Chapter I:

Heaven and Earth

I will tell you of the beginning.

It has been some time since his departure from Konoha, six years to be precise. He was weak then, both in body and spirit. No one cared what happened to him, he was just another orphan from the Kyubi attack, a bitter reminder of a time many would rather forget.

They didn't know that the very beast that almost razed the Village to the ground was sealed inside him. The Third decided against his father's wishes and kept it a secret, one reason why Naruto was thankful. Of course, being a Biju's container had left some small marks on his appearance, three whisker marks had once adorned each of his cheeks.

Back then, the people of Konoha simply ignored them, for all they knew, he could be a descendant of some long-forgotten Clan that worked with animals, just like the Inuzuka. His current change in appearance, however, would be more noticeable and would meet with colder reception.

Not like he cared, the opinion of mongrels didn't matter to him.

Slitted eyes, the color of rich blood looked at the Village in the Leaf. Luxurious clothes, made out of the finest of silk and golden jewelry covered his well-sculpted body that many would kill for.

It was unusual for anyone in the Shinobi world to wear fancy clothes, unless they were totally confident in their abilities, or were arrogant beyond measure.

Uzumaki Naruto was a mixture of both.

He was extremely arrogant, treating almost everyone as nothing more than trash under his heels, but his arrogance was warranted. He was powerful, extremely powerful and while he would love to say that it was all on his own merit, he had to admit that without the Masterpiece of Fuinjutsu which he inherited, his ascend to his current power would be set back by a few years.

The Seal in question was the 'Gate of Babylon', a piece of Fuinjustu that was in his Clan for generations, each generation always expanding and trying to finish the Seal, but none of them were able to. That is, until his mother had gotten her hands on it, and with help from his Father, who was a master of Space-time Fuinjustu, they were able to finally finish Uzumaki Clan's Magnum Opus.

The blond could remember the day of gaining his inheritance like it was yesterday. He couldn't allow himself to forget this day, it was, after all, the first time he met his mother.

Heaven and Earth split, nothingness congratulated creation,

A six-year-old Naruto opened his eyes, shielding them from the bright rays of light, and looked around. He was in a clearing filled with flowers of all colors. He had no idea how he got here, the last thing he remembered was coming back from Ichiraku Ramen where he celebrated with the Third his birthday.

His blue eyes pinned on a woman standing in front of him. What stood out about her was her beautiful crimson hair and purple eyes.

"Naruto, my son,"

He tried to say anything, his mouth opened and closed, but no matter how much he tried to scream, to run and hug her, his body betrayed him and he stood. Motionless, unable to speak.

"Ah, you probably wonder what is happening," The woman-his mother!- spoke with a small serene smile. "I am just a small part of my Chakra, sealed into you for the sole purpose of giving you what is rightfully yours,"

"Where are my manners, my name is Uzumaki Kushina, the last Clan head of the Uzumaki Clan. I would love to speak to you, to tell you how proud I am of you, but there are currently more important matters,"

He wanted to scream that he just wanted to be with her, that nothing else mattered, but his efforts were for naught.

"Naruto, five years before you were born, Jiraiya came to your father and me with a prophecy from the Toads. Unlike his earlier prophecies, this one was straightforward. The old toad Sage saw the end of the Shinobi world. Me and Minato talked for days about this and we had different ideas on how to try and stop it,"

She extended her right hand and a bulky, golden key materialised. She looked for a few moments at it with pride before her eyes went back to the blond.

"This is the 'key'. It allows for usage of the Gate of Babylon, a masterpiece of Fuinjutsu that has been in development for dozen generations by our Clan. I was able to finally finish it and while I didn't have it for long, so able to seal only a few things inside myself. The primary function of the Gate of Babylon is to seal any items you can infuse your Chakra within a vault that is outside the time and space. You will be able to summon anything from the vault in the same state that you sealed it.

For example, I sealed a Kunai imbued with Futon Chakra in the Gates and when I summon it, whether to my hand or to shoot it, the Futon Chakra will be still there. That is not everything of course, I have sealed everything that the Uzumaki Clan owned, scrolls, money, ownership deeds, chronicles, it's all in the Vault, so use it wisely," She stopped, looking slightly apprehensive about what she was about to say before sighing.

"Inside the Vault, there are two artifacts that are considered Legendary. One of them is the Chains of Heavens, an imprint of the Uzumaki bloodline, Enkidu. Usually, they manifest only in every second pure-blooded Uzumaki, so the chances for you to have them naturally are low. Instead, I have my Chains inside the Fuin right after Minato sealed the Kyubi in you, so use them wisely.

