Newest chapter: Getting into UA via the recommendation exam is no easy feat, as Setsuna Tokage is finding out firsthand.

286. Setsuna Tokage (Lizardy)

A.N. — My first instinct for this birthday character was to do a gyaru drabble, 'cause when am I going to get another chance at that? But I decided it was too niche, and went with the recommendation angle instead. Not sure serious was the right choice over humor. Happy birthday to Setsuna Tokage!

286. Setsuna Tokage/Lizardy

Setsuna sometimes felt spread too thin while attempting to gain entry into UA's hero course. With her quirk, she was well-versed in doing multiple tasks at once, but even she had limits. UA valued a plus ultra mentality, so Setsuna pushed through her self-imposed barriers... at the cost of feeling detached from her friends and family.

After earning admittance, that sense of distance continued.

None of her classmates compartmentalized trains of thought like she did, so Setsuna felt unnaturally split off from them. Turns out, being a recommended student set her apart just as effectively as her quirk.
