ESKK: Here it is the final chapter of the Geonosis Arc. Can't believe we made it this far but here it is. Anyway, be sure to provide me with reviews they drive me to do my chapters.
(Starts Arthur Republic Clean Up)
The Republic forces were busy with clean up now that the battle for this planet had come to an end. The Search for Poggel was well underway as they knew full well that if he escapes, then they will lose valuable enemy intelligence he had. Luminara had remained on the planet as Obi-Wan had returned after getting his injuries treated. A new process they were employing was that after any Falspawn confrontation any and all troops are to undergo immediate F-Factor cleaning and medical checks. After seeing many become mindless monsters cause of the F-Factors no one argued against it when this decision was made.
Ahsoka and Barriss were being scanned by ARKs Medics as were Yuvel and Laura. Laura of course had to be isolated and quarantine as her near Dark Falz possession had put her in a bit of a bind. They could not risk any possible missed signs that she might still be possessed by Dark Falz. So far, the initial scans showed up as her being clean, but one could not entirely sure with the Dark Falz.
"Ok lady Jedi you two are clean." The Medic said removing her goggles to speak with the pair easier.
"Thank goodness." Ahsoka said as she was happy to know F-factors were not affecting her for the time being here.
Laura, Ahsoka, Yuvel, and Barriss all had to stay for extra checks in case Apprentice left behind surprises for a possible Trojan Horse level sleeper agent. They were clear and thus they were all free to go after such heavy-duty checks on the gathered four. They were at ground zero with her so it would not be surprising if the Dark Falz did try something against the heroes.
"So, any updates on Poggel or Apprentice?" Yuvel asked as he looked to the medic wondering if there were any news updates from either front.
"You'll have to speak to the General for any information on that." The Medic said while cleaning up all his medical tools. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have other patients I need to look over for injuries and F-Factor infections." He said and with that took his leave of the quartet.
"Well, he seemed pleasant." Ahsoka said while noting the guy's rude tone to the four.
"He's just stressed we just got out of a major battle, and he has a whole legion of wounded to look after." Laura said coming to the medic's defense there.
"She's right Ahsoka… the number of wounded it must be insurmountable." Barriss added trailing off when she had said that.
"I guess your right." Ahsoka responded seeing where Barriss was coming from when she spoke.
"Well, I'm just glad the fight is over, I'm going to use this as an excuse for some shore leave a nice trip to the beach with sun water, and a tropical drink in hand." Yuvel said looking forward to some much-needed shore leave after finishing the Battle of Geonosis.
"Don't get ahead of yourself hotshot that's more Reggie's specialty." Ahsoka said teasing Shura a bit who in response just rolled her eyes. This elected a small giggle from Laura as she watched the scene.
But looking in the mirror Laura saw her now silver hair and had to ask the medic. "Hey doctor." Laura began as she got the medics attention. "I've been meaning to ask is there a way to fix this?" Laura said taking a lock of her hair for emphasis.
"Sorry a side effect of your near Dark Falz Possession your hair will be stuck like that for the foreseeable future, so I suggest you get used to it." The doctor said and thus Laura could only sigh in defeat here.
"Goes I'm no longer a brunette." Laura said sulking a bit before looking over to her friend. "I'm a bleach girl now." She said and thus Yuvel looked a bit guilty over what had happened to Laura because he didn't see the signs of her issues sooner. If Yuvel had noticed it soon then he could have tried harder to get his friend looked over before it went too far.
"Hey, jerks you finally got the bill of health!?" Reggie was heard and in turn all eyes looked to see he and Zurna approaching them.
"He would not stop asking me to check on things until I actually came here." Zurna added with a joke while making a small jab at the CAST with her.
"We'll we're all clean and healthy so no Apprentice Vernal meat puppets here." Ahsoka said as she looked to the two newly arrived ARKS Operatives.
"And we are grateful for that one even if Apprentice got away from us." Zurna said but Yuvel begged to differ.
"No… I don't think we've lost Apprentice just yet." Yuvel said as this got everyone to look at him. "Call it a hunch or even a gut feeling but she seems far too petty to leave things like this." Yuvel said making it clear that he knew Apprentice sort the vain and petty types.
"You think she is still on Geonosis?" Barriss asked with a raised brow to Yuvel.
"It's a big planet tunnels and all plenty of places for her to hide while she prepares her final gambit." Yuvel said and in turn this got everyone worried now.
Zurna saw where Yuvel was going with this and knew someone had to voice his meaning. "We've seen what Elder can do when he goes all out, and Apprentice hasn't gone all out yet." Zurna said and thus looked directly at the Jedi. "We may need to get ready." Zurna said and thus Ahsoka was the next to speak up.
"Ready for what exactly?" Ahsoka asked wanting to know what has the ARKS Operatives worried.
"This is the calm we need to be ready for the storm that is approaching." Zurna said and thus Reggie would have laughed if he was not also nervous here.
"Why can't things ever be simple?" Reggie asked clearly not liking the fact that Yuvel and Zurna were both correct.
(Meanwhile over with Luminara Undulii)
Jedi Master Luminara overlooked the remains of the battlefield where the remains of the destroyed Droid Factory was. The Mirilian Jedi could see ARKS Operatives moving to where they were needed to clean up the F-Factors of the area and Clone Troopers making sure all was accounted for during cleanup.
Just then two Gunships flew in and landed behind the Jedi to allow its passengers to leave. From the ships Obi-Wan, Arthur, and several Clones and ARKS Operatives stepped out to meet with Luminara. "This has been a hard-fought victory for us." Arthur said as he approached the Mirilian Jedi with Obi-Wan by his side.
"Indeed." Luminara said but had some misgivings on this. "But it is also a costly one." She said as Arthur agreed on that one also.
"We've suffered a great deal of losses in these battles." Arthur began as he then stood next to Luminara looking over the worn battlefield. "There are many good ARKS Operatives who won't be returning home to their loved ones and many more loved ones who find themselves hosting a funeral instead of a celebration of their return." Arthur said with a tone showing his remorse for this the burden of leadership that he must endure. Before awakening as his Avatar Arthur was a leader of soldiers his unit on the front lines in Iraq during the war against ISIS and Osama Binladen. Arthur had seen many things in that time but had held hope that justice would prevail through it.
"The battles do appear to be coming with growing frequency." Obi-Wan said and thus Luminara got the memo.
"No sign of Poggle, then?" She asked looking to Obi-Wan.
"Nothing." Obi-Wans aid as Arthur seemed to be deep in thought. "We have clone squadrons spread out all over the area but no hits yet." Obi-Wan reported as the CAST heard the words shared from the Jedi.
"Sorry to be the wet blanket, as the kids say these days, but Poggle is currently the least of my concerns." Arthur said as he knew something was not right after the battle against Apprentice.
"Your concerned about Apprentice the Vernal." Obi-Wan said as he looked to the CAST.
"How can I not be?" Arthur asked speaking from someone who had more then his fair share of troubles facing off against the Dark Falz collective. "We beat her, but she didn't try body hopping which suggests her body didn't suffer enough damage to warrant it." Arthur said which was the first bit of why he was concerned.
"It could be that she ported out before the Factory exploded." Obi-Wan offered but Arthur wasn't convinced on that one.
"She was treated like a goddess and for someone as vain as her she wouldn't give it up without a fight." Arthur said but had more to add. "More than that for someone as vain and petty as Apprentice I find it hard to believe she'd resist retaliating over a defeat like this." Arthur said as he feared that this quiet was just the calm before the storm.
"Do you suspect she might try and fight back?" Obi-Wan asked before Luminara cut in.
"With what forces?" Luminara asked finding it hard to believe anyone can be that petty or arrogant. "Beyond her Falspawn she barely has the resources to support a campaign like that." Luminara said but Arthur had another counter for that.
"Obi-Wan remember the Battle for Ryloth when Dark Falz [Elder] The Gargantuan had transformed and took the battle to space?" Arthur asked and thus Obi-Wan saw where Arthur was going.
