9. Chapter 9

The hero becomes the villainess or not chapter 9- into the land of elves

This chapter will cover the group entering the elf village and how Katerina views the actions of the teacher that set the group towards it.

I will cover the events of episodes 19-21 with lots of my own changes

Shun pov

Our former teacher took us to a cave and inside that cave was a teleport point into the elf village. She said it has a barrier to keep enemies out, then once getting in she defended us from the other elves and even brought up the fact of Katerina and her power. but it took the reveal of the fact her father was both here and still alive that really shocked most of us. it didn't see Katerina's face and her reaction. But the elf chief said to us "so we have both the hero and the god slayer here interesting." Then he said to the other elves "let them through, I have matters to discuss with these people."

Katerina pov

As we walked with the elf leader, he told us about the massive force the empire had brought. But Shun was more concerned about not using their forces against the demons. I knew I didn't trust this man and more so with how much he was prepared for our arrival. I had a feeling this man could be more dangerous than even the demon lord. When I talked to him about the storm zones, the man didn't seem to worry about them. He even mentioned stopping one in the forest from forming and I just wondered what the hell he did. Oberon said through our mental connection "it was supposed to be fairy Britan but he killed it before I could. I was lucky to escape and insert my soul into an insect monster. This man must be stopped the only way he could've took down a lost belt is likely why this world is in such bad shape." I said back "I know he has to be bad but until we meet the nightmare and gain her support, we just have to play along a little bit longer."

It was the next day that the other reincarnations and I headed on the day long trip across the elf village. On the way to the area with the reincarnations, we talked about the barrier as I mentioned "I was pretty sure I could bring down the barrier if I tried hard enough." But assured the others, "I would have to try various weapons and I don't really want to bring it down."

When we made it the settlement area, the other people there didn't seem to like their former teacher and even called us victims. They seemed to not like the teacher and even hated her while they took care of a farm. the trio of school reincarnations introduced themselves and even I was shocked to learn that the red-haired girl used to be a male in her past life. I just watched on and told the group at this farm and told them when they asked about me "my butler and are from another group of reincarnations. We don't have the same goals as you all do."

While the trio talked and got to know their former friends, I talked to the former teacher and Oberon and left with her. then as we were out of earshot I said "I figured out what you did. You had all these people taken from their new lives to protect them. I saw you have a skill that lets you keep track of your former students. I can't tell what you know about them or what it lets you see but I have a feeling it was so bad you decided to gather them up. but you are just making bigger targets. Putting most of them in one place is just asking for trouble." She then looked at me in horror as I said "you don't have to say anything we just have to hope the empire can't break through or something. She did tell me that a few of her students had already died and a few on the side of the demons.

I talked about the teacher and how she knew her students would end up going to war. but I told her "Hugo alone would have stated something sooner or later but there is also the fact gods are playing the sides against each other as well. Apollo is checking but trying to avoid getting into pulled into whatever the god that made this system is doing but I can't be sure. I am not sure if he can even get through this barrier." She then asked me "why do you want to meet the nightmare." I replied, "it's mostly a feeling but that feeling tells me she is one of the feelings that can help save this world. Her plan likely hasn't added in all the new factors I have gathered but she can help me. I have a feeling she might just be one of your students."

Shun pov

It was after our teacher left, the three of us reconnected with our former friends. We found out pretty much most of the group got to stay as the same genders and the elves left the reincarnations alone and pretty much only gave them enough to make their own farm. Only two of our other former classmates had really any experience and could aid us in the battle to come. When asked about Katerina, I just told them she was very powerful and known for solving a dark magic related issue at our school but even I wasn't sure of all her limits and powers, but I had a feeling we would need her to help in the battle against Sophia and Hugo.

The next day, Katerina came over, helped all the crops grow extra large and fast and then used said crops for a massive feast. While the other reincarnations stared in awe as she wrote down a list and said "that is my secret fertilizer and how to make it. I will work on more stuff to help with your farming later on." I had only heard about how good this girl was at nature magic and how the Claes lands had some of the best crop turnout of any area nearby but seeing what she did was amazing. After that she said, "Hugo's army is near."

Katerina pov

I soon contacted Al via her version of the BB phone and said, "did you get all the data BB collected from the elf village." She replied with "yeah, with everything you gave me so far, I summoned a few servants to help rebuild the scion so that we can enter the lostbelts. Between the knowledge your friends have and Da Vinci and Telsa, we should have it done very soon." I replied try to get it done soon. the elf village is on the verse of invasion, and I am going to need help with evacuating at least thirty people." Al said "we can only do so much I can get it done in two days max, but I may be able to finish in one if, but we will have to finish the work on arrival into the first lostbelt. the data you sent shows the elves took something from the lostbelt we will likely need back to fix this world in the best way possible." I replied "I know but until the battle goes down, I can't steal it back."

Shun pov.

It was the next day that I thought about what was happening as my brother's former party member told me we still had a few more days until the battle. I knew most of my party couldn't really do widespread attacks. But I wasn't sure of Katerina could do or the adventuring members of our class were. It was with those adventurers we got to see what they could do and how strong the barrier was. at the same time Katerina seemed to look at the barrier and not share what she saw it was likely she didn't trust those two adventurers. It was when Katia suggested there could be a traitor, I figured why Katerina wasn't saying anything.

It was after that Oka told the non-reincarnations about our status and how our old world didn't have levels or monsters, but Katerina said "the old world has monsters you just never saw them. one of the two beings that now make up the current Katerina used to fight monsters. I can also say many of the gods or administrators in this current world came from our old world." She then told us Hugo was being used by a higher power that was likely one or more of the administrators. We then figured some of the other students could be on the other side. But Katerina seemed provide tactics to help in the battle but not seem to trust the elves.

It wasn't long before we checked the portal in to learn the last unaccounted-for student had snuck in and had a very ninja skill set and then destroyed the teleporter. It wasn't much longer than the barrier fell, and we had to prepare for the battle to come. The elves did their best to hold up the coming army then when I saw Katerina, she had what looked like a smart phone and said, "we need support now." I then watched as my teacher tried to fight off Hugo and wasn't doing well, I knew with that I would have to take him down.

Chapter end

The next chapter will have the final faceoffs of this stage of the story and pave the way for the next stage to come.

But first Ichigo and Rukia will make the best of the days off they have a spend some time as a couple
