The Owl Sisters I: Sisters in Demon World Chapter 3-The Teenage Abomination
Another day opportunity to explore the Boiling Isles. The sun shined brightly over the horizon as Eda and King took the twins to the beach.
"Well, Luz, Lana. Did you ever think you'd see something as breath taking as this?" She nudged both of them as they were looking at… a giant slug laying in garbage, with boils on its back.
"I… don't like this," Luz tried not to throw up.
"The view is nice, but this reeks so bad I'm trying not to barf," Lana pinched her nose.
"Yes it doesn't get much more inspiring than the trash slug. It makes a home a life form what others have thrown by the wayside. Until boom! it gets blasted by a wave one day and croaks from the salt. And then we get to sell the stuff it ate."
Eda shows them two pickaxes but Lana slowly pushes both away.
"Please don't make me.."
"Hard pass. As much I want to look for treasure, I'm not digging through anything that is dead," Lana shivered.
"Aw come on," King walked off and laid a beach towel. "It's every day to go to the dump and pick apart a garbage carcass."
"Dude, no one, would ever look forward to doing it in the Human Realm," Lana replied.
"Nuts to both of you," Eda swung the pickaxe.
"So, Eda…What if we tried some new lessons for the apprenticeships?" Luz asked.
"Like training me into using Dragon Threat?" Lana asked.
"Dragon Threat?" Eda asked.
"It's the name of the trident that I got," Lana showed them while Luz gasped.
"Where did you get that?" Luz asked her.
"Celestia showed me after the Adegast fiasco. I was able to walk through a barrier and wield it with ease. As for the name, this thing can slice through a dragon's hide."
"Love the name," Eda liked it as she dug through the trash. "Anyway you were saying?"
"As Luz said, we haven't learned anything in the magical department. Like reading scrolls, mixing potions, or even tampering with the dark arts," Lana explained.
"Ugh!" Eda tossed out an old telephone. "That sounds a lot like magic school crap."
"Wait, hold the phone Owl Lady, Magic School?" Lana asked.
"Like cute uniforms, dark plots that threaten your life, kind of like a magic school," Luz wondered.
"Yep, but what's worse is that you have learned the proper way," Eda sticks her tongue out in disgust."
"Not a fan?" Lana asked her.
"Magic isn't proper! It's wild and unpredictable. And that's why it's so beautiful. I didn't finish school, look at me! Who wouldn't envy where I am right now?"
"I can answer in one word, Everyone. Or two words, Literally everyone. Or 24, No one in their fricking minds human, witch, demon or otherwise would want to be digging through a giant trash slug corpse for garbage!" Lana explained.
"How did you count so…? Screw it! What are you trying to say?"
"I'll be blunt, you didn't like how school was teaching you magic, so you dropped out. Now here you are, one half of the most powerful witches on the Boiling Isles, living life on the run digging through the remains of a dead monster, just to find things to sell to make ends meet.? Yeah, great life, Owl Lady!" Lana got sarcastic with her.
"When you put it like that, it does sound bad… Um, here's a lesson: A great witch is always resourceful, like this," Eda forced Luz in a puddle of trash slug bile until she pulled out a slimeball.
"Hooray, Greasy slimeball," Luz stated in disappointment.
"Use it well, young witch. Back at it! We'll strike the stink nodes first."
"Actually, if it's okay I think we'll head home and look at pictures of animals that are alive. Love you, King." She bent down and rubbed his tummy, causing him to giggle.
"Catch you later, fuzzball," Lana and King fist-bumped each other then two left.

"Ugh!" Lana grumbled as Luz looked at the slimeball. "Remind me again why do we put up with her? It's been 5 freakin' days! And neither of us have learned a single thing about magic."
"I know what you mean, hermana. If magic's all about digging for slimeballs, maybe I don't have the stomach for this," Luz said then suddenly they heard a voice that belonged to neither of them.
"Mysterious voice of encouragement?" Luz asked.
"Look it came from over there," Lana pointed and they went over a bush.
They look through the bushes and a girl with pale skin, glasses and a pink bodysuit doing floral magic.
