time of great change and upheaval, with the fate of the universe hanging in the balance. The stars seemed to tremble at their presence as if they knew the danger ahead. The universe was about to witness a cosmic battle of epic proportions, and the outcome would determine the fate of all creation.
To Be Continued.
Well, Well, Well. It would seem that this story is done for now. Do not worry; I just lost some data. The rest will be up later once I get the urge to finish this.
It won't be long :)
