Episode 3: Space Ape at the Cape
– Separator –
Our view opens in a lab of some kind. Scientists wearing lab coats with the logo of ETIS work quietly, rush around quietly, and even take their breaks quietly.
A woman dressed in a pink t-shirt, purple pants, and black high heeled shoes stands by an examining table. She wears an E.T.I.S. lab coat. She holds a device, which she aims at an egg of some kind on the table.
As the woman waves her device over the egg it begins to glow. "Oh no! It can't be!"
The lab starts to shake causing several workers to stumble.
"The alien egg, it's hatching!"
The
Egg breaks apart revealing an alien. The alien is about the size of a small child. It has sea green eyes. The alien reaches out for the workers as they flee the lab.
– Separator –
Our view shifts to Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby doo in a flight simulator. Fred sits at the controls taking his turn at flying. Daphne sits beside Fred acting as co-pilot. Velma and Shaggy sit behind them. Shaggy has a bag which holds some dehydrated food. Scooby is lying down in the back.
"Ready to engage maneuvering thrusters."
Velma looks at the screen of the simulator. "Are you sure you know what you're doing Fredy?"
"Of course, Velma. It's just like a big mystery machine. Only in space."
Shaggy eats some food. "Like this dehydrated eggplant is the best!"
Scooby reaches out with 1 paw and grabs some food for himself.
Fred glances back at Shaggy and Scooby. "Hay guys don't eat too much of that stuff."
Velma notices something on the screen. "Um, Fred?"
"Not now Velma."
Daphne looks at the screen herself. "Fred look out."
The simulated shuttle plows into an asteroid causing the simulation to shut down.
After recovering from Fred's Collision, the gang exits the simulator. A man dressed in a blue military uniform. The uniform is covered with metals, showing the man to be of captain's rank. He also wears a blue military cap, and black shoes. Under the cap we can see the man has brown hair.
Shaggy and Scooby exit last. "Like this shuttle simulator was the coolest part of the tour."
The captain smiles. "Well, it's not over yet, we've still got 1 more stop."
The gang follows the captain down a hall into a large room that overlooks the launch pad for shuttles. "Welcome, to mission control."
The gang mutters in surprised awe looking around the control room.
The captain passes out pins to each member of the group. "Oh and, you'll have to wear these tracking pins. See those green blips up there?"
Our view shifts to a screen high up on the wall. Five green dots stand in a group.
Our view shifts back to the captain. "That's you guys. Make sure not to take them off. We've had some security issues on the base recently, and we want to make sure you stay safe."
Fred pins the pin to his scarf. "What kind of security issues?"
The captain shakes his head. "Don't worry. It's nothing we can't handle. Well, that's it for the tour. You better get going. You don't want to be late for your own ceremony Velma."
Velma smiles at the captain. "Thanks Captain Treesdale."
– Separator –
Our view shifts to a small theater of some kind. Keith Dale stands at a podium, while scientists and their families fill in most of the rows of seats. The gang have seats in the front row.
Captain Treesdale speaks into a microphone. "Let me introduce the 2 finalists. Elliott Blender, with his project soybeans, rocket fuel of the future. And Velma Dinkley, with her experiment on how earthworms are affected by zero gravity. Unfortunately, we've only got room on the shuttle for 1 of these projects."
Shaggy and Scooby can be seen eating more dehydrated food.
"And so, the winner of this year's future scientist is, Velma Dinkley!"
Fred and Daphne can be seen applauding Velma except for her award. Hidden behind the group of people a young woman smiles.
Captain Treesdale waves to Velma as she joins her friends. "Now everyone is welcome to help themselves to the refreshment table.
Everyone turns toward the table that is supposed to be loaded with food and finds it nearly empty.
Shaggy notices everyone's stairs. "Ah zoo Keeny anyone?"

Our view focuses on the gang as they cluster around Velma as she holds her award.
Fred gazes at the trophy. "Wow Velma, that's a grate trophy!"
Velma was still smiling. "I have to say I'm pretty excited. Not only did I win, but I also got to meet my favorite scientist. Janet Lorence. She even signed this." Velma holds up what looks like a trading card.
Daphne Reads the card over Velma's shoulder. "Janet Lorence has degrees in astrophysics, and biochemistry."