"You suspect Apprentice will do the same?" Obi-Wan asked with concern etched into his voice.
"I don't think she will I'm certain that she will." Arthur said meaning that they had to find Apprentice and take down the Dark Falz.
"So, we either divert our attention to stopping Apprentice from taking Geonosis back just after we managed to secure it, or we focus on Poggle and risk a possible disaster." Luminara said but she was still skeptical about Arthur's warnings to them. "Are we absolutely certain that Apprentice will even make a move?" Luminara asked not at all convinced that putting off on locating Poggle was a good idea here.
The saying goes that one should not tempt fate for fate will no doubt answer. In this event Luminara may have unknowingly done so because as if to answer her question the entire ground began to shake around them. From the looks of things, the rumblings were centered around the destroyed Droid Factory as this was not a natural occurrence. What made it clear that this may have been done by the Dark Falz was when the ground literally began to blast open at certain areas releasing billows of black/crimson smoke.
Clones were trying to move to safety while ARKS Operatives were making sure everyone got out of there. Even the ships were not spared as one of them was on one of the billows exit points when it burst open. Whatever was going on it was clear that ARKS Operatives and Republic Forces on Geonosis were in trouble because Apprentice was not done here. Just then one massive hole burst open leading to an ominous glow inside as it was large enough that a large vehicle could roll inside. As the rumblings began to calm down around them all one fact became clear here, the Battle of Geonosis was still in progress. Dark Falz [Apprentice] The Vernal was not out of the fight yet.
Back on the cliff Arthur held Luminara so she did not fall over as many troopers on the ground regained their footing from the rumblings. Looking to the dark smoke billowing out of the ground Arthur knew who was responsible for this turn of events.
"Ask and ye shall receive." Arthur said and thus they had to get moving and figure out what had happened. "Admiral Yularen contact General Skywalker and the 501st I fear the Battle of Geonosis is far from over." Arthur said contact the Admiral so they can gather what forces they have left to fight back. But then he stopped for a moment as he needed to check something out also. "Also get me some probes I'll explain why back on the ship." Arthur said and thus he got to the Gunship and got before signaling the two Jedi to get on as well. Not needing to be told twice Obi-Wan and Luminara got on the Gunship with Arthur before it took off for the Resolute.
(Scene Break The Resolute Later)
Later, on the Resolute the group was gathered in the combat planning room with Arthur and Xect glaring at the screen showing what the Probe sees. A little while ago they had sent a probe into the cave to figure out what had just happened. It was clear that this earthquake was not natural based on the plumes of smoke coming from all of the holes that had burst open.
In the room was Anakin, Obi-Wan, Luminara, and Ki-Adi of the Jedi and Arthur, Xect, and Kara of ARKS Ops. The probe showed to them the interior of the cave as it continued to go deeper into the cavern sending back scans to the group.
"Pardon me but I fail to understand why we must do this?" Yularen said as he watched what they were doing.
"This was no natural Earthquake Admiral and by the looks of it, ARKS has an idea to what caused it." Anakin explained as they observed the Scout Probes findings. "Whatever is down there must have been the earthquakes cause." The Chosen One added as they continued to monitor what the probe was currently seeing.
"I do not like this something dark and ominous is afoot." Ki-Adi said as they continued to watch the viewing.
"And with that I cannot argue old friend." Obi-Wan agreed as they continued to watch.
Their viewing did not last much longer as soon after going through smaller parts of the cave the Probe made its way through a massive cavern. The probe clearly found something as the light of the F-Factor and acid covered ground showed to them all said cavern. But it was what laid at the end that got them all worried because what they found was a massive cocoon deep underground and with it a pulsing similar to a heartbeat.
"Is that?" Luminara was the first to ask and thus Arthur nodded to the Jedi's Question.
"Yes, Master Jedi, it's Dark Falz [Apprentice] the Vernal." Arthur confirmed and thus they all knew that Apprentice was changing.
"Just like with Elder if she's allowed to emerge our armies won't stand a chance." Anakin said knowing that their forces were tired from the battle and needed to recover.
"I don't think Apprentice will give us a chance." Arthur said and thus Xect spoke up.
"We need to act fast and take her out before she can emerge." Xect said and thus it was clear that they may have to cut the hunt for Poggle the Lesser short. This current crisis was more important then hunting down the bug. "And thankfully the Research and Development department has sent us a new toy before we began the battle of Geonosis." Xect said and thus he pulled up the image of the new toy in question.
"This is the Photon Particle Canon it should have the firepower needed to break through Apprentice's cocoon and hit her where it hurts." Xect said and thus Anakin had to ask while looking at the weapons specs.
"Why didn't you guys use it sooner?" Anakin asked with a raised brow seeing how it could have been useful during the campaign.
"Its only a prototype and even then, it suffers from a massive energy drain its only good for a few shots as is." Xect said making it clear why they didn't employ using it before. "Any more questions about this?" Xect asked and thus no one voiced any more debate. "Good, we'll need to figure out the best path to take to our objective but until then gather our best to prepare for this operation." Xect said and thus the Jedi and Admiral got to work on gathering a legion. They were going to need all the help they can get if they were to take on Dark Falz Apprentice.
Only Arthur, Xect, and Klara were left in the room as they looked to each other with concern over this the battle they were apart to take part in. After all they had good reason to be concern because while they had no doubt a good part of this mission will be like the Urgent Quest Queens Nightmare: Earths Depths but they were lacking. Without access to the Dark Blasts, they couldn't take the fight to the sky if or when Apprentice bursts out. But then again, they were cut off from a lot of their equipment on Omega so it could not be helped at the time. So, it might be a good idea to have the AIS Units set up for the possibility of failure underground. They could only hope that the AIS units can compensate for their lack of Dark Blasts.
With Yularen out of the room Klara was the first to start speaking. "So, we're really going to do this?" Klara asked with the others noting her voice etched with concern. She was worried and not only because her clear dislike of anything related to bugs.
"We don't have much of an option, if we don't fight the Dark Falz wins." Arthur said but then Xect sighed to this knowing what Klara really meant with this. She was worried that the Republic will discover the fact they hid the existence of the Profound Darkness from them.
"If we told them the whole truth about the Profound Darkness and ourselves the Galaxy won't take it well, we need to hide the information keep the existence of the Profound Darkness hidden from everyone." Xect said but Klara had some misgivings on this decision.
"I know but… what if we have no other choice what if the Dark Falz managed it." Klara said and thus Arthur sighed to his fellow member of the Council of Six.
"Then we will make do when we cross that bridge." Arthur said assuring Klara that they will find a way like they always do.
Seeing Arthur clearly had a plan Klara simply sighed and let it be for now. "Alright." Klara said and thus they started to plan their attack against Dark Falz. Still no plan survives contact with the enemy and there was no telling what could happen while battling this evil.
(Scene Break later Resolute Hanger)
Everyone ARKS and Republic were gathered in the hanger as Xect went over the plan with the Troops. "Dark Falz Apprentice is incubating deep underground none of our explosives have enough firepower to cause the needed cave in to crush her." Xect explained explaining to the troops. "So, our only option is to escort the Photon Canon down to her chrysalis and take the fight to her." Xect explained as he looked to the fellows who gathered for this battle.
"Our objective is to stop her from emerging because once she does, we will be in for a difficult battle." Arthur said stepping up to show the problem with that. "But I for one never place all my eggs in one basket so General Skywalker and his unit will remain on standby in case this turns into an air battle." Arthur said pointing out Anakin.
Anakin was about to object but then Obi-Wan cut in. "It makes sense, he is one of our better pilots." Obi-Wan said which Arthur agreed.
"Exactly why I want him leading the air battle." Arthur said before looking to the Jedi Knight. "Unless you have some objections to this, General?" Arthur said as he revealed he was counting on Anakin to pick up the slack should ARKS fail to stop Apprentice from finishing her incubation.
