You know, I keep forgetting to put Izuku in the spotlight. That's the whole point of the description, isn't it? Why don't I fix that?
Izuku was seen in the audience, waiting for Satsuki to arrive. He looked at his phone. "It's almost time… I wonder where Lady Satsuki could be…" He let out.
"She was at Remnant, wasn't she?" Katsuki brought up to him and his other roommates. "It's what I heard."
"Yeah, but it's been a while since she announced anything to us directly…" Ryuko pointed out.
"What do you think it could be? A new class?" Mako asked.
"Nah. We've got enough, I think. Eight teachers, eight teams of five students…" Ryuko denied.
*HEEL CLICK*
The familiar sound gets every student silent. And who could provide that familiar sound other than… Satsuki Kiryuin?
Cue: Kill La Kill IF Main Menu Theme
"Greetings, students of Cross Tag Duel Academy. I believe you have been waiting for me?" Satsuki smirked.
"In more ways than one…" Ryuko chuckled. Satsuki chuckled to herself, almost as if she heard Ryuko.
"In any case, I have returned with news. I am inviting the entire student body… on a field trip to Remnant!" Satsuki announced, shocking the students.
"Wait, but isn't Remnant kinda infamous for its citizens' own fault that things have been bad for them lately?" Denki brought up.
"It is. But we cannot shun them for that. They live in the darkness regardless of the sun, so we must be the light that shines brightly, that guides them towards a better future. All of its citizens, Faunus and humans alike, must know that we will not rest until all of this world is safe from the forces of evil and that we will help them strive for a better tomorrow just as we are striving for one right now." Satsuki proclaimed. The students murmur amongst themselves. "You have until the end of tomorrow to prepare. I have the highest of hopes for you all. Do not let me down."

Ruby was seen walking with a smile on her face as other people from her continent appeared one beat at a time. First the white haired girl, then a black haired girl with a bow on her head, then a blonde girl, a blonde young man, a red haired girl, an orange haired girl in a pink skirt, and a young man with black hair and a pink streak.
0:30 - 0:40
Izuku was seen walking in the opposite direction as his friends appeared, one beat at a time themselves. First Ochako, then Ryuko, then Mako, then Katsuki, then Viola, then Shalltear, then Dante. After the fifth second, we transition to Izuku and Ruby being face to face, looking surprised before smiling to each other then shaking hands.

Ichigo summons his Revendread Slayer while the red haired girl summons a large white and gold warrior holding an equally large lance.

The white haired girl summons a Blue-Eyes while the black haired girl and the blonde girl summon a red dragon with dichromatic eyes and a red and black dragon that does not have blades on its arms respectively before Lucy summons Galaxy-Eyes, Tanjiro summons Shiranui Shogunsaga, and Natsu summons Salamangreat Heatleo.

The blonde young man summons a giant warrior of his own, but this one is white and gold with wings while Izuku summons Elemental Hero Neos. After that, Ruby is seen summoning Black Rose Dragon while Giorno summons Traptrix Atypus.

An orange haired man in a fedora was seen smirking before the camera rotated to Shigaraki standing with his back towards the man's own.
1:07 - 1:12
The villains of this arc were shown one at a time: First Nui, then Ariel, then a red haired man in a mask that covers his eyes, then a black haired girl in red with menacing yellow eyes.
1:13 - 1:20
The students of both Beacon and Cross Tag Duel Academy assemble from the right side of the screen, Duel Disks and cards at the ready before Izuku and Ruby charge ahead and summon Neos and Black Rose respectively.
1:20 - 1:32
The students of both academies were now seen standing right beside one another, with some additional students from Beacon, the academy's teachers, as well as the teachers from Cross Tag Duel Academy, added in, looking at the camera. During the end of the song, the sun suddenly drops, showing a broken moon, the students of Cross Tag Duel Academy showing concern and confusion.
End Opening Song
Izuku and his roommates were seen packing up for the trip. "You guys sure we're gonna have enough essentials for our stay?" Ochako asked the others.
"It's okay, Uraraka. If we run out, we can always buy more at the stores there." Ryuko assured her.
"But, Ryuko, what if they use a different currency from us? I don't think Cross Dollars are gonna cut it on Remnant." Mako pointed out.
"You think there may be a converter for that?" Izuku raised another question. "You know, where we could turn Cross Dollars into that currency and vice versa?"
"Hmph. I wouldn't need any of that crap." Katsuki scoffed.
"Of course YOU wouldn't, Bakugo, you only rely on yourself because you've got anger issues when you're working with someone else other than yourself." Ryuko smirked, making Katsuki growl.
"What'd you say, Shank!?"
"C'mon, ya freaking Pomeranian! I'll show ya a thing or three!"
Before the two could get into a fist fight, the group heard a jingle. "Five minutes until it is time to depart. I repeat. Five minutes until it is time to depart." The PA system announced.
"Crap! We'll settle this later! Right now, we've gotta move!" Ryuko exclaimed.
"Tch. Fine." Katsuki ticked.
After getting set up for the trip, the students go to the airport and find a bunch of planes for them to get in. Two of them are red, two of them are yellow, two of them are blue, and one of them is white. "Hmm, that white plane must be for the pros…" Izuku made an educated guess. "Some of the planes are of our student colors. Guess we'll see each other in one of the Ra planes?" He asked his roommates who nodded. Izuku nods back.
Once everyone has boarded, the planes leave for Remnant, eager students waiting to arrive.
Mysterious Location
Shigaraki was seen with Nui, Arfoire, Ariel, Terumi, Shou Tucker, and the Nomus. "Ah. So they're on their way to Remnant. That's what you heard?" Shigaraki asked Ariel.
"That's the word through the webs~" Ariel smiled. "I wonder if we'll meet kindred spirits, people that have little tolerance for the "heroes" and "hunters", just like us…"
"Hmph. We're bound to." Terumi huffed.
"I wonder what they'll think of my Myutant deck…" Shou hummed.
"We'll see when we get there ourselves." Arfoire declared.
"Ooh, everyone's getting excited~ I myself can't wait~!" Nui exclaimed excitedly.
"Okay, everybody. Let's go. We'll show Remnant our darkness the same way we'll show the rest of this world." Shigaraki said.
Remnant Airport
The planes land safely and allow the students and pro heroes to exit. "Yes, sir." Cidolfus said to one of the people working there. "We've got a whopping 80 Duel Runners ready for inspection. As soon as you're done, they'll be able to drive since they've got a learner's permit. Once they join the pros, they'll have a full-on license."
After he said that, the students were looking at Remnant from the airport and saw a bunch of people looking at them strangely, some human, some with an animal trait. These people were paying particular attention to Makoto and Mina, both of whom are fairly freakish themselves.
"Uh, why are they looking at me and Mina like that?" Makoto asked.
"I think it's because they aren't familiar with appearances outside of Remnant. Ribbit." Tsuyu croaked. "That or they think you look a little more freaky than what they're used to."
"...Jeez. Racist much?" Mina deadpanned.
"You shouldn't get discouraged. We're here to learn, after all." Cloud said to her.
"I-I know we are, but…" Mina managed to let out as Cloud proceeded.
"C'mon, extras. You heard him." Katsuki ordered as he went on ahead too. Soon enough, the whole student body followed the two, everyone taking care not to bump into anybody in the crowd and asking them to politely move out of the way.
As they were trying to get through the crowd, they heard some murmurs.
"Aren't these kids from that lady Satsuki's school?"
"Cross Tag Duel Academy, wasn't it?"
"Two of them look a little freaky…"
"Harold, you're being insensitive!"
"What?"
Mina and Makoto were glad there was at least ONE sensible person around.
After that, the group made it past the crowd. "Whew…" Izuku sighed in relief. "Is everyone here?"
"I'll count." Momo offered. After her head count… "It seems everyone got past the crowd."
Izuku sighs in relief. "That's really good to hear…"
"We should hurry, Midoriya. At this point, those stares are creeping me out…" Rindo stated, looking at the crowd still looking at them.
"Over here, people! No doubt you have a lot of questions." Baozhai called the crowd, getting their attention.
"Okay! NOW we should hurry!" Nami exclaimed as the students ran away.
Beacon Academy
Izuku, Juvia, Natsu, Naruto, Giorno, Tanjiro, Lucy, and Ichigo were seen walking to Beacon. "So this is Beacon Academy… Wow… That's one tall building…" Izuku pointed out.
"Yeah…" Ichigo nodded.
"I wonder if there's an elevator to get to the top…" Natsu said.
"There is. But it's for… special use only."
The group of eight see the eight students of Beacon that were shown during the opening sequence.
"Wow… I wonder what kind of decks these guys run…" Ruby hummed.
"Always curious about the cards they play, huh, Ruby?" The blonde girl asked.
"H-Hello." Izuku greeted the eight students. "My name's Izuku Midoriya."
"I'm Tanjiro Kamado."
"Name's Natsu Dragneel."
"Lucy Heartfillia."
"I'm Naruto Uzumaki!"
"My name is Giorno Giovanna."
"I'm Ichigo Kurosaki."
"And my name is Juvia Lockser." The eight students of CTDA introduced themselves.
"My name's Ruby Rose."
"I'm Weiss Schnee."
"Blake Belladonna."
"I'm Yang Xiao Long."
"I'm Jaune Arc."
"My name is Pyrrha Nikos."
"Nora Valkyrie~"
"Lie Ren." The eight students of Beacon returned the favor.
"Um, sorry for being so sudden, but… can I duel one of you guys?" Ruby asked.
"Ruby, you know we have to wait for them to have their own dorms. Even then, it's not guaranteed that we'll be dueling them in Duel Class." Weiss scolded Ruby.
"I'm sorry, Weiss! You know I can't help but ask!"
"Of course I know that!"
"So you guys have a Duel Class too?" Ichigo brought the class up.
"Yes. The Professor for that class is Glynda Goodwitch." Pyrrha stated to the others.
"We've actually got Professor Naga teaching us about regular Duels and Ri- Turbo Duels." Izuku brought her up.
"Oh wow, our teacher's got one upped by their teacher…" Blake let out, surprised.
"Well, guess we'll see you guys in class?" Ichigo asked the students of Beacon.
"Of course."
"You know it~"
"Don't be late."
"Ooh, it's so on~!" Weiss, Yang, Ren, and Nora respectively nodded.
Duel Class
Glynda was seen on the podium with a bit of a crowded audience surrounding her. "Hello, students. Glad you could make it. As most of you can see, we have guests from another school. Be sure to give them courtesy as well as everything you have when you Duel them." She stated. "Now then… Would the students from the other school please introduce themselves in an orderly fashion?"
After the 40 students introduce themselves…
The Beacon students murmur amongst themselves at the fact that there is a Faunus with both a tail and ears like that of a squirrel's, a frog-like Faunus, a pink skinned and haired girl with horns, and a boy that admits that he himself is a robot.
"Now, students, I know you have a lot of questions, but they will have to wait. We're behind schedule enough as it is." Glynda stated to the students. "Now then. One student from each school is chosen at random. And they will show each other, as well as us, what they can do. With that said, let's begin."
Two slots appeared with faces of the students being moved at high speeds. They suddenly stop.
"Mr. Kurosaki and Ms. Nikos." Glynda declared. Ichigo and Pyrrha head to the podium. "All right, you two. I want to see a good clean duel."
"Don't worry, teach. This won't take long." Ichigo assured her.
"Someone's confident, almost as if he doesn't know who he's dealing with…" Ren pointed out from the audience.
"You think he's underestimating her?" Jaune asked Ren.
"Hmm… I don't believe so. At least, I don't think he is INTENTIONALLY underestimating her…" Ren answered as Ichigo and Pyrrha prepared to duel.
"DUEL!"

