Ladybug checked the clock as she scrubbed at the dishes. Cat would be home from work soon, and she had the spaghetti bubbling away in the pot. The scents of garlic and tomatoes hung heavy in the air, making her mouth water. Ladybug was pregnant, and being home she snacked throughout the day as she worked on her sewing at either her sewing desk or in the rocking chair Cat had gotten her as a wedding present.

"Bugaboo, I'm home!" Cat called. It didn't matter how many times he said that since their marriage, she always felt a rush of joy run through her. He was finally hers, to love and cherish and be the best Bugaboo she could be.

"Hi, love. How was the bakery today?" "Busy," Cat stretched his arms. Cat worked at Ladybug's parents bakery and now that Autumn was here and Halloween was peeking around the corner, Cat was busier then ever. Cat yawned, and groaned softly. "Come on, I'll have food on the table in a few minutes."

Cat's wife hummed as she set the table, and Cat smiled at how beautiful she looked, her pretty black hair pulled back in a fluffy ponytail. Ladybug felt Cat staring at her, and looked up in concern. "Honey, you okay?" "I'm in so much pain," Cat whispered. Cat was still having growth spurts and the pain, though he could handle it, wasn't fun and he was always hungry.

"Your just growing and its normal to feel pain. Now, come eat your dinner." Cat plopped down with a sigh. After supper, he planned to soak in the tub, and then snuggle with Ladybug…..

"Merow," Cat meowed mournfully as Ladybug set down his plate. Leaves. Green leaves stared at Cat from his plate. "This isn't food, this is grass clippings," Cat pouted. "I'm eating it, and your gotta eat your greens before you get the good stuff." "My Lady, I think those green energy drinks are messing with your head." But he gave his leaves a poke before bringing them to his mouth. "Here, ranch helps."

Okay, that tasted better. Finally, Ladybug brought the spaghetti. "Oh, boy, I can't wait for the worms!" Cat devoured his food, getting red sauce all over his face and Ladybug staring at him. "If I was a mommy bird, I'd be appalled." "You are going to be a Mommy. A mommy ladybug that is." "Yeah, who missing her morning coffee." "You can always drink decaf," Cat sang. "Just for that, your helping me with the dishes."

Cat wheezed when he stood up, and Ladybug ran over. "Love, please don't have a hairball. I just mopped this morning. How about you take a soak in the tub, and you can buy me a drink in the morning?"

Cat nodded, glad to have gotten out of dishes, but still sore. Ah, well. After a good bath, he could cuddle and his lady did give the best scritches after all!
