Halo 5.1 Guardians of Sera Chapter 45
"So you got Jack runnin' again huh? Nice job. We're gonna need him" said Marcus.
"Yeah. He's got a few new tricks to show you, too" said Baird.
"What's the status on the ongoing effort Arbiter?" asked Master Chief.
"All COG, Gorasni, and UNSC forces are heading towards here. My troops will providing air support along with others. I'll be helping you all clear a path for a landing zone." explained Arbiter.
"Elites on our side? That's a welcomed change of pace." said Baird.
"Commander Palmer is leading the UNSC effort on air support. Once this weapon is deploted, we will wipe the parasite from this planet forever" said Arbiter.
"That's the plan. That's our mission. We finish the fight and we all go home" said Master Chief.
"KR-06 on task Fenix. We'll lay down fire for ya"
"Roger that Zero Six" said Marcus.
"Least we got air support for a change" said Cole.
"Enemy guards up ahead" said Master Chief.
The Locust we're on the attack opening fire on the group.
"KR-06 to Delta, we have visual on Guards approaching to your left! Engaging now!"
KR-06 was raining down covering fire and Jack was getting right into the fight himself.
"Go get 'em Jack!" said Baird as Jack was now equipped with a taser.
"You gave Jack a stun gun" said Anya.
"Yeah, he can do a lot more than just open doors" said Baird.
"Oh, shit! Jack is back baby!" said Cole.
"FOR SANGHELLIOS!" shouts Arbiter leading his Swords by slicing through the grubs with his Prophet's Bane energy sword.
"Give 'em hell" said Vale in Sanghelli
"Yo bitch! Tell your Queen, Delta's here to settle some scores!" said Cole.
"Man have I missed this" said Buck with joy fighting along side his friends.
As Delta, Blue Team, Fireteam Osiris and The Swords of Sanghellios advanced further, KR-06 spotted incoming Grub transport.
"Heads up Fenix! Gas Barges heading your way! Goddamn, look out! Catapault!"
KR-06 gets hit and crashed from the sky.
"The enemy has anti-air!" said Arbiter.
"Fenix to Trescu, warn off your birds! The grubs got Anti-Air.
"117 to Palmer, copy on Marcus' report? Locust have Anti-Air defenses. Caution all Pelicans"
"Roger that Fenix! Standing by!" said Trescu.
"Mama Bird to Fenix, solid copy on Anti-Air. Take em out and clear a path for the birds to a safe landing zone." said Palmer.
"I need a Phantom on our postion. Take out the Anti-Air weapon on my comand!" said Arbiter.
"Yes Arbiter, Phantom inbound!" said an Elite.
"My men will destroy the enemy Anti-Air here, from there we shall help destroy any further ones positioned inland. Afterwards, I must return to my soldiers to help aid this endeavor." explained Arbiter.
"We appreciate the assist Arbiter" said Marcus.
The team get a visual on the Locust catapult and gas barges incoming.
"Arbiter, we are inbound and have visual on enemy air forces and anti-air. Awating your command!" said an Elite.
"Show them the might of the Swords of Sanghellios" said Arbiter giving the word.
The Phantom then shoots from it's cannon and opens the side door for an Elite to man the plasma turret shooting down ground forces and the barges out of the sky.
"Commander, you can start landing troops. We've taken out the catapult and the gas barges" said Anya.
"Pilots are reporting at least two more Artillery positions further inland. We have very few aircraft left COG. I cannot commit them until those catapults are taken out." said Trescu
"Palmer to Trescue, I got birds and Phantoms on standby to assit."
"We'll find 'em standby. Okay move out! Let's put these assholes out of buisness." said Marcus as Baird and Cole open the door forward.
"Yo, check out this fancy shit! It's a goddamn five star hotel!" said Cole.
"Yeah, but look what happens when you don't tip the bellhop" said Baird.
The hotel PA turned on playing a pre recorded message.
"Whoa, what the hell is she selling?" asked Baird.
"Probably complementary room service from the Hotel Panic Room?" asked Linda.
"Hotels for the elite and none for the people dying from a war? Disgusting" said Vale.