"You don't mind if I take the first move, do you?" Ichigo offered Pyrrha.
"Not at all. Go right ahead." Pyrrha said.
Cue: Power Evolution (Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi)
"I'll start this duel by activating the Spell Pre-Preparation of Rites! This lets me add one Ritual Spell from my deck to my hand and then a Ritual Monster from my deck or graveyard whose name is mentioned on it! I'll add Ravenous Vendread and Vendread Scavenger. Now, I'll activate Foolish Burial! This lets me send one monster from my deck to the graveyard. I'll send Vendread Houndhordes." Ichigo began his turn.
"Foolish Burial? Why would anybody play that card?" Yang asked her teammates.
"Sometimes, despite the name, using Foolish Burial isn't exactly foolish." Weiss answered.
"And how would you know that?"
"You won't have to wait very long to find out."
"Now I'll activate the effect of the Houndhordes I sent to the graveyard. If this card is in my graveyard, I can discard another Vendread card to Special Summon it! But I must banish it once it leaves the field. I'll discard Scar of the Vendread to Special Summon Houndhordes!"
The zombie hounds appear by Ichigo's side.
DEF: 2100
"Told you." Weiss said to Yang with a knowing smile.
"Okay, but you guys know this is nothing compared to Pyrrha's beefy monsters, right?" Yang brought up.
"Who knows? Maybe he could surprise us…" Blake shrugged.
"Now I'll use my Scar's effect! If it's sent to the graveyard, I can add a Vendread Spell or Trap from my deck to my hand. I'll add Vendread Nights! Now I'll activate the Field Spell Vendread Nights!"
Buildings and a dome full of zombies were summoned as they surrounded the two. "Hope you like the aesthetics. Now I'll use one of the effects of my Vendread Nights! By discarding a card, I can add a Vendread monster from my deck to my hand! I'll discard Revendread Origin to add Revendread Slayer."
Ichigo smirks, getting Pyrrha cautious. "Now I'll activate the Ritual Spell Ravenous Vendread! This allows me to Special Summon a Vendread monster from my hand, deck, or graveyard in face-down Defense Position! Once I do, I use both that monster and other monsters on my field to Ritual Summon a Vendread Ritual Monster from my hand or graveyard! I'll Special Set Vendread Revenants then use them as material along with my Houndhordes!"
Revenants and Houndhordes are sent into a pot where the contents inside rot before Revendread Slayer appears. "I'll Ritual Summon… Revendread Slayer!"

"Now I'll use the second effect of my Scar! When one or more monsters on the field have been tributed, I can banish another zombie-type monster from my graveyard to Special Summon it! I'll banish Revenants!"

"Those are some pretty strong monsters…" Jaune pointed out.
"Yeah, but Pyrrha's got this~" Nora stated confidently.
"My turn! Draw! I'll activate the Spell Pot of Greed to draw two cards!" Pyrrha exclaimed, doing so. "Next, I'll activate the Spell Reinforcement of the Army!" She told him as she showed a Spell that involves a captain charging into battle with reinforcements. "This lets me add a level 4 or lower Warrior-type monster from my deck to my hand! I'll add Heroic Challenger - Thousand Blades. Next, since you control monsters and I do not, I can Special Summon Heroic Challenger - Assault Halberd!"
Pyrrha summons a warrior in purple armor wielding a halberd.

"Next, I'll Normal Summon Heroic Challenger - Thousand Blades, the monster I just added!"
Pyrrha summons a warrior in silver armor with a thousand blades on his back.

