Two days before Undying One's infiltration of Rory's Metal, Gerald has arrived in Leidenschaftlich with some light supplies like tent kit and binocular (while sneaking in a revolver) to proceed with his sabotage. His plan was to burn down the workshop and leave Euler with no infrastructure to continue his hoax of Undying One.

Gerald then spent some time trying to gather meaningful information, such as Euler's regular activity, a pattern of Undying One's movement, or even some clues regarding Undying One's hideout (which was Euler's workshop in Gerald's mind). But he gained little out of this.

On one day, Gerald was baffled by how the police was handling the situation with Undying One. "What do you mean the military is not involved in this? Doesn't he at least come close to posing national threat?" Gerald asked an officer in the police station.

"Well, according to Mr. Pierce, the way he analyzed it was that Undying One can't just be solved by an inclusion of 'simplistic' brute force of military force. Trust us, we felt that when we were confronted by him helplessly. But the good news for us is that his gadgets proved useful in giving us a chance to resist Undying One." The officer replied.

"Simplistic, you say? What about deploying recons to look for its hideout? Stationing soldiers around high-value infrastructure like banks? If you've been doing nothing but fighting him head on with 'gadget' of yours and not trying to learn something about Undying One, I'd say that is no different 'simplistic brute force'."

"Ugh, not this again." Officer Mike said from beside. "We had a boss of CH Postal company complain to us before because his worker is Violet, the one whose been a nuisance to us. What about you? Why do you care?"

"Is the desire to be of help in taking down Undying One not good enough for you?" Gerald asked.

"You new around here? The emergency law said that any disruption to police force fighting Undying One is a punishable crime. You asked about Mr. Pierce whereabout too, right? If you were looking to work under him and be a hero somehow, then forget it. We can't afford to leak his address to public or else Undying One may kill him."

Gerald then deduced what was going on here. But it didn't change that he was frustrated that his search for information was getting him nowhere. It may be true that he knew where to search for Euler's workshop, but he didn't want to risk encountering Euler in his workshop; he will suit up and surely kill Gerald if that happened. Besides, due to security of train station, he couldn't carry too many weapons, and he barely managed to sneak in a revolver as well.

The next day, when Gerald was thinking of another way, or even considering finding and sabotaging Euler's workshop blindly, there was an explosion nearby. Hoping that it was Undying One's activity, he went towards the source of the explosion sound, and used his binoculars.

But after a while, it turned out to be some mediocre terror act from a bunch of criminals. As they were arrested, they were constantly shouting that Undying One was the one to blame, that he secretly met them with a promise that they would be rewarded with power like his if they helped him destroy certain valuables of the city. Yet Undying One didn't come as promised.

As Gerald was about to leave the scene in disappointment, an old man came shouting that Undying One was infiltrating Rory's Metal and they needed help. At first police doubted, but after the old man's insistence, the police decided to request other officers via radio communication to investigate Rory's Metal. Gerald also followed the police there.

When they arrived, they noticed through window that Undying One was being beaten up and got cornered. The police then frantically called for reinforcements. After a while, explosion was heard, and Undying One came bolting out at an alarming speed. Even though Undying One was beaten up, the sight of large metal figure running at such speed intimidated Gerald to his bones.

"I don't know how, but he's quite beat up, so he's got to go through repair. Now is the time for me to search for that workshop." Gerald then hurried and found a taxi to drive him to the area that he could search for Euler's workshop.

Even when Gerald arrived at the plains, it was still a large area for him to search through. But it wasn't about to stop him. He spent all afternoon tirelessly searching for Euler's workshop until the evening. Eventually, at the sundown, Gerald found himself within a forest. As he was about to set up a tent, he heard sound of tools at work from a distance. Gerald followed the source and found chain fence surrounding a rather large wooden cottage.

"Found you." Gerald then positioned himself behind some bush to conceal himself, patiently watching with his binoculars to see Euler come out of workshop and sabotage the workshop for good. He waited for hours, then he heard a chain fence being opened and closed, a car starting and departing the workshop.

His plan was to burn down the workshop, so first he cleared nearby vegetations to reduce likelihood of fire spreading. Then he went to the entrance and was relieved that it was locked by an ordinary lock, presumably because Euler didn't expect anyone to come here. He broke down the lock and entered the workshop.

On the inside, Gerald was impressed by the complex tools and machineries that Euler used to do all his works. He then spotted the tall metal figure known as Undying One at the corner of the room. It all confirmed what Gerald suspected.

Gerald took out a match and looked at the workshop one last time. "Your reign ends now, Anointed One." Lighting several of matches, he threw them at each corner of the workshop. Then he walked out of the workshop and observed from distance. Though rainclouds hovered over him, he suspected that the wooden workshop would be significantly burned down before the rain put out the fire.

Gerald looked up to the sky. "My friend Alexei, our nightmare is coming to an end. When this is over, this treasonous and wretched friend shall come rest by your side."
