"They have to all go under the truth serum especially Alan , Sam and max . Three of them are the leader." Jack kang says coldly
I look at him. I was working for him as a temporary ambassador before the attack begin. Now all of dauntless becomes suspect of murders. I knew that Alan wasn't joining them because he is also divergent and so do me .
"However I am also dauntless Jack. Please don't forget that. Just because I stayed with you all the time , that doesn't mean that I am not dauntless."I say arrogantly.
"Delia that's okay." Alan shakes his head at me. "That is exactly the purpose why I wanted you to return to Candor headquarter because they could protect you from the attack."
Alan looks tired . He has lighter skin tone but without hair . He has brown eyebrows and eyes . Also the beard around his chin are all dark brown. He has stripped tattoos on his neck and hands so that means he is one of the leader in dauntless .
"So who is going first." Jack kang claps his hand
"Me ." Alan raises up his hand
He is smiling at me to tell me that he will be fine . Jack kang takes out a syringe . It is the truth serum
"I will do it Jack" I stretch out my hand

He hands the serum to me and I walk toward Alan. I inject him with the serum carefully. His body shivers and it goes in effect very quickly

Alan nods his head . He closes his eyes and slowly reopened it.
"So what is your full name ." Jack kang folds his arms in front of his chest.
"Alan Davis ." Alan answers without difficulty.
"So which faction did you born and which faction did you choose." Jack kang walks back and forth behind me
I feel frustrated . Why is he always so calm even the situation isn't.
"I was born in Candor but transferred to dauntless." Alan exhales and inhale deeply.
"So next question is about your loyalty to dauntless. Why did you transferred ." Jack snorts
I know the reason but that is a secret. Alan starts to fight the serum but I know that he is in too much pain right now .
"I was hiding from my father . He was physically abusing me so I chose to leave ." He cries

He of course knows it. He was planning to join it before I chose dauntless .
"Why didn't you leave if you knew it." Jack says
"I couldn't because i met her . I fall in love with Delia . I can't leave her there when I knew that she is divergent and I have to protect her ." Alan cries
My eyes goes wet and red . I am crying too. He stayed there just for me . He loves me so much

Alan walks toward me . The serum seems faded already . He holds me into his arms

Edward goes toward him and inserts needle pretty hard
"Don't put all in Edward . He can't take that much." I shake my head
"He is the best initiate in dauntless so what?" Edward smirks

Tris and Maria both seemed worry. Four is sweating right now
"So what is your real name four ." Jack kang coughs.
"Tobias Eaton." He says it calmly.
"Which faction did you born and which did you choose ." Jack repeats the question
Four stiffens . I know that he doesn't want people to discuss that.
"It is obvious that I came from abnegation but chose dauntless anyway." Four lowers his head
"Why did you choose to leave abnegation. For exactly what purpose ." Jack says
"It is like Alan . I was physically abused by my father so I want to get away." Four clinches his fist
Jack is silent for a second . I know exactly what question does he wants to ask
"Do you know the attack on divergent?"I ask

He goes back beside the tris . Sam and tris are next . Sam has the same answer as Alan and four . He falls for my sister Maria who joined dauntless four years later than me .
"Max !" Evelyn screams
I know that max is guilty but I will not let Evelyn to kill him because Sasha is pregnant .
"You don't have right to execute anyone belong to us ." I walk closer to Evelyn
"Why'? The faction system is already disbanded ." Evelyn raises her eyebrows at me

When I was 15, I was forced to send into Chicago to watch the experiment going ." I say. "What do you think that you have authority to execute dauntless leader ?"

"I wander why Eric didn't kill you ." Evelyn says
"Do you want to know the reason? Because mafia boss in dauntless over in Detroit is named Jack coulter. Eric isn't allowed to touch me even a little ." I laugh. "Jason please escorts max back to our dauntless compound not Detroit ."
I nod at Jason . Jason grabs max and yanks him with him. Evelyn wants to throw herself at me but Alan stops her
"You don't dare touch her one more time or I will not even considered the fact that you are four's mom." Alan says with gritted teeth.
"You bitch ." Evelyn shouts
I and Alan walk out of the Factionless headquarter and tris follow .
"So I think that we have to leave Chicago sooner ." I sigh
"Where can we go?" Maria is worried
"We can go to Detroit. Joshua sent me a message already said that we can go there if we need to." I shrug
Alan holds me tighter . I know that he is jealous again. I kiss his chin. I know that his father made him very lack of security .
"Alan , that will be fine . I and Joshua are just partner . "i kiss him
"I know but I don't feel right about it." Alan shakes his head
We jump on the train. Four is looking outside instead looking at tris
"Are you okay?" Alan walks toward four . "What are you thinking though?"
"I am thinking about something." Four scoffs. "What kind of city the Detroit is ."
"It is same as here . We are all experiment for Illinois ." I clinch my teeth. "This is the secret which only known by my mom."
We finally arrive in the compound . Jason and max are sitting on the rock
"Who is responsible here?" Jason raises his eye brows

Max's eyes light up. Alan is shocked because Sasha is his sister

Jason stands beside me . He looks at my injured shoulder

I stop him. Jason is always over protective of me when he found me alive
