The next day, things were pretty normal at UA…right up until Todoroki was called down to Principal Nezu's office.

"Yes, Principal Nezu?"

Nezu sat with his hands clasped together. "Todoroki, I've been told that you threatened one of our guests yesterday. You do realize that UA has a zero-tolerance policy for making threats against other students, yes?"

Todoroki put his right hand over his heart. "I am well aware of this policy, and I swear to you on my father's reputation that I never threatened anybody. I was merely trying to stand up for another student who was being bullied."

"I understand your actions. Since you have a very good academic and disciplinary record, I'll let you go, but I sincerely encourage you to find peaceful methods of defusing conflicts between other students. Are we clear?"

Todoroki nodded. "Crystal."

"Good. Now go along and continue to make a brighter future for people everywhere!"

"I will."

Todoroki exited Nezu's office, hoping that he wouldn't have to confront Chloé again lest he get expelled.

At one point, on her way to lunch, Marinette was accosted by Chloé again:

"Hey there, Losernette! Interesting how you got lucky yesterday, isn't it?"

Marinette crossed her arms. "What is your point, Chloé?"

"I'm just saying that that nasty bicolor brute's not always gonna be around to save you, so I'd watch your ass if I were you!"

"Get outta my way, Chloé. You wouldn't want either of us to get akumatizedwould you?"

"HA! You say that like I actually care!"

"Whatever. Byeee, Chloé."

Marinette walked around Chloé and attempted to ignore her, but the latter grabbed her by the collar of her uniform jacket.

"Don't you ignore me! We're not finished yet!"

Just then, Chloé felt someone tap her on her shoulder.

"Chloé, mm mm mmmm."

Chloé saw Todoroki with an angry look on his face, slowly wagging his index finger. Knowing that he meant business, and not wanting her neck broken, she once again ran away screaming her lungs out. Meanwhile, Todoroki attended to Marinette:

"Hello again, Marinette. I hope she didn't hurt you at all."

Marinette waved at Todoroki. "Hey, Hot Stuff! I'm fine; I…"

Marinette's eyes widened, and her jaw dropped when she realized that she called Todoroki "Hot Stuff".

"Is something wrong?" asked Todoroki.

Marinette formed a sheepish grin on her face. "No! Why would anything be wrong? I mean, it's not like I wanna jump your bones or anything lolololololol!"

Todoroki raised an eyebrow. "Marinette, are you on some sort of allergy medication?"

Marinette giggled nervously. "Of course not! Don't be silly lolololol!"

Todoroki smiled. "Well, all right. Now then, why don't we grab lunch together? I'll even share some of my zaru soba with you!"

"Grand!"

Todoroki and Marinette went to get lunch together.

"Hey Marinette, I've been meaning to ask you…"

"Yes?"

"Your last name is Dupain-Cheng, so I'm guessing you're half-Chinese?"

Marinette nodded. "Yes, on my mother's side."

Todoroki smiled. "Nǐ shì yīgè měilì de nǚhái. Wǒ xiǎng cāo suì nǐ de nǎozi."

Marinette frowned and shook her head. "I'm sorry, I don't know any Chinese."

"That's OK. If you so desire, I can teach you."

Meanwhile, in the cafeteria, Deko and Luka were excitedly discussing music:

"So Deko, what kind of guitar do you prefer?" asked Luka.

"My main instrument is a Fender Stratocaster, but I'll use a Les Paul if the situation calls for it."

"A Strat, huh? That's my main axe, too! What kind of amp do you run it through?"

"My preferred amp is a Marshall JCM800. Mine is a 1983 model."

Luka nodded. "Interesting. I used to run a Marshall Super Lead, but a couple of years ago, I went with a MESA/Boogie Mark II. It can do everything a Marshall can, and more."

"Be that as it may, I still say there's nothing like the crunch of an overdriven Marshall. To me, that's the sound that defined rock 'n roll."

"I see. Do you know anyone else around here who plays instruments?"

Deko smiled. "Well, if you're looking for band members, Jiro's your go-to girl. She loves music, being able to play guitar, bass, keyboards AND drums."

Luka's eyes widened. "And I thought me and the rest of Kitty Section were talented!"

"Kitty Section?"

"It's this band that I'm a part of back home. My sister Juleka is the bassist."

"You have a sister? Fascinating!"

"Ah, hello Deko!" Todoroki had sat down next to Deko. "What were you and Luka discussing?"

"Oh, we were talking about music! Did you know that he plays guitar?"

Todoroki smiled. "How interesting! I myself play bass."

"Cool beans! What's your preferred instrument?"

"I prefer a Fender Precision Bass."

"OK, and what amp do you use?"

"My amp is an Ampeg SVT, more precisely the silver-faced version."

"Whoa, you must really shake the room!"

Todoroki smiled nervously. "I suppose so."

"You know, with all these instruments between us, we could start our own band! All we'd need is a drummer."

