Chapter Thirty-Five
All Discharged
Pandora soon made it back to Mutopia, but this time, she arrived just as Cam and Barry were leaving the sanctuary and she quickly hid around a corner in the shadows till they passed her, then she quickly ran to the entrance and stealthily snuck back in.
After using her ninja skills to avoid the cameras she soon arrived at the residential quarters and back into her own room where she quickly stripped off her hoodie and cargo pants and stuffed them under the bed along with her weapons which she had again cleaned in that little stream in the caves when she arrived.
She quickly dived back into her bed and lay down, she knew the others would be up before long, and she was still buzzing from her trip topside.
She didn't know if Hugh would report the incident, but she knew he wouldn't suspect her.
The hybrid rolled onto her back and stared at the ceiling, she was smirking at the fact she had taken a dangerous man off the streets, but there was that gnawing feeling as well, like his death was playing on her conscience.
She never really thought about it since she, her family and friends when they fought crime, it was evil people, and they normally never tried to kill unless they had to, though she knew Monalisa's past when she first mutated, that she hunted and killed Purple Dragons because they had been responsible for ruining her life, and when it came to the Foot, especially those mutated, it was a rule they be killed on sight.
The more Pandora thought about what happened, the less guilty she began to feel as she thought of that man, he was a nasty piece of work, and after what he was doing to Laura, she was well rid of him, in fact since she was now his widow, whatever he had could be hers, as she was next-of-kin.
"Maybe I have helped her out in more ways than one, if he was a rich dude or had life insurance!" she mused.
As she lay there pondering, a knock was heard making her jump and she heard a voice.
"Pandora? It's Sonia! Are you awake?"
Pandora bit her lip as she stayed quiet, and Sonia knocked again a little louder.
"Pandora?" she called.
Pandora gave a fake yawn then called back.
"I'm awake Sonia! Come in!" she said then sat up in bed, she glanced down to under her bed hoping she had hidden her clothes properly.
Sonia opened the door and saw the Hybrid laying there with the duvet over her naked chest.
"Morning, or should I say, evening Tigress." She said then blinked a few times.
"By Odin." She said and Pandora cocked her head on one side.
"What's wrong?" she asked, fear pooling in her stomach as she wondered if Sonia had realised that Pandora had been sneaking out, yet the hybrid couldn't see anything obvious in the bedroom that would point to her secret activities, and she had hidden her clothes very well under the bed.
"Nothing's wrong." The Chameleon said and Pandora soon realised that her cousin was looking at her hair.
"It's just, I think your hair could do with a little TLC." Pandora frowned and got out of bed before walking over to her dressing room mirror and she saw how unkept her hair was.
"Oh man." She said, "I really have let it go, haven't I?" she forced a chuckle and felt relieved that Sonia didn't suspect a thing.
"Just a little." Sonia said stroking the top of Pandora's hair "But nothing that dear Tania can't cure, I'm sure she'll sort you out after we've had breakfast!"
As Sonia said that Pandora felt her stomach growl and she chuckled.
"Yep, I think my stomach speaks for itself." She said pulling her wild hair into a ponytail, "And after what happened tonight." She thought to herself, "I have worked up an appetite."
In the Mess Hall, Pandora sat with Sonia, the Geckolings and Raphael, happily tucking into a cooked breakfast.
It was true, after her earlier adventure, she had worked up an appetite.
Raphael meanwhile was eating a bowl of cereal watching his daughter as well as writing in a notebook.
Freya and Loki were surprised seeing how eagerly Pandora was eating, but they were rather relieved to see the hybrid had gotten her appetite back and seemed less angry than a couple of days ago, but they weren't sure if she was just holding back for a bit.
Just then Alice walked over to the table and Raphael looked up at her before signing to her.
'Good morning, Alice, how's things?'
Alice smiled.
"Great to see you picking up ASL rather well!" she laughed then looked at Pandora, Sonia and the Geckolings.
"Hey kids!" she smiled to which they said hello back.
"Anyway," the chinchilla said, "James and Dahlia sent me, they got good news!"
Raphael and Pandora instantly looked up.
"They say Monalisa is ready to be discharged, they're just doing a few final checks, but she's ready!"
"She is?" Sonia cried "Oh Pandora! Isn't that wonderful?" she grinned "Your mum's leaving the hospital wing at last!"
Pandora smiled back as a few tears formed in her eyes with happiness.
The Geckolings cheered happily.
Raphael meanwhile put down his spoon and wiped his mouth before standing up then Alice's eyes widened as he hugged her tightly.
