"Woah! This isn't just a town, it might as well be the capital! It's so big!" Blue commented on the spectacular that Red, himself, and Sylvie. The sun finally reached the top of the sky, bouncing heat from it to the Earth. A paved road lead the way down to the city as they stood on a hill. The hill had a nice tree and it was high enough to enjoy a small breeze through the heat. Sylvie's ribbons floated throughout the air as if they didn't have a care in the world. (Which they didn't) Red felt like time had stopped and it felt nice. Though, one thought came through Red's mind, "Why wasn't I a Lucario? I had been one before." Before he could actually think about that, Sylvie finished looking at it, and had told them to "Let's continue to the town. Come on! Last one there is a Slowpoke!"
"Alright! Coming! I'll beat you there Red!" Blue joked, saying it in such a way where it wasn't a competition.
"Alright, sounds good." Red said, starting to run towards the town.
As they ran, they experienced more of the marvel throughout the city. Bustling shops in nearly all the buildings, a crowded sidewalk, alleyways that were taken care of, and had plenty of things to do there. In the middle of it all, was a park that had benches, trees, and everything you'd expect in a park. It really was a beautiful place, until, an explosion happened in one of the tallest towers in the city, happening near the top. All the Pokémon were frightened, and started to panic. Clearly, not an everyday occurrence. Three chunks of the building came tumbling down towards the crowd, plenty of people stood still, stuck due to their fear.
"Move out of the way!" Red ran towards the group of people who were going to get crushed.
"Move!" Red continued, standing right where it would fall, having seconds before it fell. Red put his hands up, trying to catch it, as people stood and watched. Blue tried his best to help, but couldn't. Red, held up the piece of the tower, trying to get all the people out from under the big boulder.
"Clear out of here! Quick! Urg.." Red yelled, as all of the people left. Red unknowing of how to get rid of it, he started to form a Aura Sphere inside of it, instantly exploding, both the boulder, and himself. This sent Red flying away as a piece of rock followed him. This hit him on the head as he was unable to defend himself. Causing him to become unconscious. The last thing he saw was Blue and Sylvie running towards him.
Several hours have passed at this point and Red hasn't woken up yet. Blue was worried, but wasn't showing it. Sylvie had taken Red to a nearby hotel for him to rest, as truly big the city was, it didn't have a hospital. Well, it did, but only for patients with diseases and not stuff that Red was going through. The sun was already setting as Red showed no sign of waking up anytime soon.
"Y'know, if we were back in my world, I could wake him up so fast, yet I have no way of playing that mp3." Blue said, hiding in a shadow. Blue found out how to perform it when rushing Red to a place where he could get healed.
"Hm." Sylvie hummed, lost in thought.
"I say, let's go to bed, it's no use, wasting our energy waiting for him, I trust him." Blue exclaimed, "though, I'm staying in this room."
As Sylvie started walk towards the other room they had rented for the night, Blue asked, "Who or what caused that building to collapse?"
"Valgion. It's a group of Pokémon who want to take over the world." Sylvie responded, seeming completely defeated, her tone and all.
"Valgion?… Hmm.." Blue said
"Is that why, Lucario's home got destroyed? Valgion.. I'm not too interested in saving worlds and whatnot but… I'll leave that up to Red." Blue hummed in his mind as Sylvie walked outside the room. Blue felt drowsy and succumbed to slumber.
The dawn approached the sky as Red began to open his eyes. He saw a shadow on the ground, which was Blue. Oddly enough, the Riolu who just woke up had no bruises nor pain when trying to stand up. The only thing he experienced was soreness from sleeping for too many hours.
"Blue..? Is that you?" Red asked though no one heard him as Blue was fast asleep. Red was tempted to wake him up, but he decided his sleep schedule was trash because Blue was almost always online around 6AM.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
"Huh? Who-" Red asked himself before being cut off by Sylvie entering the hotel room. Immediately answering his question.
"Sylvie?" Red asked even though he already know who it was.
"Yup! Yup! Glad to see you awake Red, had me worried there! Can't have any more terrorists taking my friends again! Um, is Blue awake yet?" Sylvie happily exclaimed then asked.
"Blue's still asleep, why? Are we in a rush?" Red asked after responding to Sylvie's question.
"Yup! Yup! I gotta get these Oran Berries delivered, they are due today. If I don't, we'll get paid less and pops will be mad." Sylvie chirped.
"Ah- okay." Red said
"Well, we gotta wake up Blue. Then, we go deliver your Oran Berries then we go find Lucario. Sound good?" Red asked, making sure that was their plan.
"Yup! Yup!" Sylvie responded.
"Mnhm.. Can you guys tone it down a bit." Blue groans and floats up from his shadow and rubs his eyes.
"Sup, Red. What time is it?" Blue asked, still rubbing his eyes' sleepiness away.
"28'a'clock." Red joked. Hoping that this would confuse him.
"Cool.. uhm.. wait.. no…that can't be right.." Blue confessed.
"Guys, let's gooo! The market won't be open forever!" Sylvie exclaimed, waiting for Red and Blue's interaction to finish.
"Actually, can we get breakfast first, I haven't eaten in 2 days!" Red asked, perfectly timing his stomach's growl.
