This is the story of love on the ship Enterprise and what Spock could have found.

Eight years ago, Captain Kirk survived the events of Star Trek: Generations and is now serving as the captain of the USS Constitution in the 24th century. Meanwhile, Ambassador Spock has returned to Romulus in his continuing mission to reunite Romulus and Vulcan. Now they are brought back together when the Romulan government is overthrown in a coup (following Star Trek: Nemesis).

The Enterprise is called away from a research mission to act as representatives of the Federation and sign a trade agreement with the planet Reskar. The welcome quickly turns foul, leaving Kirk and Spock stranded on a hostile planet.