"A little witch girl! Aside from the pointy ears, she looks more human than the demons I've met so far," Luz said.
"I'll say, I haven't seen an outfit like that," Lana exclaimed as the two watched in secret as the girl did a spell circle that made a flower come to bloom. "Neato! Plant Magic!"
"Amazing!"
Then another girl wore the exact thing as the first girl but she had green hair with a brown patch in a ponytail and approached her.
"Willow! You're unnoticeable, I almost rolled into you."
"Hi, Amity."
"Uh, shouldn't you get to class early to prepare for your…" Then Willow's Wheelbarrow shook a little, and it fell over. A pile of purple sludge fell from it, along with an eye. "You don't have anything to show to do you?"
"Witch Drama!" Luz whispered to Lana.
"First impression, she's a jackass," Lana whispers to Luz.
"This is why people called you Half-a-Witch Willow," Amity said then snapped her fingers. "Abomination, rise!"
A purple creature made of pure sludge bent to Willow and drew a star on her forehead.
"Aw it's like mine. But much smaller and meaningless. As a top student, it's my duty to tell you to keep at it. You can get a passing grade."
Lana was angered with what she was witnessing and gritted her teeth. It made her sick that Amity was belittling Willow like this. It reminds her that she was picked on by bullies at her school.
"Abomination, cower," The abomination went back into the cauldron, and she closed it off with a lid. "See you class, superstar."
Willow frowned and removed her hood as Amity left with a smile on her face. Luz stuck her tongue out while Lana glared at her.
"No buena, egocéntrica, alta caballo, idiota," Lana said under her breath.
"Oh, see you in class, superstar," Willow mocked as she removed the mark. "I hate when she does that. I hate making abominations. I hate getting bad grades! I can't stand it!"
She then snapped and let out a shout of rage then her eyes glowed green which made the two gasped and the dead flower sprouted into several vines. Two reached over and the twins by the legs.
"Holy flowers!" Lana exclaimed as they dragged up into the sky and then fell behind her. They looked up and Willow turned to see them.
Timeskip. At the Owl House, King and Eda were getting into an argument then Celestia came and heard both sides of the story. Then King made a bet with Eda that he could tame a baby trash slug and that Luz and Lana decides to get magic teaching from somewhere Eda has to wear to cap of shame for a week but neither happens, Eda calls him Mr. Wiggles.
Lana and Luz continued to stare at Willow as roots came around her. She finally came out of it and realized and let the roots fall.
"Oh, my goodness I'm so sorry!" Willow said then released the vines.
"It's okay," Luz held her leg. "The thorns only went through a few layers of skin."
"Yeah, I've been through worse," Lana added.
Willow got a close look at them and noticed their ears. "So… round."
Luz brought her hood up and Lana got her scarf on her face and it didn't take long for Willow to realize that she meant humans.
"You're both humans! This is amazing!" She grabbed both by the faces to examine. "Humans on the Boiling Isles! How'd you get here? What are you doing here?"
The bell rang from feet away and she froze. "I'm sorry, I can't stay. I have to disappoint my teacher. It was nice to meet you, humans.
She walks away feeling somewhat dejected and there is something about her that made them want to help.
"Wait!" Luz stopped her. "I'm Luz and this is my twin sister, Lana. And you're Willow, right?"
"What you did with the flowers and plants, it was… I mean… Holy freaking balls, that was amazing!" Lana expressed.
"Thanks, but I'm not supposed to do plant magic. My parents put me in the abomination track at School."
"School?! As in Magic School!?" Luz asked as she squealed then Willow nodded. "That is so cool! I'm so jealous! Both of us have teachers, but most of their lessons are untraditional."
"Some being downright gross," Lana gagged.
"Also that. But… I wish I could spend one day there."
"You wish, I will do absolutely anything."
"I wish I could get a passing grade for once. Then people would stop calling me Half-a-Witch Willow.'"
"I saw talking with that punk earlier. Her name was Amity, right? Complete jack-ass."
"What?"
"I was insulting her."
"Oh."