"Actually, me too! I'd like to try some Pecha berries!" Blue fantasied.
"Pecha berries? They are extremely rare nowadays. Just for one is over 1000 Pokécurren. Only royalty have enough money for it." Sylvie explained. "Yup! Yup! So, don't count on it."
"Aw man. This is all Weakish's fault." Blue muttered.
"Good thing this hotel has free breakfast! Yup! Yup!" Sylvie explained. "Come on, I'm starving as well!"
Soon, they headed downstairs using an elevator that brought them to the first floor where a duo of Pokémon were harassing a Dewott that ran the reception for the hotel.
"You better give us a room or this hotel goes boom! Understood?" A Rhydon yelled over the counter.
A Pinsir stood alongside the Rhydon and yelled, "Yeah, we won't be afraid to even boom your family as well!"
Both Pokémon seemed as if they were extremely powerful and wasn't going to give any craps nor be lenient.
"Hey! What's going on! Why are you harassing this Dewott?!" Red stepped in between the desk and the Pokémon. He put his hands outstretched signifying all Pokémon should calm down.
"Red!" Sylvie shouted, sounding worried.
"Who do you think you are.. Little Riolu, you're weak, you can't do a itty bitty scratch to me." Rhydon yelled
"Oh yeah, the name's Red. Don't think I'm a novice." Red smirked.
"I'll put those words back in your mouth, boy!" Rhydon saw red, even steam coming out of his ears.
Rhydon throws his arm towards the little Riolu as Red dodges the attack. The Pinsir joins in and starts a Quick Attack.
"Woah! not fair, heh, let's make this more fair." Blue yelled as he turned into a shadow on the floor and appeared behind the Pinsir. Without knowing how to perform any moves, Blue just punched the Pinsir causing it to fall onto the ground, then Blue went and punched him once more and caused Pinsir to faint. Before Pinsir fainted, he touched a hidden button on his back and disappeared.
"Y'know, out of everyone I faced, you're the weakest of them all." Red yelled, taunting the Rhydon.
Red charged up his Aura Sphere and shot it at the Rhydon, pinning him in the wall. Red walked towards the Rhydon and said, "It's not nice to harass other Pokémon, that can get you in a LOT of trouble y'know. Now, I'll let you walk away, or I'll pummel you to death. I'm not afraid to finish you, Fruhter." Red said in a menacing voice, putting fear in even Sylvie who was just watching the whole thing.
"Ho- do you know my name?" Fruhter said
"Don't worry about it, now take your pick." Red answered, dodging his enemy's question.
"Never, Valgion will never surrender. I will no-" Fruhter said when he felt a Force Palm touch his stomach the impact caused enough damage to kill the Rhydon. It fell onto the ground lifeless.
Red took the button from Rhydon and destroyed it. Red approached the corpse and whispered to it saying, "I thought I ended Valgion, though, I didn't think I'd be killing a 'mon in my first 3 days. Hope this serves as warning, you shouldn't have forced me to be involved again."
Red stood and looked around and saw that everyone was watching him. This made feel extra uncomfortable since, they saw him straight up murder a Pokémon. "Uhm.. he made me a little mad…?" Red explained questioning himself since he even didn't know what came over him to do that.
"Red. You just killed a Pokémon. I- didn't realize you had that in you. Especially with that situation you had with that Nerd Emoji kid you had at school. You would not defend yourself, I had to come in and set my foot down." Blue spoke in a rather surprised manner yet wasn't angry. "How'd you get such good control of being a Pokémon already?"
"Lucario's teachings? Aura Sphere still works the same, if not better here." Red replied.
"How'd you figure out Force Palm then?" Blue asked in a curious manner.
"Sylvie, you good?" Red asked deliberately dodging Blue's question.
"Uhm.. yup! yup!" Sylvie said quietly, still flabbergasted at Red's speed in taking down a Valgion member.
"How- did you guys swiftly take out Valgion members? And you've never been a Pokémon before. Woah!" Sylvie responded to herself.
The young Riolu just chuckles, while the Dewott comes up to them and says, "Thank you, Thank you, Red, and Mr. Gengar. Here, I don't have much to offer, but you can stay here anytime you like, and for free. Thank you! I wish I had more to thank you with." The Dewott feels flustered over how to thank these Pokémon over saving his life, and potentially saving his hotel and family.
"You don't need to thank us, that's what we do! Heh." Blue said, priding himself over.
"We'll be on our way," Red told Dewott.
"Come back anytime!" Dewott yelled as they walked out.
As they walked towards Sylvie's destination, they were about one tenth of a Pokésquare in when they reached their destination. Throughout their walk, nothing major happened, and no conversation ensued.
"Is this it? The market?" Blue asked.
"Yup! Yup! Oh! That's the guy who I have to give these berries to." Sylvie happily exclaimed. "Perfect timing!"
"Bubbles!" Sylvie yelled out.
"Red, who names their kid Bubbles?" Blue asked.
"Then again, who names their kid Bobbert?" Red responded, shutting Blue up.
"Ah Sylvie! Great to see you again, I trust you have the berries once more?" The towering Blastoise said.