"Azura was a bunker for the COG's elite. So they could hide until the war was over. The last war." said Marcus.
"Shit, so it really was a panic room" said Linca.
The team then cam across the horror of dead scientists.
"Oh god, are those the research staff?" asked Anya.
"Hard to say. I can't tell whether their coat were white or not." said Baird.
This is the last COG base the grubs would find. Makes sense to evacuate your key scientists here" said Marcus.
"Like Prescott evacuated your father?" asked Anya.
"Yeah, maybe" said Marcus.
"We need to find the Professor. Before it's too late." said Master Chief.
"Dad? It looks like they killed everyone" said Marcus.
"I think I was the only human they needed alive. Marcus, I can explain about Myrrah" said Adam.
"Dad it can wait. Where are we?" asked Marcus.
"You're near the hydroelectric dam. You've still got someway to go to reach the tower." said Adam.
"Okay Dad, we're coming" said Marcus.
Outside the door the the dam, lied the next catapult and Locust patrol.
"We've spotted another enemy anti-air Artillery position. Standby for my word." said Arbiter.
"Approching now and confirming visual." said the Elite pilot.
Arbiter nods to Master Chief as he signals Linda, Fred and Tanaka to take down some guards.
"Three, two, one!"
Fred, Linda and Tanaka hit headshots as the Locust returned fire.
"They've seen us!" said Marcus.
"Now!" shouts Arbiter.
The Phantom arrives to rain down plasma round wiping out the remaining ground forces as gas barges and reavers were inbound.
"Arbiter, enemy aircarft approaching. Engaging now!" said the Elite pilot.
"Delta to Trescu, we've taken one artillery position, but look out for Reavers. We're engaging!" said Anya.
"Roger that Delta." said Trescu.
"Come on people. Drop those Reavers." said Marcus.
"Enemy anti-air is down. Engaging remaining ground forces." said the Phantom pilot.
"Another catapult incoming at the dam!" said Master Chief.
"Engaging!" said the Phantom pilot opening fire on the catapult and the dam.
The dam was on the verge of bursting and flowing with water.
"Get clear run!" said Marcus leading the team back inside for safety.
The hotel PA turns on again.
"Enough with the fucking recordings" said Marcus getting annoyed.
"Goddamn it. Dad, once we get you out, what do we need to do ro activate your weapon?" asked Marcus.
"I've got the command keys here. That's all I need to trigger it." explained Adam.
"Professor, this is Damon Baird. How does this thing work?"
"Ah, Baird! Yes, Prescott mentioned you. Think of it as a neutron bomb without the blast. One that only kills lambent cells, in all of us" explained Adam.
"Alrighty then. Looking forward to that." said Baird.
Marcus and Anya then got the door open to the next area as they were met with more Locust.
"Yo! Look out!" said Cole.
"Grubs on the roof!" said Marcus.
"C'mon assholes! Don't keep me waitin'!" said Cole.
The team fought through Guards, Boomers, and Bloodmounts to the final artillery position.
"There it is, the last Siege Beast!" said Marcus.
"Final artillery position ahead. What's your position?" asked Arbiter.
"Arriving now. Engaging!" said the Phantom Pilot.
"Come on! Take that thing out! We got reinforcements waiting!" said Marcus.
The Phantom finished off the gas barge and accompanied ground forces clearing the area entirely.
"Fenix to all callsigns, you're clear to land! Let's get rid of this thing."
Delta pushed the Siege Beast off the cliff and into the water.
"That's the last one." said Anya
"This is where we must part. I must return to my troops and aid Infinity in this effort. Good luck. It was an honor to fight alongside you all" said Arbiter as he and his Swords of Sanghellios return to the Phantom and take off.
"Ah shit!" said Baird as Lambent stalks popped up from the water.
"Fenix to Trecu, stalk's have shown up. You got a visual on us?"
"They are appearing everywhere Fenix. Standby...we are diverting a Raven and a Pelican to your position. Just get your father's weapon deployed and finish this!"
"Okay, run! Get to the building, now!" ordered Marcus.
The stalks were getting closer and closer and they closed the door behind them.
