Chapter 30:
Strapped to a hospital bed, out cold, his vitals stable, all of his friends and family waiting in the observation deck, Brie crying slightly, Aiden's parents look at her, Jack places a hand on her shoulder, "He's gonna be okay.".
Brie nods while wiping a tear away.
Sam looks at the young woman kindly, "How did you and Aiden meet?". Brie looks at Sam, "We met in Atlantis, I was lost, he was the first person I got to know, we uhmm, got clicked, we were at the beginning friends until, things got serious.".
Jack smiles softly, "You love him, don't you?". Brie looks Jack in the eye, "More than anything.". Janet ran her tests, she looks at him, her smile pops up, she thinks back to when this angel came into their lives, scared, confused, alone.
"Oh Aiden, we missed you.".
Kai was alone in his quarters, meditating, he needed to clear his mind. Too much was clouding his judgment, his brother could be lost and they cannot help! So, deciding to jump into his brother's mind, he tries to find him, but his mind was dark, barren, like a desert horizon, lifeless. "Aiden!" he calls out, but no response, "Aiden!" still nothing, he keeps looking, nothing, his mind was… empty. Leaving his mind, Kai gets up and leaves for the gym.
Back in the isolation room, Aiden's eye twitched, opening it slowly, Janet smiles, "Hey, how do you feel?".
Aiden looks at her, confusion in his eye, "Who are you? Who am I?".
