Chapter IV

A/N: Quite a bit has happened since I've updated this. But writing is the one thing that keeps me sane. Thanks go to cowgirlbookworm who has kept me on an even keel throughout the whole thing. I do not know what I would have done without you. Looking forward to seeing what you all think of this. SSD

Will wasn't quite sure what to make of these airplanes just yet. Olivia seemed perfectly used to them, and where she was sitting seemed to have more than enough leg room for her legs.

Orion would not be flying with her. He was not allowed to be in the passenger area for some reason, had to be sedated and was travelling in the cargo area! What if the poor animal woke up during the long flight? He'd be terrified!

Olivia had bought the seat next to her, so he would be able to sit down and not sit through another person. And they'd be able to talk somewhat and not attract unwanted attention.

It was a nonstop flight to Phoenix. Olivia wanted to get back in time for her and her brother's favorite holiday: Halloween. Which would be followed by a holiday celebrated by her sister-in-law's family, Day of the Dead.

"Can you sleep on these airplanes," he asked.

"Some people do. I do sometimes, but not always. I won't be this time, as I have company," Olivia smiled at him.

"If you don't sleep, then what do you do," Will pressed further.

"Read mostly. Take notes. Sometimes there's an in-flight movie. There'll be food and drinks at some point, so I'll do that," she replied.

"How's the food?"

"It depends on the airline. This is British Airways, so it'll be halfway decent. I'm really looking forward to getting back home. I've missed food that wasn't freeze dried or frozen," Olivia groaned.

"I'm looking forward to seeing more of your family besides your uncle. You and Octavian are twins yes? Who's older," he asked.

"He is. By ten minutes. I had more hair though. Our parents weren't expecting two of us," Will noticed Olivia's grin.

He then decided to explore the airplane a bit and prowled towards the cockpit. Will saw Olivia's look of alarm in her eyes. She couldn't do anything and not look crazy. He wanted to see what everything looked like.

There were three people up here. The pilot and copilot obviously, and a third individual whose job Will did not know.

He saw a compass, so there was that still. The only other term he recognized was when the copilot mentioned the rudder.

Will headed back to where Olivia was. She was giving him a dirty look the entire time till he sat down.

"What?"

"If you turn me into a ghost, you're the first person I'm coming after," she snarled.

"They don't even know I'm here, lass," he drawled.

"Sit down and stay! You could've caused a plane crash," she hissed.

"I'm not a dog and it's boring back here," Will groused as he sat in the empty chair.

Octavian was waiting for his twin sister to disembark from her plane. Mercifully the flight was on time, Esperanza was at the baggage claim to get the suitcases, while he and Olivia sorted out acquiring Orion.

Since she was in first class, Olivia would be getting off close to the beginning. And soon he heard that familiar walk.

Soon, his favorite sister had come up to him, dropped her backpack to give him a bear hug.

Once the hug ended, Octavian picked up the backpack; then asked, "How was the flight?"

"Pretty quiet, No turbulence, though the crew complained about a ghost for some reason. Food was alright. Drinks were better," Olivia grinned.

"Well, Grandma Deirdre and Abuela will be wanting to feed you as soon as they get their hands on you. Esperanza is getting the luggage, so we can go get Orion quickly. How'd he handle the ship?"

"Better than I did. Everyone adored him and took care of him when I couldn't," Olivia answered.

Once they got to the special luggage counter, his sister produced her ticket. Soon Octavian heard the barking of his favorite Husky.

"Who's the best boy in the world," Olivia cooed as she reached for her beloved dog.

After several minutes of the both of them loving on the animal and making sure Orion was aware of his surroundings, they went off to find Esperanza, who hopefully had the luggage already.

Sure enough his wife/Olivia's best friend was waiting by the doors with two luggage trolleys.

"Did you bring enough books with you," Esperanza groused. She was smiling though. She knew Olivia all too well.

"Never. You're looking good. My brother keeping you happy or do I need to have Orion chase him around the block a couple of times," his sister asked her best friend as they pushed the carts outside.

"Octavian is keeping me perfectly satisfied. We are doing well, as is everyone else. My job at the hospital is going smoothly," Esperanza updated Olivia.

Soon they were at his truck. All three of them loaded the heavy luggage into the truck bed.