"Good move, but I don't think either of them can match my monsters." Ichigo said.
"Alone, that's true. But I'll let you hold onto that illusion for now. I'll now activate the Spell Heroic Envoy!" Pyrrha continued her turn as she showed a Spartan charging into battle. "This allows me to add another Heroic monster from my deck to my hand. I'll add Heroic Challenger - Knuckle Sword! After that, since I control a Heroic monster that isn't a level 1 monster, I can Special Summon him!"
Pyrrha summons a warrior with a sword that he wields backhandedly.

"Now I'll use Knuckle Sword's other effect! When he's Normal or Special Summoned, I can target one other Heroic monster I control. This allows me to either have the monster I targeted share Knuckle Sword's level or have Knuckle Sword's level become that monster's level. I'll choose the latter! Knuckle Sword's level rises to 4!"

"Now I'll activate the effect of my Thousand Blades! Once per turn, while he is in Attack Position, I can discard a Heroic monster to Special Summon another one from my deck then change the Position of my Thousand Blades! I'll discard Morning Star to Special Summon, from my deck, Heroic Challenger - Extra Sword!"
Pyrrha summons a green and silver armored warrior with two swords.

"Now I'll activate the Spell card Heroic Call!" Pyrrha continued as she showed a Spell that has the image of the Spartan reaching out to another Heroic Challenger. "This allows me to Special Summon another Warrior monster from my hand or graveyard! But! If I summoned a non-Heroic monster with this, the monster I'll summon has its effects negated! I'll Special Summon the monster I just discarded: Heroic Challenger - Morning Star!"
Pyrrha summons a burly armored warrior with, what else, a morningstar for a weapon.
ATK: 1500
"When Morning Star is summoned, I can add a Heroic Spell or Trap from my deck to my hand. I'll add a second copy of the Spell Heroic Envoy." Pyrrha declared then took a deep breath. Ichigo raises an eyebrow.
"I overlay all five of my level 4 Heroic Challengers! Morning Star! Knuckle Sword! Extra Sword! Thousand Blades! Assault Halberd!"
The five monsters change into five human shaped energies in orange color before flying into the air and into a galaxy-like vortex. "With these five monsters, I will build the Overlay Network!"
The vortex explodes. "Let light be released from the ends of the world! The noble spirit shall thrust unto evil and deliver this world from the chaos of the storm into a new shining order! XYZ SUMMON! Pierce through! Rank 4: NUMBER 86: HEROIC CHAMPION - RHONGOMYNIAD!"
Pyrrha summons a giant white and gold armored warrior with the number 86 on its left leg.

Ichigo whistles, impressed by the monster's size. "You're right to be impressed, Ichigo. Rhongomyniad is quite the strong monster to behold. It also has effects depending on the number of Overlay Units it has."
"Okay. Hit me." Ichigo taunted her.
"If that's exactly what you want…" Pyrrha shrugged. "First, while it has at least one Overlay Unit, Rhongomyniad cannot be destroyed in battle. Second, while it has two Overlay Units, it gains 1500 Attack and Defense Points."
RHONGOMYNIAD ATK: 1500 + 1500 = 3000
"Oh, that's not good." Ichigo let out.
End Song and Cue: Soredemo, Ikiru Koto wa Gekiteki da (Medaka Box)
"And I'm not finished explaining his effects. Third, while it has three Overlay Units, Rhongomyniad cannot be affected by other card effects."
'So the Forbidden Droplet I have yet to get in my hand is completely useless…' Ichigo thought.
"Fourth, while it has four Overlay Units, you cannot Normal or Special Summon monsters."
'Well, there goes a lot of my combos…'
"And finally… while it has five Overlay Units, I can decide to destroy all cards you control once per turn!"
"WHAT!?" Ichigo yelled in shock.
"Whoa, that's such a good card…!" Izuku gasped as Rhongominiyad summoned a colossal spear and sent it at Ichigo's field.
"I'm activating the trap card Secret Blast!" Ichigo grunted as he showed a trap card where goblins discover an explosive. "When I activate this card, you take 300 points of damage for each card you control! And that's not all. When you destroy this card and send it to the graveyard, you take 1000 points of damage!"
Pyrrha grunts from the sudden explosion in her face as Ichigo's cards are destroyed.
PYRRHA LP: 4000 - 1300 = 2700
"Furthermore, since you destroyed Scar and sent it to the graveyard again, I get to add another Vendread Spell or Trap from my deck to my hand. I'll add a second Revendread Origin."
"Regardless, this is where it ends." Pyrrha declared.
"What are you talking about? Your monster doesn't have enough Attack Points to beat me yet!" Ichigo exclaimed. "Next turn, I'll just set a monster-"
"There IS no next turn." Pyrrha interrupted, making Ichigo huff in confusion. "When Heroic Challenger - Extra Sword is used as material for the summoning of an Xyz monster, that monster gains 1000 Attack Points!"
RHONGOMYNIAD ATK: 3000 + 1000 = 4000
"Crap!"
"Rhongomyniad attacks directly!" Pyrrha declared as her monster threw his lance at Ichigo.
However…
"I'm activating the effect of my Kuriboh!" Ichigo exclaimed. "By discarding this card, I can reduce all Battle Damage from your attack down to 0!"
A brown puffball with eyes appears in front of the lance and blocks it, forcing Rhongomyniad to catch it before said puffball disappears.
"Looks like you bought yourself another turn, Ichigo." Pyrrha hummed.
"Yeah… That was way too close." Ichigo agreed.
"Well, with nothing else to do, I'll go ahead and end my turn."
"My turn! Draw!" Ichigo growled. "Just like you, I'll play Pot of Greed to draw two cards! I set one monster then one card face down. Your move!"
End Song and Cue: Prepare Yourself (Glitchtale)
"During my opponent's End Phase, I must detach one material from Rhongomyniad." Pyrrha said as one of the materials disappears. "My turn! Draw! I'm activating the second copy of Heroic Envoy that I added during my previous turn. This time, I'll add a second Heroic Challenger - Assault Halberd. Next, I'll Normal Summon a second Heroic Challenger - Thousand Blades!"

"I'll then use its effect, discarding the Assault Halberd to Special Summon a second Morning Star!"
ATK: 1500
"His effect activates, allowing me to add a third Heroic Envoy from my deck to my hand. I will then overlay level 4 Thousand Blades and Morning Star!"
The two monsters go into a red vortex this time. "Xyz Summon! Cut through! Rank 4: Heroic Champion - Excalibur!"
Pyrrha summons a large red armored warrior with an equally large sword.