"Well can't argue with that." Anakin said smirking a bit seeing Arthur was putting their best players where they would be able to do the most good for this operation.
"And for this reason, I want Yuvel acting as field Commander for this operation." Arthur announced causing Yuvel to go wide eyed there.
"Wait me?" Yuvel asked shocked to be put on the spot as a field commander.
"Makes sense you did lead the charge against Elder back on Ryloth when he emerged." Reggie said as he put his hand on Yuvel's shoulder smiling at his longtime friend.
"Yeah but." Yuvel trailed off not seeing himself as the guy who leads the charge.
"Don't worry we'll have your back from start to finish." Laura said assuring Shura that they won't abandon him here.
"Wait you got cleared for battle already?" Yuvel asked shocked that Laura was being allowed to fight on the field.
"We need every able body Operative on the field." Xect said as he stepped up to explain things to the group. "So, exceptions were made so she can participate." Xect added which meant that Laura would be a part of this battle so they can have their best leading them. "Now back to the strategy meeting, the forward team will escort the Photon Particle Cannon down to Apprentice's lair but make no mistake you will be facing opposition from start to finish." Xect said and in turn they all got the memo on their mission.
"So, business as usual." Zurna voiced and thus everyone chuckled a bit at the joke.
"Precisely." Xect confirmed for them and thus the plan was formed between them all. "An assault unit will escort the Photon Particle Canon to its target while our air force will be on standby in the events our assault unit fails to prevent Apprentice from hatching." Xect said and thus finished the briefing of the mission. "Any further questions?" Xect asked with a calm and neutral tone.
When no one had anything to say it was clear that they all knew what the mission parameters for this. With this in mind Arthur stepped up again to speak. "Alright then as stated Yuvel will lead the assault unit with his squad comprised of himself, Laura, Reggie, and Zurna." Arthur said detailing the first bit of the squad groupings. "Accompanying them will be Lon, Houki, Zion, and Lana accompanied by a small legion of Clone Troopers lead by Captain Rex and Commander Tano." Arthur finished and in turn looked to the group in question. "Unless someone has objections to this?" Arthur asked using this to promote good relations between ARKS and the Republic forces.
When no one had objections or arguments against this everyone was prepared. "Alright then, everyone head out and prepare for deployment." Xect said and thus everyone parted ways to get ready for battle to come.
As this happened Ahsoka began to approach the ARKS Operatives as she had a look of concern upon her face. "Oy love seems we got ourselves another Dark Falz to deal with." Lon said as Zion crossed his arms and leaned against one of the munitions crates in the hanger.
"Yeah, but I'm more worried about Yuvel at the moment." Ahsoka said and thus Yuvel looked over to Ahsoka.
"Worried about me, but why?" Yuvel asked curious as to why Ahsoka was worried about him.
"First time leading a mission as a field commander of course you'd be nervous." Ahsoka said with a smile of understanding directed towards her friend.
"Yeah… I guess I'm a bit nervous about this." Yuvel confessed while scratching the back of his head sheepishly.
"Don't worry we'll be there to back you up." Rex said as he had his helmet off to speak to Yuvel. "And we got the 501st Clone Battalion to provide aid." Rex added seeing it many times with rookies who were leading their forces for the first time after rising up through the ranks.
"And if they can't help, you'll be certain we will." Laura added stepping in with a smile.
Yuvel could only smile happy to see he had so much support on this mission. "Thanks." Yuvel said and thus he steeled himself for what was to come. "Alright everyone load up and get ready to deploy we have a Dark Falz to take down." Yuvel said and thus everyone was ready.
"Sir yes sir!" The ARKS Operatives and Clone Troopers all responded to Yuvel. With this they were ready to deploy into battle to stop Dark Falz [Apprentice] the Vernal before she could emerge. This was going to be a long battle, so ARKS and the GAR had to be ready for anything here.
(Scene Break Cavern Entrance Geonisis)
It took a couple of hours, but they were now ready to deploy into battle. Anakin and his squadron were waiting the confirmation to launch or to stand down in their starfighters. Obi-Wan and Ki-Adi were making sure the Jedi Council and the Chancellor was appraised of the current situation. Arthur was overseeing the operation with Luminara and Xect. Finally, Klara was with Barriss to oversee any medical aid that may be needed from them.
At the cavern entrance the Photon Particle Canon was ready to move out. ARKS and Republic Troopers stood around it to defend it from enemy attacks with a few troops and operatives sitting on it. They were all set and ready to deploy into the fight knowing full well that they will be facing heavy opposition from the Dark Falz.
"Ok everyone ready to roll?" Yuvel asked as he stood atop the canon to address the troops.
"Yes Sir!" The Troopers and ARKs Operatives all called out and thus Yuvel nodded.
"Alright once the mission starts, we're going to be elbows deep in shit." Yuvel said but got down to it. "I want you all to be able to make it out of this so look out for each other, have each other's backs, and don't stray too far." Yuvel said keeping his speech short and to the point here.
With that out of the way Zurna stepped up to address the troops. "Ok preliminary recon reports suggest that we have two layers of wall to get through before we reach Apprentice's cocoon." Zurna said showing the data to their united forces. "Our job is to ensure that the Photon Particle Canon reaches its destination in one piece but its limited energy supply and the fact that it's a prototype makes it precious cargo for this mission." Zurna explained and then Laura stepped up next.
"We'll no doubt be facing opposition, but our primary concern is to ensure that the cannon reaches the target in one piece." Laura spoke up while the ARKS Operatives and Clone Troopers paid close attention to her. "The Tanks energy gauges are synched up to your wrist comms and your Mags if the Tanks energies start to run low do not waist time and move in to refuel it with one of these." Laura said taking out a cartridge from her person.
"Command has issued these to our unit since we're the ones escorting this big shooter." Reggie said taking over the address to their joined forces on the mission. "So yeah, you guys be sure to keep an eye on old reliable here." Reggie said knocking on the Photon Particle Cannon he leaned again.
"Any questions, men?" Ahsoka asked taking over the mission briefing.
"What do we do if Apprentice tanks the shot?" An ARKS Operative called out raising their hand to make their question heard from his spot.
"That is where General Skywalker will come in, if Apprentice manages to endure, she'll no doubt escape from the cave." Ahsoka said showing images of the air fleet ready to launch at a moment's notice. "A combined attack of Starfighters and AIS units should help us bring Apprentice down." Ahsoka added in and thus the group had all of their questions answered. "Alright then, now lets mount up we're burning daylight." Ahsoka said and thus the troops all got moving for the assault against Apprentice.
(Later over on the Resolute)
ARKS Tech crews were on the Resolute's Command Deck as they prepared for battle. The Ships systems had been updates so they can be handled by ARKS as they were on their consoles. Arthur stood before the viewing glass with his arms crossed observing the battle to come their way.
"The operation is about to begin." Arthur spoke aloud as he then looked to the crew. "All positions report in." Arthur ordered and thus the positions all got ready.
(Hanger)
Anakin sat in his starfighter with Artoo locked into the droid slot. As Anakin got ready for launch, he heard the call from the CAST. "Air strike team ready to deploy." Anakin announced as he had his engines warm and ready to launch at a moment's notice.
(The Medical Wing)
Barriss stood with several ARKS Operatives and Clone Medics as they got ready for any injured. There were even Medical Droids on standby in the event they needed extra help. "Medical Core is standing by." Barriss announced as she spoke into the communicator she had.
(Over on the Front Lines)
"Assault Legion ready for the ok." Yuvel announced into his own communicator ready to deploy into battle against Dark Falz.
(Back over on the Resolute)
"Activating Photon Field, all systems operational, combat venue sited." A tech, a female CAST, spoke typing away on her console.
"Possible emergence point located running numbers now." Another tech spoke a female Newman as she typed on her own console.
"Mission Priority recognized, Emergency Code: Escort recognized." A female human spoke while she worked on her own console.