Shaggy looks at the card in puzzlement. "I didn't know they made bubblegum cards for scientists!"
Velma shakes her head. "Well, they don't really. My science club made them."
Elliot walks over to Velma with a scowl on his face. "How are worms affected by zero gravity? That has no relevant application."
Velma turns to face him. "On the contrary. Seeing how organisms that possess a hydrostatic skeleton are affected by reduced gravity could further agricultural developments and help to colonize other planets."
Elliott blinks at Velma's response, then shrugs. "Mine's still better."
Fred smiles at Elliott. "Well, there's always next year Elliott!" With a scowl Elliott walks away.
The woman we saw earlier walks into view. Velma spots her. "Hi Professor Lorance!"
Professor Lorance smiles at Velma. "Please call me Janet."
Velma's eyes widen. "Wow! I mean ok! Janet works with ETIS here at the base. It stands for the Extra-terrestrial information search."
Shaggy looks up in alarm. "You mean, aliens!"
Janet nods. "Exactly."
Velma gives Shaggy a look, before turning back to Janet. "So, Janet I was hoping to get a look at the data on your current research project."
To the group's surprise Janet shakes her head. "It's classified. Recently we've had some complications."
Velma blinks. "Complications?"
Janet nods. "Hopefully it's nothing to worry about."
Fred speaks up. "So, Janet, do you think I have the right stuff. To be an astronaut."
Janet examines Fred. "Being an astronaut takes a lot of work. I know I could never do it. I'm afraid of heights."
The group hears something growl. looking around the group spots a creature walking through the hall.
Daphne recoils at the sight. "What is that?"
Janet looks where Daphne is looking. "Oh no, the alien!"
The alien runs around other people, before disappearing without a trace.
Fred looks around in puzzlement. "What was that thing?"
Janet slumps. "That was the complication."
Shaggy and Scooby shiver under 1 of the tables as Captain Treesdale walks over.
Janet turns to the captain. "I warned you this could happen."
Treesdale nods. "Well from now on we're not taking any chances. I've already locked down the base. No one is permitted to leave."
Janet's eyes widen. "What about the shuttle flight?"
Treesdale shrugs. "Sorry Janet, but until we find that, whatever it was. The launch is cancelled."
Treesdale walks away.
Velma looks thoughtful. "Professor Lorance, could that have really been an alien?"
Janet Shrugs. "Anything is possible Velma. Last month I sent a probe to collect comet debris, and it picked up something very unusual. It looked like an egg. Possibly an alien egg. Earlier this evening I was about to run a preliminary scan of it, but then the egg hatched. I tried to warn everyone that there might be an alien on the loose, but no one would believe me."
Daphne looks surprised. "That must have been 1 big egg. The alien is 4 feet tall."
However, Janet shakes her head. "That's just the thing. The egg wasn't very large at all."
Shaggy stands by a shaking Scooby. "Lucky us. It's going through an alien growth spirit."
Velma pats Janet's shoulder. "Don't worry Janet. We're going to get to the bottom of this."
Janet smiles at Velma. "You guys go on, but please be careful." Janet walks off.
Velma glances at 1 of the corners of the room. "Ivy, did you see anything we should know about?"
Fred, Daphne, and Shaggy jump in surprise when Ivey appears across from them.
Ivy smiles at Velma. "I could swear the alien looked familiar for some reason. I just don't know why."
Fred frowns. "Do you think it's not really an alien?"
Ivy shrugs. "Like Professor Lorance said, anything is possible. That being said, I don't think this alien came from off the planet."
"So, what will you be doing Ivy" Daphne asked. "After all you didn't get 1 of the pins, and we can't let anyone see you here."
Ivy nods. "I'm going to slip out of the base for a few hours. I need to restock my potions anyway."
Walking over to Ivy Velma gives her a hug. "See you when you get back. Please stay safe."
Ivy smiles at Velma, and redonning her invisibility cloak vanishes from sight.
Velma walks back over to Fred and Daphne. "First thing we should do is check out the lab."
It takes a minute, but Shaggy shakes his head at Velma's suggestion. "No way, Scooby and I are staying right here."
Scooby nods. "Reh."
Velma gives Shaggy an incredulous look. "Right here. Where did we just see the alien?" She shrugs. "Suit yourself!"