The second artifact, well, honestly I am not sure what to make of it. It has been an Uzumaki heirloom, a Regalia to show who the Clan head was. There were records of it being a mighty weapon, but not one of the scrolls described how to use them, however, I am sure you will be able to figure it out. After all, you are our son and I know you will succeed where we failed

Hopefully, it will be enough to help you save the world. A heavy burden, but this is the Uzumaki way of dealing with problems. We do things on our own without outside influence. Naruto, oh my sweet little Naru, you came from a proud Lineage, from a Clan once blessed by gods. I know it will be hard, sometimes you might hate me and Minato for putting such burdens on you, but there is no one else we can trust this with, but our son. I know you will succeed, I know you will become a pillar of strength for the people and carry them through these difficult times. Remember that no matter what path you will choose, we will always love you,"

The next moment, Naruto woke up, his breath ragged, his body sticking with sweat, and feeling lightheaded. He felt weight in his right hand and when his blue eyes looked what it was, he found the Key held before by Kushina.

The speech by his mother revealed a lot of things to the blond. Who his parents were, where they are, and of the burdens he had to carry. For a moment, he wanted to cry, to scream how unfair it was

Back then, Naruto didn't understand what gift he had been given. Better yet, in the beginning, he doubted that the piece of Fuinjutsu would be able to help him become strong, not to mention save the world.

My Sword of Rupture cleaved the world.

A few after having gained access to the 'Key', Naruto left a note to The third, notifying him about his departure. Without a second of hesitance, the blond left the Village behind.

He had one objective in mind, to collect as many treasures in his vault as he could while training with all the instructions and scrolls in the Gate of Babylon.

For the next six years, Naruto traveled the continent, training, collecting weapons, learning to understand the Gate better, and learning how to utilize it in a fight.

The first year was mostly send in the Fire country, where the blond trained his body and walked from city to city, visiting every weapon shop and haggling with every merchant whenever he found something he liked. The Uzumaki Fortune was large, but not infinite, luckily Naruto had a talent for money.

Good deals, gambling, and investments.

Whenever the blond dealt with money, he always profited.

At the end of the year, he had a sizeable armory of weapons of all kinds and there was even more money in the Vault than before. His physical strength, speed, and endurance were also coming along nicely for his age and so, by the second year, Naruto decided it was time to try the Gate of Babylon out in action.

Bandits, pirates, smugglers.

Naruto spared none of them, all meeting the same fate by his weapons. Whatever stuff they had was taken if deemed valuable or interesting enough, although weapons were taken so long as they were in good condition.

It was also during the second year of his Pilgrimage that the blond realized a massive flaw in his usage of the Gate. Before, he shot the real weapons from portals at his enemies, the power behind them always destroying the weapons, forcing Naruto to continue to acquire new weapons or risk leaving his vault empty.

Then, one day when looking over the scrolls that his mother sealed in the Fuinjustu, he found instructions on the 'Shadow Clone Jutsu' and studied it, training for hours without a break in hopes of learning it with a plan in mind. As the hours passed, he was successful, but it was merely a stepping stone to what he wanted to achieve.

With the knowledge of the Shadow Clone Jutsu, he was able to duplicate the same effect on his weapons. By utilizing The Gate of Babylon with the Shadow Clone Justu, he was able to duplicate weapons from his vault and shoot their copies, without losing any firepower.

Still, to achieve this, a lot of focus was needed and this was reflected in how many Gates the blond could open. Wherein before he was able to open up to twenty, the amount was cut down by half and while it was regrettable, Naruto still thought that not having to worry about his treasures was more than worth it.

This allowed the blond to seal away only the best of weapons, cutting back on the amount of money he had to spend on new additions to his collection. That also meant he didn't need to acquire more money and could focus more on training and raiding bandit camps.

By the third year, the blond boy decided he was ready to venture outside the Fire Nation, to gain more experience, knowledge, and power. He still hunt down any bandits and pirates he heard about, as well as searched for any fine trinkets, weapons, and treasures to add to his collection, but the overall goal was different.

He spent the time training and reading, more exactly about Legendary and Mythical treasures. The Elemental nations were full of myths and legends, some from the Shinobi Era and many from before that. He looked for any leads, whether from merchants, libraries, or the Uzumaki chronicles, intent on finding as many as possible.

He went as far as to visit old Shrines, enter dungeons and catacombs, listen to old people that were called crazy, and follow their words. From the legendary underground cities in the Land of Wind to the ancient cave cities in the Land of Stone, through the mythical peaks of the mountains in the Land of Lighting, up to the underwater shrines of the Land of Water and divine temples in the Land of Fire.