"Very good." Arthur said nodding to the ARKS Tech crew's hard work. He then stepped forward a bit and spoke once more. "Begin the Assault Operation, NOW!" Arthur called out and thus the mission was a god.
(Down in the front lines)
Entering the cave system ARKS Operatives and Republic Clone Troopers made their way down the tunnel. Initially it all seemed quiet and clear but as the saying goes the calm always predates the coming storm.
Making it down the tunnel they were soon attacked by Falspawn who began to rise from the ground and on the ledges around them. "Enemy contact open fire!" Rex commanded and thus everyone got moving. Shura had his twin guns drawn which he used to expert ease to riddle the Falspawn with Photon bolts. Laura did the same with her rifle as she hovered across the ground creating several beams of energy from small bits she had produced while firing. Nearby Reggie was leading the charge with Ahsoka and Zurna against the approaching Falspawn as they began to hack and slash their way through the monsters with their weapons drawn.
Slicing through the enemies the trio made quick work of their foes with Ahsoka's Lightsaber burning trough the Falspawn while Reggie uses his Glaives to carve through the dark monsters. Zurna for her part used a combination of shooting and blade slashes with her gunblade as she tore her way through all the Falspawn enemies.
They proceeded down the path taking out more foes as they came their way. Moving those who were down to safety while defending blind spots that the enemy might exploit. For the ARKS Operatives they noted that the tunnel did not match up to the game they all played no doubt since it was not on Omega. Still, they fought on regardless of the notes.
But as they went further, they soon came across a gruesome sight on the way causing them to halt. "Dayuum that is one big ass bug." Reggie said as they looked to the dead yet crushed creature before them.
"It looks like a Geonosian." Ahsoka said nothing this bit of information about the massive bug.
"Probably the Queen." Zurna said as she then had eyes on her for that one. "What they move around like a Hive and every hive has its queen." Zurna explained as she detailed her logic in this.
"She must have gotten crushed during the massive cave-ins that Apprentice had caused." Laura added as it was a sad fate for her.
"We need to keep going." Rex said as they were on a timetable here.
"He's right every minute wasted is a minute for Apprentice to finish her incubation period." Yuvel said knowing full well that they had to keep moving.
"Enemy contact inbound!" Echo cried out and thus the united forces saw the approaching Falspawn.
"Well at least they let us check out the queen's corpse first." Reggie said and thus they got ready for the next boat of combat.
Charging in Yuvel lead the charge firing Photon shots from his hand as he approached. With her scythe out Laura began to cast a Technique which was predated by her transformation into a ball of light. Weaving through the enemies Laura got in the center of the group and let loose and explosive fire technique taking several of them out with one AOE based move.
With the path clear the forces continued their movement towards their target. But again, they were met by another Wave of Insect based Falspawn enemies. These ones walked on two legs and carried swords or rifles. There were even a few who had no weapons to wield at all that came at them with a clear intent to kill them. Jumping into action Laura and Zurna got moving by moving behind these enemies and taking them out from behind.
"Take them out from behind first then go for the front!" Yuvel called out and thus Fives was confused by this.
"Why?" Fives asked and shot one in the core in its mouth. The result of when it went limp it began to glow building up power. Moving fast Reggie bashed into Fives moving him out of the way of it. The Falspawn Fives killed exploded and would have caused harm to, Fives had he not been moved to safety. It was clear to the Clone Trooper that if Reggie had not acted when he did.
"That's why." Reggie said and thus charged in to rejoin the battle against the Falspawn.
"Nice going Gives." Echo joked as he helped his brother up and made sure he was still able to fight.
They united forces continued their assault as they came towards what appeared to be a thick layer of stone. The blockage was clearly a problem as they needed to get past it in order to proceed to the mission target.
Most of the enemies from this area have been dealt with which was good. It would have been better if the stone wall did not impede their progress right now. "Well, this is just great." Ahsoka said as she glared at the wall that impeded their mission.
"Good thing we have something that can blast our way through." Reggie said pointing his thumb to the Photon Particle Cannon behind him.
"Sure, that's a good idea?" Rex asked with concern seeing as this weapon was still a prototype.
"Do you have any better ideas?" Reggie asked and thus Yuvel knew what to do.
"Fire a shot from the cannon." Yuvel ordered and thus ARKS got ready fire the first shot from the Photonic Particle Cannon. If it can clear the way, then its better then nothing. With the commands given and inputted the Cannon began to charge up its first shot.
With the first path cleared the assault unit continued the mission down to the depths. Their target was within reach and soon enough they will win the day and the Battle of Geonosis would end. ARKS will win this and ensure a crippling blow to the Separatists and the Collective.
(Meanwhile back on the Resolute)
"Our troops have breached the first layer." The human tech announced as Arthor monitored the situation as it was happening.
"Good keep monitoring their progress." Arthur said before looking over to Yularen. "What's the situation with evacuations?" Arthur asked as he did not want to leave anything to chance.
"We'll still need a little more time to get all the men onto the ships." Yularen said making it clear that this was do or die.
"Try to see if you can squeeze more aid in the evacuation effort." Arthur said as he put value in the lives and wellbeing of their troops.
"I'll do what I can." Yularen said and thus he got to work on trying to pick up the pace for the evacuation.
(Back with the Assault Unit)
Entering a massive chamber, the ARKS Operatives and Republic Troopers continued their journey down below. "Ok this chasm is huge." Reggie announced as he looked around the big chamber.
"Must have taken the Geonosians years to carve this place." Zurna said until she noticed destroyed Geonosian architecture.
"And it took Apprentice moments to destroy it all." Laura said glaring at the destruction caused by the Dark Falz.
Just then Ahsoka sensed danger and got into action. "Look out!" Ahsoka cried out and thus enemy fire came from the ledges nearest to them.
"Enemy fire, get to cover!" Rex called out as the Clones got into combat positions and returned fire to the Falspawn firing down lasers upon the joint forces.
"Cover me!" Laura called out and thus she turned into a ball of light and went after the enemy.
"Cover fire now!" Yuvel ordered and thus the Clones and ARKS Operatives provided Laura with cover fire. Once she got to the ledge she ran across and sliced her way through the Falspawn with her Scythe. Once Laura got to the other side, she fired a condensed shot with her rifle and took out several of the enemy Falspawn that remained standing. The ledge was soon cleared of enemy fire, and this allowed for their forces to continue moving down the path. As they moved deeper into the caves more enemy showed up and Laura while still on the ledge ran towards them to where the two paths met and merged.
Yuvel sliced his way through the enemies with his sword making quick work of them. At the same time Reggie flew in with his Glaive and cleaved his way through the foes with trained ease. Coming from the side Laura ran in with her rifle and opened fire on the Falspawn that were trying to attack the previous cargo.
Nearby Zurna noticed something from behind and cursed their current misfortune. "Shit, we got enemies on the rear!" Zurna called out and thus Yuvel heard this.
"Rex, we need cover on our rear!" Yuvel called out and thus Rex got on it.
"Right, you four with me!" Rex called out and thus he took four Clone Troopers to cover the rear.
"Reggie go with them!" Yuvel ordered and Reggie got moving.
"On it!" Reggie called out as he went to go help Rex and the troopers. This left Ahsoka, Yuvel, Laura, and a small detachment of Clones and ARKS Operatives to handle the enemies coming at them from the front view.
The group continued down the way taking a left turn that lead to another downward path deeper into the cave. Clones Troopers and ARKS Operatives were fighting off the Falspawn with everything they can muster. Laser shots went off, Grenades were thrown, and beam blades were in action slicing through the foes. Some of the men were injured still and had to be moved for medical treatment. Yuvel made it a point that none of their soldiers gets left behind and he planned to keep that trend going for them.
Moving deeper into the cave system they were met by more opposition from the Falspawn. No doubt they were fighting with everything they had in order to protect their mistress. They could not allow Apprentice to finish her transformation into her true form, but she was not going to make it easy for them either.