Shaggy looks over at Scooby. "Why does she always do that? LIKE WAIT FOR US!"
The 2 of them run after the others.
– Separator –
Our view shifts to the lab in which the alien egg hatched. Velma is working at 1 of the desks. Fred, Shaggy, and Scooby are exploring the lab, while Daphne stands next to Belma.
Velma stairs at a laptop screen. "My laptop says the material is definitely organic."
Daphne examines the egg. "Whatever it is, it sure is gooey."
Velma frowns. "Not exactly a scientific term" Velma reaches over and feels the egg. "Eww, but your right, and there's water in the bottom of the egg case."
Fred is standing by the sink. "Maybe that's because someone left this faucet on!"
Velma looks thoughtful. "Um! I wonder if that had any effect on the egg."
Without warning a larger version of the alien walks into view of the gang growling. "Aah! It's the alien!" Shaggy runs to a corner of the lab and hides under a table. The alien steps fully into view, revealing it to be Scooby Doo. Scooby laughs at Shaggy hiding under the table.
Daphne looks behind the table Shaggy hid under. She picks up some kind of container from the floor. "Hay gang, what is a makeup container doing in the lab?"
Velma shrugs. "Maybe it belongs to Janet."
Daphne shakes her head. "I doubt it. She didn't have any makeup on at the ceremony, and if you don't wear makeup to an event like that you certainly don't wear it while working in your lab."
Scooby sniffs the container causing him to sneeze hard enough to send him flying back across the lab.
Fred straightens up from examining Janet's desk. "Well gang! It looks like there's only 1 thing left to do."
Shaggy stands from under the table. "Let me guess."
Shaggy, Scooby, and Fred all say, "split up and look for clues."
Shaggy shakes his head. "How did I know he was going to say that!"
Scooby stands beside Shaggy as the others leave the lab.
– Separator –
Our view shifts to what looks like a cafeteria as Shaggy and Scooby walk in. "Wow! Just our luck Scoob. The mess-hall!"
"Reh."
Shaggy walks over to a machine against the wall. "Check it out. Like this is the dehydrating machine where they make all that astronaut food. Watch!"
Shaggy picks up a watermelon, places it into the machine, and presses a button. With a sound like a microwave the watermelon is reduced to a piece of dried fruit.
Shaggy throws the dried watermelon into his mouth, chews for a couple of seconds, and swallows. "A hole watermelon, in 1 bight."
Scooby licks his lips, as Shaggy looks around at all the fruit available. "Oh man, am I home!"
Shaggy and Scooby eat dehydrated fruit for the next few minutes. "This dehydrated stuff is the best! Half the height, 16 times the food. Hand me another 4 slices of tomato would you Scoob?"
A scaly hand places 4 tomato slices in Shaggy's hand. Scooby sees the hand and starts shivering in fear.
"Like thanks. Man, Scoob your fur is getting kind of scaly."
Shaggy turns to find the alien, now even taller than before, standing behind him. Scooby is shivering in a corner of the room.
"Zoinks! The alien!"

Our view shifts from Shaggy's frightened face to overhead. As Shaggy and Scooby cower away from the approaching alien, Captain Treesdale lunges in out of nowhere to attempt tackling the alien.
The alien avoids Treesdale's lunge and slaps him with 1 of its hands.
Treesdale goes down, and some kind of rash begins to spread from where he was slapped.
The alien turns its attention back on Shaggy and Scooby. With a yelp of fright Scooby runs into the storeroom. The alien follows Scooby and begins to search for Scooby.
Without warning the alien is sprayed from behind. Scooby lunges out from hiding and traps the alien under some metal boxes. Scooby closes the storeroom door.
Shaggy crawls out from under a table. "waita go Scoob. You trapped him." Shaggy turns to find an unknown woman dressed like a janitor. "Like, who are you?"
"That doesn't matter right now." The woman kneels to examine Treesdale. "What is this?"
Shaggy looks to see what the woman is looking at. "It's like, an alien rash."
The woman dresses Treesdale's wound.
Shaggy blinks in surprise. "Wow! Our janitor at school could never do that."
The woman looks up. "We need to get him to the infirmary. Is the coast clear?"