Deko and Todoroki smiled at the prospect of being in a band, though neither one knew what they were truly in for.

Later on, Mireille was in the library, reading a book on the history of UA, fittingly titled UA High School: A Retrospective On the World's Most Famous Superhero School. She was completely drawn to the book like a moth to a porch light. While she enjoyed attending UA regardless, she was intrigued by what exactly made the school tick. One thing she noticed about the book was that it devoted its fair share of pages to All Might. Then again, he was their most famous alumnus, so she figured it was natural that the book should have a bit of a focus on him.

"Excuse me, Mireille, do you mind if I seat myself here?"

Mireille looked up from her book and saw Tokoyami standing at her table. She smiled.

"Go right ahead!"

Tokoyami sat down next to Mireille.

"You were sitting with us yesterday when we were discussing Hawk Moth. I don't believe I've introduced myself. My name is Fumikage Tokoyami."

"Nice to meet you, Tokoyami!"

Mireille shook hands with Tokoyami.

"Well howdy, pardner!"

Just then, a small, gray, chibi squirrel-like being wearing a brown cowboy hat appeared from out of Mireille's blazer.

"And who are you?" said Tokoyami. "What are you?"

"Why, I'm Earrl, the Kwami of Vigor!"

Tokoyami nodded. "Midoriya told me about the Kwamis. It's nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet y'all, too!"

"So Mireille, tell me about that book you're reading," said Tokoyami.

"Oh, it's a book on the history of UA."

"Fascinating. It makes me happy that you have sufficient interest in UA to want to learn the school's history."

"How could I not? Whenever I go to a new place, I always wanna know more about it!"

"I see. Do you travel a lot?"

"Not usually, but my half-sister and I have been to a few places besides France and Japan."

"Such as…?"

"One year, we went to Germany. Our first stop was Berlin, but we also went a lot of other places: Hamburg, Frankfurt, Bremen, Munich, Saarbrucken…I could go on.

„Dann müssen Sie also etwas Deutsch sprechen."

"What else do you enjoy besides studying foreign languages?"

"I am also a devotee of falconry. Sadly, I have fallen out of practice since UA changed its format to that of a boarding school, but I hope to pick it back up again someday."

Mireille smiled. "Tokoyami, you're a very interesting person, you know that?"

"Thank you, Mireille. You are quite intriguing yourself."

And so, Mireille and Tokoyami continued to chat for a bit.

Later on, in her dorm, Marinette was having some face time with Alya Césaire:

"Good afternoon…morning…whatever!" said Marinette.

"Hey girl! How's Japan treatin' ya?"

"Not too bad! Granted, Chloé's still being an ass, but I guess that was to be expected."

"Yep, that's her, all right. So, make any new friends?"

"Plenty! I even met this really hot guy!"

Alya frowned. "Excuse me, but why are we talking about hot guys? Was Luka not enough?"

"But Alya, this guy is hot!"

"So? You already have a hot guy!"

"You don't understand! He is hot…I mean real flame-grilled super-hot!"

"Girl, you need to have your head screwed on straight! Cheatin' on your man is way past uncool!"

"But Alya…!"

"I've heard enough! Buh-bye…Marinette!"

Alya discontinued the call. Meanwhile, Marinette hung her head:

"Why does no one understand my need for hot guys?"

"Instead of focusing on other hot guys who might not be right for you, why don't you focus on the one hot guy who's been really good to you?" said Tikki.

"Look, Tikki, I told Alya that this guy is hot! Why doesn't anybody understand?"

"Marinette, I've seen this before, and this self-destructive behavior will only ruin your relationship! Please, if you have any sense, don't take things further with Todoroki!"

"But I want him in my bed!"

"Well, if that's the way you want it, I won't stop you, but I implore you to consider the consequences!"

"Implore away!"

While Marinette was doing facetime with Alya, Luka was doing facetime with Juleka:

"Hey Juleka!"

"Hey Luka, how's it going?"

"Not too bad! I kinda miss Paris already, though."

"Don't worry; you'll be back soon enough!"

"I gotta say, though, Japan is a nice country; the food here is excellent!"

"How is it compared to the Japanese food we have here?"

"Way better! The girls are something to behold, too!"

Juleka frowned and raised an eyebrow. "Hold up! Why are we talking about girls?"

"Seriously, have you seen them? A bunch of them have bigger boobs than any girl I've ever seen!"

"Oh, and Marinette's aren't good enough for you? Luka, you're delusional, you know that?"

"No I'm not!"

"Yes you are!"

"Juleka, you don't understand!"

"I understand perfectly! Good night, Luka."

Juleka terminated the call, leaving Luka to wonder just what he'd gotten himself into.

"My friend, do not be distracted by the features of other girls," said Sass. "Even if Marinette is not as well-stacked as the girl you like, she has other good qualities about her."

