Metropolis
It was a calm, seemingly peaceful night in the city of Metropolis. The globe of the Daily Planet was seen slowly spinning on it's axis, with it's shiny golden glow. On the rooftop of the build was a man standing on the edge, only he was no ordinary man.
He wore a blue suit with a yellow belt and red boots, he donned a floor length red cape that flowed through the wind. On his chest was a very distinct and special red and yellow symbol that resembled an S, but it wasn't an S, it was a ancient alien symbol that meant hope.
This man's name was Clark Kent, or as the public liked to call him, Superman. He was sent to this world as an infant after his father predicted the destruction of his world, Krypton. He was raised by a humble farming couple in Kansas who taught him how to better control his abilities and try to let him live a normal life.
But when his human father died, Clark knew he had to go and figure where he came from and why he was sent here. His journeys took him north where a strange crystal created a giant ice fortress, a fortress of solitude.
It was then he met Jor-EL, his Kryptonian father who told him all about his home world and why he was sent to Earth. It was then he decided to use his powers to protect mankind. By day he was mild manner reporter Clark Kent, but whenever there was danger or he was needed he became one of the worlds greatest heroes.
Clark stood on the edge of the of the Daily Planet building, red cape flowing in the wind looking out at the city while also listening for signs of trouble. As he listened, he could make out the sound of jet boosters in the distance but they weren't at flying altitude and they appeared to be getting closer. He turned towards the sound and saw a streak of red and gold flying towards him, Clark knew who it was as did the rest of the planet.
Not too much longer, Iron Man landed in his signature pose in front of the Kryptonian.
"I wondered if I would meet one of you guys would pay a visit" Clark joked as Tony exited his suit.
"Yeah sorry about the wait but stuff comes up" Tony retorted with a smirk, Clark approached him and extended his hand which Tony graciously accepted.
"It's an honor to meet you, Mr. Stark"
"Please call me Tony, Mr. Kent" The use of his name took Clark back by surprise, the look of shock must've been evident because it caused Tony to chuckle.
"Don't worry, your identity is safe with us, we have no intentions on revealing who you are to the world without your consent." Tony reassured which gave Clark some comfort, Tony then continued.
"However this isn't a social call, I need you to come to Avengers tower with me"
Clark raised an eyebrow
"What for?" he asked
"Let's just say we have a problem that we could use all the help we can get"
"What can I do to help?" Clark asked wanting to help in anyway he can, Tony smirked at his response before getting back into his suit.
"Follow me Superman" he said before taking off, Clark stood for a second taking in what just happened. Was he worthy enough to help the Avengers? Would he be able to help? These thoughts swirled through his mind before he took off and followed Iron Man to New York.
