I do not own RWBY or Pokemon in any way.
The capital city of the Kingdom of Vale. Once it was a prosperous for humans and faunus, but things have changed ever since the Battle of Beacon.
Most of the surviving citizens left the city to head to other settlements throughout the Kingdom, or have gone to settlements outside the kingdom to take their chances. Many decided to stay as of the capital city was their home, and they had nowhere else to go.
Both the police who stayed behind in the huntsman who stuck around were overwhelmed with the constant need to protect the citizens from the constant horde of Grimm that invade the city, likely due to the Grimm wyvern that was still frozen on top of Beacon Tower.
Everyday it was a challenge to survive to the next day... and many felt like giving up as there was hardly any food or fresh water, meaning it was an everyday battle just to survive another day in the former metropolis that was the capital.
Many still had hope, and we're doing their best to rebuild, like Glynda Goodwitch, the combat instructor for Beacon Academy. Everyday she uses her semblance to make repairs on the city... but it is clearly taking a toll on her well-being as often times people see her irritated or straight out tired.
But she says she can't stop as someone has to keep the citizens and the capital city safe now Ozpin was gone!
She, along with everyone else in the capital city were so busy trying to do their own, that many who were passing by a dirty alley failed to notice a mysterious gust of wind appear seemingly out of nowhere, despite the fact there wasn't even a breeze in the.
In the dirty allele or the energy formed as newspapers, thrown out trash, and the rats that call the capital city their home were flown all around as the orb of energy landed on the floor. A few seconds later this order of energy dissipated in a humanoid figure stepped out from where the orb of energy once stood.
He was a young looking man who look like he was barely in his twenties. He had slickback blonde hair and deep blue eyes. He wore elegant clothes in the form of a black suit, dark blue dress shirt with no color, black dress pants, what appeared to be a fusion of black dress shoes and hiking, boots, a black trench coat over his suit, and a black fedora that covered his blonde hair.
"Transfer to new universe successful."said the young man in a deep voice, before he began leaving the dirty alley, all the while making sure not to step in anything dirty or gross.
"If my calculations are correct, I should have arrived here during the Vytal festival."said the young man before he stepped out of the, looking around as he did so.
"Or not...damn it!"said the young man, as he has appeared to have miscalculated.
"Oh well... it's not like I have anything to do with place. So I'm just going to take the next bullhead, plane, boat, or whatever out of town as I don't want to run into any people who might recognize this face."said the young man to himself, before he began walking down the Street on the sidewalk.
As he was walking through the streets he noticed a lot of out of business signs on various storefronts, or stores that appear to have been straight out looted based on the broken glass and lack of merchandise. He suspected it was done by desperate people and criminals trying to get a next score. He couldn't blame them for why they did why they did because this place honestly appeared to be a mess in his opinion.
'If I was still working for the boss, I'm sure he would never have bothered with this place considering how desolate it is. But I put that all behind me ever since I decided to walk the straight and narrow path of looking out for me and my companions and no one else.' thought the young man to himself as he continued walking through the streets, with many homeless looking people staring at him
He could hear many of them grumbling to one another, asking why someone so well dressed was still in the capital when it was clearly in disarray. Others were trying to build up the nerve to try to rob them or something to see if he had any valuables they could trade for food or fress water.
Some actually did build up the nerve to confront the mysterious well-dressed person walking down the street. The young man soon found himself surrounded by five individuals holding makeshift weapons.
"If you want money and I don't think anything I carry is any good here."said the young man, who was unusually calm considering the fact that he was surrounded by a bunch of thugs carrying makeshift weapons.
"We don't care! Just hand over anything we can trade for food!"shouted the leader of the group, who clearly appeared on his based on the fact that he looked like he hasn't eaten anything in days.
"All I have is this!"said the young man, before he reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a bunch... berries out of nowhere?
The mysterious young man quickly threw the berries on the ground, causing the group of desperate thugs to run to the ground and begin picking up as many as they could carry! Others followed suit as they didn't care if the berries didn't look anything like any of the berries they were used to, as long as it was food they didn't care!
"Now we don't want any trouble! We just want anything valuable you may have! Just hand it over nice and slowly and no one will get hurt."said the individual who looked like he was in charge, as the others seem to follow him.
The mysterious young man on the other hand use the opportunity to walk away as people were scrambling over the berries, with some of them shoving them into their mouths, tears of joy falling soon after.
As the mysterious young man continued walking through the streets, he arrived at a store that said From Dust Till Dawn, and unlike the other businesses it appear to be open as there was no out of business sign anywhere or any signs of looting.
"Ha, I wonder why this store is different from the others."said the young man, before he decided to go inside as he wanted to see why the store was still operating.
He soon got his answer when he saw that it was filled with Dust, the most important mineral on the face of Remnant.
"I'm guessing the cops and huntsman shop here, that's why no one has dared robbed this place. Can't exactly rob from the army."said the young man with a chuckle, before he went over to a nearby display case to check it out.
The owner and proprietor of the store appear to be an old man who was currently wiping the front desk. A few seconds later someone else came into the store.
"Glynda! So glad to see you around!"said the store owner, who was glad to see the current acting headmaster of Beacon Academy.
"Just here to restock before I go back to the front lines."said Glynda, before she walked into the store and made her way near the store owner.
"Before that, I think you need a coffee."said the store owner, before he went into the back, and came back with a cup of coffee a few seconds later.
"Here."said the store owner as he handed the cup of coffee to the headmistress.
"Thank you. You have no idea how much I need this."said Glynda, before she took a sip of said coffee.