Naruto ventured all around the nations, his pilgrimage leading him to see a side of the forgotten world, that only a few in the current times would even hear about. And it was worth it, from swords wielded by tyrannical rulers, spears engraved with ancient runes, armors made out of mythical beast's hides, to scrolls of wisdom in languages long forgotten and treasures once cursed, in the fourth and fight year his Vault was filled with treasures of the highest caliber.

He took everything that was of value and claimed it as his own. By the time he was eleven years old, he believed himself to be one of the, if not the richest person on the continent, the worth of his treasures together with the amount of money and pure gold stored in his vault made him easily on par with the Daimyo.

But why would it be any other way? He came from a Clan blessed by the Gods, a powerful Linage that dwarfed most, and being the last of said Clan made him like royalty, didn't it?

Mortar of the stars, heaven's hell is the eve of creation's celebration.

In the sixth year of his grand adventure, Naruto spent a lot of time thinking about one of the relics in his vault. More exactly, about the supposed Regalia of his Clan.

In his opinion, it was a weapon, a sword, but it has an abnormal shape that doesn't match what would normally be classified as something specialized like a sword. While it has a grip, handguard, and is the same length as a longsword, the section that should contain a blade deviates from the normal form of an edged weapon. The "blade" itself and the tip of the sword, spun in a spiral shape, are dull. It has the shape of a cylindrical, drill-shaped pillar made up of three independent segments engraved with dull red cuneiform lettering.

For the longest time, researched any mentions of a weapon like this, but could find none. A few times, he wanted to give up, but something in the back of his head, like a quiet voice always told him to keep going, to learn what it was.

After almost a year of work, he stumbled upon a hint by accident. He was traveling through the harsh deserts in the Land of Winds when he found an old and very damaged shrine dedicated to a goddess. Again, something urged him to go inside, a small, female voice filled with excitement told him-demanded!- of him to go inside.

And so he did only to find a single ancient scroll on an altar. The paper looked ready to rip at any moment, yet he unrolled it and read its contents, forever changing the fate of the elemental nations.

And this is how he found himself again in his mindscape, but this time he came on his own violation. The great Gates that held the Kyubi at bay for the past decade wide open.

Said beast was right in front of him, its evil presence and powerful Chakra would bring any human to their knees yet in front of the Biju, floating in the air was an eleven-year-old Naruto, an excited grin on his face as countless golden portals shot weapons of all kind at the beast.

"Foul beast! Submit!" The area where the Kyubi stood before exploded in fire and smoke, obliterating the ground. An angry roar cleared the smoke and orange three tails flew at the blond.

Swords made out of gold, silver, and iron met the Kyubi's tails, creating another explosion and accomplishing their objective of guarding the Uzumaki.

Naruto was forced to flee his current position as the Kybui jumped and tried to squash him with its weight. As he landed, more weapons, all of them famed in legends of all kinds shot at the beast. This time he shot his most precious treasures, some of them known for killing demons, others for killing gods. When the smoke cleared, blue eyes narrowed in annoyance and another wave of projectiles was send

'Tsk, no matter how much damage I sih out, it manages to regenerate before I have a chance to pin it down, I guess it is time to bring out the heavy guns,'

The Biju were revealed around the continent as demons, gods of destruction, and natural disasters. They were supposedly created by the Sage of six paths, a god in the eyes of many Shinobi and that is something the blond hoped to capitalize on.

'If the Biju were created by a god, it is possible they hold some kind of divinity,'

Golden portals formed around the Kyubi in all positions before chains shot out. They ripped through the demon's limbs and tails before binding the beast completely. A desperate howl shook the mindscape and for a second Naruto froze. A small arrogant smirk formed on his face when he saw the immobilized Biju and he couldn't contain his laughter.

"He. Hehe. Hahaha!" The last Uzumaki walked slowly in Kyubi's direction, his laughter causing the beast to struggle even more but without any effect.

"The divine Chains of heaven, Enkidu. Supposedly, the strength and durability of the chain grow stronger with the target having higher Divinity, and seeing how you can barely move, means you have quite the divinity. Rejoice, beast! You shall be granted the honor of strengthening me even further!"

A single golden portal appeared above the blond's hand from where he took out the Uzumaki regalia. He observed it for a second before his blue eyes narrowed at the beast. With all his might, he stabbed the weapon into the Biju, ignoring its howls of pain and anger.

