Chapter 13: Get Your Hans Dirty
The ballroom of the castle, which is normally the place for fun parties and important gatherings, was now going to be the site of a grisly execution. King Hans was now going to personally execute his ex-fiancée, Princess Anna as vengeance for foiling his plans to conquer Arendelle. "It's time. Put her head in the stock.", Hans instructed. Christian and Leif did as they were told because they still had no control over their own actions. "In case you're completely oblivious to these facts, pretty boy, my kingdom will be worried about me and my family and eventually send someone to come looking for us. Also, when they do find out about all this, how do you expect to get away with it?", Anna asked. "I thought all that out. I'll say that after you got here, Elsa went ice crazy again and attempted to kill everyone in the castle and you and the others were her accomplices. Then we arrested you all for treason and said it was justified to sentence you to death because you said you wanted us all dead.". Hans said. "That's insane! Nobody will believe that!", Anna yelled. "I think they will. Everyone in the neighboring countries knows about what happened last year with Elsa so I'm sure they won't be surprised to hear something like that. Also, I'll have my brothers to back me up on that.", Hans said smugly. "They'll only back you up because you mind-fucked them!", Anna yelled. "Quiet!", Hans yelled. "It's official. You've become mad with power Hans.", Bertram said. "That goes for you too, Bertram. Just be happy I'm letting you live after betraying me.", Hans told his servant. "How can you even consider doing that when I'm the only friend you've ever actually had?", Bertram said. "I'm the king! The king doesn't need friends!", Hans boldly stated. Anna's head was put in the stock and Hans drew out his sword. "Any last words, Princess?", Hans asked. "Yeah. Fuck you!", Anna said. Hans raised his sword in the air and was about to kill her right before the ball room doors burst open. "Anna!", Elsa screamed in horror as she saw her sister about to be decapitated. "Hans, stop! You have to let her go!", Jacob shouted. Hans stopped what he was doing and turned his attention towards the 6 intruders that came into the room. "Well, look who came crawling back here. I knew you would! I knew you couldn't rest until you came barging in here to try to rescue Anna.", Hans said. "Listen, we all know the truth now.", Jacob said. "And what truth is that?", Hans asked. "We know about all the abuse and trauma you suffered as a kid. We know everything your parents and brothers did to you. That's why you're doing all this.", Jacob said. "You don't know a damn thing about me! All you should know is that you're all going to pay for having me locked up in the first place. As if I haven't felt locked up enough prior to that.", Hans said. "Listen, Hans. It doesn't have to be like this. If anyone knows what it's like to feel locked up, it's me. Just let Anna go and we can talk about this. We can work something out.", Elsa pleaded. "Elsa's right. Just put the sword down and we can figure something out.", Jacob said. "Like Hell, I will! You're just going to have me locked up again! Nobody wants to help me! No one ever did!", Hans yelled. Hans pointed his sword at Anna who was still in the stock and said, "This is what happens to people who fuck with me, Mankos! They get what's coming to them! All I know is I finally have the power I always wanted and I'm not going to let some goody two shoed interlopers get in my way!". "You assholes kill them all!", Hans ordered his brothers. Anders and the others did as they were told and attacked the heroes. Hans ran away while he had the chance and disappeared. "We can handle these guys, you go get Hans.", Elsa told Jacob. "On it.", Jacob said and left to chase after the villain. The brothers were all coming towards the heroes with their own swords drawn and ready to attack. Elsa concentrated and channeled her energy into one big icy blast that she let loose on the brothers. They were all knocked out in one strike and almost froze over the entire room. "Pariah, use that stuff to break Hans' hold on them. The hobgoblin did as he was told and used his magic dust on the brothers that should restore their willpower and make them not so compliant to Hans anymore. Elsa, Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf went to free Anna and Bertram of their bonds. "Are you two okay?", Kristoff asked. "Yes, I'm fine. Thank you.", Bertram said. Once Anna was free, she immediately hugged her sister and said, "I knew you guys would come back and save me just in the nick of time.". "I'll always come back for you, Anna. I wouldn't let anything ever happen to you.", Elsa told Anna as she hugged her back. Anna then hugged and kissed Kristoff lovingly. "Just glad you're okay. We're sorry we didn't notice you were missing sooner.", Kristoff said. "It's not your fault. They grabbed me and Bertram quick and quiet before we made it out of here.", Anna said. "Hey, guys. They're waking up.", Olaf said as he wanted to let them know of the brothers waking up. They were all groggy as if they woke up from a deep sleep. "What the hell happened?", Tobias asked confused. "Why are we in the ballroom?", Christian asked who sounded just as confused. "I have no idea. The last thing I remember is having some of that champagne Hans poured for us and then it's all a blank.", Anders said. "That's because your little brother poured something into it that made you guys his slaves.", Elsa said. Anders and his brothers all were surprised to see Queen Elsa of Arendelle in front of them as they had no recollection of meeting her and the others in the first place due to being mind-controlled. "Queen Elsa! It's a pleasure to have you here, Your Majesty! But why are you here?", Anders asked as he bowed down to the queen. "You guys invited us here.", Anna said. "Invited you here? What are you talking about, Princess Anna?", asked Leif. "Well, I should say Hans invited us. He got hold of some kind of brainwashing magic junk to make you his slaves and sign away your throne to him. Then he lured us here into a trap to kill us.", Anna explained. Anders and the others all became furious after hearing this. "That scheming maniacal little