ATK: 2000
"Excalibur, attack that set monster!" Pyrrha commanded. Excalibur puts his strength into the sword and swings it at the monster.
A scythe meets its blade and blocks it completely.
DEF: 200
"Heh." Ichigo smirked as Excalibur was pushed back.
"What's going on? Why did Excalibur's attack do nothing?"
"Simple. Like your Rhongomyniad while it has at least 1 Overlay Unit, the monster you attacked, Spirit Reaper, can't be destroyed in battle."
"Ah…! …All right then. I'll end my turn."
"My turn! Draw!" Ichigo rips a card from his deck. 'This will help me out later. Right now, I need to make sure Spirit Reaper is still on the field.' He thought. "I'm confident with what I've got in my field for now. I'll end my turn. And with your Rhongomyniad's second Overlay Unit gone, I can Normal and Special Summon monsters again."
"That may be, but as soon as I deal with your Spirit Reaper, you won't last long enough to use them!"
"Oh yeah? Show me how you're gonna prove that." Ichigo provoked.
"Gladly. My turn! Draw!" Pyrrha growled, ripping a card from her deck. "I'm activating my third Heroic Envoy to add Heroic Challenger - Swordshield from my deck to my hand. Next, I'll activate the Spell card Forbidden Chalice!" She continued as she showed a woman drinking from a chalice. "This card increases your monster's Attack Points by 400, but negates its effects!"
"Huh. Guess I get to keep it around for one attack." Ichigo huffed.
"What do you mean?" Pyrrha asked.
"Normally, when Spirit Reaper is targeted by a card effect, Spirit Reaper destroys itself. But with its effects negated, sure it can be destroyed in battle, but at least it'll still be around to block at least one attack." Ichigo answered.
"Either way, Excalibur attacks Spirit Reaper!" Pyrrha declared as she sent Excalibur to attack Ichigo's monster.
"I'm activating the trap Sakuretsu Armor!" Ichigo proclaimed as he revealed a trap with the image of someone wearing an armor that destroys everything in its wearer's path. "When you attack with a monster, I can activate this trap card and destroy your attacking monster!"
"No!" Pyrrha gasped as Excalibur was blown away by the trap's effect.
"Sorry about your monster's Overlay Units. But you know I can't hold anything back." Ichigo apologized.
"No, it's fine. I'm having fun with this. Either way, Rhongomyniad! Avenge Excalibur and attack Ichigo's Spirit Reaper!"
At Pyrrha's command, The large warrior destroys the specter, leaving Ichigo's field with no monsters and no spells or traps. "I end my turn." Pyrrha said.

"First, I'll summon my second copy of Vendread Revenants!" Ichigo began as he summoned a horde of zombies.

"Now I'll activate the Spell card Card of Demise! This allows me to draw cards until I have five in my hand! But during my fifth Standby Phase after activation, I must discard my entire hand. Now I'll activate the Spell Vendread Charge!" Ichigo continued as he showed a Spell card with the image of a horde of powerful zombies ready for combat. "This card lets me send a Zombie type monster from my hand to the graveyard to Special Summon a Vendread monster from my deck. I'll discard Vendread Striges to Special Summon Vendread Anima!"
Ichigo summons what looks like a zombie-like demon.

"Next, since Striges was sent to the grave, I can reveal a Vendread card from my hand to Special Summon it from my graveyard but also banish it when it leaves the field. I'll reveal my second copy of Ravenous Vendread."
Ichigo summons a horde of zombie birds.

"Now I'll activate the card I just revealed: Ravenous Vendread! With it, I'll Special Set Vendread Core! Now, by using it, Anima, Striges, and Revenants… I Ritual Summon!"
The monsters used enter another pot. "Injured with pain and sadness, the you that cannot be healed, shoulder the burden of the past that cannot be erased! RITUAL SUMMON! Drive your life! Level 8! REVENDREAD EXECUTOR!"
Ichigo summons an evolved version of Revendread Slayer.

"Next, I'll place two cards face down. That ends my turn." Ichigo said.
'What is he planning…? No. I should save those thoughts for later. My Rhongomyniad will run out of Overlay Units if I don't settle this now…!' Pyrrha grumbled in her thoughts. "My turn! Draw! Rhongomyniad will attack your Revendread Executor!"
"Just what I was hoping you'd do~" Ichigo smirked, shocking Pyrrha as her Rhongomyniad went to attack Executor at her command.
'Oh no! What's he going to…!?'
"I'm activating the face-down Quick-Play Spell, Zombie Power Struggle!" Ichigo exclaimed as he showed an image of two zombies battling. "This allows me to have one Zombie type monster on the field either increase or decrease its Attack Points by 1000! I'll increase Executor's Attack Points by 1000!"
EXECUTOR ATK: 3000 + 1000 = 4000
"But don't forget! You may not take any damage, but Rhongomyniad cannot be destroyed in battle!" Pyrrha reminded him.
"I know. I just wanted my Executor to be strong enough for what comes next. Say. Isn't that last Overlay Unit your monster had your third one removed? Wouldn't that mean your monster can be affected by card effects now?"
"Ah! You wouldn't!" Pyrrha gasped in realization.
"Oh, but I will~" Ichigo smirked. "I'm activating the Trap Ghosts from the Past!" He exclaimed as he showed a trap with the image of a warrior being held back and weakened by two ghosts. "By banishing two monsters from my graveyard, I can reduce the Attack Points of one Attack Position monster you control all the way down to a big fat 0! I'll banish Vendreads Anima and Core!"

"I… I'm activating the effect of Heroic Challenger - Swordshield from my hand! Since I control a face-up Heroic monster, I can discard this card to prevent myself from taking any Battle Damage! Furthermore, my monsters are not destroyed in battle this turn!"
The two monsters clash, but end up knocking each other back. The students of Beacon show confusion as to how Pyrrha's not winning this duel. She's the "Invincible Girl", after all!

"Pyrrha…" Jaune gasped
"She's getting desperate…" Ren let out.
"Oh man… Pyrrha…" Nora moaned worriedly.
"...I… I'll place one card face down and end my turn." Pyrrha said.
"During the End Phase, the Attack Points of our monsters return to normal." Ichigo stated.

"My turn! Draw! I'm activating the effect of my Executor! Once per turn, I can banish one Special Summoned monster you control! I'm banishing Number 86: Heroic Champion - Rhongomyniad!"
Pyrrha looks on in shock as Executor charges at Rhongomyniad and pierces through the large warrior and comes out of the other side. "And now… it's over."
Pyrrha sighs. "So it is… My first loss… Heh… Is this… what it's like? To lose? …I'm… not invincible. I never was. I never WANTED to be invincible… But if I'm not, then… what AM I…!?"
"...A person that can get stronger." Ichigo stated matter of factly, getting Pyrrha's attention. "Nobody's invincible. They just haven't experienced loss yet. You're one of those people that had their first experience with losing a duel. It may feel devastating, but… you can only grow stronger from here."
Pyrrha looked at him with wide eyes before looking down and chuckling. "Thank you… Ichigo…"
Ichigo smiles back. "Revendread Executor… attacks directly!"
Executor leaps back to Ichigo's side and prepares a devastating attack. "GRAND RAY ZERO!" Ichigo shouted as Executor fired a huge blue and white beam that completely envelops Pyrrha, defeating her, but as the smoke cleared, she was completely fine, chuckling and laughing happily with tears in her eyes.