"Of course! Oh yeah, I want you to meet my friends!" Sylvie said, putting the spotlight on Red and Blue.
"If it isn't the Riolu who saved a ton of people from that falling boulder. And a Gengar, I haven't seen one in ages. How are you my friends?" Bubbles asked.
"We're good," Red and Blue both answer at the same time. Then Red's stomach rumbles.
"Good and hungry! Haha, I'd like treat you guys, you did save many people yesterday! Here have some Poffins. Freshly baked, and made by my wife! Go on! Eat up." Bubbles said while laughing.
Red took a nibble then scoffed it down, while Blue tried to eat it but it just phased through him.
"Red and Blue also took down two Valgion members as well, even when they hadn't eaten in few days." Sylvie gloated, embarrassing the two former humans.
"I see, well, I'm glad you two are Sylvie's friends! Also, I almost forgot, here take this to your dad." Bubble handed Sylvie 1,000 Pokécurren.
"Thanks a lot Bubbles! I'll be back next month!" Sylvie waved using her ribbon as she started to depart taking Red and Blue in ribbons as well. Red and Blue also waved until they no longer could see Bubbles nor the market.
"Now, where were we, oh Yup! Yup! We gotta find your friend right?" Sylvie asked the two Pokémon trapped within her ribbons.
"Yeah, that's the plan. Though, we don't know where to look." Red responded.
"I know! Let's check the town hall, he's probably gonna be there. Maybe. Maybe Maybe." Sylvie said, bringing up a good idea.
"You know this place better than us so, take us there. As, the longer we delay, the faster I'll get hungry!" Blue exclaimed, realizing that perhaps that one poffin wouldn't be enough for the day.
"Yup! Yup! Let's go!" Sylvie yelled as she dashed through the streets, turning left, right, and any other direction she took. Soon they arrived at a magnificent building that had multiple spires, all connecting to one massive building that must've reached over 100 feet high. A grand statue of a Shinx and a Riolu holding up a rock that a strange pattern inscribed on it, was in front of the building. The door into the building was giant, including many different types of wood. A Lucario seemed to be inside the building talking to an elderly Shiftry.
"Blue! Look a Lucario, do you think that's him?" Red asked, genuinely inquiring for Blue's opinion.
"Maybe, if not, he's a Lucario, he could help us out to find our Lucario." Blue replied, bringing up a good point.
"Let's see?" Red finished as he ran up to the grand doors and used the knockers. Sylvie and Blue stood behind him in anticipation.
"Hello? Who's there?" A Pokémon said from the other side.
"Hello, we need some help, we need to find someone." Red replied, hoping his answer was good enough.
The door opened revealing a Gallade with glasses. "Hello! Um, how may I assist you?" The Gallade said.
"We need to find a friend. We were hoping he would be nearby? Is it okay if we go inside, so I can explain further?" Red asked, as the sun was burning bright and his fur wasn't helping.
"Oh, of course sir!" The Gallade led the way towards a little waiting room that seemed extremely cozy. The walls were decorated with several pictures of different Pokémon who all seemed important to the political system. A fireplace was along a wall but was not being used due to the heat outside.
"So, explain your story, actually, who are you looking for first?" The Gallade said shuffling his words, clearly being quite shy.
"So, we are looking for a Lucario, and that's also his name. We are looking for him because he said, before we got separated, "Go find Realis Town."" Red explained, hoping that the Receptionist doesn't ask for more detail, even though he probably will, it shouldn't be all that good spreading the word that there is two humans roaming around.
"I see, umm, I know, let me check if we have some by that name.. One moment." The Gallade stood up from his seat and quickly ran behind some doors, and spoke with someone.
Multiple Pokémon with royal-ish looking armor quickly ran outside and surrounded the group. More kept pouring out of the doors. Until, a high-ranking officer stood in front of the trio. The officer was a Tyranitar. He wore many badges, then he spoke.
"I am Commander Hungo. You three are now under investigation for not being our database. You, Sylveon, by being in relations with these Pokémon, are not allowed to leave. Riolu. Gengar. You each do not appear in our database, so therefore, are a threat to our society. How do you plead?" Hungo stated, not allowing the defending trio to get a word in.
"Not guilty, sir, as you presumably know, some building were under attack the other day, I, made sure one of these "Boulders" did not touch any of your civilians, thus protecting them from harm. This would count as an act of protection and I would not be threat. Nor would be the Sylveon or Gengar." Red stated, replying to Hungo's question.
Blue and Sylvie were just watching the entire thing, trying to not look guilty, even though they didn't do anything wrong.
"Mm.. Mhm.. Hmmmm.. I see.. I like your style Riolu! You remind me of an old friend of mine." Hungo hummed as he listened to Red's statement. "Though, I can't allow you to get the best of me. You shall now be executed for disturbing the peace by being apart of Valgion!"
"He didn't really listen to your plea, did he?" Blue whispered into Red's ear.
"Well, I don't wanna die, so we are gonna need to dip." Red responded to Blue.
"Any last words?" Hungo said loudly.
"Maybe, not my last words, but, it's not nice to pick on kids." A voice said, coming from the grand door.