Shaggy nods. "Yap! Scooby trapped the alien in the storeroom."
Without warning the door to the storeroom bursts open, revealing the alien.
"Well like, we thought he did!"
The woman picks up Treesdale, and the 3 of them run out of the mess hall.
The alien chases Shaggy and Scooby as they split off from the woman carrying Treesdale. The 2 of them run into a room and slam the door in the alien's face.
"Hi guys."
Shaggy looks up to see the others. It was Velma that had spoken to them. "Any luck?"
Shaggy nods. "Yap, and all of it bad. We saw the alien. And not only did we see him, but he's growing. That menace from Mars is now taller than Fredy."
Daphne looks worried. "I wonder just how big it will get."
"Like I don't want to find out."
"Re reither."
– Separator –
Our view shifts to the gang walking down a hallway. Out the windows we can see planes landing and taking off. The gang entered a room. Janet is sitting at a table, playing with a chimpanzee.
Velma raises 1 eyebrow. "Janet, you are sure working late!"
Janet looks up from her work. "Well Reggie has scheduled exercise, and I'm not going to let that alien stop me from getting my work done."
Daphne looks around the room. "Who's Reggie?"
Reggie walks across the table.
Velma looks excited. "A chimpanzee, wow!"
Janet smiles at Reggie. "Reggie here is going on the next shuttle flight to do an important spacewalk. He's truly amazing! I can train him to do just about anything."
Reggie scares Scooby, causing Scooby to run and jump into a tank full of water.
Fred looks down at Scooby. "Scooby what are you doing? We don't have time for swimming."
Reggie laughs at Scooby as the gang leaves the room.
– Separator –
Our view shifts as the gang walks out of Janet's lab. Velma spots Elliott reading something. Hearing footsteps Elliott hides whatever it is behind his back.
Velma walks up to Elliott. "Elliott! What are you hiding behind your back?"
"Nothing." Elliott glances around. Lunging forward Scooby grabs something from Elliott's hand. "Hay, let go of that you flee bag k9."
Velma glances over the papers Scooby grabbed from Elliot. "This is the research data for Janet's project. This is classified."
Elliott shrugs. "So, what? I'm not scared of..."
"What's going on here?" Janet walks out of her lab. She sees the papers in Velma's hands. "Is that? I thought I asked you not to look at my research!"
Elliott immediately pointed to Velma. "Velma did it. I tried to stop her."
Velma blinks. "What?"
Janet looks disappointed. "It doesn't matter who did it. I told you that you were welcome to look around the lab, but my data was off limits." Janet walks away.
Velma gives Elliott a look. "I may not believe in violence, but that doesn't mean I don't know how to give a mean wedgy."
Daphne's face scrunches up in disgust. "Eww!"
Scooby growls at Elliott.
Elliott's shoulders slump. "Wait, wait I can help you."
Velma turns back to glare at Elliott. "I doubt that highly."
Elliott's expression doesn't change. "Trust me, I found something."
– Separator –
Our view shifts to the gang and Elliott standing outside a closet.
Velma gives Elliott a strange look. "You brought us to a janitor's closet?"
Elliott rolls his eyes. "Would you just look inside already."
Velma opens the closet door.
Daphne peers over her shoulder. "Jeepers! This looks like spy stuff."
Velma examines the items in the closet. "What would a janitor be doing with all this?"
Shaggy looks thoughtful. "Well, there was something strange about that janitor who bandaged Captain Treesdale. She sure knew a lot about medicine."
Fred nods at Shaggy's words. "Looks like we better keep our eye on this mystery maintenance woman."
– Separator –
Our view shifts oto the gang as they stand around outside the facility. Velma studys a shuttle on the launch pad. "If that shuttle doesn't launch, 5 years of Janey's research is down the drane."
Fred looks thoughtful. "Maybe that's why someone came up with this hole alien skeem."
Velma looks frustrated. "But who could be behind it?"
Shaggy gives Velma a strange look. "Are you missing Ivy Velma?"
Velma splutters at Shaggy's question. Fred gives Shaggy a disapproving look. Scooby flops onto his back and pretends to sleep.
Daphne pulls Velma into a hug for a minute, before glancing around. "Do you think Keith Dale might be hiding something?"
Fred shoots Daphne in a look of approval. "Or maybe our mystery janitor has a secret or 2."
