"Mmhhmm," hummed Machi as washed dishes and stared outside the window. The black kitten gazes at her cheerful face until a little bubble pops on the kitten's nose. Wiping off the nose, return to gazing at Machi. She was happy about something. A little too happy. After putting away the clean dishes, she walked to her kitchen table to check on her cupcake baking sheet. She picks up the sheet, shakes it side to side, and smiles with satisfaction at the outcome of her dough.
Next Machi opens the oven door and gently places the baking sheet on the rack. "Here it goes," said Machi, closed the oven door. She dusted her hands together then washed her hand at the sink.
~Buuuuzzzz, Buuuuzzzzzz~
The cell phone rang and vibrated on the table counter.
"Coming~," said Machi using the towel to dry her hands. The clunk and click of her high heels echo in the quiet kitchen. She grabs her cellphone.
"Hisoka," Machi said, "When will you be here?"
"Soon, Machi, soon," reply Hisoka
"I bake something for us,"
"What is it?"
"Cupcakes," said Machi slightly twitching side to side with a thin smile across her face, "It's my first time baking cupcakes, so far, my dough looks fine,"
"Send a picture to me,"
"Not until I'm done,"
"Aaaahhh," sighed Hisoka, "I can't wait to come home to you and cupcakes," Machi blushed and nodded.
"Kiss me through the phone," Hisoka said, sweetly.
"Mmmm,"
"Good girl, I will be home soon," He said and hung up the call. She scrolls through her cellphone and checks the online cupcake ingredients. I'm so nervous about the decoration part. Machi shook her head from side to side to dispel the doubtful thought. Machi gently placed the cellphone on her chin. What would we do with the leftovers?
Machi breathed deeply and slowly exhaled then she looked to the oven. The glow orange lit in the oven and the loud sound of the oven. Fifteen minutes left before the cupcakes are ready. She went to the bedroom, laid out the blankets neatly on the bed, fluffed the pillows, and picked up the books off the carpet floor. On the right side of the bed is a small bookcase and stacks the books then she analyzes the bookcase counter, and glides her fingers across. Dust. She glides open the walk-in closet door, reaches on top for a yellow folded duster, and unfolds the duster.
She dusts the window blinds, bookcase countertop, and a large drawer. Stop in front of a small dumpster, press the release button on the duster handle and the top handle fell in.
She smiles with satisfaction and returns to the kitchen.

The cell phone alarm rang. She taps on the screen to stop the alarm then head over to the oven. Gliding in the oven mitten, next she opens the door handle and pulls out the cupcake sheet. Gently she placed them on the table. Time to decorate. She took off the oven mitten and began to take out the ingredients from the fridge. The black kitten follows Machi, pressing its body on her ankles and meowing for her attention.
"In a minute," Machi said looking down at the kitten with her hands full of small canisters of editable decorations. She places the canisters all down on the table and then bends down to pet the kitten.
"I didn't forget your meal," said Machi.
"Meow,"
Machi rubs the kitten's chin and gently gives head scratches. She washes her hands at the sink, next grabs a box of kitten dry food out from the cabinet and pours it into the small pet bowl on the floor. She changes the water bowl as well. The hungry kitten came to the food bowl and chow down.
"Allow me to work," Machi said. She washed her hands once more and began to decorate the cupcakes. Scoop the whipped cream into the pastry bag, fold and seal the end, and attach a Wilton tip. Next, gently squeeze the pastry bag, and the whipped cream forms a lovely swirl on top of each cupcake, adding strawberries and raspberries to the whipped cream and orange editable decoration.
"All done," said Machi, "Now, let's see how they taste," she grabbed one of the strawberry cupcakes and inserted a straw into the cupcake.
She sucks through the straw. Nothing came up the straws. Machi disappointed. The edible drinking straw made a nice appeal but was useless to taste the cupcake, oh well. Lastly, she snapped a picture and sent it to Hisoka as a promise.