Pyrrha suddenly found no strength to laugh or even chuckle, only to pant in exhaustion as she fell to her knees. "Well, Mr. Kurosaki. How does it feel to defeat Pyrrha, the… formerly… Invincible Girl?" Glynda asked Ichigo.
"...I could care less about beating someone with such a grand title. As long as it's all in good fun, then it feels good all the same, whether I win or lose. I meant every word I said, Professor. That's my story… and I'm sticking to it. Whether I become the Invincible Boy, Guy, or whatever, or not is up to everyone watching our duel. I don't need a title to be a great duelist." Ichigo answered before looking at Pyrrha. "And that's something Pyrrha showed too." He said, Pyrrha looking at him, surprised. Ichigo looks back with a smile.
"Well said. Your Vendread monsters are certainly powerful. However, there's one thing I wish to know. I don't see the inclusion of banishing a Special Summoned monster anywhere on the card text of your Revendread Executor."
"Oh, that." Ichigo huffed. "That's from Vendread Revenants."
"...Elaborate."
"When Vendread Revenants is tributed from the field for the summoning of a Vendread Ritual Monster, that Ritual monster gains the effect of banishing a Special Summoned monster the controller's opponent controls."
Glynda raises both her eyebrows as the Beacon students murmur amongst themselves. "I suppose, then, we'll move onto Ms. Nikos."
Pyrrha stands up, looking down. "Ms. Nikos. While I can't say for sure you'll be living up to your title any longer, what I CAN say is that there's no shame in losing a fair clean duel that is played for fun." Glynda said to her. "And like Mr. Kurosaki said during your duel with him, you can only grow stronger from your first loss."
"And… about what I did during my duel with him?" Pyrrha asked.
"As always, I saw no flaws about what cards you used against him. He was just simply better."
"Speaking of cards, I didn't get to see her face down card." Ichigo pointed out.
"That would be Battleguard Rage. A Continuous Trap that would increase Rhongomyniad's Attack Points by 1000 since it's a Warrior-type monster. However, that would prove ultimately fruitless against your Executor's Effect given to him by your Revenants."
"Oh, it's an Attack Booster…? Okay. That makes sense." Ichigo nodded. Glynda nods back at him.
"Anyway, that is all I have to say for this duel. You may now both return to your seats." Glynda sent them off. Ichigo tilts his body downwards.
"Thanks for the match." Ichigo thanked her.
"Uh… R-Right. T-Thanks to you too…" Pyrrha bowed back. The Beacon students murmur more and more as Pyrrha and Ichigo return to their seats.
"Pyrrha…" Jaune called.
"It's okay, Jaune. I'm fine. It's just that… I've never felt so… relieved to have lost like that… It felt… liberating, even…" Pyrrha praised her loss, despite what some people may think of that…
"Did you… have fun?" Nora asked Pyrrha.
"Of course~! That's what Duel Monsters is all about, right?" Pyrrha asked back. The three people beside her smile at her as the slots stop once again.
"Mr. Giovanna will be dueling against Ms. Rose." Glynda declared as Giorno and Ruby stepped up to the plate.
"Let's have a good match, Ruby." Giorno said to her, a hand stretched out to her.
"Yeah! Of course!" Ruby nodded, shaking his hand. 'He's kind of a soft speaker… I hope he speaks up once we duel, though…'
The two go to their spots and prepare the disks.

"I'll allow you to go first." Giorno said to her.
"Ooh, what a gentleman he is, letting my little sis go first~" Yang cooed.

"Okay! First, I'll activate the Spell Graceful Charity! This lets me draw three cards then discard two! I draw three cards then discard Rose Lover and Glow-Up Bulb! Next, I'll activate the Continuous Spell Seed Cannon!"
Ruby summons a plant-like bulb that is quite small. "You'll know what this does soon enough~ Now I'll Normal Summon Twilight Rose Knight!"
Ruby summons the knight from her duel with Satsuki.

"When Normal Summoned, this monster allows me to Special Summon a level 4 or lower Plant type monster from my hand! I'll Special Summon the level 1 Evil Thorn!"
"I'll chain the effect of Maxx "C" from my hand. Whenever you Special Summon one or more monsters, I get to draw a card from my deck each time you Special Summon said monster or monsters." Giorno chained.
The bag of thorns Midnight used against Ichigo appears by Ruby's side, allowing Giorno to draw a card.

"Oh hey, that's a monster Lady Midnight used against me…" Ichigo pointed out. …Thank you, Captain Obvious. At any rate, the bulb starts bulging.
"Next, I'll use Evil Thorn's effect! By tributing this monster, I can inflict 300 points of damage!"
The bag explodes and launches thorns at Giorno who grunted from the damage.

"I then get to Special Summon as many Evil Thorns from my deck as possible!"
Two more Evil Thorns appeared, allowing Giorno to draw another card while the bulb bulged even more. "Now, I tune level 3 Twilight Rose Knight and my two level 1 Evil Thorns!"
The knight and thorns change into the materials used for Synchro Summoning. "Synchro Summon! Bloom! Level 5: Garden Rose Maiden!"
An alabaster maiden appears with grace and elegance. Giorno draws. The bulb gets bigger.

A tiny flower with an eye in its roots appears, allowing Giorno to draw while the bulb grows to its maximum size.

"Now, I'll tune level 1 Glow-Up Bulb with my level 5 Garden Rose Maiden!"
The bulb changes into a ring while the Maiden changes into five motes of light that change into a green beam. "Synchro Summon! Trap them! Level 6: Queen of Thorns!"
Ruby summons an elegant plant lady with thorns and claws for weapons.

"Now we both have to pay 1000 Life Points each time we want to summon a non-Plant type monster~" Ruby warned Giorno.
"And considering that you have only Plant type monsters in your deck, then it's an effective floodgate…" Giorno hummed, drawing a card.
"You're dang right, it is~ Now I'll place one card face down then activate the effect of Rose Lover from my graveyard! By banishing her, I can Special Summon a Plant type monster from my hand! Come on out! Chirubime, Princess of Autumn Leaves!"
One of Ruby's plant-type Princesses appears.

"Now, I'll activate the Field Spell Black Garden!" Ruby exclaimed as she summoned a garden full of black thorns surrounding the two. "Now every time either of us summons a monster, that monster's Attack Points are cut in half then the controller of that monster summons a Rose Token to their opponent's side of the field~"
'So even if I have a monster that can defeat Queen of Thorns, thereby beating the floodgate monster, I'd still have trouble… Well, not that it matters…' Giorno thought.
"Now, I'll use the effect of my Seed Cannon! Since I've Special Summoned more than five Plant monsters, my Seed Cannon has a maximum of five counters! By sending this card to the graveyard, I can deal 500 points of damage for each counter on it! Seed Cannon… FIRE!" Ruby shouted as the bulb changed into a plant-like cannon and fired a barrage of seeds at Giorno.
"I'm activating the effect of Hanewata from my hand! By discarding this card, I negate all effect damage dealt to me!" Giorno declares as he discards a cute fairy that appears and blocks the seeds, effectively protecting Giorno.
"Drat. I'll activate the Spell card Pot of Avarice!" Ruby exclaimed, showing a Spell that has an avaricious face on a pot. "By returning five monsters from my graveyard to my deck and then shuffling it, I get to draw two cards! I'll return my three Evil Thorns, Twilight Rose Knight, and Glow-Up Bulb then draw two cards! With that, I'll end my turn!"
"My turn. Draw! First, I'll activate the Trap Infinite Impermanence from my hand since I don't control a single card to negate the effects of your Queen of Thorns."
A lightning bolt strikes her, weakening the Queen of Thorns. "Next, I'll activate Mystical Space Typhoon. This card destroys a Spell or Trap on the field. I'll destroy your Black Garden!"
A blue cyclone surrounds the garden, destroying it. "Sorry, but I couldn't allow such floodgates to impede my strategy. You understand." Giorno apologized.
End Song and Cue: Conciliation (Blazblue Central Fiction/Cross Tag Battle)
"Next, I'll activate the Spell Pot of Prosperity. This card lets me banish either 3 or 6 cards from my Extra Deck face down. After that, I reveal the top number of cards from my Main Deck equal to the amount of cards I banished. After that, I get to add one of them to my hand and place the rest to the bottom of my deck." Giorno stated.
"Wait! If you banish six, that's almost half your Extra Deck gone!" Ruby exclaimed.
"I'm well aware of the risk." Giorno said. "Regardless… I'm banishing six cards from my Extra Deck face down! I then reveal the top six cards: A second Infinite Impermanence, Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, Traptrix Holeutea, Ice Dragon's Prison, a second Ash Blossom, and a second Holeutea. I'll add a second Infinite Impermanence."
'Traptrix… Not an archetype I've heard before…' Blake thought.
"Now I'll enter my Battle Phase and immediately end it to activate this trap card from my hand since I still control no cards: Evenly Matched!" Giorno growled, showing a trap that has the image of two warriors being, well, evenly matched. "This card allows me to force you to choose cards on your side of the field equal to the amount of cards I currently control. Those cards remain while everything else on your side of the field is banished! Since I currently control Evenly Matched, you'll need to choose one of your cards to spare from being banished."
"Gah… I… I'll choose Chirubime!"
"Then your Queen of Thorns and your face down card are banished!"
"I'll chain Zero Gravity to switch Chirubime to Defense Position!" Ruby exclaimed.

