"I don't think I'll ever get used to this apartment." Ash admitted, looking at the penthouse-like place he had all for himself and Pikachu. "How about it buddy, ready to get back out there and face someone new?"

"Pi!" Pikachu cheered from a pathway designed for smaller Pokemon, before hopping down to his trainer.

Ash and Pikachu looked out at the amusement park that Scott had doubled as a massive battle competition, regular patrons and trainers scattered all about, the duo still drew a crowd with their recent battles, but hopefully that would die down eventually.

Back at the Ferris Wheel

"Seems like word has spread that I've been taking this on right now." Ash admitted seeing the large crowd gathered. "Well let's get up there and find our challenger."

At the arena

"Alright trainers, we all know the rules, so how about you two step up and show yourselves to each other." The Scott recording said.

Ash and Pikachu walked up to see yet another face they hadn't seen in years.

"It has been a long time Ash." Drake said walking up. "Hard to believe you're the same kid who took on my Orange Crew all those years ago. Just know I don't plan on loosing again."

"Yeah, you and everyone else here." Ash said with a chuckle. "Pikachu, Snorlax, come on out!"

"Venusaur, Onix, let's go!" Drake called out.

Three of the four Pokemon slammed onto the ground with large thuds as Pikachu simply leapt off of Ash's shoulder, landing next to Snorlax.

"Pikachu use Iron Tail! Snorlax use Belly Drum!"

"Venusaur use Seed Bomb! Onix use Iron Tail!"

Pikachu and Onix slammed their tails against one another, the small Pokemon managing to hold off against the larger rock snake, while Snorlax slammed his fists against his gut as Venusaur launched his attack at him.

"Pikachu use Iron Tail! Snorlax use Ice Punch!"

"Onix use Dragon Breath! Venusaur use Double Edge!"

Snorlax rushed forward, slamming his fist into Venusaur's head, solidifying the grass type in a block of ice and Pikachu knocked Onix's head upwards, deflecting the attack.

"Oh and that is a Frozen Pokemon, your choice on what to do!" The Scott recording declared.

"Not a knockout, but for now, Venusaur return, come on out Gengar! Use Hypnosis! Onix use Rock Slide!"

"Pikachu use Quick Attack! Snorlax use Rest!"

Pikachu dodged the falling rocks as Snorlax fell asleep by his own will before Gengar could force it themselves.

"Gengar use Dream Eater! Onix use Dragon Breath!"

"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"

Pikachu sent out a bolt of electricity, even with his speed however, it wasn't enough to cover the distance before Snorlax was knocked out of his sleeping state by the attacks.

"Snorlax use Ice Punch! Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"

"Onix use Bide! Gengar use Hypnosis!"

Snorlax slammed his fist into Onix, knocking out the rock snake as Pikachu was put to sleep by Gengar.

"Great work Onix, take a long rest." Drake said. "Now come on out for your rematch Dragonite!"

"Take a break guys." Ash said, picking up Pikachu and recalling Snorlax. I did not think that this would be the team up for these guys. Dragonite, Gengar, let's go!" Ash called out, mimicking his opponent's side of the field.

"Dragonite use Dragon Claw! Gengar use Shadow Ball!" Ash commanded.

"Dragonite use Outrage! Gengar use Psychic!" Drake called out.

Ash's Dragonite rushed forward, hugging Drake's rampaging Dragonite as the two fell towards the ground while the Gengar's floated around, firing attacks at each other.

"Dragonite use Extremespeed! Gengar use Psychic!" Ash called out.

"Dragonite use Body Slam! Gengar use Hypnosis!"

The two Dragonite slammed into each other with tremendous amounts of force, pushing against each other as Ash's Gengar blasted Drake's Gengar backwards, narrowly avoiding the Hypnosis attacks.

"Dragonite use Hurricane! Gengar use Sludge Wave!" Ash called out.

Dragonite's attacks brought the two Pokémon together, slamming against each other and Gengar's attack overwhelmed the two, knocking them both out.

"Congratulations Ash, you've come a long way since our first match." Drake said with a smirk. "I'm just glad I was able to say I was your first major step on the path to greatness."

"It was fun battling you again after all this time." Ash said with a smirk.

Drake, the top trainer of the Orange Crew, not the Dragon type trainer of the Hoenn Elite Four. He was the opponent for Ash's first full battle on top of a ton of fun stuff about his team. All four Pokémon he used are Pokémon he used in their first battle, as well as an Electabuzz that knew all four damaging electric type moves in gen 1 and a Ditto. I Let Snorlax have this battle as he was left off the battle because he slept until he fell asleep and had to be switched for a Tauros for the first time.