"Whoa! Raph!" the Chinchilla cried out then Raphael stepped back and signed:
'Sorry, but I'm just so happy, thank you, thank you!"
Alice chuckled.
"Don't thank me turtle, thank James and Dahlia, we'll go over there once we've finished breakfast!"
After an hour had past, Pandora, Raphael, Michelangelo, Leonardo, and Splinter arrived at the Medical Bay to meet Monalisa.
Donatello after he had rested more insisted on helping James and Dahlia to 'make up' for not being there, and as much as the Chimpanzee and wolf had said that it wasn't needed, he didn't take no for an answer and helped in every way he could.
When the turtles, Pandora and Splinter arrived, they saw Monalisa standing near her bed dressed in a loose black sundress that Tania had made for her and was being looked over by Donatello.
"How you feeling sis?" Donatello asked as he held Monalisa's arm as she took a few steps.
"I'm fine Donnie." Monalisa insisted "Please, don't fuss."
"I'm sorry, I just, I just want to make up for not being there for you!"
Monalisa shook her head.
"Oh Donatello." She said "What happened wasn't your fault! You did what you could!" she turned around and hugged him close.
"Trust me my beloved brother, you did all you could! And it wasn't your fault what happened."
She held Donatello close and nuzzled him.
James and Dahlia sighed as they watched.
"It's really getting to him." Dahlia said to James "That he wasn't able to help because of what Komodo Dragon did to him."
James agreed and patted Donatello's shell.
"It's alright son." He said, "She's alright now."
Donatello gently let go of Monalisa and he kissed her forehead.
"I'll never let anything happen to you again sis." He said, "I love you so much!"
"Love you too." Monalisa smiled patting Donatello's cheek affectionately.
She then looked at James and Dahlia.
"Thank you." She spoke.
"Just doing our job Mona." James said.
"You're very lucky may I say Mona." Dahlia said in a serious voice "You had a lucky escape!"
"You can say that again!" Monalisa said then turned to see the rest of her family entering the room.
"Sis!" Michelangelo cried.
"Mona!" Leonardo said.
"My daughter!" Splinter exclaimed.
"Mom!" Pandora cried running over with Raphael and they both embraced the lizard lady.
Raphael hugged his mate tightly and nuzzled her whilst Pandora wrapped her arms around Monalisa's waist.
"Oh mom!" she said "I'm so happy to see you out of bed! I've missed you!"
"I've missed you too!" Monalisa said as she hugged her daughter then looked up at Raphael.
'I've missed you most of all hun." She said and Raphael nuzzled her and kissed her.
After Raphael and Pandora released Monalisa, Splinter took his adopted daughter's hand.
"It gives me great joy to see you awake and alive my daughter." He said as a tear fell "I cannot tell you how worried I was."
"We all were big sis!" Michelangelo said as he went over and hugged his big sister, "Oh man, I was so scared for you!"
Leonardo joined in the hug and nuzzled Monalisa's hair.
"I'm so overjoyed you're okay!" he said.
James and Dahlia couldn't help but smile at the happy reunion as well as feel joy and pride at the fact that everyone was leaving the medical bay and they had done everything they did to save their friends lives.
After Monalisa had been released from her family's grip Raphael went over to his mate and scooped her into his arms.
Monalisa was a little shocked, but she held onto Raphael tightly as he carried her bridal style out of the medical room.
'Now you're free from here, I need you so badly babe." Raphael mouthed to his mate 'I've missed you so much, and there's so much I want to tell you!'
Monalisa chuckled as she was carried away.
Meanwhile the rest of the family along with James and Dahlia watched.
"Looks like those two won't want to be disturbed for a while." Dahlia chuckled.
"I'll say!" Michelangelo said, yet as he thought about it, he wondered if he had been in the same shoes as his brother and sister, how he would never want to leave Kate's bed if he or her had been close to death or seriously injured.
"Yep!" he thought to himself "I'd be the same!"
"Best let them have their time together." Splinter said "Then Monalisa can see everyone again now she is on her feet."
The other turtles nodded, and Pandora sighed before making her way out of the medical room yet not before thanking James and Dahlia and decided to head to Tania's salon so she could sort her hair out.
Once again Pandora's returned without anyone suspecting her! Even thought she thought Sonia ccaught her out, which she hadn't luckily!
Monalisa's been released from the Medical Bay! Yay! And I think a lot of you are gonna guess what she and Raphael are gonna get up too!