shit! Where is he?", Anders asked. "He ran away, but my boyfriend is after him now.", Elsa said. Meanwhile, Jacob was trying to catch up to Hans who ran much faster than him. He made his way into the treasure room which had all of the kingdom's valuable treasures in it in which the entire room was lit with candles and had tons of gold and jewels. "Hans? Come out! You can't hide forever!", Jacob yelled out to the evil prince who was still no where in sight. After a moment of silence, a furious yelling came in where Hans attempted to slash at Jacob with his sword. Jacob quickly dodged it at the last minute. "You shouldn't have had followed me! Now no one can save you!", Hans angrily said. "Look, man, just put the sword down and we can talk about this!", Jacob said trying to reason with the guy he claimed to hate for almost a year, but after learning about his abusive past, began to feel sympathy for. "That's not happening! Neither you or your girlfriend will take this away from me!", Hans said as he swung his sword again. Jacob kept dodging the swings as best as he could without getting cut. To even the odds, he grabbed a sword from the wall and began to clash swords with Hans. "Even though I'm starting to feel sympathy for you after learning about your past, you still have to be stopped!", Jacob said while getting his sword ready. "You say that like you have a choice.", Hans said. They began clashing swords with each fighter trying to gain the upper hand. Hans obviously had experience in sword fighting because he was trained to, but Jacob had no experience in fencing or anything like that, but still tried his best to keep up the pace of when the blades clashed. Eventually they both knocked the swords out of one another's hands which led them to resort to using their fists. Hans punched Jacob square in the face which made him fall flat on his ass. "Did that hurt, Jacob? You gonna go cry to your girlfriend so she can ice it for you?", Hans mocked him. That talk just made him angry and he got back up and began wailing on him. Both of them held their ground and continued to fist fight. Punch after punch as they both became tired and their faces more bloodied. "What's wrong, Jake? Feeling a little tired? You won't feel anything ever again after I kill you and your precious ice queen.", he said while threatening Elsa. Whenever someone threatens his beloved queen, that's when he goes off the rails. "Don't you dare threaten her, you bastard!", he yelled. Jacob then got the upper hand by delivering a strong stream of punches to Hans' face. Hans eventually lost his footing and tumbled into the wall where he knocked a candle out of its holder and it fell on the floor. The flame touched a curtain right next to the treasure which caused it to burst into flames. The fire spread very rapidly and smoke began to fill the room. Once both of them were made aware of what's going on, Hans took notice that the fire was beginning to envelop his family treasure which is now officially his since he made Anders give the role of king to him. "My treasure!", Hans yelled as started to run towards the bright orange flames to save the gold and jewels. "What are you doing? You'll die!", Jacob called to Hans, but he didn't hear him. Hans was already into the fire gathering as much treasure as he could in his arms and Jacob couldn't reach him. He was able to see a rope in the corner which he grabbed and hooked into onto the villain. "Stop!", Jacob yelled as he got hold of Hans with the rope. "Time to go home, Jake!", Hans shouted. "I'm trying to save you!", he yelled. Hans took out a knife he had in his pocket and cut the rope. The severing of the rope made Jacob lose his balance and fall on the floor. The room continued to be engulfed in flames while Hans kept collecting as much of his treasure as he could. Eventually, the fire burned through the ceiling which caused it to collapse right onto Hans. Jacob watched in horror as this happened and couldn't just let him die even after all he's done. "No!", he shouted and then ran into the fire to rescue him. The fire made everything hard to see as he continued to search for Hans. He did end up coming upon the beam that had landed on Hans and began to lift it, but it was too heavy. After the first couple tries, he put all the strength he had into lifting up the huge beam to get Hans out from under there. Jacob was able to roll it off of Hans who was unconscious and try to get him out of there. Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Sven, Olaf, Pariah, Bertram, and the 12 brothers were searching for the two of them unaware of what was currently going on. "Does anyone else smell smoke?", Kristoff asked as they all began to get a whiff of a chunk of the castle burning. They ended up coming upon the treasure room which was entirely in flames. "The treasure! All of our family's gold and jewels are in there!", Phillip yelled. "And probably Jacob!", Elsa yelled. Elsa began to use her ice powers to put out the flames and search for her boyfriend. "Jacob! Jacob! Please answer me!", Elsa said as she was coughing while putting out as much fire as she could with her ice. As her ice began to reduce the fire, she saw Jacob carrying an unconscious Hans on his back. Jacob honestly wasn't that strong, but he put everything he had into making it so Hans didn't burn alive. Elsa and the others were relieved to see he was okay. After Elsa managed to put out the rest of the fire, Jacob dropped Hans onto the floor and collapsed alongside him. Hans began to come to and was coughing like no tomorrow as was Jacob. Hans looked over at Jacob and was surprised to realize he saved him. His brothers would most likely not have had saved him from a fire. But his foe risked his life to save his. "You saved me.", Hans said to Jacob. "Yeah. I guess I did.", Jacob said. "Why? You could've just left me to die in there and then I would be out of you and your friends' hair forever?", Hans said while still coughing. "I couldn't do that. You may be an asshole, but you don't deserve to die. There's no way I would have just left you.", Jacob sincerely told Hans. There was just a moment of silence as both of them lied there to catch their breath as the fire had been iced over and it was safe to say that this debacle had come to a close.