"Interesting. I'll summon Traptrix Pudica!"
Giorno summons her pudica plant girl.

Giorno summons a girl with clothes similar to that of one of the nine fungus gnat species.

"Now Pudica's effect. I get to add Traptrip Garden. Now I'll activate it." Giorno declared as he summoned a field of yellow flowers.
"Oh wow, you made the field so pretty~!" Ruby giggled.
"There's more to it than just making it pretty. As long as this card's on the field, I can Normal Summon a Traptrix monster in addition to my Normal Summon or Set. I'll use its effect to Normal Summon Traptrix Atrax!"
Giorno's Atrax appears by his side once again.

"Now I'll set Traptrix Trap Hole Nightmare into my Spell and Trap Zone." Giorno stated as he did so.
"Wait, why would you say the name of your Trap card?" Ruby asked.
"That's because by sending a set Trap card I control to the graveyard, I can Special Summon this monster: Come out! Traptrix Vesiculo!"
A girl with the clothes of an Aldrovanda vesiculosa appears.

"Now I'll set the last card in my hand. Open! Circuit that guides life! Summoning condition is two or more Insect or Plant type monsters! I'll send Pudica, Vesiculo, and Arachnocampa to the Link Markers!"
The three declared monsters soar into the arrows pointing down, left, and right. "Fight with me, even if there is no hope! Our prayer will never vanish into dust as it all begins with the golden wind! LINK SUMMON! Spin your webs! Link 3: TRAPTRIX ATYPUS!"
Giorno summons the purseweb spider imitating girl that is his Link Monster.

Atypus wraps poisonous webs around Chirubime, destroying her. "Gh…! Dang it…! Her effects are negated, which means no new Plant type monster from my deck…!" Ruby grimaced.
"I cannot attack due to the fact that I've used Evenly Matched during the end of my Battle Phase. I'll go ahead and end my turn now." Giorno finished.
"My turn! Draw! I'll activate Pot of Greed to draw two cards!" Ruby did so. "All right! Now I'll activate the Spell card One for One! By discarding a monster, I can Special Summon a level 1 monster from my deck! I'll Special Summon Evil Thorn!"
Her droopy flower with a spiked bulb appeared again.

Roxrose turns into three green rings while White Rose turns into four motes of light. "Red like roses fills my dreams and brings me to the place you rest… Cold flames envelop the entire world… Thus kindly scatter and bring me victory! SYNCHRO SUMMON! Appear now! Level 7: BLACK ROSE DRAGON!"
Ruby's chant completed, the black dragon with red roses from her duel with Satsuki appears again.

A galing hurricane covers the field and destroys both Black Rose Dragon and Giorno's cards.

"And I'm just getting started~!" Ruby declared. "Time for the strategy I used against Penny! Didn't work out, but I'm sure this will work out just fine! This time for sure! By banishing Garden Rose Maiden from my graveyard, I can Special Summon a Rose Dragon from my graveyard! Next, I'll activate the Quick-Play Spell Basal Rose Shoot!" She continued as she showed a Spell with the image of Black Rose Dragon with pink glowing eyes and pink glowing thorny vines. "This allows me to Special Summon another Rose Dragon from my graveyard! Revive! Roxrose Dragon! Black Rose Dragon!"
The two dragons come back.

"And now my two monsters will attack directly!"
Roxrose and Black Rose fire their beams at Giorno who had no choice but to grunt from the impact and groan in defeat.

"Trap Hole… cards?" Ruby tilted her head. "You have three of those?"
"I'm actually referring to the archetype." Giorno stated. Ruby blinked in confusion. "With the exception of "Adhesion Trap Hole" and "Floodgate Trap Hole", "Trap Hole" cards have effects that destroy 1 or more monsters under certain conditions. Take for example this card." He said, showing the trap card Bottomless Trap Hole.
"Oh, so that's why you said that…" Ruby hummed.
"Ahem." Glynda cleared her throat. "While I appreciate you two talking to each other like this, I believe we'll need to move on to our third and final duel for the day."
"Oh! Sorry!" Ruby apologized.
"No, I'm the one who started this conversation. I should be sorry." Giorno said.
"BOTH OF YOU. SEATS. NOW."
The two retreat to their respective seats, not wanting to risk Glynda getting any angrier. The professor then did a deep inhale then exhaled as the slots stopped one more time. "The third and final duel will be between Mr. Dragneel and Ms. Xiao Long.
Natsu and Yang step up to the podium. Yang whistles, impressed by Natsu's physique, now that she has a closer look at him. "Not bad~" She muttered.
"You remind me a lot of Lucy." Natsu suddenly said.
"Oh, that blonde girl that was with you and the others?" Yang asked.
"Yeah. I mean, you both have the same hair color and body type, but your hair is longer and you seem built more for up close and personal stuff." Natsu answered. "Well… I'm built like that too~!"
"Heh. Well then~ How about we get started?" Yang offered.
"Gladly!" Natsu growled excitedly as the two pulled out their Duel Disks.
"DUEL!"

Next, since a Salamangreat monster was sent to my graveyard, except during the Damage Step, I can Special Summon Salamangreat Gazelle!"
Natsu summons the gazelle who gallops leaving hoofprints of fire.

Natsu summons a good old fashioned volcano field. "Now I'll use its effect! Once per turn… I can Reincarnation Link Summon!"
"You can… what?" Yang tilted her head.
"Reincarnation Link Summon. It's a different Link Summoning method. It simply means that I can use a Link Monster I control as the entire Link material! Watch!" Natsu exclaimed as Sunlight Wolf soars into a pink and white portal before the portal lets out a geyser of flame as Sunlight Wolf reappears with more flames than ever.

"Now I'll use my Sunlight Wolf's effect! When he is Reincarnation Link Summoned, I can add a Salamangreat Spell or Trap from my graveyard to my hand! I'll add Salamangreat Rage! Then, I'll use Salamangreat Spinny's effect from my graveyard! Since I control a Salamangreat monster other than Spinny, I can Special Summon him, but I must banish him when he leaves the field!"
Natsu summons an armadillo of fire.

"Now I'll use Sunlight Wolf's other effect! If a monster is Normal or Special Summoned to a zone this card points to, I can add one FIRE monster from my graveyard to my hand, but I can't Normal or Special Summon cards with that name for the rest of this turn. I'll add the monster I discarded using Cynet Mining: Salamangreat Foxy! I'll set three cards face down and end my turn!" Natsu finished his turn.
"My turn! Draw! Since I've got no monsters on the field, I can Special Summon Vice Dragon with its Attack and Defense Points cut in half!"
Yang summons a purple dragon that looks like a gray gargoyle.

"Next, I'll Normal Summon Red Resonator!"
She now summons a small fiend with an equally small scythe, a tuning fork, and a flaming robe.

"When this card is Normal Summoned, I can Special Summon a level 4 or lower monster from my hand! I'll Special Summon Wandering King Wildwind!"
The blazing gremlin threw up sparks that cascaded into a flaming curtain of which a muscular feline warrior in a green cape appeared.

