Chapter 6: Riot

Tommy walks into Ken's office and finds him talking to a cowboy-looking person.

"Avery, it goes without saying…Tommy! Tommy! Any progress?" He was about to say something and was immediately cut off by Ken "No,no,no…Tell me later, tell me later. Tommy, this is Avery Carrington…I believe you met at the party?"

Tommy pulls his hand out to Avery, "Not in person."

"Howdy." Avery respectably shakes his hand.

"Avery here has a proposition." Ken says with a bit of delight.

Tommy leans into Ken and asks, "Haven't we got other things on our mind?" Implying what Ken was doing was some sort of nonsense to him.

"I'm trying to keep the wolves from the door, so could you please cut me some slack?" he directly replied to him, so he could defend what he was doing at make it seem that this meeting wasn't just some waste of time.

"I'm stretched like a wire and even if I'm dead by the end of the week, I'd like to think I didn't die poor."

Avery, now aware that this could get intense between the two, automatically intervened, "Now calm down the both of you." He then looks at Tommy, who was sitting down at the armrest of the sofa. " Son, you help me and any greaseballs giving you a hard time, I'll see to it they take a long dirt nap."

"Ok. What can I do for ya'?"

Avery, now seeing the heat died down, and got the attention of Tommy, started to explain,"This delivery company's got it's depot on some prime land. They won't sell. They're hanging on like a big old prairie rat. So we gotta go in there and smoke that vermin out."

"Head on down there and stir up a hornet's nest…the security will have their hands full, and then you can sneak in and put 'em out of business." Says it with confidence to him, believing that the job will be done.

Ken the slid in the conversation, "And you could drop by Raffles's for a change of clothes. You might be there for a while, but yeah, go for it."

"Should be a riot."

"If the balls drop like they should, stop by my office sometime…"

Tommy then leaves the office, and wondered.

"Who are these pricks anyway? Lawyer pricks, Long-wearing pricks, I'm surrounded by pricks!"

He drives to Raffles's to pick up some overalls, before driving to the Spand Express depot. Once there, Tommy sees that the workers are on strike and just behind the strikers, were the garbage trucks that he could also destroy to put them out of business, he begins the chaos by attacking some of the striking workers, once they were distracted enough, he sneaks his way into the entrance where a few security guards were on standby, he then kills the security guards and destroys the three delivery trucks parked there.