Velma smiles at Daphne in thanks, before examining the shuttle again. "I wouldn't put it past Elliott."
Shaggy looks up at a shadow the others hadn't noticed. "Hay like I've got another suspect for you. HIM!"
The gang turns to see the alien even taller than before looming over all of them. With a yell each member of the gang runs in different directions.
– Chase scene to Music of America–
The alien follows Shaggy as he leads it on a marry chase through the mess hall. Shaggy throws several dehydrated foods at the alien trying to knock it over. At last, the alien loses sight of shaggy and returns to where the chase first started.
Following paw prints the alien next comes across Scooby trying to hide under a table in the room where Velma received her award. With a growl the alien lunches for Scooby, only for Scooby to leap to his feet, and start running around the room in circles. The alien at first follows Scooby trying to catch him, but finally stops following him, and waits for Scooby to reappear. When there is no sight of the dog after 2 minutes the alien returns to where the chase started.
Next the alien checks Janet's lab. There it finds Velma trying to hide behind some equipment. The alien attempts to grab Velma, but she slips out of the alien's grasp, and runs off.
Growling in frustration the alien returns to where the chase began, and spotted Daphne climbing up the shuttle. With a burst of speed, the alien follows Daphne up the shuttle. As the alien follows Daphne, she causes a parachute to trap the alien for a few seconds.
– End of chase scene –
Fred looks around. "Where's Daphne?"
Velma points to the screen above their head. "There's Daphne! The green blip!"
Fred looks up to where the blip shows Daphne is and finds her near the top of the space shuttle. "Oh no! We've got to help her."
Daphne pulls herself up onto a platform that extends above the shuttle. Steadying herself Daphne turns to find the alien waiting for her. Daphne turns to run from the alien, but 1 of her shoes is stuck in the platform.
As the alien slowly approaches her Daphne pulls on her stuck shoe. "This darn shoe!" Daphne continues pulling. "Come on. Come on. Got you!"
Daphne pulls her shoe free, slips it back on to her foot, and turns to run away from the alien onto a gangplank high above the ground.
Shaggy spots Daphne as she runs out on to the gangplank. "Don't look down Daph!"
As Daphne runs across the gangplank the alien suddenly freezes in place. After just standing in place for a few minutes the alien returns back to where they climbed up, and sliding down disappears from sight.
– Separator –
Our view shifts to the gang walking back to their courters. Daphne has a puzzled look on her face. "I wonder why the alien didn't follow me across the gangplank?"
Shaggy grins. "Maybe you've got happenin Carma."
Velma shakes her head. "Or maybe that alien is a big phony."
The gang comes across Velma's worm farm. It's broken open. "Oh no My worm farm! Someone broke it."
Scooby growls and starts sniffing around.
Fred gives Velma a sympathetic look. "That's too bad about your project Velma."
The gang hears a sound coming from behind where the farm was standing. "But right now, I think we have bigger problems!"
Shaggy looks scared. "The alien!"
Fred squares his shoulders. "There's only 1 way to find out."
Fred reaches into a space behind the worm farm, and grabbing hold of something drags it out from behind the farm. "Hay! let go of me you big jerk." Fred drags Elliott into view.
Shaggy, Daphne, and Velma all exclaim "Elliott!"
Velma glares at Elliott. "Did you do this to my project?"
Elliott pulls free from Fred's grip. "So, what if I did. Your project was stupid." Elliott walks off.
Velma looks angry. "That's it. I say Elliott is the alien."
Fred pats Velma on the back. "Hay not so fast Velma. There's still 1 suspect we haven't investigated."
– Separator –
Our view shifts to the gain standing in the office of Keith Dale. The office isn't very large. especially for someone who seems as important as Keith Dale. There are some pictures on the walls, and a desk with a computer along the back wall.
Daphne glances around the office. "Why would Keith Dale not want to see the shuttle launch?"
Fred shakes his head. "I don't know, but if he is behind this we're going to find out."
Velma is examining the desk. "Hay look at this. It's Keith's internet password."
Daphne glances over Velma's shoulder as she types in the password. "Keith Razorchuck, so?"
Velma watches the screen as she scrolls through data. "So, Razorchuck? Maybe Dale wasn't always Keith's last name."