Then Luz had a grin on her face. Whenever Luz gets an idea in her head it usually has a bad result at the end.
"I have an idea to get what we all want. Make us your abominations!" Luz said. "We can get you a good grade and you can get us into magic school."
"Now that is chaotic good thing," Lana likes it, giving impulse to half-thought ideas.
"What!?"
"We saw the other girls' abomination. It's just chunks of stuff that talks weird. We're chunks of stuff and we talk way better! With us as the Abomination you get a top grade," Lana reasoned.
"That's true."
"And will give you a chance to rub in her face and we learn actual magic. Total win-win."
"It's a deal," Willow agreed to the three shakes on it.
…
…
"Welcome to Hexside School of Magic and Demonics," Willow said to the two as they were in the abomination pot both were amazement at the sight. Remember to stay hidden okay? If anyone sees you'll get confiscated to the Horrors and Found.`
Willow walked to her locker then tickled it to open and grabbed her book then came across two more students one was a girl and the other was a boy. Their sleeves and leggings were different from Willow or Amity. The girl had red while the boy had light blue. And the boy was reading about humans from Tween Boss magazine.
"Willow, you would not believe humans."
"Humans? Pfft. I haven't seen any. What?"
"Did you know that humans nail barbed wire to their kids' teeth? But why? Maybe they make them magnetic."
"Truth be told, it's for straightening the teeth, nerd boy," Lana exclaimed from the pot.
"Willow, did you cauldron just talk?"
"Okay, Augustus, Sunset. I'm gonna tell you something. But you have to be cool."
"Trust me sister, my lips are sealed."
"I can do that."
"Abominations rises!" Willow ordered and Luz and Lana came out.
"Ta-da! I'm an abomination!"
"I'm your doom!"
"Guys, that's now how abominations act," Willow scolded then Augustus and Sunset couldn't believe what they were seeing.
"No, it can't be?"
"They are actually humans in the school!"
"He's the president of the Human Appreciation Society. Most witches wouldn't be able to recognize a human right but he's an expert."
"Where are the gills?"
"We don't have gills," Lana corrected him. "And another thing is I knew an Augstus back in the human world. We called him Gus for short."
"Gus? Nickname? Human nickname? I loved it."
"Now I think of it, the nickname works," Sunset agreed just as the bell rang or literally screamed signaling for class.
"I've gotta to go spelling class. See you guys at Lunch!" Gus left.
"Weapons class, bye!" Sunset went the other way.
"Alright you two into the darkness you go," Willow closed the cauldron and to her class.
…
…
At the Owl House…
Both Eda and Celestia were watching King trying to tame the slug but it's not going so well.
"I got this in the bag," Eda smirked and drank apple blood from her mug.
"Uh, Eda it has been a while since I saw Luz or Lana, what happened to them?" Celestia asked.
"Come to think of it. They haven't come back since King and I left the beach. Where are they?" Eda noticed as well.
Back Hexside, in Abomination 101, the teacher was not impressed with the students' abominations projects.
"I swear, you guys can't make a well constructed abomination if your life depends on it," The teacher groaned. "Take goodness that Amity is the best of making an abomination. Who's next? About you, Willow?"
"Not a Half-A-Witch?" Most of them groaned.
Willow hides her cowl in fear, prompting Lana to pop up.
"Don't listen to them, Willow. We can do this," Lana gave her a thumbs up.
Willow took a deep breath as she headed to the front to present.
"Abominations, rise!"
Lana pouches the lid open and both twins come out and do a pose.
"Ta-da!" Both of them said, making everyone gasp, even Amity.
"Inserting, two abominations," The teacher was surprised.
"Abominations, bow!"
Both of them bowed, trying to be as weird as possible.
"Impressive? What else can it do?"
Lana improvises and does a break dance and Luz does a slow-mo dance making the teacher even more impressed.
"Remarkable! They can dance! But do one of them speak?"
"Uh. I may be your abomination but you're my a-mom-ination," Luz held Willow's hand.
"A-mom-ination! Splendid word play!" He exclaimed in laughter. "A+! No extra homework for the entire semester!"