Power surged around the blond as the Biju's Chakra started being absorbed into the regalia. A blinding explosion forced him to close his eyes and when they opened again, there was not a single trace of the almighty Kyubi. Instead, the once dull red engravement shone in bright crimson and the three segments started to spin, the middle segment spinning clockwise and the top and bottom segments spinning counterclockwise.

Naruto looked at the sword, feeling Kyubi's Chakra begin to intervene with his own. He felt like he spent hours waiting, merely looking at the sword before the once Demoic Chakra was fully absorbed by him and made his own. At this moment, he felt a link, an unbreakable connection form between him and the sword, making him grin.

He lifted it in the air and power ripped through the mindscape, his eyes bleeding from blue to a crimson red with black slits, while red tattoos formed on his torso.

"Your mood must be sour after being awakened from your slumber, but I am finally here. You have waited for too long, but I will require your help in my mission for a new age for mankind is on its way, Ea!"

In the real world, the shrine where Naruto found the ancient scroll erupted in a great explosion, leaving nothing but a huge crater behind. All around the world, all people looked in his direction, feeling a surge of divine exploding power in the air.

I will awaken the breath of the planet,

Deep in a forest in the Land of Fire, a girl around the age of twelve looked toward's Land of Wind, from where a rush of powerful energy surgery throughout the whole of Elemental Nations.

She had been wandering the Nations ever since she could remember, it was a task given to her by her father, to meet with people, to get to know them and help them whenever they were in need.

Her father told her that she might not know why she had to do this, but a day would come when all her questions and doubts would be answered.

A small, serene smile formed on her lips and she broke into a sprint.

Her destiny, her reason for existing has finally shown itself and it was time to meet them.

For I walk with humanity.

At the border of the Land of Fire stood two people, one man, and one woman.

One, clad in golden armor with blue accents and a red cape around his waist, the other in a simple white tunic, not even a pair of shoes on her feet. Golden hair, standing like a flame, the other's beautiful long hair that shimmers with a deep red color.

The man is the very embodiment of pride and arrogance, and the woman a being humble and modest. One with crimson, slitted eyes, the other with cold, almost steely blue eyes. One with a heavy frown and the other with a serene smile.

They were like night and day, yet, something beckoned both of them, whispering in their ear that they were somehow, no matter how unlikely it was, the same.

Their eyes met and when neither yielded, hell was unleashed.

Now you shall die and be silent,

Therefore,

The midnight sky was lit with explosions, and shining projectiles, and filled with the sound of weapons clashing.

Two twelve year old were staring at each other.

One, levitating high in the air, his aura demanding respect and servitude.

The second, standing barefooted on the ground, the air around her welcoming all living creatures.

High in the sky, countless golden portals were glowing gold and hundreds of weapons flying at high speeds toward the girl on the ground.

On the ground, weapons seemingly rose from around her and headed towards the boy, each meeting her opponent's treasures midway.

Some exploded, and others were sent away from their course, yet the battle continued, their eyes staring deeply at each other.

"Hmph!" The boy in armor grunted and the assault halted for a moment, the girl's smile became even wider and the weapons stopped coming from the earth. "You have entertained me long enough, mongrel! Before I finish you, I shall give you the opportunity to introduce yourself before me,"

"My name is Mito and what might be your name?"

"Naruto," With another word, a golden portal appeared above his hand and he took Ea into his hand. "I shall give you the ultimate honor of dying at my greatest treasure!"

Unimaginable amounts of Chakra started to build around the sword-like weapon, its three segments started spinning and creating wind strong enough to topple trees.

At the same time, Mito gathered all her Chakra in her body. The effects of her aura made plants and trees around her blossom.

The world yielded to such great output of power between the two, earth and heaven shook, all humans and animals around the globe felt the power, reminding them of the event a few hours ago, but much more potent than before.

Naruto swung his sword down, and Mito shone and flew to meet in in the air.

"I shall perform this final blow as a parting gift to you!"

"That's...not bad,"

"Enuma Elish!"

A Team of ANBU appeared behind him, making him smirk, before standing up and dusting his pants.

"Hokage-sama is expecting you," Naruot chuckled and started walking towards the edge of the Hokage monument.

"I have been waiting for 15 minutes for his invitation, next time be quicker about it," The blond said over his shoulder and jumped toward the Hokage tower. The team of ANBU rushed forward.

A jump from this height would kill even the most experienced Jonin and the blond took it without a second thought. They looked over the edge and to their surprise, they saw Naruto levitating down the tower looking at them, hands in his pockets and a smug smirk on his face, that said 'Surprised?'.

'It's time to begin,'