"Kriff these bastards don't know when to quit!" A Clone Trooper called out as they continued to fire their way through the incoming Falspawn forces.
"Push forward we need to ensure Apprentice cannot emerge!" Yuvel called out as he lead the charge with the others. Yuvel then had his twin guns out and began jumping around the area shooting through each of his enemies with his guns blazing with fury. Photon Bullets hit the Falspawn in their cores when they could but for those that had shielding his team had it covered for those foes.
Moving through the battle were Laura and Reggie as Reggie had his glaive drawn while Laura was in her energy ball form with fire circling about. They soon got to the Falspawn and let loose their attacks on them taking out large groups of them out with one fell swoop. The battle went like this for a bit as they began to enter the final stretch of their journey to the depths of Geonosis towards the lair of Dark Falz.
Of course, the closer they got the stronger the opposition stood to protect their mistress. More Falspawn, larger and stronger ones, appeared and went on the attack hoping to swarm and overpower the combined forces of ARKS and the GAR. Entering another cave system, the tank and its escort were closer then ever to reaching Dark Falz [Apprentice] the Vernal.
Some of the Troopers had to hitch a ride on the tank due to the injuries they suffered. The injured were of course tended to by the medics they brought along with them. Meanwhile the dead were marked so they can be given proper burials. Entering the final cave system, it was now the hard part to reaching their target. The enemy will be desperate and that means they'll be sending in their best to stop ARKS from reaching Apprentice.
(Meanwhile back on the Resolute)
"Councilman the assault team has breached the second layer of the cavern towards Apprentice." The CAST Tech spoke as she looked over to Arthur.
"Scans show a Corrosive fluid in the chamber just before Apprentice's location." The Newman Tech announced and thus Arthur growled to this.
"Understood." Arthur said before looking to the console he was working from. "General Skywalker prepare your air fleet." Arthur said giving Anakin the heads up to get ready for an air battle against Apprentice.
(With Anakin and his forces)
"Already on it." Anakin said from his Starfighter as their were Gunships and a few Y-Wings ready to face Apprentice. Anakin knew that Ahsoka would pull through, but he agreed that Arthur had the right idea to be ready just in case the cannon failed.
(Back with the Assault Unit)
"We've reached the final stretch!" Rex called out and thus Yuvel stopped their united forces.
"Wait!" Yuvel called causing the troops to stop. "This entire area is covered in Corrosive acid!" Yuvel added and thus Rex and Ahsoka saw this as well.
"He's right the Falspawn won't be affected but we will." Ahsoka said and thus Yuvel had an idea.
"Everyone on the cannon now!" Yuvel called out and thus the Clones got onto the cannon going to where they can fit. "Those of us unable to fit get on those ledges and provide cover!" Yuvel announced and thus everyone understood what Yuvel was doing.
Moving to position Clone Troopers who could got onto the main tank while other use their wires to climb up the ledges around the area. The group continued the mission towards their target, but they were of course met with opposition in the form of the Falspawn and a Dark Ragne. The evil bugs came at them with the intent to kill but ARKS would not surrender easily to them. Moving into the battle Yuvel lead the ARKS Operatives on the ground against the Falspawn. Yuvel, Reggie, Zurna, and Laura all began slicing their way through the Falspawn intent on taking them out and getting them out of their way.
Hacking and slashing the four went through while the Clone Troopers on the ledges provided cover fire from the ledges. Of course, the Falspawn retaliated upon this strategy and went for the ledges above them.
"Shit, Laura, Reggie take some Operatives and get on the ledges to cover our men!" Yuvel ordered and thus the two ARKS Operatives were ready.
"RIGHT!" Both Reggie and Laura said and thus with some ARKS Operatives moved into battle. Using their Photon Dash, the ARKS Operatives got onto the Ledges and began to assist the Clone Troopers up there. Yuvel and Zurna went after the Dark Ragne and began aiming for the monsters' legs. Yuvel and Zurna managed to for the creature on its knees after taking out the leg armor that had been protecting it from harm prior.
This exposed its core and thus the two ARKS Operatives moved in with a mighty roar against it. Taking out the Falspawns core the massive creature died on the spot with a death roar. With this threat dealt with they then continued on their way.
Meanwhile up on the ledge the Laura and Reggie were cleaving their way through the Falspawn. Laura had her Katana out while Reggie was utilizing his Soaring Blades for this one. The ARKS Operatives that were aiding the Clone Troopers made short work of their enemies while covering for their allies as well. The Joint forces of the Republic and ARKS fought to ensure that the Cannon makes it to the objective without being destroyed. The corrosive liquid was not making it easy for them as many ARKS Operatives still on the ground had to watch their Health and armor integrity. The Acid was doing a number on them but thankfully the ARKS Operatives bodies were protected thanks to their Photon based abilities. But even the benefit of their Photonic power was not fool proof. Despite this they continued the mission as their objective was withing their reach. They had to push forward to win this battle at all costs otherwise Apprentice will slaughter them.
"Come on we're almost through!" Yuvel called out to rally the troops towards their victory.
"Come on! Come on!" Rex called out leading the troops from above with Laura by his side. Fives and Echo were following Laura on the opposite Ledge with a combination of Clone Troopers and ARKS Operatives. They both provided cover fire for the ones on the ground protecting the package.
They continued on forward making sure to be careful of the corrosive liquid that covered the ground they walked on. The Falspawn kept up their attack, but ARKS and the Clones were not ones to surrender so easily. They were soon fired upon by more Falspawn as Ahsoka jumped up with her Lightsaber ignited and deflected the shots on them. The lasers these Falspawn used may come from a dark source, but it was still a beam and in turn Ahsoka was able to deflect them back at the Falspawn.
"We're almost through!" Reggie called from above as he could see the end of the corrosive ground a bit ahead.
"Keep pushing forward!" Ahsoka called out as she lead them towards the end of the Tunnel where Apprentice will be. They continued and pushed forward the enemy onslaught near endless as it was clear that Apprentice was throwing everything, she had to stop the heroes. Eventually they made it past the corrosive ground and could hear the faint sound of a heartbeat echoing across the cavern.
"Almost there!" Yuvel called as they approached the final chamber to the wall that had Apprentice hidden behind it. But it seems they would not gain such an easy victory as Apprentice deployed her final monster to stop them. The massive insect roared at them dwarfing the Dark Ragne by no small margin. It roared and thus the ARKS Operatives charged into battle. Yuvel lead the charge while Clone Troopers provided them cover fire.
Making the first move here, Yuvel had his twin guns out and fired them at the Falspawn. Laura did the same as she had her rifle out. This annoyed the beast who got ready to attack only for the two ARKS Operatives to split up but continue firing at it.
This gave Regie and Zurna the opening they needed. Reggie charged in and used his glaive to move the massive arms out of the way. The monster was unable to stop the CAST as this gave Zurna the opening she needed to end this fight. Charging in Zurna roared out and after slicing away at a few projectiles she fired her Gunblade directly at the Falspawns core. This didn't destroy it but weakened it enough for the actual killing blow. Zurna slashed into the core before ending it with a stab before she then fired her Gunblade at pointblank range. The Falspawn roared in agony before dying and its remains vanished from where it fell.
(Meanwhile back on the Resolute)
"Our forces have reached the target!" The Newman Tech called out and thus Arthur glared.
"What are you waiting for an invitation? Fire now!" Arthur ordered as they now had Dark Falz Apprentice at her most vulnerable. This was their chance to take this monster down once and for all.
(Back with the Assault Team)
The path was now clear as the Photon Particle Cannon moved into the needed position. "We're in position get ready to fire!" Yuvel called out and thus the Cannon began to do its intended job. Rising up the tank converted so it looked like it was standing on two legs. Once that was done the cannon began to charge up power upon its intended target. The Photon Particle Cannon proceeded to fire its beam and with the one shot it destroyed the protective wall between them and Apprentice's little nest.