He and his wife got up front. His sister told Orion "Up" to get him into the back seat. However, his younger twin sister then held the door open a little bit longer, almost as if she were waiting for someone to get in.

"Liv, you've been on a ship for far too long. Time to get you home. There's a party in a few hours to welcome you back," Octavian explained as he turned onto the Loop 101.

"Don't forget your swimsuit. The pool is going to be nice," his wife suggested.

"I'll just wear it underneath my clothes for the drive there. It won't be a problem," his twin replied.

Something must have been wrong with the A/C because the truck went about 10 degrees colder. Octavian would have to get it checked.

After enjoying her first bath in a bathtub in months and letting Orion out into his backyard to tear around first, Olivia got into her red two piece bathing suit.

As she was walking down the hall, there was a snarl, "What. On. Earth?" It was Will and he was glaring at her for some reason.

"What's with the glare," she asked as she put on a t-shirt and shorts to cover the swimsuit.

"That red… thing you are wearing. What is it?" The glare only increased.

"It's a swimsuit. Women had them when you were alive." Olivia whistled for Orion, who came trotting in.

"That is not a swimsuit! It barely qualifies as undergarments! And you're going out in public in it," Will spluttered.

"It's only going to be family members. Besides, Esperanza and her cousins are going to be wearing far more revealing swimsuits than me," Olivia chuckled whilst she moved into the garage. Orion popped up into the car.

As she was backing out Will muttered, "You shouldn't be looked at like a piece of meat and leave something to the imagination."

"It's still too hot for my wetsuit. And how do you look at me," Olivia couldn't help but tease.

"I can hardly look at you without wanting to cover you up!"

Olivia had not been joking when she said her sister-in-law and her cousins would be wearing far more revealing swimming attire than her.

He'd decided to go prowling around the area. Other people were in their homes right now, enjoying the evening.

"You're not from around here, are you?"

Will spun around to a Hispanic man in a brown monk's habit. People were walking around him, unaware of his presence and he had a Force Ghost glow!

"I'm… visiting with a friend," he replied carefully.

"Is this friend of yours aware of your presence," the monk asked.

Thinking back to their earlier encounter and discussion in the car, Will answered, "Yes."

"Well, where are they," the monk started looking around.

Will clammed up immediately. He wasn't sure how to explain Olivia or Orion.

"Someone living then? My son, I can more than understand wanting to have someone to follow around, but you need to be able to interact with others," the other man soothed.

"Actually, I can," Will replied with a grin.

This got the monk's attention. "They can see and speak to you?"

"Yes, she can. And her dog can see and likes to interact with me as well," Will was warming up.

"Women are usually the ones with such abilities, though it's not unheard of for men to have them. My name is Ignacio by the way. In life, I was a Francisan monk. I would like to bring some friends of mine along to see if your human's abilities are limited only to you…" Ignacio waited for him to give his name.

"Will," he provided.

"Wait here Will, for me and my friends to arrive."

Soon Ignacio returned with two others. A blonde young woman who appeared to be Olivia's age or slightly younger at the time of her death in a Victorian dress and an older man in a suit. Both with Force Ghost glows.

"Ignacio, you didn't tell me how cute he was," the woman eyed him flirtatiously.

"Demelza behave! He's got a human that might be able to see and speak to us," Ignacio admonished lightly.

"While those two are talking, I'm Virgil. Let's hope your human isn't too upset by three extra ghosts," the older gentleman introduced himself.

Will had a feeling that Olivia was unlikely to be amused.

The musty human brought three more weird smelling humans with him. The female smelled like fire. One of the men smelled like his human's brother sometimes, and the last one smelled like smoke but with other scents in it. They all glowed.

His human was not happy with the musty one. They'd gone off a ways and were both clearly arguing. She had not expected the presence of the other ghosts. Orion decided to move closer to the humans he was familiar with.

"I told you I wasn't sure if I could see other ghosts," his human was irked.

"You most definitely can," Orion's favorite funny smelling human sounded amused.

"I'm not talking to them right now, you are more than enough to deal with!" The last time his human was this irked she hit the person with a curved stick between their legs. She had been playing that game on the ice at the time.

"You're being rude," his human's ghost(?) admonished.

"You are actually the rude one, suggesting I could see them. Turning towards the trio of ghosts, "You three can come back with us, but I'll talk with you tomorrow."

Orion wriggled with pleasure. He had new people to meet!
