Demona flew over the night sky. Her wings spread wide as she veered through and over the sky high buildings. The wind felt cool against her skin and she smiled a rare smile, enjoying the moment of peace.

She stretched her back muscles and flexed her talons, attempting to let the frustration of the day as her human self, melt away.

It was such a pain in the ass being Dominique and running a business for literally no reason other than to make a name for herself.

Even as an ugly human, she refused to live as a poor one. That little shit of a fae would not get a laugh on her expense. She would make the most of her human self and she would get what she wanted when she wanted it.

A smirk graced her face when she realized Dominique Destine could be used to one up one particular pain in her ass, the filthy human Elisa Maza.

She growled softly. The stupid woman would be out on the streets once she was done with her. If she couldn't kill her yet, she would make sure her life was miserable.

The captain of her workforce wished to celebrate their years on the force and one of the detectives promotions in a newly established hotel out in the middle of a place called the Bahamas.

It so happened that Dominique Destine owned said hotel and had extended the invitation to the Captain Chavez herself. Demona smiled, she would let the captain know just how rude and ugly the human woman was to her and let her boss take it from there. Her work would be done and Elisa Maza would be humiliated and let go from her career.

The thoughts brought Demona a little satisfaction for now. She soared lower towards the ground, letting her ideas bring her peace as she began to land in front of her manor, ready for the day to begin.

Elisa sat down on her couch, sighing. Goliath was insistent that she not go on the trip with her partner but she couldn't just say no. This was a possible promotion in the works and she did not want to pass it up. It was only three nights in the hotel of her captains choice.

She felt a bit excited at the idea of leaving the big city behind in exchange for a beach resort. It had been a long time since she had let herself unwind and go somewhere that wasn't a magical realm full of creatures trying to kill her or staying in the city where the thugs were constantly keeping her on her toes.

Goliath would just have to understand, this was her desicion. She was a big girl and could handle herself.

A strong rap at the window alerted her and snapped her out of her thoughts.

He was there.

Opening the window, his gigantic frame squeezed through, wings draped across his strong shoulders. "Elisa."

She stood up slowly.

"Hey big guy." She smiled at him as he moved forward, hugging her cautiously as if she were made of glass.

"Are you still going on your…trip?" He clicked his tongue on the last word.

She nodded as she fumbled around for her suitcase, zipping it up. "I need to and I hope you understand Goliath. Matt needs his partner and the raise will do me some good financially." She gestured to her rather bare apartment.

The tall violet gargoyle shook his head, "You could live with the clan Elisa. You do not have to live in this….place." His taloned finger pointed towards her living area, "You do not have to worry about money."

Elisa sighed, "It isn't just money big guy, I have to support Matt, he has always supported me and this is a great step for him, becoming the lead in our department."

She watched as Goliath began pacing back and forth, mulling her words over. "Then take Bronx with you, he can protect you."

She laughed at the suggestion, "Do I carry him in my suitcase?" Shaking her head, "I will be okay Goliath."

He moved closer to the human woman, his wings unfurling around her, "What do I do here for three days while you are gone?"

She smiled, "Read?"

Goliath leaned down, kissing her gently. "I suppose I shall catch up on the latest books in Xanatos library." He smirked and held her to him.

Elisa felt frisky in the moment and brushed against him, her breasts grazing his lower abdomen. She watched as he looked down at her, growling. His voice was low as he gently pushed her away, "No Elisa, not yet." He gave her another kiss on her lips, his wings moving away from her.

She stood and watched as he slowly moved to the open window, "We will be together soon my Elisa, but not yet." He smiled softly. A whoosh sounded as his wings spread wide and he glided off of her balcony.

The human watched her gargoyle lover as he soared in the night sky. She touched her lips and sighed. He was always pushing her away. She wanted to be with him in every way but each time he made an excuse that it wasn't the right time yet. Kisses and pet names only did so much for her.

She could feel the wetness forming in her panties as she thought of how much she wanted him to literally tear her clothes off and just fuck her against a wall. It seemed tonight it was just her and her vibrator once again. With another sigh, she locked the window and headed to the room, discarding her shirt and bra along the way.