With the way clear the cannon began to charge up a second shot to the seemingly dormant Dark Falz Apprentice. Apprentice would not let that happened as she saw the cannon charging up its second shot against the Dark Falz. The Tank fired the powerful beam of Photons directly at Apprentice causing an explosion that obscured her image to them.
"Did we get her?" Reggie suddenly asked as he looked to the scene before him.
Just then in the smoke Apprentice's eyes flashed to life showing that she was unscathed by their failed attack. In response Apprentice returned fire letting loose a more powerful beam that resulted in the destruction of their new tank weapon. In turn Apprentice rose from her cocoon and rose to the sky above breaking through the ground as she rose.
"Shit target is on the move I repeat Apprentice the Vernal is loose!" Yuvel called into the communicator to warn their forces that Dark Falz Apprentice was on the move. "We need gunships for extraction and air support!" Yuvel added as he made sure everyone got to cover to avoid being crushed by falling debris.
(Back over on the Resolute)
"Gunships are on the way!" Yularen alerted and thus Arthur nodded.
"General Skywalker the operation has evolved Plan B!" Arthur alerted the Jedi General of the ever-growing situation here.
"Taking off now!" Anakin alerted and thus on their view port the crew saw Anakin had taken off with a squadron of fighters backing him up.
Once the fighters were in the air Arthur had more orders to give. "I want AIS Units deployed for this battle and get our soldiers out of there!" Arthur ordered and thus Yularen was already on it.
"I've already scrambled a squadron of Gunships to retrieve our men." Yularen announced much to the relief of those gathered in the command deck.
"Alright." Arthur said with a nod and thus he hoped those Gunships will make it to their ground unit on time. Hopefully, they will be strong enough to provide some much-needed backup against the awoken Dark Falz Apprentice.
(Later with the Assault Team)
As Anakin and his squadron commenced the attack against Apprentice a group of Gunships had circled around the battle to Apprentice emergence point. Lowering down the hole she made the Gunships and Gateway ships landed in the area where ARKS Operatives and Republic Troopers were gathered.
"Get the injured onboard now!" Yuvel called out his order and thus as the Gunships opened, they began carrying the injured into the gunships.
"Yuvel." Arthur was heard over the communications getting Yuvel's attention. "Are you and your team still combat able?" Arthur asked as Yuvel looked to his gamer view and saw that his party still had full Health as well as no statues ailments.
"We're more or less fine." Yuvel responded and thus got to the question. "What is it, sir?" Yuvel asked hoping Arthur had good news on which they can act.
"I want you and your team to join the air battle, once you return to the ship, board an AIS Unit and provide aid against Apprentice." Arthur ordered making it clear that they needed all able hands for this battle.
"Yes sir!" Yuvel responded and thus looked to his team, Ahsoka, and Rex. "Ahsoka Rex can you two make sure these men return to the Resolute?" Yuvel asked hoping they can do it.
"We have it under control sir." Rex responded as Laura then came in.
"Why what's going on?" Laura asked and thus Yuvel looked to his squad mates.
"We're heading to join the attack against Apprentice." Yuvel said and thus this meant they had to drop what they were doing here to join the fight.
"AIS Units?" Reggie asked and thus Yuvel smirked to his longtime CAST friend.
"Don't crash it." Yuvel responded and thus Reggie clapped his servos together and rubbed them in anticipation for the fight.
(Later at the Air Battle)
Republic starfighters were flying over the area peppering Apprentice with laser shots trying to get some damage done on her. As the Dark Falz hovered over the ground billows of dark/red smoke rose from the ground where cracks in the planets surface had been made. Apprentice had one target the Republic Forces and ARKS troops still on the planet. She intended to wipe them all off the face of Geonosis and exact her revenge for the humiliation she suffered by their hands during the invasion.
"Soon you'll come to appreciate Apprentice's charm!" Apprentice announced as she made her way towards the Republic and ARKS joint forces to destroy them all.
Republic forces were firing upon Apprentice as ground units had tanks out to hit her from bellow. The massive insectoid form of Apprentice was undeterred in her advance to eliminate ARKS and the Republic troops. Making her way forward Anakin Starfighter flew by firing rockets at her face doing some damage to the Dark Falz.
Artoo for the droid's part went off as he told Anakin to be careful. "I know, Artoo but we can't let Apprentice get to our ships." Anakin said as he already lost a few fighters taking on this Dark Falz. But despite the odds stacked against them they had to hold out and defeat Dark Falz Apprentice less all the efforts to take Geonosis proves to be all for nothing. Weaving past Apprentice attacks Anakin showed his metal as an ace pilot of the Republic.
Anakin then noticed the two large growths on either of Apprentice's shoulders which got him thinking. But before he could even try it Artoo's warning came in and in turn Anakin had to weave past one of Apprentice's arms swinging straight for his starfighter. Anakin managed to weave his way past it but left himself wide open for a surprise attack from Apprentice's many minions.
But all of a sudden Photon based projectiles flew in and took out the attackers saving Anakin from crashing. Just then four AIS Units flew in and began firing and slashing their way through the Falspawn minions of Dark Falz.
"General Skywalker we're here to provide backup." Yuvel said as Anakin smiled to the reinforcements from ARKS Ops.
"Glad to have you, Captain." Anakin responded as he was happy to have the backup from them. Yuvel was soon joined by Reggie, Allura, and Zurna in their own AIS Units. "All wings form on ARKS lets squash this bug!" Anakin ordered and thus the Clones obeyed.
"Ok aim for those growths next to her arms taking them out will weaken her and force her to reveal her core." Yuvel began as he pulled up the data they had on Apprentice. Sure, it was from the game but as far as the public knows it was from a previous confrontation with Apprentice. "Coordinate your attacks on her wings as well, we need to clip her." Yuvel said and thus Anakin nodded to this.
"You heard him men open fire!" Anakin called out and thus the ships and AIS units fired off their rockets to do some damage. It was a direct hit as Apprentice was riddled with rocket fire from her enemies. Apprentice was seemingly unaffected as she began to send energy slashes at her enemies from her arms.
"Your tiny, your pitiful, your utterly worthless!" Apprentice snapped as she sent out her attack upon her enemies.
The fighters and AIS Units managed to avoid those attacks save for one who got clipped on his wing. The Trooper cried out as he went crashing down towards the ground.
"Zurna!" Yuvel called out as he was not about to let the trooper die.
"On it!" Zurna called out and thus she flew down towards the ship. Thankfully, she made it in time to stop him from having a fatal crash. He still crashed but at least he can live to fight another day. Ground forces of the Republic were sending aid for this trooper as their walkers and tanks fired upon Apprentice to keep her away from the rest of their forces.
Back to the main battle ARKS and the GAR were fighting off Apprentice weaving through her attacks as she sent them. "Cry for me. Scream for me!" Apprentice called out as she sounded almost insane right now. Another shot and they lost one of their Troopers which brought pleasure to Apprentice. "Good dance for me!" Apprentice called out as she saw the damage she had done.
Just then a barrage of rockets took out one of her shoulder parts causing her to cry out in pain. "Do NOT Oppose me!" Apprentice roared in fury and fired her beams at Reggie's AIS. Reggie whooped as he avoided the attacks from the monster. He then moved in and with his sword took out one of her wings as well causing Apprentice to cry out in pain from it.
"Hah take that you bitch!" Reggie taunted as he flew back to rejoin his friends.
Apprentice snarled as she glared at her foes and in turn released her children to do some damage. She was the queen after all and even in this form she was not without aid here. "Evasive actions!" Anakin ordered and thus the fighters and AIS Units flew about to avoid being hit by Apprentice's children.
Zurna, who rejoined the battle, was bobbing and weaving her way through the onslaught of Falspawn sent out by Apprentice. She fired her gun at them following it up by a slash of her blade, and then ending it with a barrage of Photon Rockets. It helped to stem the tide, but the battle was far from over for them.
Nearby Reggie was avoiding another barrage of attacks as he and Anakin made their way through the assault. But then Reggie saw something and panicked. "Anakin look out!" Reggie called out and thus he flew over Anakin taking a shot for him.