The students cheered knowing they didn't have to do extra homework but Amity couldn't believe that Willow's abomination had improved but was able to make two of them.
As the bell screamed for the next period as students were at their lockers, Amity was talking to someone, the person was the same height as her and with the same clothing but she had cat ears and , with neck-length silver hair styled into a trendy bob cut and had red and blue gem on her chest.
"I don't understand Mio, when I saw her, her abomination was mush," Amity explained with anger. "Mush! There's no way she can make it better in time!
"Maybe, she took your pep talk as a sign of Motivation," Mio Blight, her sister suggested.
"I bet she did, I'm keeping my eyes on her," Amity growled.
Around the corner, Willow eavesdropped, being somewhat worried.
"I think she's onto us," Willow gulped.
"Don't mind her, she's just plain jealous," Luz told her.
"Who cares. We just need to be careful around her and make it to the end of the day then we're home free," Lana said.
Back at the Owl House…
Eda paced herself back and forth being worried for the twins as they had been gone for hours then Celestia came back to find them.
"Did you find them?" Eda asked.
"I did, but where they are you're going to like it a lot," Celestia said.
"What place is going to make my bones shiver," Eda said.
"They're at Hexside," Celestia told her, which much to Eda's horror was the last thing she wanted to hear.
"NOOO!"
…
At the Hexside cafeteria where the twins were still in the pot as Willow, Gus and Sunset were eating.
"Quick question, do humans like PB&J sandwiches?" Gus asked.
"Hell yeah, it's been a long time since I had any good food," Lana said as she took half of it. "BTW I'm more crunchy than a smooth one."
"Noted," Gus said as he literally took notes.
The nice moment didn't last long then out of nowhere as Amity literally jumped on the table as she was able to bust them.
"I saw that! Abominations can't eat!" Amity shouted as she looked in the cauldron. "I know you're in there, you can't hide from me!"
Mio was seating on the other side of the lunch room, cringing that her sister had completely lost it just as she grabbed Luz by the hoodie, lifting her up.
"What are you? Who are you? I want answers!"
Amity shakes him violently but Luz continues to act like a mindless zombie.
"Amity Blight!"
"Huh?"
"I suspected a hint of jealousy but this is just sad," The Abomination Teacher scolded her.
"But I-No! Look at it."
Luz groaned while still playing possum.
"Report to Principal Bump's office."
"But.."
"Now!"
Amity drops her and leaves in a huff.
"Talk about a close one," Lana exclaimed as they almost got busted.
Timeskip. At the Owl House, King found out that the twins had found a better place to win which made him the winner and made her put on the hat of shame. Celestia asked him if he actually tamed Prince Jr? King replied that he did along he gets a treat out of it but to his horror he was out of treats.
…
…
"We dodged the prick!" Lana exclaimed as she Luz were about to get out until the classroom door opened to see Amity, her sister, Mio with the green hair Blight grinning then both of them step aside to someone to enter the room. His very presence made the entire room's atmosphere intense.
"Afternoon, students.
"Principal Bump," Willow gulped as Lana fell to his knees and Luz ducked into the cauldron.
Bump bent down to inspect her, grabbing her face.
"Abomination, rise," Bump said.
Lana stood up.
"Abomination, lie."
Lana moves to a table and lies down.
"So very lifelike, When Amity told me about the abominations, I had to come by, to see what they're made of."
"I have the ingredients…"
"No need, we were hoping for a closer look," Bump gave her a dagger which made Lana gulp. "You have the honor of doing the first cut."
"Time to bail!" Lana thoughted,
Sunset did a spell circle that made a blast of flames causing everyone to duck.
"Guys, run!" Gus said.
Lana grabbed both Willow and Luz and headed out.
"They're getting away!" Amity shouted.
"They won't get far." Bump did a spell circle as the three teens ran through the halls.
"Willow, I'm so sorry! This is all my fault!" Luz groaned.
"It's also my fault, for agreeing with it and instead all three of us are screwed!" Lana admitted.
The three came to stop as a red force field blocked the exit.
"Shit!" Lana banged on it then saw Bump and three abominations. "Luz, Willow! Get behind me!"