Several articles pop up under the name Razorchuck. Velma smiles. "Here's an article. It looks like Keith Razorchuck was a pretty good scientist." Velma pulls up another article. "And look at this, an article he wrote about artificial intelligence. That's what Janet won the Nobel Prize for."
Daphne quickly reads the screen. "It looks like they were both working on the same idea, but Janet published her research first."
Velma turns from the screen. "So! If Keith lost the Nobel Prize to Janet, maybe he's trying to get revenge by sabotaging her new project."
Meanwhile Shaggy and Scooby are investigating a nearby hallway. Without warning the 2 of them hear a noise from a nearby room.
"Hay! Who do your think's creeping around in the dive tank room at this time of night?"
"Ralien?"
"Yep, my thought exactly."
Shaggy and Scooby hide behind some equipment and watch the door to the dive tank room. As they watch the janitor from earlier walks out of the dive tank room and walks toward another part of the base.
Shaggy pops out from cover. "We better tell the gang about this."
– Separator –
Our view shifts to the entire gang as they walk into the dive tank room.
Daphne looks around the room with interest. "Now what would a janitor be cleaning in here?"
Velma nods in agreement. "And why so late at night?"
Fred looks around the room in puzzlement. "This doesn't look right. We need to get a closer look at the surveillance camera."
Fred climbs up to the surveillance camera, and upon noticing an object that wasn't part of the camera system He tries to remove it. The object seems to be stuck at first, but Fred keeps pulling it.
At last, the unknown object began pulling loose. "Almost got it..."
Without warning the object pulls free, and Fred falls back toward the floor. As he falls, he crashes into Shaggy, who is tossed into the pool.
"Like help!"
Suddenly Shaggy is launched out of the pool when dehydrated food exploded in his pockets.
Daphne looks at Shaggy in surprise. "What is that?"
Shaggy looks down. "Oh! I forgot all about the dehydrated food I shoved in my pockets."
Velma looks like she's just figured something out. "The water must have caused it to expand. Hum, interesting."
Fred is examining the object he pulled from the camera. "And this looks like some kind of radio transmitter that has been plugged into the security system. That janitor must have put it here."
Velma straightens with a gleam in her eye. "Well, I think I've got this mystery just about figured out. There's only 1 thing left to do."
Fred nods. "Capture that alien."
Fred, Daphne, and Velma turn to look at Shaggy and Scooby who stop eating the no longer dehydrated food to gulp.
– Separator –
Our view shifts to the gang standing in a large room. Looking around 1 can see an open door down a slope, and 1 would also notice the lights are rather dim.
Fred looks at the others. "Ok now it's very simple. When the alien runs in, Daphne will hit the floodlights blinding him. The alien will slip down this ramp toward the open cockpit of the centrifugal force machine. Velma will seal the door, while I throw the switch from up there in the control room."
Velma smiles. "Looks like the only thing we need now is someone to lead the alien into this room."
Shaggy gives Scooby a look. Then he turns to the others and shakes his head. "No, no, I see where this is going. Scoob And I am not going to be bate. Not this time."
Scooby nods in agreement.
Daphne smirks. "Oh yeh, would you do it for a ..."
"Sorry Daphne! We're way ahead of you." Shaggy and Scooby pull out boxes of Scooby Snacks. "We brought our own supply of Scooby Snacks just for such an emergency."
Fred smirks. "Oh yeh, but do you have..." Fred holds up a glass of milk.
Shaggy's shoulders slump. "Oh man. Nothing goes better with Scooby Snacks than milk."
Scooby wavers, but in the end runs over to Fred to beg for the milk.
Shaggy gives Scooby a disappointed look. "Like way to show a united front Scooby Doo."
– Separator –
Our view shifts to the hallway of the base. Shaggy and Scooby are looking around for the alien.
Shaggy spots a ceiling vent. "Remember that triple creature feature we saw last week? Well, if I learned anything, it's that aliens like to hide in vents. Like hand me that screwdriver would you Scoob?"
As Scooby reaches for the screwdriver the alien reveals itself behind Scooby.
Shaggy's eyes bug out. "So much for the movies. RUN!"
Shaggy and Scooby are chased by the alien into the room with the centrifugal force machine.