'If I can summon Clear Wing this time, I can clear the field…! But… can I do it this time…?' Yang asked herself before shaking her head. 'No. I've got a better idea!' She thought. "I tune level 2 Red Resonator with level 4 Wandering King Wildwind!"
The fiend and warrior turn into two green rings and four motes of light respectively before a green beam of energy appears. "Synchro Summon! Blaze on! Level 6: Red Rising Dragon!"
Yang summons a blazing dragon who screeches upon its summon.

"Now I'll activate its effect!"
"I'll activate Infinite Impermanence!"
"WHAT!? You have that too!?" Yang exclaimed.
"Of course. I don't know why you're so surprised. It's such a good card!" Natsu told her. Yang sighed, putting a palm to her face.
"You're right… Why am I even surprised that you'd have a card like that…?" Yang groaned.
"This card negates your Rising Dragon's effect! Also, since I activated this trap card on the field, any card in its same column will have its effects negated too!" Natsu declared.
"Okay, THAT I didn't know." Yang pointed out. "Well, whatever! Since I can't summon a Resonator monster, I can still beat down your Sunlight Wolf with Red Rising Dragon!"
"No, you won't! I'm activating the trap Salamangreat Rage!" Natsu denied as he showed a trap with Heatleo acting out of rage. "This card lets me either send a Salamangreat monster from my hand or face-up field to the graveyard to destroy one card on the field or target a Reincarnation Link Summoned Salamangreat monster I control and destroy cards my opponent controls up to its Link Rating! I'll choose to activate the latter effect and target my Sunlight Wolf and destroy your dragons!"
"No!" Yang yelped as her two dragons were destroyed. "Guh… I place two cards face down and end my turn!"
"My turn! Draw!" Natsu growled excitedly as he drew the top card. "Looks like I win~"
"Huh? How do YOU know?" Yang huffed in confusion.
"You know how my Spinny has a level of 4, right?"
"Yeah…?"
"Well, guess what I just drew~ Salamangreat Zebroid X, which I will now summon onto the field!"
Natsu summons a cybernetic zebra with flames on it.

"And you know what that means, don't ya?"
"No. You can Xyz Summon!?" Yang gasped.
"Hehe~" Natsu chuckled. "I'll now overlay level 4 Salamangreat Spinny and Zebroid X!"
The two monsters turn into red beams of energy that twist and turn before being sent into a red vortex which then explodes. "The scorching dragon that incinerates between the sky and sea! Keep on burning your fire and drown the nightmares! XYZ SUMMON! Appear, Rank 4! SALAMANGREAT BLAZE DRAGON!"
Natsu summons a grand and destructive cybernetic dragon with flames growing from its shoulders.

"It's got 2300 Attack Points while Sunlight Wolf has 1800. I bet you can do the math and therefore know what happens when I attack with both of them." Natsu smirked.
"...I'd lose." Yang replied.
"And that's what's gonna happen right now! Go! Blaze Dragon and Sunlight Wolf!"
"I'm activating the trap Powerful Rebirth!" Yang interfered with the direct attack as she showed a trap with a monster growing stronger from its resurrection. "This allows me to Special Summon a level 4 or lower monster from my graveyard and increase its level by 1 and its Attack and Defense Points by 100! Come on back! Wandering King Wildwind!"
Yang brings back her feline warrior.

"I attacked with Blaze Dragon first, so I'll go ahead and attack Wildwind with Blaze Dragon!" Natsu declared as Blaze Dragon charges at Wildwind.
"I thought you'd do that~" Yang smirked before revealing a trap that has the image of a monster with a powerful aura. "I'm activating my second trap, Prideful Roar! When you use a monster to attack one of my monsters that has lower Attack Points than it, I can pay Life Points equal to the difference and increase my monster's Attack Points by that much plus 300 more!"
"The heck!? I never heard of that card anywhere outside of my continent!" Natsu yelled in shock.
"I don't know what you're surprised about~ It's such a good card~" Yang replied.
"Hey! Those are my words! You can't use them against me!" Natsu exclaimed indignantly.
"Sorry, it's just too much fun… NATSU~" Yang punned, making everyone facepalm except Glynda who sighs deeply and Natsu who just looks confused.
"...I don't get it." Natsu said.
"Well, what you WILL get is that your Blaze Dragon's gone!" Yang proclaimed.
Wildwind catches Blaze Dragon and stabs it in the chest, the shockwave of the stab damaging Natsu and Yang, Yang getting damaged more.
ATK DIFFERENCE: 2300 - 1800 = 500
YANG LP: 4000 - 500 = 3500
WKW ATK: 1800 + 500 = 2300 + 300 = 2600
NATSU LP: 4000 - 300 = 3700
"How'd you like THEM apples~!?" Yang asked in victory only for one of Blaze Dragon's Overlay Units to disappear and him to grab Whirlwind's sword and get it out of him before soaring to Natsu's side. "Huh!? Why isn't your monster gone!? Wait… Its Overlay Units!"
"Just realized that, huh? That's right. Whenever my Blaze Dragon would be destroyed in battle or by a card effect, I can just go ahead and detach one of its Overlay Units instead~ Salamangreat Blaze Dragon gets to live and fight another day!"
"Tch… Still, Whirlwind and Sunlight Wolf have the same amount of Attack Points. Wanna give attacking him another go?" Yang taunted.
"Well, since Prideful Roar's power boost only lasts until after damage calculation… sure, why not~?" Natsu asked back.
"Huh?" Yang huffed in confusion.
"Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf attacks Wandering King Wildwind!" Natsu growled excitedly as he commanded his wolf to attack.
"Wait, but your Wolf will be gone too! And if Blaze Dragon's on your Main Monster Zone, then…!"
"Don't worry, I've got this~ I'm activating the effect of my Salamangreat Baelynx from my graveyard! Whenever one or more of my Salamangreats would be destroyed in battle or by a card effect, I can banish Baelynx instead!"
Wolf's attack goes through, destroying Wildwind and destroying Yang's Powerful Rebirth while she looks on in shock.
"No way…" Yang let out in marvel.
"With that, I end my turn! I may be an idiot, but even I can tell that this is over." Natsu proclaimed.
Yang… chuckles then laughs. "Over~!? I thought you'd realize that this has only just gotten started~!"
"Oh yeah? Show me!"
"Ask and thou shalt receive! My turn! Draw!" Yang yelled. 'It's here!'
"I'm activating the Spell card Monster Reborn to bring back a monster from either graveyard! Come on back! Red Rising Dragon!"
Her blazing dragon returns, hotter than before.

"Now I'll Normal Summon Chain Resonator!"
Yang summons a Resonator with a tuning fork and chains on its back.

"When Chain Resonator is Normal Summoned while a Synchro Monster's on the field, I can Special Summon another Resonator from my deck! Come on out! Synkron Resonator!"
Yang summons a Resonator that has two metal platings of irregular shape on its back.

"I'll now tune level 1 Synkron Resonator with level 6 Red Rising Dragon!"
The two monsters turn into a singular green ring and six motes of light respectively. "Hello there, my enemy! My punching spree echoes the ruler's shouts and shatters the very earth with the hammer of victory! Synchro Summon! Blow them up! Level 7: Exploder Dragonwing!"
A gargoyle-like black dragon appears, a massive bile sac swinging behind its throat as it roars.