Luz and Willow got behind her then Lana brought her Dragon Threat. The trident itself surge with purple electricity.
"Lana, wait!" Willow reached out to her.
With a battle cry, she slices all three of them with a quick slash making them puddles.
"Wow!"
"That's my sister!" Luz said as the abomination became solid again.
"Son of a bitch, seriously?!" Lana exclaimed.
"What are we going to do? Maybe Amity was right."
"That's a load of bull, don't listen to prick. You're amazing, Willow. You just to dig deep and use the magic that you wanna use. Don't thin about what anyone else want think what you want."
"And someone told me that great witches are resourceful," Luz said to her then Lana had an idea.
"Willow, I'm going to need some plants."
"But I don't have anything to use.'
"Could this help," Luz reached into her pocket and pulled the slimeball out.
"Yes!" Willow smiled and took it. "Thank goddess you had it on you."
"Yeah, completely convenient!" Lana continued to fight the abominations.
Willow puts the seed in her lap and traces a spell circle over it, sprinkling with magic and giant vines grew throughout the school taking out the abominations as the vines pierced through the bodies. The vines grabbed the Blight sisters by their legs and slammed into a wall then fling Bump into the ceiling.
"Remarkable," Bump was stunned as Willow could do powerful plant magic then he collapsed making the red barrier disappear.
"Sweet the exit, let's bail!" Lana said.
"Not so fast!"
Amity got in front of them and blocked the exit.
"What the hell!? You almost got me dissected by that maniac all for a stupid badge!"
"I don't care! I want my badge!"
"You want it so bad?!"
Lana yanks off Willow's cowl and crushed it with her feet.
"Whoops! I'm sure they will make another one!"
Amity snapped and lunged at Lana prepping to hurt her but Lana used the endpoint of her trident to hit Amity at her gut making flinch Lana follow it with a punch to her face that makes Amity scream in pain and she falls on her back.
"You jerk!" Amity holds her black eye.
"You had it coming!" Lana shot back.
"Great you two get out of here!" Willow said.
"Not without you!" Luz told her.
"I may get detention, but both of you get dissected," Willow had two vines carry the twins out of there and closed the doors shut.
"Willow! We can't save her, but we know someone who can!" Luz said to Lana and the two head back to the Owl House as fast as they can.
At the Owl House, Celestia and Eda fought off the Prince Jr. The beast spits lava but Celestia did a ice wall canceling each other out then King who was on the roof rolled down a barrel of salt into its mouth reverting it to the normal side that slither away.
"Yes! I'm amazing!" King slid down and landed on two feet. "You are a good teacher."
"I wish the twins thought that too," Eda said.
"I have a feeling that they will," Celestia said to her and to their surprise both Luz and Lana arrived as Luz hugged Eda.
"What the heck!?" Eda exclaimed. "I never understand when you do this."
"What happened to you?" Celestia asked.
"Long story short, your lesson work, keeping that slimeball actually saved our lives! But we need your help! Our new friends are in trouble. We have to go help them," Luz explained/
"Luz! Lana!"
The two turned to get hugged by Willow, Gus and Sunset.
"You guys are okay," Luz sighed in relief.
"More than okay! Principal Bump moved me to the Plant Track after he was impress with my work," Willow said as she had green sleeves instead of pink.
"What happened to Amity?" Lana asked.
"Last I checked, she walks Bump if today could count as extra credit," Sunset said, "Once you guys left I kicked her in the balls."
"Nice one!" Luz high-five her.
"But… bad news is that both of you are banned from Hexside," Gus said.
"Hell yeah! That's my girls!" Eda smiled.
"Screw that school," Lana shrugged. "Who needs a magic school when me and Luz have good teachers already."
"That's right. Back off academy dorks!" Eda fist pumped. "Looks like I taught you something good."
"Uh, you high five with your hands, not your head," Gus corrected them which made everyone confused.
"Gus, my dude," Lana said to you. "I have a lot of things to teach you about human expressions. Hope you are ready to take notes."
"I'm ready!" Gus took out his notepad.