Velma looks up toward Fred in the control room. "I think I hear someone coming."
Fred speaks over the intercom. "Throw the lights Daphne."
Daphne hits the switch flooding the room with light. Scooby and the alien stumble, while Shaggy falls out of sight.
The alien blinks its eyes for a minute, before turning its attention to Velma who is still waiting by the centrifugal force machine controls, and Fred still up in the control room.
Scooby grabs a container of milk Fred left out and sprays the alien bringing its attention back on him.
The alien starts for Scooby who tries to run. Both of them slip in a puddle made by the milk Scooby sprayed at the alien, and both tumble down the ramp, right into the centrifugal force machine.
Velma slaps the control to seal the cockpit door, and Fred hits the switch starting up the machine.
Watching closely Velma saw when the alien lost all fight within them. "Ok Fredy, that's enough."
Fred hits the switch to shut down the machine, and Velma hits the control to open the door.
First out is Scooby, who runs over Shaggy who had stood up by this time.
Velma walked toward the machine with the others. "It's time to find out who our alien really is."
Reaching in Fred pulls someone out of the machine. The group all gape in surprise. "Janet Lawrence!"

Our view shifts to the gang sitting around a table with the other people they had met during the investigation.
Keith Dale looks lost. "Professor Lawrence, but why?"
Velma speaks up. "Because her project wasn't ready. Instead of facing the humiliation of admitting her mistake, she decided to keep the space shuttle from launching. By coming up with this alien egg scam."
Elliott looks up from the table. "That's why she didn't want us looking at her data."
Fred nods. "And that's why the alien wouldn't chase Daphne across the gangplank at the top of the tower. Because Janet is afraid of heights."
Daphne smiles at everyone around the table. "And the makeup I found in the lab did belong to Janet, but it wasn't makeup at all. It was an allergy powder that caused that strange rash on Captain Treesdale."
Shaggy sits up strait. "And only someone with a degree in biochemistry could come up with a freaky compound like that."
Keith grins as Scooby nods to Shaggy. "Grate work kids, but how do you explain the shorter alien. It couldn't have been Janet."
Velma nods to Keith. "The short version was Reggie. the chimp, wearing the alien suit. Then Janet wore the suit herself, for the medium version. And then used stilts to make it appear the alien was growing for the tall version. But thanks to Shaggy, there was 1 final clue which put it all together for me. When he fell in the tank, and all of his food expanded, it made me realize the alien egg was nothing more than dehydrated organic material. When Janet wanted to make it look like it was hatching, all she had to do was add a little bit of water."
Janet, sitting in handcuffs, glared at the gang. "And I would have gotten away with it, if it wasn't for you meddling kids."
Without warning Janet lashes out at the 2 officers holding her and attempts to run. At the door the janitor trips her, allowing the cops to grab her again. The officers march her out of the room
Fred focuses on the janitor. "But who are you?"
The woman smiles. "My name is Celia Clyde. I'm an FBI agent. I was sent here to monitor possible alien activity."
Velma winzes. "Sorry we had to unmask your alien."
Celia smiles at Velma. "That's alright. This alien might have been a fake, but out there somewhere, maybe watching us right now, are extra-terrestrials waiting to make contact."
Shaggy points behind all of them. "Like you aren't kidding, look!"
The gang looks to see Scooby trying to fit into the alien costume. Everyone laughs as Scooby struggles freely.
– Separator –
Our view shifts to the gang as they watch the space shuttle blast off.
Fred points up. "There it goes!"
Daphne stands next to Velma. "It's too bad your experiment isn't going with its Velma."
Velma shrugs. "That's ok. There's always next year. But come to think of it, what happened to my worms?"
Shaggy and Scooby sit at a table with food in front of them. "These Chinese noodles sure look grate, hu Scoob?"
Scooby notices Velma's worms among the noodles and shaking his head points to the worms.
Spotting the worms Shaggy reals back in disgust. "Grose!"
Scooby Nods. "Scooby, Dooby, yuck."

An: and that is it for episode 3. There's a good reason why I had Ivy leave the gang part way through this chapter. This is so she can scar the pants off Shaggy and Scooby when she returns. At this point I have 3 quarters of chapter 4 written, and I'll get that finished either later today, or on Sunday.