"Reggie!" Anakin called out as Reggie's AIS was going down hard.
"No Reggie!" Zurna cried out in worry for one of her friends.
Reggie's AIS crashed into the ground leaving a trail of destruction as he did so. Yuvel looked upon the scene with concern only to see the cockpit being forced open revealing Reggie was ok there. "Sorry guys I'm out." Reggie said but his voice was only slightly strained.
"Alright head to the Republic Forces and help them out." Yuvel said as this left only Yuvel, Zurna, Laura, Anakin, and his clone troopers in the fight.
"Right give her hell guys!" Reggie called and thus he ended the call with them.
The battle in the sky continued as fighters and AIS Units were hitting Dark Falz Apprentice with everything they had. Laser fire went off, rockets were fired, and explosions were heard as forces in the sky and on the ground attempted to bring down Apprentice.
Weaving through the attacks of the Dark Falz Zurna saw that Apprentice was wide open. "There's an opening I'm going in!" Zurna called out and blasted off towards the enemy. Weaving her way through the stay attacks Zurna got to the second bulb close to Apprentice head and sliced through it destroying it and causing Apprentice pain from the attack.
Apprentice growled to this and then sent her next attack at Zurna. "Zurna look out!" Laura cried out but it was too late Zurna was hit and sent to the ground. Thankfully, she ejected out of her AIS before any serious harm could take place.
"Dammit we lost Zurna!" Yuvel cursed as he saw they were running out of fighters.
"Form up on me we're going to make a run, on Apprentice." Anakin said and thus the remaining fighters and AIS Units formed up on Anakin's Starfighter. With this done they made their run for Apprentice hoping to deal a fatal blow to the monster.
Apprentice in response fired off another barrage of attacks upon them forcing them to once more take evasive action to avoid being shot down. Yuvel and Laura for their part use their AIS Units shields to protect their allies as best they could even by taking shots for them. This was of course noted on by Anakin as with the two ARKS Operatives.
"Yuvel, Laura draw her fire the rest of you we're going for the other wing!" Anakin ordered as they continued the air battle against Apprentice.
"Sir!" The troops and ARKS Operatives responded and in turn they went about the plan as expected of them. Yuvel and Laura flew directly at Apprentice and fired upon her drawing her attention on them as this gave Anakin and his troopers the opening they needed. Moving towards the remaining wing Anakin and his troopers fired their rockets full barrage to take it out. The rocket hit their mark and took out Apprentice wing.
This caused the Dark Falz pain, but this also served to fuel her rage against her enemies. Having enough of their meddling Apprentice decided to end her foes once and for all. "I am Apprentice you are worthless useless!" Apprentice roared out and in turn she got ready to fire a large beam at the ARKS Operatives and Republic forces against her.
"Peel off now!" Anakin ordered and in turn the troopers did so save for Yuvel and Laura. The two ARKS Operatives decided to go straight in for the kill. Anakin saw this and knew they were being reckless right now. "Yuvel, Laura fall back before she fires that attack!" Anakin called out but Yuvel begged to differ.
"No this is our chance we need to take it!" Yuvel called and thus he looked to Laura. "Laura let's move!" Yuvel called out and in turn they blasted off towards their enemy.
"DIE!" Apprentice roared out and in turn fired her attack. Acting fast Laura moved and used her AIS Unit to shield Yuvel from the attack. She maxed out the shields in order to protect Yuvel and give him the opening to take out Dark Falz.
"Laura!" Yuvel called but Laura stood her ground despite the damages her AIS Unit was suffering.
"Don't worry just take the shot!" Laura called out and soon enough her AIS Unit went up in a blast after ejecting her from the cockpit down to safety. Taking his chance Yuvel went full throttle on his thrusters and went directly at Apprentice. The Dark Falz roared in fury as she tried to take out the ARKS Operative.
Yuvel managed to hit Apprentice in the core with enough force to disorient her and disrupt her flow of power. This caused Apprentice to fall down into the hole she came from. But before she fell, she managed to get a fatal blow on Yuvel's AIS unit causing the machine to lose its engines and short out. Acting fast Yuvel ejected from the AIS and rolled onto the ground before his AIS exploded. Once Yuvel was grounded he looked over and saw Apprentice grab onto the ledge and begin to hoist herself back up.
"Dammit she won't stay down." Yuvel cursed as he saw Apprentice was getting back up again.
Just then explosions went off on Apprentice forcing her back. Turning towards the source Yuvel saw that Republic forces were firing on the downed Apprentice. "Need a hand there brother?" Reggie asked as he came in with Laura and Zurna. Reggie then helped Yuvel up as the Hero Class ARKS Operative smiled to the CAST.
"What was your first clue, brother?" Yuvel responded taking the offered hand from his friend.
But once Yuvel was back on his feet Laura acted. "Look out!" Laura called and thus they all got out of the way of Apprentice attack. Leaving her arm exposed the four ARKS Operatives saw the red growths going up the Dark Falz exposed arm. She then used her free arm to send beam attacks upon the group, but they easily dodged and avoided the attacks coming their way.
Moving in on Apprentice the four split up to take out each of the growths on her arm causing the Dark Falz even more pain. Taking out the growths they forced Apprentice to free her grip and use her other arm that also had a red growth. Slamming her hand down Apprentice sent out underground attacks to deter anyone coming after her.
But ARKS were not cowards, and they refuse to let Apprentice win this day. So, taking out that growth Zurna lead the charge as the Luster roared and sliced her way through the core. This forced Apprentice to lose her grip once more as she slid back. But the Dark Falz managed to maintain her grip as she tried to hold on to her last legs.
"How can this be, how am I being defeated?!" Apprentice asked shocked that she was losing against ARKS. She then yelped in pain when she felt Y-Wings flying over her dropping bombs down on her. "Dammit! Dammit How?!" Apprentice yelled trying to make sense of her oncoming defeat.
Just then Laura and Reggie came in at the other two growths on Apprentice arms and proceeded to take them both out. Apprentice cried out in pain once more as the cores on her arms were destroyed by the pair. Apprentice fell back further but she still had room to fight, and she will keep fighting as a Dark Falz. Her head was positioned on the ledge as it opened up and began to charge up power for her final ace in the hole.
"Not today!" Yuvel called out and charged into the mouth of the beast with full force. Apprentice did her best to hold Yuvel off, but he sliced and cleaved through each of her meager attacks undeterred by her attacks against him. When Apprentice thought she had a clear shot against Yuvel the Phantom Class ARKS Operative Laura moved in and covered Yuvel with her katana cleaving through the incoming enemy attacks. Following it up was Reggie as he came in with his soaring blades to slice through any other opposition coming towards Yuvel.
Following it up was Zurna who came down and cleaved through another assault with her Gunblade before she started shooting at the counters. With the way now open Yuvel charged in straight for Apprentice's main core.
"What is this? What's going on? How can… wait." Apprentice trailed off her mind began to panic as she saw Yuvel approach. During his approach though her vision of him changed to another figure a familiar one. "It can't be… the Guardian?!" Apprentice asked shocked over what she was seeing right now. Yuvel then roared out and jumped and was about to end this fight. "GET AWAY!" Apprentice yelled using a blast to force Yuvel back before taking to the skies again.
Yuvel's friends gathered with him and held their ground against Apprentice. But then something began to happen. It started out small with small particles of Photons rising from the ground. But once the flow began it did not stop as the Photons gathered around Yuvel and his four closest friends.
(Over with Ahsoka and Rex)
"What is this?" Rex asked as he saw the Photons rising from the ground and the people.
"Its like it feels like the Force itself its… singing." Ahsoka said as a Jedi Padawan she felt the Photons rising around them. It felt incredible like light in its purest and strongest of its form.
(With Anakin)
"Incredible." Anakin said as he saw it from the sky as the entire planet was sending up Photons to ARKS.
