Chapter 12: Flying with Rouge
Xana was watching her older brothers having a practice duel. "You won't be so lucky this time, Eli." Harley said, slinging Sizzle. But Eli leapt into the air, dodging the Grenuke slug as he exploded. He then slung Burpy, activating his Flight Mode. As Eli hopped onto his slug partner's back, together, they fired a combo attack of Burpy's Flashfire and Eli's Aether beam. Harley quickly blocked the combo with a Nether shield, but was knocked down. Xana was in awe as she watched Eli flew on Burpy before they touched back down to the ground.
Harley groaned as he recovered. "You okay, Harley?" Eli asked as he helped his brother to his feet. "Yeah, I'm good." Harley said. "Let's take a break, bro. The gang could use some help setting up the picnic area." Eli said. "Good call, Eli." Harley said. As they walked away, Xana turned to see that Eli forgot his blaster as he helped Harley. She crawled over to it and picked it up, cooing at how awesome it looked. Just then, Rouge hopped onto her shoulder. They looked at each other and just thought of the same bad idea. Seeing how the gang have done it numerous times, Xana unloaded the blaster's barrel and held it out to Rouge, who hopped right into it. Xana reloaded the barrel, raised the blaster into the air and slung Rouge. Junjie, Yu Jie and the Fuurins, who were right nearby, heard the slug fire. "That was…an Infurnus slug." Junjie said. They rushed over and saw Rouge fly the air…with Xana on her back! "We have to tell the others!" Yu Jie exclaimed with worry.
As the gang were setting up the picnic area, Junjie, Yu Jie and the Fuurins ran over. "What's wrong, guys?" Trixie asked. "Xana's flying on Rouge!" Satoshi exclaimed. Eli realized something as he felt around for his blaster, noticing that it was gone. "I left my blaster behind!" He cried. The gang hurried over to where Eli left his blaster and saw it on the ground. "We're going after her!" He exclaimed as he picked up his blaster, loaded Burpy and slung him into the air while Harley, Junjie and Yu Jie slung Hestia, Joo-Joo and Towa. The 4 Infurnuses activated their Flight Mode, picked up their slingers and took off after Xana and Rouge.
Meanwhile, as she and Rouge flew the air, Xana was laughing as she was having fun. Just then, Eli, Harley, Junjie and Yu Jie caught up to them. "Hey, Xana." Eli said. Xana laughed as she looked at her brothers. "Looks like someone's been having fun." Harley said.
Later, the 4 brought Xana and Rouge back to the gang, who were surprised to see that Xana was riding her Infurnus at such a young age. "Oh, my little baby." Eliza said as she picked up her baby daughter. She knew what everyone was thinking about Xana. And…they're right. "You are something very special. Just like your brothers." She whispered. Eli and Harley smiled at each other, knowing what she said.