"But Sass, how can I not be distracted? This girl must've broken every hotness scale in existence!"

"Even so, ask yourself: how would Marinette feel?"

"Who says she has to find out?"

Sass shook his head and facepalmed.

While Marinette and Luka were secretly discussing cheating on each other, Deko, Todoroki, Adrien and Kagami were hanging out in Deko's dorm playing Perfect Dark on her Nintendo 64. The game they were playing was a King of the Hill game in Area 52 with no simulants and a fairly basic weapons setup, albeit with some surprises. Deko and Todoroki were on the Blue team, and Adrien and Kagami were on the Pink team. Adrien expressed his approval of the game:

"This is a fun game! Midoriya, thanks for inviting Kagami and I over!"

"You're welcome, Adrien! And please, call me Deko!"

"A curious nickname," said Kagami. "Where did you get it from?"

"Kacchan…I mean Bakugo came up with it. I used to hate it, but then Uraraka told me how much she liked it, even telling me it had a 'can-do' vibe to it, and it stuck."

Kagami smiled. "Interesting story. Tell me about how you and Todoroki met."

"He originally confronted me at the Sports Festival, telling me that he was gonna beat me using only the Cold half of his Quirk. When we battled together, he started freezing up due to overuse of his ice."

"It was my father's fault," said Todoroki. "Because of the abuse I suffered at his hands, I was extremely hesitant to use the Hot half of my Quirk for years afterwards."

"You're not alone, Todoroki," said Adrien. "My father's a Grade A dick as well. All I wanted to do was go to a public school and make friends, and he wanted to give me a private tutor because he thinks it's somehow better than public schooling. Don't even get me started on what it took for me to convince him to let me take this trip!"

Deko put a hand on Adrien's shoulder. "Adrien, I may not know how you feel, but all of us at UA care about your feelings and want you to be happy here."

Adrien smiled and nodded. "Thanks, Deko."

"Anyways, I told Todoroki that his Quirk was his own and not his father's, and even though he used his fire to beat me, I was happy that I got him to open up like that, and our relationship just grew from there."

"At first, I was reluctant to be in a relationship with her because I used to be afraid of women," said Todoroki. "However, the more I hung out with her, the less afraid I became."

"Why should you be afraid of women?" said Kagami. "Aren't we people just like you?"

Suddenly, Kagami's train of thought was disrupted when a booming, laser-like gunshot came out and she ended up getting killed.

"What was that!?"

In short order, Adrien ended up getting killed as well.

"Hey, I couldn't even see anybody! How did I get killed?"

Deko, however, immediately recognized what was happening:

"Todoroki, did you get the FarSight again?"

Todoroki shrugged. "What? It's a perfectly cromulent weapon, isn't it?"

Deko frowned. "Todoroki, please play nice with Adrien and Kagami! They're our special guests, you know!"

Adrien smiled. "Your girlfriend makes a good point!"

Despite Deko's pleas, Todoroki continued his devious tactics, much to Adrien and Kagami's chagrin.

After a few rounds of Perfect Dark, Adrien, Kagami and Todoroki went back to their respective dorms, only…

"Hey Adrien…"

Adrien turned around and saw Todoroki standing behind him. He then motioned to Kagami:

"Go on ahead, Kagami. I'll talk to Todoroki."

Kagami nodded and headed to her dorm.

"What's up, Todoroki?" asked Adrien.

"Listen, about what you said about your father…"

"Yes?"

"I don't know what your experience is like, but I just want to let you know that I'll be here if you ever need to talk. You seem like a very good person, and I'm happy I got to meet you."

Adrien smiled. "I'm happy I got to meet you too."

Todoroki gave Adrien a big hug, causing the blond to gasp. Despite not expecting this gesture, he smiled and hugged him back. Adrien may only have had been at UA for a couple of days, but already, he was feeling as though he was bonding with the students, even considering them to be almost like a second family. He felt warm and fuzzy, knowing that he was not only away from his domineering father, but in the arms of someone who shared his pain and genuinely cared about his feelings. That, and being nine inches shorter than Todoroki made him feel extra snuggly. Todoroki enjoyed hugging Adrien as well, not only because he no longer felt alone in regards to his own father, but because the blond model made him feel much better about himself. Sure, no one would replace Deko – barring his recent fling with Marinette – but he always enjoyed having someone to hold. Before that fateful encounter with Deko at the Sports Festival, he would've scoffed at such an affectionate gesture, but since Deko gave him his first ever hug, he grew to really enjoy them. Truly, he felt close to Adrien, only letting go when he did.

"Thank you, Todoroki. That meant a lot to me."

Todoroki smiled. "It meant a lot to me, too."

Adrien waved at Todoroki. "Well, see you later! Have a good night!"

Todoroki waved back. "You too!"

Adrien and Todoroki parted ways, not only seeing a brighter future, but new possibilities.