"I know it's a good play to attack your Sunlight Wolf, but I can't risk being the catalyst of some catastrophic event taking place in this part of the world. So, instead, I'll just have my Exploder Dragonwing attack Salamangreat Blaze Dragon then activate my monster's effect! Once per turn, when this card battles an opponent's monster that has Attack Points lower or equal to my dragon, I can destroy that monster at the start of the Damage Step! And if I do, you take damage equal to that monster's Attack Points!"
"I'm activating Blaze Dragon's effect! By detaching an Overlay Unit, I negate its destruction from your dragon's effect!"
"True, but Exploder Dragonwing's Attack Points are still higher! That means your dragon's gone either way!"
Dragonwing's flames consume Blaze Dragon, damaging Natsu slightly.

The two monsters soar, turning into the materials used for Synchro Summoning. "Stare into the eyes of raging fire! I burn and ignite the ruler's heartbeat that will light the heaven's themselves! SYNCHRO SUMMON! My red hot soul! Level 8: HOT RED DRAGON ARCHFIEND!"
The same dragon that Yang had in the opening song appears by her side.

"Gh…!" Ryuko winced in the audience as her mark glowed, forcing her to cover it as much as she could.
"Ryuko! Are you okay?" Izuku asked her.
"Heh… Nothing to worry about~" Ryuko assured. "I just didn't expect my mark to react to her dragon…"
"That raises some questions, doesn't it…?" Izuku hummed.
"Yeah… I'll have to ask her about it sometime." Ryuko grunted.
"With that, I'll end my turn!"
"I'm activating my third and final trap: Salamangreat Revive!" Natsu exclaimed, showing a trap with the image of a Salamangreat monster being revived. "This allows me to Special Summon a FIRE Effect monster from my graveyard! Come on back, Salamangreat Zebroid X!"
Natsu summons his zebra back from the grave.

End Song and Cue: Dragon Force (Fairy Tail)
"My turn! Draw! Open up! Circuit that guides my dreams! Summoning conditions are two or more FIRE Effect Monsters! By treating my Sunlight Wolf as two materials, I send both it and my Zebroid X to the Link Markers!"
Sunlight Wolf separates into two vortexes while Zebroid X turns into just a normal vortex before the three vortexes spiral into the top, bottom left, and bottom right Link Markers. "Link Summon! Appear! Link 3: Salamangreat Heatleo!"
Natsu summons his ace monster, Salamangreat Heatleo.

"That all you got?" Yang taunted.
"Not even close. I haven't even Reincarnation Link Summoned yet~" Natsu denied. "I'll go ahead and do that right now with the effect of Salamangreat Sanctuary!"
Heatleo turns into a vortex that spirals into a pink and white portal which emits a geyser of flames. "The sun and moon join in celebration! Go forward, more and more! Don't give up! REINCARNATION LINK SUMMON! Show your heated soul! Link 3: SALAMANGREAT HEATLEO!"
Heatleo returns with more flames on its mane than before.

"Okay, I'll bite. What does it do?" Yang asked.
"Well, with each Link Summon and Reincarnation Link Summon, my Heatleos return a Spell or Trap that you control to your hand. Of course, since you don't have any, this effect can't activate." Natsu explained.
"You still haven't explained what Heatleo does when Reincarnation Link Summoned." Yang pointed out.
"Sooo glad you asked that~" Natsu smirked. "While Heatleo is Reincarnation Link Summoned and on the field, I can target one monster on your side of the field and one Salamangreat monster in my graveyard. That monster you control has its Attack Points equal to that of the Salamangreat monster's! The weakest one I've got is, let's see… Ah! Salamangreat Foxy! That means your dragon's Attack Points become 1000! Flame Possession!"
HRDA ATK: 3000 → 1000
"What!? W-Well, I've still got one more turn to TURN things around~! I'm sure I'll-"
"Sorry, Yang, but with this next card, there IS no next turn~" Natsu interrupted before revealing a Spell with the image of Heatleo equipped with a powerful claw. "I'm activating the Equip Spell Salamangreat Claw and equipping it to Heatleo! While a Salamangreat monster is equipped with this card, the equipped monster can't be destroyed in battle and it deals piercing battle damage. Not only that, but if the equipped monster is a Salamangreat Link Monster that was Reincarnation Link Summoned, it can make a number of attacks equal to its Link Rating during each Battle Phase!"
"Oh. G-Good for you. …Holy crap…" Yang dreaded.
"Thanks for this duel, Yang. I've been eating this up~! Unfortunately for you, I've got a fire in my belly that's raging to GET OUT!" Natsu yelled, pounding his fists against each other as a red-orange glyph appeared for a brief moment. Yang could also swear that she saw the image of a red dragon looming behind Natsu and roaring at her. "Salamangreat Heatleo attacks your Hot Red Dragon Archfiend!"
Heatleo charges at the dragon and cuts it down with its claws.
ATK DIFFERENCE: 2300 - 1000 = 1300
YANG LP: 3500 - 1300 = 2200
"And now Heatleo! End this with a direct attack! HEAT SOUL!" Natsu yelled at the top of his lungs as Heatleo spirals into Yang surrounded by flames, making her raise her arms up to defend herself before screaming in defeat and getting blown away and into the walls of the barrier.
YANG LP: 2200 → 0
WINNER: NATSU DRAGNEEL

The students of Natsu's school cheer for him while the students of Beacon just look dumbfounded. Glynda simply clapped for him.
"Ugh… Dang it…" Yang grumbled before seeing Natsu's hand in front of her, Natsu smiling. Yang smiles back and lets him pull her up.
"Very well done, Mr. Dragneel. You weren't the first person to defeat Ms. Xiao Long, but it seemed to me that you had the easier time between you and Ms. Nikos." Glynda complimented.
"Ah, well, I'm sure Yang'll catch up to me sometime." Natsu shrugged.
"Perhaps." Glynda hummed. "However, you still have a lot to learn when it comes to holding back."
"Huh?" Natsu huffed in confusion. "Shouldn't I be not doing that?"
"Against Grimm, yes. However, you might end up hurting someone you didn't mean to." Glynda scolded. "Know how to hold back next time, all right?"
"Y-Yes, Ms. Goodwitch." Natsu nodded.
"As for you, Ms. Xiao Long… It seems that you probably should have summoned Exploder Dragonwing sooner." Glynda said.
"Probably, now that I think about it…" Yang sighed. "I was kinda trying to summon another Resonator to do that, but… well…"
"Next time, try to use Exploder Dragonwing to start with when using that combo at the start of your turn." Glynda advised.
"Yes, Ms. Goodwitch…" Yang grunted.
DING DONG BING BONG
"And with that, I believe Duel Class is dismissed." Glynda declared before the students all left the class. As they do, Ryuko encounters Yang.
"Yo. Yang. Got a sec?" Ryuko asked her.
"Huh? What's up, uh… Ryuko, right?" Yang asked back. Ryuko reveals her mark to her. "...Wait a minute…"
"Yeah. I'm thinking there's two of each Marks of the Crimson Dragon…" Ryuko nodded.
"Why is that?"
"Dunno. Whatever's giving us these marks is probably insane to give me two of them."
"Wait, you have two!?"
"Yeah." Ryuko said, revealing her other mark.
"What the heck…?" Yang let out in shock.
"I dunno why I've got two marks, but… maybe the first one will go away… once I give you this." Ryuko replied, giving Yang Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss.
"Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss…?" Yang read before seeing Ryuko's mark of the Crimson Dragon's Wings disappear. "Your mark!"
"It's gone…? Cool. Maybe now I won't have to feel pain on this arm every time a monster with Red Dragon Archfiend in its name is summoned…" Ryuko chuckled.
"Well… Thanks for the card, Ryuko. I'll keep it safe." Yang promised.
"Yeah. I know you will."
