Jack works for the Police Department, but Elizabeth is currently looking for a new job. Jack was previously married until his wife passed away, leaving him with his infant son, Matthew. Both Jack and Elizabeth are looking for a new relationship and are excited to proceed with this new relationship together. I hope you enjoy!

Jack Thornton moves to Hamilton just before he begins his senior year in high school in this modern day story. His father, Tom, begins work for a shipping tycoon, William Thatcher. Jack meets Elizabeth before school starts. Their first meeting didn't go well. Will this drive them apart or draw them together?

Elizabeth follows Charles back to Hamilton after he proposes to her in the schoolhouse. Charles and Jack think she has accepted Charles' proposal of marriage. Is this all a misunderstanding? Can Jack and Elizabeth find their way back to each other after her indecisiveness? This story is set in the time frame of the show. However, the storyline differs from it.

"I've met charmers like him before. The flower soon withers on the vine." Elizabeth said those words to Abigail shortly after Lucas' arrival in Hope Valley. About a year of marriage and Elizabeth starts to realize the truth of those words. However, when she finally hits rock bottom, the hand held out to her in love is one of the last ones she would expect.