(On the Resolute Command Deck)
"Photons Levels are rising, 35%, 50%; 88%." An ARKS Tech announced as Arthur saw what was going on right now.
"I don't believe it." Arthur said amazed over the event taking place before his optics. In fact, Photons were even coming out from the ship itself making it impossible to get an accurate scan of this miraculous event going on.
"What is this?" Yularen asked as he saw the Photons emanating from the ship and its crew.
"Victory." Arthur responded and thus he focused on the battle against Dark Falz.
(Back over with Yuvel's team)
Apprentice roared out and summoned forth wings of energy before she fired down her attack on ARKS. But the Photons protected ARKS from Apprentice's assault as Yuvel then raised his sword skyward. The Photons gathered upon the blade and with his friends close and sending their own Photons into it the sword produced a blade comprised of pure Photonic energy. The time was now and thus Yuvel, Laura, Zurna, and Reggie swung the blade down upon Dark Falz Apprentice.
"NO!" Apprentice cried out crossing her arms to block the blade and it worked but Apprentice was struggling against it. The four ARKS Operatives roared out in challenge as they forced the blade down against Apprentice. "NO!" Apprentice repeated as she could not keep the blade back for long. She tried and struggled but alas it was in vain as the blade sliced through her arms. "NOOOO!" Apprentice yelled as she was sliced in two by the combined might of ARKS.
The dark energy within her was released as it was purified by the Photons that Yuvel and his team had unintentionally summoned to the battle. Apprentice fell to the ground defeated as her massive form began to vanish into particles. They day was won for at long last the second battle of Geonosis has finally come to its conclusion.
(Scene Break Later with the armies)
Barriss was helping the Medical Corp. move the injured to be treated as they once more began the clean-up. Everyone was being tested and screened for F-Factor build up which thankfully was not as bad as it normally was. Yuvel, Laura, and Zurna had bandages around them to treat the injuries they suffered during battle.
"Thank the Force its over now." Ahsoka said as she walked in with the group.
"Your telling me." Yuvel said as he had a drink in his hand that he took a swing out from.
"But how did you do that?" Rex asked referring to the sword of Photons used to deal the final blow to Apprentice.
"I think we're all curious about that." Anakin said as he walked in with Luminara.
"I don't know I just followed my instincts and did it." Yuvel said with a shrug as he honestly had no idea how he pulled that move off. Though it did leave him, and his party drained afterwards.
"Well, whatever it was or however you did it, you delivered us victory against Apprentice." Luminara said as she praised the group.
"Sorry we couldn't get Poggel though." Reggie apologized as he felt about this.
"It could not be helped I'm afraid." Luminara said and thus Anakin smiled.
"So, are we getting metals for this or what?" Zurna asked with a smirk on her face but then something happened. Movement was heard from the rubble causing everyone to look towards it. There was a dark glow coming from the rubble and everyone got ready for a fight.
Soon enough Apprentice shot out of the rubble with a furious look upon her broken face. Landing on the ground she stumbled as energy flew off her form. Glaring at the group her face was showed to have wrinkled and wilted as her entire body was broken beyond repair.
"Damn you… damn you all to Hell!" Apprentice yelled as she drew her weapon but before anyone could fire upon her, she stumbled and fell to her knees. "Dammit this body its breaking down on me." Apprentice growled as Ahsoka then stepped forward.
"Apprentice you have the chance surrender and you'll be treated fairly." Ahsoka said hoping to get Apprentice to surrender. "You can't fight anymore just stand down and give up." Ahsoka said but Apprentice would have none of it.
"Me… Surrender?" Apprentice said as she got up and held her blades up for battle, or so it would seem. "I am Dark Falz [Apprentice] The Vernal as we of the Dark Falz Collective do NOT surrender." Apprentice said and thus swung her blades to her own neck. "Rejoice Ahsoka your about to become my new body!" She called out and then severed her own heard much to the shock and horror of everyone there.
As Apprentice head flew in the air her face showed the mad grin of a woman pushed into a corner. Soon enough both head and body burst into a dark smoke vanishing into black particles revealing the head of her true form in a spectral form. "I will not surrender and now Ahsoka Tano you shall sustain me!" Apprentice roared and charged at Ahsoka who had little to no time to act.
"Look out!" Barriss yelled and pushed Ahsoka out of the way only to end up as the new target. Apprentice entered Barriss Offee's body causing the Padawan to cry out from it
"No dammit I didn't want you!" Apprentice yelled as the dark energy surrounded Barriss now as she struggled.
"Stop, get out of me!" Barriss yelled in a panic as she tried to force Apprentice out.
"Too late I suppose beggars' can't be choosers." Apprentice said as she surrounded Barriss in a twister of dark energy. The energy picked up powerful winds that blew around the area resulting in a mini sand twister.
"Barriss!" Ahsoka cried out but was then stopped by Arthur who held her bac.
"No if you get any closer, you'll be snatched up too." Arthur said as he knew it was too late to save Barriss now.
"Snatched up?" Anakin asked as he and the troops held their ground.
"We told you before, the only sure way to defeat a Dark Falz is to seal them away, otherwise they'll just find another host to roam the galaxy." Arthur said as Barriss cried of agony could be heard while Apprentice forced her control onto the Jedi Padawan Learner.
Suddenly Luminara cried out in pain as she felt something had been cut through the Force. "Master Luminara?" Anakin asked with concern for the Jedi.
"My connection to Barriss… it's been severed." Luminara said shocked over the concept of that.
"She's gone." Arthur said and thus the winds and energy burst out and thus Barriss stood there reborn. She was now wearing Apprentice's outfit and head pieces instead of the Jedi robes she normally wears.
"Barris?" Ahsoka asked and thus Barris raised her head and looked to the group. Her skin pigment had changed to a darker tone while her hair had become a deep magenta color. Even her eyes had turned to a dark red color showing that Barriss Offee was no longer in control.
The new form looked upon her hands and body before flexing a bit. "Not my first choice, but I can make do." The woman said with a distorted version of Barriss' voice.
"Apprentice." Yuvel growled as he glared at the reborn Dark Falz.
"Open fire!" A clone Trooper called out and thus the Troopers fired down upon Apprentice. Instead, she used the force to draw Barriss Lightsaber and used it to deflect the shots back at the Troopers.
"I wouldn't after all now that Barriss Offee is my new host all her training and experiences are now mine, master." Apprentice said mockingly towards Luminara who stood there shocked.
"You… LET HER GO!" Ahsoka yelled as she charged into the fight.
"Wait Ahsoka stop!" Anakin called out but it was too late Apprentice blocked Ahsoka's attack and then kicked the Togruta back.
"Sorry can't do that, once she's made a host, she is consumed by the Dark Falz who made her a host body." Apprentice said as she then grinned at Ahsoka with a Sinister grin. "But dammit all this planet was my ideal queendom, and you scum ruined it." Apprentice said with a glare to the enemies around her. "I suppose I have no choice, goodbye for now." Apprentice said and thus she vanished into a Falz Portal.
"Stop!" Ahsoka cried out and thus she went for the attack but was too late. Apprentice was gone with her new host. "No…" Ahsoka said as she realized that Barriss took the shot that was meant for Ahsoka. Meanwhile Arthur just looked at Yuvel and his team as he knew the Council will need to convene about this and soon.
(Meanwhile elsewhere on Geonosis Poggel)
Poggel's corpse fell to the ground after Persona snapped the bugs head with her bare hands. "This… this never gets old." Persona said with a tone of pleasure mixed with disgust. Looking to the distance she grabbed the Geonosians corpse before tossing it over knowing Scouts will find this being remains.
"Seems Apprentice has a new body, typical." Persona said and thus she summoned her own portal. "Its best that I head out I cannot allow for Skywalker to see me." Persona said and thus she vanished into the portal. The battle of Geonosis was over and for the union of ARKS and the Republic the price of victory was one of their own Jedi becoming the new host for Dark Falz [Apprentice] The Vernal.