"How is it going with rebuilding?"inquired the store owner, who knew that Glynda was close with the council of Vale, thanks to her new role.
"It hasn't exactly gone easy concerning there's a giant grim dragon literally attached to Beacon Tower."said Glynda, sounding sort of sarcastic when she replied.
"Sarcasm was unbecoming."said the store owner, looking a little offended.
"Sorry, it's just been stressful ever since Ozpin disappeared. We don't even know if he's dead as we haven't found a trace of his body. Ahh, all these new responsibilities are giving me a serious headache."said Glynda, before the store owner handed her some medication for that.
"Thank you."said the headmistress, before she took said pills in one gulp.
"You really should rest before you worry your allies."said the mysterious young man with his back turn, reading a magazine as he was making his way out the store.
"Hey, are you going to pay for that?"questions the store owner, referring to the magazine.
"Here!"said the young man, before he tossed some lein towards the old man, which the old man quickly caught.
"Thank you."said the store owner, glad that someone finally paid for once instead of destroying his store.
"Wait a moment."said Glynda, causing mysterious young man to stop just as he was about to leave the store.
"Can I help you?"inquired the young man, his back still turn to the headmistress.
"Your voice...it sounds...very familiar."said the headmistress, as she could have sworn she's heard that voice before.
"I don't know what you're talking about, ma'am. We clearly have only met today as this is my first time in the city."said the young man as he tried to leave.
"Wait!"said Glynda, before she ran over to the young man and turned him around by grabbing his shoulder and turning him towards her.
She then gasps as she recognized the face in front of her... a face of someone she thought who was dead months ago.
"Jaune Arc!"said Glynda, shocked to see her believed to be dead student alive and well.
"... I don't know what you're talking about that's my name is John Smith, J O H N S M I T H. I think you have a mistaken for someone else."said John, before he tried to leave once again.
"But you're clearly Jaune Arc! You have his face and everything! Where have you been! Do you have any idea how much your family mourned you when you disappeared!"said Glynda, who appeared to try to scold the young man.
John just rolled his eyes as he couldn't believe that he was being scolded for someone who was clearly mistaking him for someone else, at least that was the story he was going.
"Look, I don't know who you're mistaking me for, but I'm not him. So if you will excuse me, I need to catch the next plane out of town."said the young man, before he turned around and ran out the door as fast as his legs could take him.
"Wait!"shouted Glynda, who tried to run after the young man only for her to notice that he jammed the door with the magazine he had been reading earlier.
As for John Smith, he was running down the streets of Vale as fast as his legs could take him. He didn't want to be caught by the headmistress, as he didn't want to answer any questions he didn't want to answer!
He thought he could just take his dead doppelgangers place in the world and no one would question it. But that was clearly no longer the case as clearly something happened in this world that he is unaware of!
John Smith is in fact Jaune Arc, or at least a version of him from Another universe.
"Phew... I think we lost her "said John as he pulled out a red and white ball with a white button in the middle.
"I came to this world cuz I heard that the version of me of this world is dead... in hindsight I should have questioned how he died but I didn't ask those questions in the moment. Ah, this is a huge pain in the neck cuz I never thought I ran into professor Goodwitch of all people. Here I thought I could come to Vale, leave the city, start a farm far away from everyone, and just live my life with you guys by my side. But I guess Arceus or whoever is in charge doesn't want that. But I'm going to leave my peaceful life on my farm if it's the last thing I do! Heh, I bet you would call me a coward for running away like that as the old me would have taken her on and then knocked her out, that way she definitely couldn't have followed me."said Jaune to the mysterious red and white ball.
"Haaa... this Remnant isn't the remnant I came from. I'm from a world where I ended up getting teleported to the Pokemon world by that infuriating Pokemon Mew. He seriously couldn't have taken no for an answer and just drag me to a world that was not my own! But I found out I was talented in the world of Pokemon, and I decided to stay until I met him... I pretended to be his friend until I betrayed him... he was the most evil son of a gun I ever knew, so betraying him wasn't that hard. But at the end of the day he was like a mentor to me, and I still can't tell if I'm conflicted about betraying him or not...Ah, I'm such a piece of garbage, wouldn't you agree old friend."said John to the ball, which responded with a few shakes.
"Heh, I knew you would agree. But there's nothing that could be done about it as there's no turning back the clock unless you're Dialga or Celebi...Oh well, time to head to the kingdom of Mistal, acquire some land, and live out the rest of my days with my loyal Pokemon by my side."said John Smith to himself, as he had no duties to this world as it was not the Remnant he came from.
'I wonder if the Pyrrha I knew is still alive back in my old world... I bet right now she and Ruby are having a tea party or something...Heh, look at me, reminiscing about a world I can never go back to as I have no place there anymore...oh well, these memories I will cherish forever despite all the time that has passed.' thought John to himself, before he put the pokeball that contained his Pokemon partner away.
John looked around before he went over to a nearby trash can and threw what appeared to be a patch with a rainbow colored are into it.
"As of this moment, Jaune Arc, former member of Team Rainbow Rocket is retired!"said John to himself, with the determination to live a new life under a new name.
And that is exactly what he was going to do as he went to the airport to see if he could catch a plane to Mistral. Hopefully things there haven't taken a turn for a worth like the Kingdom of Vale.
He had no plans to stay in the Kingdom as he didn't want to accidentally run into his old family and friends, or at least a version of them as it would bring up too many painful memories for him.
Jaune Arc is dead!
Now it is the time of John Smith!
A nobody Farmer in the middle of nowhere!
But little did John Smith realized that fate had other plans for him!
