The group sat with one another in the restaurant of the Hotel. They exchanged looks between themselves. This was starting to get out of hand.
'If the Magic Council have told Laki and Lisanna that they would get transport home, why would they shut down all other transport in Fiore?' Gray exchanged looks with both Natsu and Lucy who both had the same serious expression on as him.
'Gray's right Erza. We don't know what is going on in Onibus Town. The Magic Council have lied about things! They are lying again now!' Lucy slammed her hands on the table, raising to her feet.
Before Erza could even respond, Natsu who had been quiet through the conversation stood, slamming his fist on the table, breaking it, and throwing their food and drinks in all different directions. 'I don't like this! Let's go to Onibus Town and get our family back! I'm sick of all this talk! Something's going on and we need to find out!'
Erza, expressing anger at the rest of her shortcake lying on the ground, wrapped her arm around Natsu's neck pulling her into her chest plate. 'I said no! You heard what Mira and Master have said! We will find out what is going on from reception. Then I will contact Mira and see if they have heard anymore from Lisanna and Laki. If we go barging into Onibus Town, we could end up disrupting the Magic Council's plan and we are already on thin ice with them'.
Erza, Juvia, and Carla approached the reception desk ahead of them. Erza had banished the boys back to their rooms and put Lucy and Wendy in charge of them whilst they found out more information.
The crowd in front of them had dispersed, leaving a perplexed receptionist behind her desk. The same receptionist that Juvia and Gray had spoken to in the morning. 'H…Hello, if you are here to ask about the latest news bulletin, I am afraid I really don't have any information to tell you. This was all news to us this morning as well.' The young receptionist played nervously with a pen on her desk as she spoke, it was apparent she had some trouble from guests asking previously.
'Thank you, I don't suppose you have had any further information on transport at least, I know the trains aren't going today, but will there be transport made for those travelling home? We hope to leave in the morning, but we have friends in Onibus Town, were anxious to know what is going on.' Erza spoke with a soft tone to the slightly distressed woman. 'I…I called the train station a few times for several the other guests, from what they told me they are also unsure, but they have been told there are no plans to open them anytime soon, we have no other updates on Onibus Town. Please be rest assured we can keep your rooms open for you if you are unable to travel back to your home city.' She gave a nervous smile in which the three women smiled in response.
'Thank you so much, we would appreciate that, we have the hotel room an extra night anyway but just in case of course.' Juvia gave her a kind smile, giving her some jewels in appreciation for her help before heading back to the rooms.
'Looks like someone is having a difficult day.' Carla floated between the two women; arms crossed with a cautious look on her face. 'I have a bad feeling about this, like something bad is coming, I'm usually right when it comes to it as well.' Carla's expression turned downcast as she thought back to her previous premonitions.
'We can only respond to what we know. We will stay in Clover Town another night, split up and ask around again, we'll see if the mayor knows anything more since yesterday. I'm also starting to feel uneasy about all of this.' Erza's expression had changed since this morning, her stubborn expression was changing into one of concern and curiosity.
They reluctantly went back to their rooms that night. Discussing amongst themselves a plan. Lucy, Happy and Natsu would ask around the streets of Clover Town in the morning. Juvia and Gray would visit the Mayor in the morning to see if there were any government updates and Erza, Wendy and Carla would head back to the train station to ask for an update.
Gray and Natsu lay silently in their beds. Neither one of them asleep, not even an argument between them, a tension in the room.
'This aint right. Weve dealt with a lot of things, but I have an uneasy feeling about this one.' Gray spoke mindlessly to himself. Natsu grunting in response.
'There's a weird smell in the air, from Onibus Town, our friends are stuck there and it aint right we can't get to them.' Natsu's stern voice was hushed as he spoke to Gray. The sound of Happy snoring filled the silence in the room.
'I don't care what Erza says tomorrow, if we don't find out anymore information tomorrow, we go to Onibus Town ourselves, Magic Council or not.' Gray turned to Natsu as he spoke. They both nodded in agreement before finally succumbing to dreamless sleep.
In Erza and Lucy's room they were joined by Juvia, Wendy, and Carla. All wearing their pyjamas they sat around the lacrima in the centre of the room.
They have just spoken to Mira and Master. Agreeing not to tell Natsu and Happy what was discussed.
'They would act too rashly. We will do more scoping tomorrow as discussed and wait to see what Master comes back with after his meeting with Mest.' Erza's statement was final before the girls went to their beds.
