Eridium sat in the pod and tapped a finger on the console, she had grown bored of waiting for nineteen hours. The towering gem letting out a sigh that was soon cut off as the screen came to life, a white agate appearing "ah, good they finally got a courier here, I have a software patch for the injectors of the Blue diamond colony and need it taken quickly, I'll send the data crystal over to you along with the coordinates to facet seventeen" the purple gem held the salute she put up as the agate typed something in on her end and a round platform in the middle of the console light up, a pale sea green crystal appearing. "I expect this task to be finished quickly and without issue" "yes ma'am, I will see to it that it reaches it's destination" the screen blinked out and the purple gem let the salute go as she grabs the data crystal and opens her holo pad map, getting out of her chair and walking out of the pod, following the trail of the map. Heading to the eastern gate and waiting for the glowing yellow screen to fall, and once it did she quickly went through the gate and walked down the path, only looking up from her screen to make sure she was on the right track, the towering gem walking down the glimmering bright alleys of homeworld. She stopped and looked up at one of the rings high in the sky, the countless towers and spires reaching up towards it, the newly created gem's eyes widened and filled with a sense of wonder and purpose as she stared out at the glimmering skyline. Shaking her head a bit, the towering gem continued on her path to the package's destination.
It had taken seven hours before she reached facet seventeen, the glimmering walls of the buildings surrounding the facet slowly becoming darker as she walked into the facet. A thick black cloud of smog hung low in the sky as gems worked on constructing new injectors, Eridium could see yellow and blue clear tubes filled with water flowing through them all throughout the facet, leading to a massive refinery. The purple gem follows a grav-belt carrying injectors to a loading bay, a peridot tapping her large boot-like foot on the ground "are you the courier from facet five?" "Yes, I have that software patch you need" the towering gem holds out the hand that carried the teal blue crystal, the peridot's floating fingers grabbing it quickly. "About time, these injectors were meant to ship out an hour ago" the purple gem blinked a bit, were all peridots save for the pink one very rude?, she took a calming breath before speaking again "I'm really sorry, this place is quite far from facet five and the map was a bit confusing on one section" the peridot rolling her eyes and plugging the crystal into a console, typing a long line of code to add the new data to the awaiting injectors. "Whatever, you may go now". Eridium huffed a bit and turned around to leave, that peridot was so rude, not even a thank you for getting the crystal to her, the purple gem hoped the rest of her tasks wouldn't be thankless. The towering purple gem grumbling to herself as she walked out of the ugly facet seventeen, the black soot sticking on her feet, "uugghhh what is this stuff?" Eridium grunts and tries to scrape the gunk off her foot with the bottom edge of a building, hopping a bit as she shook the last bits of the gunk off of her foot grunting a bit as she nearly trips, the purple gem sighing and continuing her walk back to facet five.
It had taken slightly less time for her to get back than it had to reach the ugly facet seventeen, Eridium standing outside of the glowing yellow gate as she waited for it to come down. Tapping her foot as it fizzled out, she took a step and suddenly the gate fizzled back up giving her a zap making her yelp and stumble backwards, "ow…. I guess these things are on the fritz" she mumbles a bit as she rubs her foot and stood up, standing back in the sight of the scanner, and waiting for the gate to fizzled out again, and once it did she jumped through it, letting out a yelp as the fizzled back on and zapped her back side. "Ow ow ow, I really hope this gets fixed soon" Eridium groaned as she walked back to her station, freezing and saluting the second she saw Forest green agate stomping towards her, "out of my way shale!" the agate shoving the taller gem out of her path making her eep and nearly fall over, Eridium looking around confused before snapping back into the salute as Green lace agate stomped after her fellow agate. "Forest get back here!, you can't just run away from your issues!", Eridium blinked as she stared at the two agates get into a shouting match, the purple gem shook her head and walked to her station, deciding it was not her place to get involved in the agates' argument.
The purple gem getting comfortable in the chair in her station and patting her hands on her knees a few times as she waited for her next task, humming a bit out of tune as the screen came to life. "Is this courier station gamma dash one seventy five?" a pale mauve pearl spoke and Eridium nodded a bit, "um yes, I think so" the pearl didn't seem to catch the last bit of her response and continued "my Garnet needs you to take a data core to her counterpart in facet fifty" the purple gem nodded her head as the large metal sphere warped into her station upon the pad on the console, Eridium getting ready for another task, one that she would hopefully be thanked for.
